Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of October 11, 2010

Monday

Out by the Santa Monica Pier, Stephanie tried to get her scarf back from the girl wielding the broken bottle, as Brooke looked on in horror. Rather than
listen to Stephanie, the girl dropped her makeshift weapon and ran off. At
Forrester, Ridge told Eric, Thorne and the kids that Brooke was coming back
to the company and "it's not open for discussion." As Steffy flipped out,
Hope grinned. Thorne and Eric worried about how Stephanie would react to the
news. Brooke and Stephanie soon showed up at the company, bickering.
Stephanie told Brooke she looked like "death warmed over," and shooed her
off to comb her hair...lest they walk in to the meeting together and make
everyone suspicious. Eric handed Stephanie a martini and then Brooke came
in. When Ridge announced Brooke's return to the company, Stephanie shocked
everyone by shrugging, "Okay! What's next on the agenda?" Ridge then told
Steffy that a coveted PR position had opened up at Forrester International
and told her to think about it. Stephanie followed that up by saying she was
planning a family vacation for everyone on a yacht. Ridge assumed this was
Brooke and Stephanie's big secret, and they let him believe that. Everyone
welcomed Brooke back and as Brooke hugged Ridge and caught Stephanie's gaze,
Steph made a lip-zipping motion. Later, Hope found a shirtless Thomas
lifting weights at the Sky Lounge and she thanked him for supporting her
mother. Back in Ridge's office, everybody else was trying to suss out
Stephanie's eccentric behavior. As for Brooke and Stephanie, they continued
to argue about Stephanie keeping her family in the dark. Stephanie said she
had accepted her death as inevitable, but claimed "I am not going to die
without my mother's red scarf!" Back under the pier, the girl tucked the
scarf around her neck.

At Jackie M, Whip vented to Aggie about the crazy changes Nick had
instituted at the company. Whip was glad Nick had Aggie to lean on. She
beamed, saying she'd "never been happier." Meanwhile, down the hall in
Nick's office, Amber pulled back from planting a big ol' kiss on the boss
man! "You can't kiss me like that!" Nick gasped. Amber said she'd gotten
caught up in the moment. She should've just hugged him or shaken his hand!
Aggie insisted Nick was doing what's best for everyone. Whip pointed out
she's not exactly impartial. Aggie admitted it was kind of a relief to have
Bridget gone and have Nick all to herself. Nearby, Amber continued to
apologize for her impulsive behavior and thanked Nick for giving her a line.
As she swore she wouldn't let him down and assured him "the thing that
happened before," wouldn't happen again, Whip listened in. Later, Nick
hugged Aggie and they exchanged supportive words, and Whip cornered Amber.
Since he was responsible for bringing her to the company, he didn't want her
to make him regret that decision. He warned her against cozying up to Nick
and Amber huffed, saying she was "thanking Nick for giving me the
opportunity of my life." Whip refused to let Amber jeopardize Aggie's
happiness.

Tuesday

Ridge and Brooke canoodled and Brooke assured Ridge she's thrilled to be back. Still, he sensed that she's worried about Stephanie. She tried to tell
him what Stephanie's secret is, venting about how she'd been off riding on a
roller coaster on the Santa Monica Pier with his mom. Ridge found the idea
of them "playing hooky" hilarious and didn't want to know the secret unless
Stephanie was ready to tell him herself. "Don't betray her trust," he urged.
At home, Stephanie went through paperwork and photos and thought about her
diagnosis. Then, Eric came home and grew worried about Stephanie's
persistent cough. He wondered what was going on with her and she claimed she
was just upset over losing Ann's scarf to some "tattooed druggie." Eric
couldn't fathom why she'd been down at the Santa Monica Pier. She laughed it
off as her craving lobster. Then, Dr. Lewis made a house call. Stephanie
made excuses to Eric and then stressed to her internist that she wasn't
interested in treatment. "This way, I'll just go sooner, rather than later,"
she shrugged. She wanted to spend her last days having fun with her family.
As for Eric, he was back at the office, noting to Ridge that Stephanie was
undergoing "a whole sea change." Ridge viewed it as "something very
positive" for the family and then admitted Stephanie and Brooke have some
kind of secret.

At Taylor's office, she and Whip cuddled and played doctor. "I'll tell you
what...we'll keep the shades open," she purred, before he told her all about
Nick's firings at Jackie M. They then went back to making out. Later, Brooke
came to see Taylor, hoping that doctor/patient confidentiality would allow
her to unburden herself. Taylor agreed and Brooke began gently broaching the
subject of this "friend" who has stage four lung cancer. Given what Brooke
was saying about this person "badgering" her and whatnot, Taylor guessed she
was talking about Stephanie. "You have to help me, Taylor!" Brooke pleaded,
as Taylor reeled from the news. Brooke vented about Stephanie checking stuff
off her bucket list instead of fighting. "She isn't fighting, because she
doesn't have any fight left in her," Taylor surmised. Later, Brooke came
back to Stephanie's and Stephanie guessed that she'd told someone. Who?
"Me," said Taylor, walking up behind them and then hugging Stephanie.

Wednesday

Stephanie was none-too-happy to have her secret out and she asked Taylor to keep silent, too. Taylor begged Stephanie to let her help. Brooke accused Stephanie of being "in denial," and Taylor talked about how Stephanie was going to deteriorate if she didn't get treated. Stephanie started waxing poetic about how wonderful Taylor was as a daughter-in-law, but Taylor wasn't deterred. Brooke and Taylor were a united front trying to get through to Stephanie, who just wasn't having it. "I'm not ready to lose my best
friend," Taylor declared. Stephanie ended the chat, determined to go do more things on her bucket list. This time, both Brooke and Taylor were along for the ride. They went on a street car-like ride called Angel's Flight. Stephanie flashed back on her relationship with Eric as it rose higher and higher. Brooke thought of her long history with Stephanie, as did Taylor.

At the Sky Lounge, Liam and Hope smooched and then Liam admitted he's nervous about the article on Steffy he submitted to Bill. Hope wondered if her stepsister was "behaving herself" and wished him luck. At Spencer Publications, Bill told Liam his piece was "monotonous." It "reads like a textbook," he intoned, saying he was only interested in one set of figures: Steffy's! "What do you want, soft porn?" boggled Liam. Bill explained they were in business to make money and the easiest way to make money was "three letters: S-E-X." Bill schooled his son in the basics, telling him "you have to give the readers something they can get excited about." Liam went back to Forrester for his last chat with Steffy with a new attitude, instructing a lingerie-clad Steffy to don glasses and pose behind Ridge's desk. As for Hope, she found Oliver working out at the Sky Lounge. They were awkward and cute, as Oliver insisted he'd some day get Hope back. He kissed the side of Hope's head and assured her he'd wait. Also awkward and cute were Liam and Steffy, as Liam admitted Bill had blasted him for his first draft. Steffy very insightfully suggested they try to give Bill substance and skin. When Liam wondered why she was making him her project, she made her interest known. He reminded her he's with Hope. Then, Hope came in! Steffy surprised them both with the news that she was leaving to work at Forrester International in Paris for a while. Oliver eavesdropped, boggling at the thought of Steffy giving up on Liam. He wouldn't give up on Hope.

Thursday

Stephanie reflected on life and death while riding the Angels Flight train with Brooke. She apologized to Brooke for all the trouble she has caused her. They looked out the window and spied the girl who took Stephanie's scarf. Brooke left to get the car and Stephanie attempted to chase the young woman through a crowded market. She grew short of breath and the girl got away.

Brooke returned to find Stephanie gone. She questioned a man selling CDs and playing guitar. He had seen Stephanie but did not know where she went. Brooke realized that the young woman with Stephanie's scarf had been selling the same CDs. Brooke approached a police officer for help finding Stephanie, but he was unhelpful. Brooke then defended the street musician when the officer told him to leave. The musician told Brooke he would take her to the young woman and assured her that Stephanie would be fine.

Taylor talked to Stephanie's doctor about her condition. At the hospital, Pam overheard a nurse give Dr. Lewis the scan and X-rays for Mrs. Stephanie Forrester. She was devastated to hear that her sister has less than a 5% chance of survival. Taylor explained Stephanie's condition to Pam; Pam was very upset to learn that Stephanie has refused treatment.

While Steph was walking the streets of L.A., a homeless woman recognized her from an incident years earlier. Stephanie took off her jewelry when she spotted a large crowd of homeless people. She located the girl who offered her a seat and water to help ease her coughing. The young woman still refused to give the scarf back, even when Stephanie offered her diamond jewelry. When the girl ran off at the sound of trouble, Stephanie snatched her scarf from the top of a cardboard box. She was shocked to find a baby inside!

Friday

Pam wanted to chase after Stephanie, to convince her to fight her cancer, but Taylor insisted she cannot get through to Steph.

Dayzee told Stephanie that she is just watching 5-month-old Tanya while her real mother is in rehab. Dayzee went to fetch some baby food, giving Steph time to observe the plight of the homeless around her. When Dayzee returned, she warned Stephanie to leave before nightfall, when the drug dealers come with guns. Steph admitted that she never liked the scarf, and only kept it to remind herself of an old feud. Dayzee insisted she doesn't do drugs — she helps her neighbors. Stephanie offered to buy Tanya a crib, and wished she was a young woman with a baby again. Dayzee revealed that she once invented another persona — one whose mother didn't run out on her. Steph suggested that with dreams, one can accomplish anything. Dayzee said you take what you're given and do the best you can. She described her neighbors as people who have lost everything and have nowhere to go but up — and are trying their best. When Steph revealed her cancer, Dayzee urged her to get treatment. Rummaging through Dayzee's belongings, Stephanie found hopeful slogans like, "After 'to love,' the verb 'to help' is the most beautiful word in the world," written on scraps of paper.

Brooke's fears for Stephanie's safety with Dayzee offended Anthony, who hobbled off. Brooke clarified that she was concerned about Steph's Stage 4 lung cancer. Anthony agreed to help, but his foot was acting up. When he was a kid, his dad left — but not before nailing Anthony's foot to the floor to keep him from following. But he admitted he likes his life. "I don't like owning stuff," he huffed. He may be homeless, but, "L.A. is my home," and he is also taxless. He was certain he knows more people who would give him their last dime than Brooke does. Anthony gave her a sweat shirt to put on and told her to hide her purse, as he took her to Central City East — Skid Row — "where Dayzee works her magic."

As she watched Dayzee tending others who were worse off, Steph mused how she lives just 20 minutes away from this world, but it feels a million miles away. "What have I done with my life?" she asked, wondering why she hasn't helped. "What is my burden, compared to theirs?" Then Brooke found her! Steph agreed to get treated. She introduced Brooke to Dayzee. As Steph walked, her scarf blew away, but she let it go, noting that somebody else needs it more. The scarf floated past graffiti reading, "What I see can be me."
