Monday
Taylor pointed out to Ridge that his family never wanted him to go away and
want him back. Ridge accused his mom for orchestrating the intervention but
his kids insisted they all have been thinking this way. Ridge admitted that
he missed the family dynamic and Stephanie pointed out the inherent problems
with a relationship with Brooke, including Nick. Taylor conceded that
Ridge's love for Brooke always scared her but that was in the past. "I'm not
afraid to fight back," Tay declared. Thomas and Steffy challenged their
parents to a tennis match which caused Stephanie to smile at the warm
interaction. While Ridge went into the den to change into his tennis
clothes, Stephanie noticed that Brooke was calling on his cell but didn't
bother to alert him. As Taylor headed out to the tennis court, she said she
hadn't been this happy in a long time. She and Ridge embraced on the terrace
before facing off with their kids.
After Jack went down for his nap, Nick and Katie engaged in a friendly game
of Nerf basketball. It wasn't long until a winded Nick needed to take a
break. Katie went for his bowl of pistachios and Nick ordered, "Keep your
hands off my nuts!" Katie informed Nick that Rick is recuperating at
Brooke's house and that Ridge moved out. Nick opined that Brooke doesn't
deserve the "cuckoo drama" with Ridge, then proclaimed that those two aren't
his business anymore. Nick and Katie next had sex on the living room floor.
Rick got up out of his bed to grab his Blackberry off the nearby dresser.
Brooke walked in to find her son sitting on the edge of his bed. She freaked
that he was pushing himself prematurely and maneuvered him back into a
laying position. Rick was touched by his mother's concern but also expressed
his own worries of her being involved with Ridge. Brooke reminded that once
Rick has recovered, Ridge will move back in and they will be married.
Tuesday
Ridge ended up staying the night in a guest room at Taylor's place instead
of going to a hotel. She had breakfast waiting for him on the terrace. "It
was fun hanging out with you and the kids," Ridge smiled. When Taylor said
she would have his favorite dinner ready for him tonight, he worried that he
was sending her mixed signals. Taylor insisted that she can handle it.
Eric visited Rick, who acted depressed and revealed he wasn't interested in
coming back to Forrester Creations. When Eric started defending Ridge, Rick
blasted his big brother's treatment of Brooke and Taylor plus revealed how
Ridge was ready to take over Forrester while Eric was in his coma. Rick said
he couldn't put up with Ridge's power trips anymore and refused to come back
to work unless his father gives him "equal footing with Ridge." After Eric
left, Rick once again got out of bed and practiced his walking. He picked up
a photo of he and Ridge with Eric and ripped Ridge out. "You are finished
controlling this family," Rick seethed.
Armed with boxes, Donna showed up at the Forerster mansion, ready to move
back in with Eric. She wasn't pleased to find Stephanie still there. After
Steph thanked Donna for not pressing charges against Pam (who is getting
treatment in Chicago), Donna offered her soon-to-be-emptied boxes for Steph
to pack up and leave but she declared she wasn't going anywhere. "I have
every reason to believe he's going to stay with me now," Stephanie chirped.
As Donna started to argue that point, Eric showed up and they asked who he
wants for his wife. "I know exactly what I have to do to solve this
problem," Eric smiled.
Taylor showed up at Ridge's office where Brooke was waiting to perform a
striptease. Assuming Ridge had entered, Brooke switched on sexy music and
started doing a sexy dance, then screamed upon seeing who her audience was.
The ladies were soon sniping about Ridge, who appeared just in time to
mediate. Brooke found out that Ridge spent the night at Taylor's house and
assumed a seduction scene went on. Taylor pointed out that she didn't have
to resort to such behavior like Brooke does. Brooke ordered Ridge to stay
anywhere else but with his ex wife.
Wednesday
Stephanie and Donna cornered Eric to find out which woman he wants to be with. Eric announced that he's not ready to make a choice because he has too much to deal with right now, citing Rick's accident. The ladies launched into vows about how they will stand by his side. Eric said that they didn't need to plead their cases, he proposed that the three of them all live together at the mansion for a while.
At Forrester, Brooke confronted Ridge about spending the night at Taylor's place. Taylor, was all too happy to pile on, mentioning that Brooke is the one who asked Ridge to move out for a while. Ridge told Brooke that he thinks Rick is milking his "paralysis" to drive a wedge between them. While Taylor sat on a sofa, dramatically reading a magazine, Brooke laid some sweet talk on Ridge and cooed about how much she missed him. She asked him to come by her house, smooched him and exited — but not before informing Taylor that there won't be any more sleepovers.
Brooke visited Rick's bedside and mentioned that Ridge stayed over at Taylor's, quickly adding that it was only so that the exes could spend family time with their children. Rick predicted that Ridge will continue to dangle the women. Brooke proclaimed her love for Ridge, but Rick was certain his mother is facing heartache. Rick begged her to reconsider, pointing out all the flaws in her relationship with Ridge. A tear ran down Brooke's face as her son entreated: "End it now. For me. But most importantly, for you."
When Eric went to the office to look for something, Donna was at the mansion, stripping down to sexy lingerie. She climbed into bed, expecting to see her Honey Bear, but it was Stephanie! While Eric was at Forrester explaining the situation to Ridge, the son grumbled and growled about how he had hoped to be rid of Donna. Back at the mansion, Stephanie mocked Donna's sexy attire, asking if she always wears such getups underneath her clothes. Both women were determined to reclaim Eric.
Thursday
At Forrester Creations, Eric confronted Ridge about engineering a takeover while he was in a coma. Ridge countered that his father shouldn't have given Donna power of attorney in the first place, but Eric responded that he did it to keep Ridge in check. As the argument escalated, Eric charged that Ridge seems to think Forrester is all about him, forgetting his brother and sisters. Ridge sniped that Rick had really gotten to Eric. The patriarch said that he'd be the one to decide who eventually runs the company when he steps down. Ridge insisted that he's the rightful heir and stormed out.
Taylor and Stephanie shared a cozy chat. Stephanie assured Taylor that she has a shot with Ridge.
After pressuring Brooke some more about dumping Ridge, Rick took some alone time to get out of bed. He noted to himself that he hated pretending to be paralyzed, but at least it got everyone's "attention." There was a knock at the door, so Rick hustled back to bed before admitting Eric. When his dad brought paperwork from the office, Rick huffed that he doesn't want anything to do with Forrester while Ridge is at the company. Eric refused to let Rick resign. Eric noted how much Rick loves the company and shares his own vision. Rick said that he'd like to work closer with Eric and urged him not to retire soon, then he started talking smack about how Ridge better not be trying to force his dad out of the company.
Ridge went over to Brooke's place and found her looking glum. Ridge wanted to get smoochy and talk about their relationship, but Brooke seemed torn. He turned up the passion, assuring Brooke that he needs her. Cue the sexy sax music and lingering shots of intertwined limbs. A lot of kissing, flailing and such happened.
Back in Rick's room, he argued that Ridge doesn't respect Eric or his talent and declared that if Ridge took over, he'd kill the company — and Eric. Rick's charges against Ridge got more heated, he even remarked that Ridge isn't his "real" son. Eric protested that Ridge would never hurt him. Rick dropped a bomb, telling his dad that Ridge pulled the respirator while Eric was in the coma. "I'm telling you the truth, Ridge tried to kill you," Rick said.
Friday
Eric reeled from Rick's news that Ridge unplugged his life-support when he
was in a coma. Rick insisted to his dad that Ridge tried to kill him.
Stephanie continued to give Taylor a pep talk, urging her to fight for
Ridge. The women both rejoiced in the fact that they are friends again and
vowed to take on the Logan sisters.
After sex, Brooke tuned out Ridge's pillow talk to focus on Rick. She
worried that he hadn't made progress with his paralysis. Ridge blamed it on
Rick's lack of focus. He argued that Rick is too busy putting his attention
into hating Ridge. Brooke blamed herself for not paying him enough
attention. Ridge advised her not to "pander" to the dramatic shenanigans.
Ridge started musing about how great life will be when he marries Brooke and
takes over Forrester and has everything he ever wanted.
Back in Rick's room, he continued to chip away at Eric and Ridge's
relationship, numbering all of Ridge's flaws, saying, "It kills me, Dad, to
see the way he treats you." Then he fumed, "Ridge is always going to be your
favorite." Eric tried to assure his son that he doesn't pick favorites. Rick
would not give up and got heavy into his childhood issues and how he was
treated like he was inferior and etc, etc. "I've been keeping this inside
for so long," groaned Rick. Eric took his son's face in his hands and told
him how much he loves him and promised that "never again" would he feel
second to Ridge. Too bad Ridge, who had come to make peace with Rick,
overheard. A dramatic stare-down ensued, followed by yelling, screaming and
sibling rivalry antics. By the time Brooke rushed in to hear what they were
carrying on about, Eric announced that Rick is the new President of
Forrester Creations. Ridge said he'd resign. That was fine with Eric. Well
played, Rick, well played. A caught-in-the-middle Brooke kissed her son and
congratulated him. As soon as they were all gone, Rick got out of bed and
stood up. Brooke returned and was all, "OMG!" A sheepish Rick said he could
explain.
