Out at the pool, Brooke appeared in a bikini to serve appetizers to her father. He asked her to tell him everything she knew about Pam. Brooke was all too eager to share her dislike and distrust of Pam. Stephen recalled that she had had a brain surgery to quell her violence. Brooke confirmed this, but wondered if Pam's craziness had more to do with playing second-fiddle to Stephanie all her life than a brain injury. Brooke conjectured that Pam seemed to be a decent person when Stephanie wasn't goading her into outrageous revenge tactics. Brooke went on to theorize that if Pam just had someone in her life that cared and paid attention to her, things might be different. Stephen pressed Brooke into answering whether she thought Pam was dangerous. Brooke answered that Pam was emotionally unstable. "I really think Stephanie could have gotten Pam to kill for her, if she had put her mind to it!" Hmmm, thought Stephen.

Stephanie arrived at Pam's apartment and was surprised to find the door chained. Pam let her in, and the two discussed Pam's lack of a social life. Stephanie wondered if Stephen Logan was the reason behind the chain on the door. Pam began to break down, saying that she was angry that Stephanie had left when they were children, and that she felt guilty for wishing their mother would die.

At the beach house, Justin comforted Donna, who was still reeling from signing settlement papers. Donna used Justin as a sounding board, as she expressed her regret about the direction her life had taken. Justin seized the opportunity to tell her that he would still love to be with her, but that he knew it was too soon.

In his office at Forrester, Eric was reviewing designs when Steffy burst in. She handed her granddad an envelope that had been delivered from Donna. Eric tore it open, wondering what Donna's demands would be. After Eric read Donna's request for half his Forrester shares, Steffy became enraged. Eric called Donna and begged her to meet with him in person. Donna refused, saying that she had to go ahead with her divorce settlement plan. "It's not for me, Eric," she said sadly. "It's for the Logans." After hanging up, Eric informed Steffy that Donna would NOT be getting her hands on any shares of Forrester. Switching gears, he invited Steffy and the rest of the Forresters over for a formal dinner that evening.

Pam arrived at work and found Thorne and Steffy hovering outside Eric's office door. She overheard them buzzing about Eric's intentions where Stephanie was concerned.

Stephanie burst into Eric's office, looking for her secretary. Instead she found Eric, who invited her to a formal dinner that evening. "It's an invitation from half a lifetime ago," he said cryptically. He pulled out a garment and offered it to Stephanie. "This is for you to wear this evening," he grinned. Stephanie retorted that she hadn't been told what to wear in years. "You seem to be slightly more manageable these days," Eric laughed. Stephanie agreed to come to the intimate dinner, and asked what she could bring. "An open mind," Eric replied. Stephanie promised to dig hers out of storage. Stephanie wondered what Eric's secret could be, because she had always been able to read him like a book. "Read this!" Eric proclaimed, and pulled her into a long kiss. Outside the door, Thorne, Pam and Steffy peeked through a crack and rejoiced upon observing the smooch. Pulling away, Eric told Stephanie that he was really looking forward to the dinner. "This evening will be one that neither one of us will ever forget!" he announced with a twinkle in his eye.
