Monday
Brooke told Ridge that her father is back in town because Donna summoned him. They worried what would happen if Stephen and Stephanie confronted each other. Brooke remained distracted thinking about her dad while she and Ridge were having lunch. The two kissed and began to speak about their upcoming wedding. Ridge mentioned they need to set a date. Brooke promised this time nothing would stand in their way, and the two kissed again.
As Stephen taunted Stephanie on her hotel balcony, Stephanie called his bluff and challenged him to push her over the railing. Stephanie apologized to Stephen for her part in Brooke's rape, but her excuses and regrets fell on deaf ears. Stephen continued to rage against Stephanie. She countered by reminding Stephen of all the pain and damage Brooke has caused her and all the men in her family. Stephen claimed all those men turned to Brooke for the love that they didn't get from Stephanie. Stephanie returned the insults by accusing Stephen of being a lousy absentee father. Each of them continued to blame the other for the problems between their families. Stephanie jabbed that his girls have always gone after older father figures because he abandoned them, "just like Donna and Eric." She noticed that Stephen was visibly stunned by her words, and confirmed to him that Donna has shacked up with her husband. Stephen made a parting threat to Stephanie before storming out, which was apparently overheard by a passing bellboy. The bellboy knocked on Stephanie's door later and asked if she was okay and if she wanted him to contact hotel security. Stephanie said no, everything was fine, but thanked him for his concern.
Katie brought copies of the latest fashion magazines to Eric's office to show Eric and Donna Jackie's new PR campaign for Spectra. Katie had some ideas on how to mount a counter PR effort. Donna explained to Eric that Katie had PR experience. Eric offered to hire Katie to join the Forrester staff. Katie hesitated. Eric had to leave, so he asked Katie to think about it until he returned. Donna asked why she'd hesitate at the chance for all three Logan sisters to work together. Katie accused Donna of having ulterior motives, as always. Donna conceded that they all deserve justice against Stephanie, in part by taking Forrester Creations away from her permanently. However, Donna insisted that her feelings for Eric are sincere and their relationship is legitimate. Eric returned and asked Katie for her final answer. Katie happily accepted, and the three rejoiced. Katie left to work on the PR counter assault, leaving Donna and Eric alone. The two started smooching passionately. Stephen barreled into the Forrester Creations lobby. The guard tried to stop him to clear him as a visitor. He told the guard he was Brooke and Donna's father and continued on upstairs in the elevator. Once upstairs he pounded on Eric's office door. Eric said he's busy (as he was busy making love to Donna on his couch). Stephen pounded again, and this time Donna said they were busy. Upon hearing Donna's voice, Stephen flipped out and broke down the door. Walking in on Eric on top of Donna on the couch, Stephen commanded, "Let go of my daughter — don't you touch her!"
Tuesday
Over coffee, Nick and Brooke discussed Taylor. Brooke asked if Taylor was having trouble accepting Jack as her son. Nick admitted that Taylor has an aloof, conflicted expression on her face when she's with the baby, and conceded his worry that Taylor would never truly be able to get past the fact that Brooke is his biological mother.
Storm looked over Katie's contract with Forrester and said it was OK for her to sign. Katie asked Storm to be happy for her and her new job. She needed her birth certificate to complete her employment papers with Forrester and asked Storm for the combination to Brooke's safe. Katie freaked when she saw a gun in the safe. Storm explained how Stephanie asked Brooke to kill herself with it. Storm took the gun and said he would dispose of it. He then flipped out when Katie told him that Donna brought Stephen to town. Storm insisted he is the one to take care of his sisters. Katie apologized for upsetting him and thanked Storm for always being there for them. Storm asked Katie to tell Stephen to leave town.
Meanwhile, Eric excused himself while Stephen confronted Donna. Donna apologized to Stephen for having to find out about her relationship with Eric this way. A tearful Donna insisted she loves Eric. "What I feel for him is real," she cried, saying she finally found someone who loves her back after going out with losers for years. "This smart, beautiful, talented man has brought me into his life and changed my world like I only dreamed about." Stephen wished it were any other man BUT Eric. "Why can't you be happy for me, Daddy?" Donna asked Stephen, who clasped his daughter's hand. The two embraced as Eric returned. Eric acknowledged he'd feel the same way if the situation were reversed, but insisted that his feelings for Donna are genuine. He told Stephen that he and Stephanie are separated. "Stephen, I'm in love with your daughter," Eric declared. "I promise you, I will do everything in my power to make her as happy as she makes me." Eric and Donna looked to Stephen for his blessing. Stephen sheepishly nodded in agreement and walked out, as Eric hugged and comforted Donna. Eric noted Donna was trembling. Donna explained it was because of the things he said to her father. Eric stressed that those words weren't said for effect; he really meant them. Eric then showed Donna the showstopper outfit he designed for the fashion show. Eric told Donna she was his inspiration for it, and he wanted her to model it at the show. "I want everyone to see what a man who finally found happiness actually looks like," Eric told Donna, as the two kissed passionately.
As Stephen was leaving Forrester he ran into Storm, who was not thrilled at all. As Storm tried to make a fast exit, Stephen pulled him back and asked him if there was some way they could work things out. Storm accused Stephen of abandoning the family. Stephen said he left because of Storm's temper. Stephen reminded him that Storm kept telling Stephen he was doing more harm than good by sticking around with the family. Storm said he'd take care of his sisters without any help from Stephen. Stephen rhetorically asked if Storm was doing such a good job, then where was he when Donna started sleeping with Eric? Where was he when Brooke was raped? Storm was shocked to hear about Brooke's rape. "She would have said something to me," a disbelieving Storm said. Stephen explained further how Stephanie was involved. He declared that he's not going to let Storm chase him away this time, and vowed to do whatever he could to protect his girls. Storm handed Stephen the pistol and explained to Stephen how Stephanie asked Brooke to kill herself. Stephen was aghast and said how he'd love to use the gun against Stephanie. Katie came in, freaked out and told Stephen to stop waving the gun around and put it inside the desk drawer.
Wednesday
In Eric's office, Eric and Donna smooched and Eric reaffirmed his love for her. Then he left to go break the news to Stephanie, but not before running into Ridge and giving him the vibe that he was going to break things off with Stephanie for good. Katie and Brooke entered, and a beaming Donna shared the news that Eric loves her and wants her in the fashion show. Katie was asked that she thinks of things from a PR perspective, and she suggested that outing Donna's relationship with Eric during the fashion show could backfire. Donna explained how genuine her relationship is with Eric, and she, Brooke and Katie embraced Donna's happiness. A gloomy Storm entered and told Brooke he learned what happened to her with the rape. Storm and Brooke hugged. He suggested they should pursue legal action against Stephanie. Donna told Storm Stephanie is already about to pay, as Eric is leaving his wife for Donna as they speak. Storm said he was upset at being the last person to know everything that's been going on with his sisters. He persisted in asking Brooke to consider pressing charges.
Ridge checked in with Thorne and Felicia on last-minute preparations for the fashion show. Felicia noticed that her ex, Jake, was part of the crew working for the show, but told Thorne that her plate is too full with work and other responsibilities to be interested in ex-boyfriends. Ridge cautioned Thorne and Felicia not to get their hopes up about their parents, because he got the vibe from Eric that he's planning to go with Donna. Felicia and Thorne flipped but Ridge defended Eric, maintaining that it's his choice and reminding his siblings that Eric never got in the way of their choices. Additionally, Ridge stressed that Stephanie's actions completely crossed the line. Felicia and Thorne pressed Stephanie's case, but Ridge remained unsympathetic toward his mother.
Eric arrived at Stephanie's hotel room. She suggested to Eric that he keep the focus on the show and not distract the press with public decision between her and Donna. Eric interrupted her and broke the news to Stephanie that they are finished. She tried to explain and apologize again, but Eric told her it's too late: He's in love with Donna. Stephanie was skeptical of Eric's feelings and warned that he will turn the fashion show into a sideshow. She lost her temper and warned she wouldn't take Eric back this time. Eric told her he doesn't want to go back. Stephanie apologized and adopted a more contrite tone, but Eric insisted it was too late. "I tried more than anybody ever has, and I can't anymore," Eric declared, adding, "I will always love you." A desperate Stephanie pulled Eric into a passionate kiss, but Eric pulled away, pushed her arms down and walked out of her hotel room. Stephanie sank onto her bed and her eyes filled with tears as she agonized over her loss.
Thursday
At Forrester, Donna, Brooke and Storm enjoyed a warm moment of family solidarity. Eric returned and told them he broke the news to Stephanie that he's in love with Donna, so his marriage is over for good. Donna rejoiced, hugging and kissing Eric. Eric said they'd have to postpone their celebration because they still have some work to do on the fashion show. Stephen entered and Eric told him about his plans to divorce Stephanie and commit to Donna. An optimistic Eric suggested that they could use this as an opportunity to put the bad blood between their two families behind them once and for all and move forward together. Eric offered to hire Storm as Forrester's legal counsel. Stephen sarcastically asked Eric if he has a job for him too. Eric conceded that it must be difficult for Stephen to accept any kind of olive branch from him. Stephen accused Eric of trying to take his family away from him "once again" while Stephen is trying to reunite with them. Eric reassured Stephen that he will respect their children, and offered Stephen to come on board at Forrester. Stephen scoffed at the idea, but Brooke urged him to reconsider and think about how working together would bring their own family together, as it did for the Forresters. Eric invited Donna to take them all to the showroom to preview the new designs.
In the showroom, Stephanie told Ridge that Eric wants out of their marriage for good. She lamented that she's always been able to repair whatever mistakes she's made, until now. Stephanie asked Ridge if it was too late to repair her relationship with him. "Sometimes sorry just isn't enough," Ridge shrugged. He was annoyed when Stephanie declared her intentions to attend the fashion show and prove to Eric that she's not going to be shamed into exile. Ridge warned her not to show up. Stephanie wouldn't back down and assured Ridge she has no plans to make a scene. "Why would you torture yourself?" Ridge asked. "I just have to be there," Stephanie sighed, as the two hugged before Ridge went back to work. As Stephanie took a seat in the showroom to collect herself, the Logans filed in and were shocked to see her. "What the hell are you doing here?" quizzed Donna. "More importantly, what are YOU doing here?" Stephanie shot back. Donna and Stephanie traded barbs. "You're in love with his (Eric's) money and his face," Stephanie accused Donna. Donna rubbed it in Stephanie's face how Eric wants to include everyone in his celebration, including all of the Logans, but not Stephanie. "Over my dead body," Steph challenged. Stephen told Stephanie to leave his family alone, but she remained undaunted. "I'm gonna do whatever the hell I want to do," she boasted. Stephen countered by warning he will do whatever it takes to stop her if she tries to interfere.
Ridge met with Eric, who shared his big announcement. "I've chosen DONNA, Ridge. I love her." Ridge told Eric that Stephanie doesn't believe him. Eric asked Ridge if he has his support. Ridge said yes. Eric tried to get Ridge enthusiastic at the prospect of the Forresters and Logans working together in harmony, at long last.
Friday
Ridge and Eric made last-minute adjustments on the models backstage, but Katie was distracted by the music her old pal Jake was listening to. She was even more impressed to find the sneaky guy was watching an illegal video recording he'd made, and she agreed to meet up to watch it after the show. Eric was less thrilled, since there were journalists with backstage passes, so Jake agreeably put the camera aside. Then Eric moved on to arguing with Ridge about whether or not Donna should take the stage with him. Eric wouldn't be swayed, even as Stephanie corralled the waiting press. He joined her for photos before pulling her aside to argue. She insisted parading Donna in front of the press would downplay what this day was really about: "The family. It's supposed to be about you and this triumphant return of yours to the company." He was firm, telling her Donna was permanent.
Meanwhile, Donna was fuming that Stephanie better not show, but Katie told her not to worry. Then Brooke jumped, having come across the gun Stephanie had given her (to kill herself with), which just proved why Donna was worried. Storm said to "take the high road," but then papa Stephen came in and insisted his kids never forget what Stephanie "did to this family." Brooke claimed she had Ridge, so she wasn't going to instigate trouble. Stephen's response was so heated Katie said, "You're starting to freak me out." Donna insisted they couldn't attack Stephanie, "not with a building full of reporters," but Stephen warned if Stephanie showed, she'd have to "deal with me." After that chat, Storm found Stephanie and Eric, warning the matriarch to avoid his father. She shrugged it off, but promised not to start anything with Stephen. Felicia and Thorne were much more supportive of their mom, calling Donna a "hoochie mama."
Backstage, Brooke and Ridge gushed over their fave model, Phoebe, before gushing over each other. Poor Ashley was privy to the makeout session that followed, but kept her cool. That was harder when Jared the reporter asked Ashley where her engagement ring was! She coolly explained she and Ridge called off the wedding. Then Rick saved her and asked if they should take off together. She agreed. When Stephanie came backstage, Brooke ordered her to go collect her gun and not to "dare spoil this" for Donna. Instead, Stephanie spoiled it for Clarke and Jackie, ousting them from the event in front of the press. Jackie answered in kind and didn't leave until after a vicious tête-à-tête in front of the cameras. Steph returned backstage right after Eric's pre-show pep talk and ran into Donna. "Do you really want to be back here crying into your program?" Donna asked and enjoyed throwing Eric in her face. Once Ridge kicked off the show, the only audience member not smiling or applauding over the designs was Stephen. All gussied up to be the "show stopper," Donna gushed nervously to Brooke until Eric interrupted to say he was proud and she looked "stunning." Even better, when she mentioned "this moment," he interrupted that it "may be forever" — though he wanted to stay in the moment and enjoy it, for now. Stephanie, Thorne and Felicia were watching in disgust and when Eric left Donna, Stephanie told her kids, "We can't let her go on the runway, period."
