Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of November 8, 2010

Monday

Hope checked on Oliver upstairs in his office and was glad to hear he still had a job. Oliver was glad to receive her happy hug! "You're my Hope and I'm not giving up," he told her, praising her big heart. Hope told Oliver she was looking forward to them being a "dynamic duo" at Forrester. She didn't want to send Oliver mixed signals, though. "I think that our lives are tied together," he told her, saying they could look toward their future and promising he would be there for her. He kissed her and she responded. "It's never going to be over for us," he murmured.

Thomas told Brooke he had an idea to draw attention to his line. "Remember to follow my lead," he said, as she warily agreed. In the audience, Taylor and Whip bickered about Thomas needing to "do something big" to make a splash. Behind the scenes, Ridge hoped they could parlay the buzz for Hope For the Future into more buzz for the men's line. Milling about, Liam beamed to his dad and Katie that things "couldn't be better" between him and Hope. "I'm going to leave you two ladies to your Harlequin romance," Bill snarked to Katie and Liam. Back behind the scenes, Thomas assured Marcus he looked great in a suit that was actually kind of heinous and then he and Rick had an awkward exchange that touched on their past tension.

Brooke, now clad in a long golden gown, came out to chat with Taylor and Whip. Taylor figured Brooke was "due" for another scandal and didn't want her son involved. Then, it was time for Thomas to gather and rally the troops. "Knock 'em dead," said Ridge, telling his son he's proud of him. Thomas went out to the runway and introduced the new men's line as a departure from the traditional business suit. The boys took their turns on the catwalk, but the press looked far from thrilled and Thomas knew it. "It's time to pull out the big guns," Brooke surmised. Thomas asked her to promise she'd go with him on whatever he did. Thomas walked out on the runway in the showstopper suit and then gestured for Brooke to join him. As they accepted everyone's warm claps, he bent her back and planted a kiss on her! Jaws dropped, Brooke was all flustered, and Bill was out of his seat applauding!

Tuesday

The Forrester Creations showroom was all abuzz after Thomas planted a big smooch on Brooke. He'd certainly made sure his men's line left a memorable impression! As the press and guests dispersed, Thomas had to explain himself to an irate Taylor and a peeved Ridge. "I've created a buzz. I've given us exposure," he shrugged. Taylor, of course, blamed it all on Brooke. Ridge understood why Thomas had done what he'd done, but judged it "painfully misdirected" and noted that it would affect the whole company. Out on the floor, everybody else was trying to deal with the situation and Eric and Thorne asked Whip to leave. Bill, meanwhile, liked that the scandal would "make me a lot of coin." Later, Thomas tried, again, to explain himself to Taylor. "They're not going to remember your designs..." she pointed out of the press. "They're going to remember you kissing your father's wife." But Thomas wouldn't be swayed. "I did what had to be done, and it worked," he dismissed. Meanwhile, Brooke changed her clothes and found Ridge in his office. She assured him she was "just as surprised as you were" by the kiss. Ridge accepted that, but wondered why Brooke had gone along with it! "You're not suggesting that I encouraged this?" Brooke boggled. She was sure people would realize it was "just a stunt" and it would "blow over." She begged Ridge not to lose faith in her.

Stephanie and Dayzee had a heart-to-heart, as Dayzee told Stephanie she'd have plenty of time to start volunteering at the mission. Stephanie then gave her a hefty donation check. Dayzee admitted that Marcus has been leaving voicemails for her at work and she might have to go out with him soon. They marveled at how life could turn out. Later, Eric came home and found Stephanie reading instead of resting. He filled her in on all the fashion show drama. Stephanie couldn't believe Brooke had pulled Tom into a scandal!

Wednesday

In his office, Ridge and Brooke discussed the fashion show kiss. Brooke insisted that she didn't know what Thomas was planning and wouldn't have encouraged it, but acknowledged it as a way of getting press attention. Ridge was upset that Brooke managed to get involved in another scandal. Brooke accused her husband of seeing her through Taylor's eyes. Meanwhile, Thomas told his mother he saw a chance to steal the spotlight from Hope and he and took it. Taylor continued to blame the kiss on Brooke's desire to be the center of attention and her constant lack of judgment. In an attempt to get Thomas to admit his own mistake, Taylor admitted that she should have involved him in her decision to give Steffy her shares of Forrester. Thomas stood his ground, maintained that the kiss was a business move and that he would go to the mat for Brooke.

At the mansion, Eric and Stephanie also discussed the kiss. Stephanie thought Brooke had really changed during the past weeks and was disappointed that she's involved the Forrester family in yet another scandal. Eric encouraged his wife to wait for all the information and hear Thomas' explanation. Stephanie asked for her laptop so she could watch the kiss on the Internet and then called Ridge. Ridge told Brooke he needed time to get
his thoughts together and left to see his mother. Taylor then arrived at the office looking for Ridge, but still took the opportunity to call Brooke sick and destructive. Brooke once again told Taylor that it was Thomas' idea and begged her not to do anything to ruin her relationship with Stephanie. Stephanie informed Ridge that she really wants to believe in Brooke, but after watching the footage online she doesn't know what to think. Brooke promised no more scandals and that's exactly what this kiss is. A frantic Brooke showed up at the Forrester door desperate to make things right with Stephanie and Ridge. Eric told her to calm down as it won't help her case. Brooke went upstairs to talk to her husband and mother-in-law, who locked her out of the room. From the hallway, Brooke pleaded for them to understand and forgive.

Thursday

At Forrester, Hope confided in Thomas about kissing the wrong person.
"There's a lot of that going around," he noted, wryly. When Hope boggled at
that cryptic comment, Thomas explained what she'd missed after leaving the
fashion show. "It's what my father would do," he said of kissing Brooke.
"Because he's married to her!" Hope replied. Thomas hoped Hope would
understand why he'd pulled the stunt, given how they'd grown up amid so much
drama and scandal. Hope said Thomas sounded "like a brat" and called him
"self-serving." Thomas mused that maybe he did want his childhood back, but
then explained that they were a business, not "clergy" and he'd gotten
people looking their way. Hope pointed out that models, marketing, and even
Thomas taking his pants off would've accomplished that! He didn't have to
"throw my mother under the bus." Thomas shrugged that Brooke would be fine
and brushed off the scandal. He didn't care about getting famous for the
wrong reasons: "People don't want to know you for the right ones. That's how
publicity works." A disappointed Hope finally got where he was coming from,
but still wanted him to comprehend what he'd done to their parents.

Brooke begged to be let in to Stephanie's room, but Stephanie asked for a
"private moment" with her son. Eric
showed up, too, wondering what was going on. Stephanie shut the door on him
and Brooke and turned to talk to Ridge. Downstairs, as Eric tried to have a
sensible chat with Brooke, Stephanie was taking a similar approach with
Ridge. She had him watch the video and asked him to pay attention to what he
was "really thinking and really feeling." She wondered if he would ever
consider kissing Hope. Of course not, because it's taboo, right? However,
Brooke always lands in these situations! (Apparently Stephanie forgot about
the time Ridge nearly hooked up with Bridget...) Downstairs, Brooke hoped
Ridge could forgive her, and Eric wondered how it was that she kept getting
younger over the years. Then, Stephanie made her way down with Ridge's help.
Brooke kept insisting that she'd had no part in Thomas' actions. "With you,
it's always accidental, isn't it?" Stephanie sighed, revealing she feels
betrayed. Eric helped her back upstairs. Alone, Ridge wondered if Brooke had
even thought about him when the kiss happened. Brooke said that would be
like thinking about her arms or her legs. He was the engine that kept her
going. That impassioned speech didn't really take. Ridge stayed behind to
check on his mom, telling Brooke he'd be home "later." Up in Stephanie's
room, she marveled at how Brooke can always explain herself out of her
troubles. Home alone, Brooke paced and turned off the lights. When the door
opened, and she saw a tall figure, she called out "Ridge?" But it was
Thomas!

Friday

At her place, Brooke was surprised to see Thomas, and Thomas was glad his
dad wasn't home! He'd wanted to check on her. Thomas, again, explained
his reasoning behind the big kiss stunt. He damned Brooke with faint praise
by noting how nobody creates a "spectacle" better than her. Brooke tried to
get through to him about what he'd done to his family and why he'd made his
choices. Back at Forrester, Ridge was looking at photos and staring at his
phone, clearly conflicted. When Ridge got home, Thomas asked Brooke to let
him talk to Ridge and handle the situation. Ridge was in no mood to chat.
"Fine. I'll talk. You listen," said his upstart son. Ridge wanted an
apology, which he knew Thomas had no intention of making. Thomas urged his
dad to focus on Brooke, saying she doesn't deserve to be punished for what
Thomas did. He asked Ridge to go upstairs and let her off the hook.
Unfortunately, when Ridge went up to the bedroom, he was still giving Brooke
the cold shoulder. As they got ready for bed, Brooke pleaded for him to look
at her. "We don't go to bed angry," she reminded, stressing that this
scandal was the last one. "We cannot go through this again," sighed Ridge.
She swore, "It won't," and kissed him. Ridge caved and kissed her back.

At his beach house, Oliver took a swim, then studied shots of
Hope's fashion show. He flashed back on kissing her. Moments later, Hope
knocked at the door. She admitted their kiss was on her mind, too, but then
wanted to explain how she's feeling. Oliver said things happen for a reason
and, clearly, something had changed. "I'm
with Liam now," she insisted. Oliver wondered if all her conflicts were
because Thomas kissing Brooke had dredged up the whole graduation party
fiasco. She denied that, asking him to accept that she's with someone else
now. Oliver assured her that he's not going anywhere and his feelings for
her aren't changing. He leaned in...and kissed her cheek. Struck silent,
Hope grabbed her purse and left. Not two seconds later, Amber showed up.
Oliver told her to go away, but she begged him to let her in so she could
explain everything. She talked about how she'd developed tunnel vision
pursuing her dream at Jackie M and the stakes were "just too high." Oliver
wasn't moved by her take on things...at first. Amber's combo of tenacity and
vulnerability softened him. She apologized profusely for what she'd done to
him, kissed him, and asked him to let her stay all night. "Let me make it up
to you," she urged. "Be my friend, Oliver."
