Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of May 25, 2009

Monday

At Jackie M, Nick left Katie a message and she came in, looking pretty rough
from her night out. "No regrets," she murmured, saying she wanted Nick to
have a life with Bridget. "You should fight for her," she urged, as Bridget
stood in the doorway and heard the whole thing. Awkward! Katie reiterated to
both of them that she and Nick are over. "It's exhausting," she said of
trying to be the woman Nick loves when that woman is Bridget. Being just as
honest, Bridget admitted she and Nick had hashed things out last night and
were back together. Niece and aunt finally traded forgiveness and hugged.
Later, Nick and Bridget discussed things alone. Bridget was glad Nick told
Katie (offscreen!) that she can still be in Jack's life. And then they were
both glad to test drive Nick's new office couch!

At Spencer publishing, Stephanie asked Bill if he was using her. He noted
she'd gotten a lot out of their deal. It was a win-win situation! He pointed
out Steph had called Forrester a "whorehouse," so why did she care? He told
her his motto is, "I'm not happy until you're not happy," and that Eric
isn't unhappy enough for him. Yet. Later, Katie dropped by. Bill fixed her
his favorite hangover cure and teased her about throwing up on him. (She
didn't! He was kidding!) Despite everything with Nick, Bill brought a smile
to Katie's face. She warned him that she was determined to combat the Logan
Chronicles, before dumping his hangover cure in the trash and leaving
him with a smile.

Donna finished up a call with Katie, unable to shake the memory of Bill's
kiss. Right on cue, Bill called! Pam overheard Donna thanking Bill for his
heroics with Katie and alluding to an "expression of gratitude." Donna then
went into Eric's office, where he was raging about Bill's takeover to his
lawyer, Gloria. Gloria noted Bill wasn't taking over but rather pushing the
company into bankruptcy so he could buy it cheap. This just ticked Eric off
even more and he vented to Donna, who gingerly explained how Bill had helped
Katie. Pam overheard her telling Eric there's a "shred of decency" in Bill
somewhere. Eric warned her not to be fooled. Then, Stephanie came by, to
confirm Bill's plan and crow. She could stop Bill if they wanted her to. As
long as they met her four conditions: Ridge as CEO, Thorne as president, no
Rick, and 100% control of the company had to go to their kids. "Are
you crazy?" boggled Eric, turning her down flat and storming out. Donna
wondered how Steph could do this to Eric. Stephanie said the Logan girls
were nothing but trouble. "You're not hurting us, you're hurting your own
family!" Donna pointed out. Stephanie warned her that a "day of reckoning
will come," adding, "Don’t underestimate me."

Tuesday

Donna and Stephanie continued bickering at Forrester, with Donna insisting
the Logans would survive no matter what Steph did. "You're too dumb to know
when trouble's staring you right in the face," said Stephanie on her way
out. Ridge came in to tell Donna and Eric that getting rid of his mom had
been their biggest mistake. They disabused him of the notion by revealing
Stephanie's blackmail. Eric fielded more bad business calls and the three of
them were grim about the company's future. Stephanie dropped by Bill's
office and told him she was still on board with his plan to acquire
Forrester — as long as he sold it to her. She wanted to keep her
children's birthright safe and push the Logans out. As Stephanie looked on,
Bill called Eric and offered $80 million for the company but Eric turned him
down. "I think we're going to have to wear him down," smiled Stephanie. As
Donna reassured Eric, Stephanie texted Ridge to meet her at Il Giardino.
There, she asked for Ridge's help taking the company back, using Rick and
Brooke and that whole ugly situation as her primary tool of manipulation.

At Jackie M, Jackie enjoyed the shiny new mp3 player Owen taught her to use
and and Nick made his disapproval of the liaison known. When Jackie praised
how Owen looked without a shirt, Nick cringed, reminding her she's his
mother. Jackie was happy to be living for the moment, noting she was
happy for the first time in forever because of Owen. Nearby, Bridget
wondered about Owen and Jackie's odd relationship and he insisted the bond
was legit. Later, Jackie waved her Nick/Bridget pom-poms, hugging Bridget
and hoping wedding bells were in store. Bridget told her they were being
careful this time and then asked about Jackie and Owen. Jackie hoped Nick
would come around. As Nick called Owen into his office, that looked
impossible. He asked Owen what it would cost to get him out of Jackie's
life! Jackie told Bridget Owen would just have to defend their relationship
to Nick and, sure enough, that's exactly what he did!

Wednesday

Stephanie explained to a skeptical Ridge why she wanted him on board with
her...with a side trip into Brooke bashing. Ridge wasn't happy to hear that
Stephanie was partnered up with Bill to drive down the company's value and
wondered what has happened to her. She listed all of Eric's transgressions
against her. In the middle of all this, Taylor arrived (because Stephanie
called her, in a matchmaking fit!) and Stephanie wrapped up her pitch to
Ridge. She dropped by Forrester, where she and Rick clashed. That's when
Brooke called to tell Rick she was doing a webcast on Eye on Fashion's site.
Steph and Rick watched it together. Steph marveled at how Brooke dubbed
Forrester a "Logan company." Taylor, meanwhile, wondered how much longer
Ridge would keep his invalid marriage from Brooke and talked about how
complicated that relationship was. "I can see you're going through Hell,"
she insisted. "Stop pretending." She noted "things would be a lot better if
you were back to me." Ridge stared at her, processing that observation.

At Spencer publishing, Jarrett felt bad about unleashing on the Forresters,
his old pals, but when Bill suggested a job downsizing, he quickly fell in
line. Brooke and Rick boggled at Stephanie's latest video blog, which
trashed Brooke. Rick didn't agree with Ridge's "just ignore her" policy and
wanted to fight fire with fire. Brooke urged him to chill out. She'd go see
Bill herself! Naturally, the one-liners and accusations flew fast and
furious. Bill wondered what kind of underwear Brooke is wearing...saying it
would prove if Stephanie was right about her. Brooke wasn't havin' it and
the snark continued. Brooke noted that Steph "spewing" things would no doubt
backfire on Bill. Feeling "magnanimous," Bill offered Brooke the spot for
his upcoming webcast with Jarrett so she could share her side. Brooke talked
about how Steph's favorite, Taylor, being married to Ridge wouldn't impact
Forrester and then listed her and her family's contributions to the company.
"Under our leadership, Forrester Creations will rise to greater heights than
ever before," she insisted.

Thursday

Ridge and Taylor's tete-a-tete at Il Giardino continued, as he told her he
can't talk about the Brooke/Taylor issue. She told him she didn't like
seeing him in this state and reiterated his problems would vanish if he were
with her. "You two have grown into two different kinds of people," she
insisted of Brooke. Ridge admitted his times with Taylor were great and
Taylor kept working on him. Stephanie then called Ridge about Brooke's
explosive webcast and told him to get to Forrester ASAP. At Forrester,
Stephanie and Rick snarked about Brooke's video blog and Thomas came by to
trade barbs with Rick. "Logans don't run this business, your family's a
joke," snarled Thomas. As Rick launched at him, Ridge pulled them apart.
Brooke walked in on the ensuing group argument, and Stephanie urged Ridge to
watch the webcast and "judge for himself." So that's exactly what he did.
Ridge processed the material while Taylor and Thomas sparred with Brooke
over his head. "That's enough!" Ridge growled, asking to talk with Brooke
alone. Everyone cleared out but Taylor, who threw fuel on the fire, noting
Brooke would put her family ahead of Ridge and everything else. After she
left, Ridge and Brooke went a few rounds about Rick and Taylor's impact on
their relationship. Ridge said Brooke's webcast had made their situation
worse and Brooke said she didn't want Stephanie's shenanigans to affect
their marriage. Ridge got visibly uncomfortable when she said the "m-word,"
and Brooke noticed. Would he confess? He clutched her to him, looking torn.

At Spencer publishing, Brooke thanked Bill for the opportunity to air her
grievances and wondered if he was prepared to lose. "Let's just wait and
see," he smirked. Later, he studied the webcast hits and the comments,
gleeful. Later, Stephanie was jubilant about Brooke putting her foot in her
mouth and told Taylor they were "one step" closer to regaining the company
— and Ridge! "The gap grows wider!" she crowed of Ridge and Brooke.

At Nick's, Bridget played with Jack and admitted to Nick that Jackie had
snuck her visits with the boy while they were apart. Aw! After putting Jack
down for a nap, the duo cuddled and necked a little, awkwardly discussed
Katie, and necked some more! Later, they hashed out the "sacrifices" Nick
had to make in their relationship. First? His cigars! (He'd live longer!)
Nick, in turn, requested Bridget don her labcoat and Madame X wig for a
little frisky business but she said no...earning a tickle attack!

Friday

Thorne and Felicia showed up so Steph could pitch her plot to them
and Ridge, while Bill read Stephanie's latest article and latched on
to something troubling. The kids were all worried about how Stephanie's plan
would impact their dad. "We hate seeing him like this," sighed Felicia.
"Truly it could kill him." Stephanie insisted it was just about the company.
Ridge asked her to stop and Thorne and Felicia echoed the sentiment. Steph
insisted she just wanted them in charge of the company and then backed off,
leaving. She went to Bill's to tell him she wanted to discontinue the blogs
and end the war. Bill wondered who had gotten to her, before questioning her
about a line in her blog about Eric's soft heart leading to legal troubles.
"Is Eric cooking the books?" he mused, needling her about the dirt on Eric.
He demanded to know what she had that could bring the man to his knees. Bill
threw theories around, speculating about low income, immigrant Forrester
employees. Stephanie tried to evade but Bill said she'd unwittingly given
him the "brass key" to put Eric behind bars. "You want Forrester Creations
for yourself," Stephanie slowly realized. "That's why you're in L.A." Bill
confirmed that, assuring, "Forrester Creations will be mine!"

At Nick's, Bridget straddled Nick on the couch and suggested he switch from
beer to red wine. She gave him incentive to become a "red wine connaisseur,"
before letting him keep the beer after all. They got serious, marveling at
their renewed connection and then smooching. Then, the clothes came off! Cue
the roaring fire, the wailing saxophone, etc.

Eric, Pam, Donna, and Katie bemoaned the fact that Brooke's webcast had hurt
rather than helped them. Steph was winning! Eric finished up with an
accented Forrester employee named Bobby who had some family issues.
Stephanie greeted Bobby on the way out and then left herself. Donna asked
Eric and Katie why Steph was allowed to wander the halls. They then
discussed needing a strategy to take down Bill. Donna denied having any
particular insight on the man. As they kept brainstorming, Ridge, Thorne and
Felicia came in tell Eric that Stephanie had agreed to cease her campaign.
