Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of May 24, 2010

Monday

Brooke ran to her father after he was hit by a car driven by the Forrester photographer. Stephen insisted he was fine. Brooke took him to the beach house, where Katie and Bill tended to his hurt shoulder. Stephen confided to Brooke, Katie and Bill that Beth's last wish was make sure Stephanie never hurts her girls again. It's up to him now to protect his girls from Stephanie. "That is my mission!" he declared.

Pam fretted about her date with Jarrett. Stephanie gave her sister a pep talk. Jarrett arrived with a bouquet of flowers and escorted Pam for coffee at Insomnia. They talked about how Pam misses her mom, how his wife just left him, and that he has always wanted to be a designer. Pam confessed she misses her dog Tiny, too, but Jarret is not much of a pet person. Conversation was strained. His phone rang — it was someone offering him a scoop! Pam urged him to go. He kissed her hand and left.

Oliver and Hope made out. Hope gushed about her love for him, and how she wasn't ready to "come out of the clouds" yet. Oliver decided to set up his camera and do a photo shoot of them in front of the fireplace falling in love. He wants one for his screen saver. They reviewed the pics and kissed again.

Stephen got up to leave, saying he needs privacy. Brooke and Katie argued. He pulled Beth's ring out of his pocket and said he'll keep his promise to Beth by being strong for his girls. Stephen's cab arrived and he left. "He's taking this so hard," rued Katie. "He feels like he failed you," Bill weighed in. "Let him have his pride."

Pam called Stephanie to report the date was a bust. Steph said she's coming right over. Stephen walked in and spied Pam. He flashed back to Pam locking Donna in the exterminator truck and approached her. "I have a message for your sister — she will not harm my family again," spit Pa Logan. Stephen said Stephanie is mean and cruel and Pam is her pawn. Stephen's children have lost their mother, thanks to Stephanie. Pam said Stephanie was not to blame. Stephen asserted that Stephanie is through pushing him and his family around. Stephanie entered and jumped right in: The Logans knew how bad Beth's mental state was and that she shouldn't be left alone — so it was their fault she died. Stephen repeated Beth's dying wish to Stephanie, and said he won't be responsible if Stephanie ever hurts someone in his family again.

Tuesday

Owen stared at his computer screen as Jackie stared at him. "What's going on?" Jackie asked. Owen confessed that he had sex with Bridget. "Why are you telling me now?" queried Jackie, realizing, "You know that the baby Bridget is carrying is yours!" Jackie admitted that she's known the secret for a few weeks and ordered Bridget not to tell anyone until they know the baby will be born. Owen insisted the sex didn't mean anything and his heart will always be with Jackie. But now that a child has been created, it wasn't a mistake. It's fate. We have to keep this secret from Nick, stressed Jackie. Owen vowed not to let this baby rip them apart. "We'll do it together," he said. They embraced.

Justin and Bill urged Donna to fight for half of Eric's share of Forrester. Eric owes her! Down the road, if Donna wants to sell her shares, Bill will be a willing buyer — but that's not what this is about, asserted Katie. Donna needs to restore honor and respect to the Logan name, said Bill. "It's time to take a stand," decreed Justin. Because of Stephanie, Beth is dead, repeated Bill. "It's time to make the Forresters pay," added Bill. Donna agreed and signed the papers.

At Insomnia, Stephen drank coffee and flashed back to Pam locking Donna in the exterminator truck. Pam entered and asked if he was still angry. Stephen said yes — he needs to fight for his girls. Pam asked him not to blame Stephanie for Beth's death. "It's almost biblical, the hatred between the Logans and the Forresters," remarked Pam. Pam said Stephen's girls stole Eric from Stephanie. Stephen retorted that Stephanie hasn't treated Pam well, leaving her alone in Chicago to care for their mother all those years. Stephen fished around — Did Pam ever have a boyfriend or travel or make friends? No. Stephen told Pam she has been robbed of her life, thanks to her "warm and loving sister." Pam confessed she has had some "problems" and "gets confused" sometimes but it's okay — she takes medication now. Stephen paid for her coffee and they shook hands. "Maybe you are the way to protect my girls," Stephen mused after she left. "I can get rid of you and Stephanie both."

Wednesday

Out at the pool, Brooke appeared in a bikini to serve appetizers to her father. He asked her to tell him everything she knew about Pam. Brooke was all too eager to share her dislike and distrust of Pam. Stephen recalled that she had had a brain surgery to quell her violence. Brooke confirmed this, but wondered if Pam's craziness had more to do with playing second-fiddle to Stephanie all her life than a brain injury. Brooke conjectured that Pam seemed to be a decent person when Stephanie wasn't goading her into outrageous revenge tactics. Brooke went on to theorize that if Pam just had someone in her life that cared and paid attention to her, things might be different. Stephen pressed Brooke into answering whether she thought Pam was dangerous. Brooke answered that Pam was emotionally unstable. "I really think Stephanie could have gotten Pam to kill for her, if she had put her mind to it!" Hmmm, thought Stephen.

Stephanie arrived at Pam's apartment and was surprised to find the door chained. Pam let her in, and the two discussed Pam's lack of a social life. Stephanie wondered if Stephen Logan was the reason behind the chain on the door. Pam began to break down, saying that she was angry that Stephanie had left when they were children, and that she felt guilty for wishing their mother would die.

At the beach house, Justin comforted Donna, who was still reeling from signing settlement papers. Donna used Justin as a sounding board, as she expressed her regret about the direction her life had taken. Justin seized the opportunity to tell her that he would still love to be with her, but that he knew it was too soon.

In his office at Forrester, Eric was reviewing designs when Steffy burst in. She handed her granddad an envelope that had been delivered from Donna. Eric tore it open, wondering what Donna's demands would be. After Eric read Donna's request for half his Forrester shares, Steffy became enraged. Eric called Donna and begged her to meet with him in person. Donna refused, saying that she had to go ahead with her divorce settlement plan. "It's not for me, Eric," she said sadly. "It's for the Logans." After hanging up, Eric informed Steffy that Donna would NOT be getting her hands on any shares of Forrester. Switching gears, he invited Steffy and the rest of the Forresters over for a formal dinner that evening.

Pam arrived at work and found Thorne and Steffy hovering outside Eric's office door. She overheard them buzzing about Eric's intentions where Stephanie was concerned.

Stephanie burst into Eric's office, looking for her secretary. Instead she found Eric, who invited her to a formal dinner that evening. "It's an invitation from half a lifetime ago," he said cryptically. He pulled out a garment and offered it to Stephanie. "This is for you to wear this evening," he grinned. Stephanie retorted that she hadn't been told what to wear in years. "You seem to be slightly more manageable these days," Eric laughed. Stephanie agreed to come to the intimate dinner, and asked what she could bring. "An open mind," Eric replied. Stephanie promised to dig hers out of storage. Stephanie wondered what Eric's secret could be, because she had always been able to read him like a book. "Read this!" Eric proclaimed, and pulled her into a long kiss. Outside the door, Thorne, Pam and Steffy peeked through a crack and rejoiced upon observing the smooch. Pulling away, Eric told Stephanie that he was really looking forward to the dinner. "This evening will be one that neither one of us will ever forget!" he announced with a twinkle in his eye.

Thursday

"Perfect," exclaimed a dapper Eric regarding the house decorations. "Just another nice evening at home with the Forrester family," he remarked to a tuxedo-clad Ridge. As the remaining well coifed Forresters arrived, Eric would only say to his puzzled party that they were all there for a family celebration. Ridge commented to Steffy that he was glad to see his parents were friendly again.

At the apartment, Stephanie chatted with Pam, who remarked that she didn't think her big sister would be home that night — wink, wink. Pam then commented that she's used to being left behind. Stephanie invited Pam to come to the party but she graciously declined. Pam continued to drop digs about Stephanie being the sibling who escaped while she was left to tend totheir mother.

Brooke found a sullen Stephen thinking about Beth. He still blamed Stephanie or Beth's death and vowed to protect his daughters at any cost. Stephen was upset to hear that Brooke wasn't invited to the party, and took off. Brooke slipped in the hot tub, and Hope came home and joined her. Hope commented on her happiness, then wondered what was keeping Stephen.

Stephen showed up at Pam's. She was surprised to see him; he was surprised to see all the framed photos of Tiny. Pam then showed Stephen a photo of Ann. Stephen commented that they have loss in common. Stephen encouraged Pam to see Europe; Pam offered him a lemon bar.

Stephanie arrived at her party and was thrilled to see her family together, all dressed up. "Thank you," she smiled at Eric. Steffy presented her with roses from the absent Felicia and Kristen. Across the room, Steffy mentioned to her family members that Eric's divorce papers arrived earlier that day. Meanwhile, Stephanie flashed back to the many romantic times she and Eric shared over the years. Eric proposed a toast, in which he thanked Stephanie for everything she has done. Afterward, Eric asked Steph to come back to him, leaving her bewildered.

Friday

The Forrester family gathered around as Eric admitted his mistakes to Stephanie and asked her to come back to him. Stephanie responded that she always believed they were destined to spend the rest of their lives together — nothing would make her happier. Eric and Stephanie kissed, as Ridge, Thorne, Steffy and Thomas looked on, smiling. "Welcome back, mother!" enthused Ridge. Steffy called Aunt Felicia and Aunt Kristen with the good news. Eric proclaimed he has never been happier. "To our family!" toasted Ridge, adding his thanks to Eric and Stephanie for building "the foundation of a dynasty."

Stephen stuffed Pam's lemon bars in his pocket as Pam walked in. "They're fabulous!" he praised. Pam beamed — do you want more? No, he has to watch his waistline. Stephen fished around about why Pam wasn't at the Forrester party. Pam said she wasn't invited, but it's pretty obvious what it was about — Eric wants Stephanie back. Stephen blanched at that news because of Donna. He covered, saying he worries about Donna like all parents worry about their children. Stephen's phone rang but he ignored it, saying he didn't want to be rude. They talked about their lives, and Stephen said he misses Beth like Pam misses her mom. Stephen added that they are lucky to have found each other.

Poolside, Brooke called Stephen and worried when he didn't answer the phone. Hope confided that Oliver told her he loves her. Oliver entered with his laptop. They showed Brooke the pics from their lovey-dovey photo shoot and went for a swim. Hope cracked to Brooke that she'd better not watch them from the window as they made out.

Stephen returned Brooke's call (while Pam was out of the room) and lied that he was just out thinking. He asked if Brooke had any intel about what was going on at the Forrester house and fretted that Eric and Stephanie were reuniting. What makes him think that? queried Brooke. Stephen asked Brooke not to go to the Forrester house because it is "enemy territory." Pam came back; Stephen hastily hung up. Pam showed Stephen the famous crocheted bikini she knitted for Donna. He said it's good to have hobbies — he wishes he had one. Maybe Pam could teach him how to cook? Pam got flustered as Stephen went on to say she is personable and beautiful. Stephen leaned in to kiss Pam as a voice in his head said, "Forgive me, Beth."

Privately, Stephanie thanked Steffy for getting the company back and for making this night happen. The Forresters weren't a family without Stephanie, replied Steffy. We will prevail, the women agreed. The men came back and declared it one of the happiest days of their lives. "We'll always remember this evening," pronounced Stephanie. "We're Forresters — and no one is ever going to take us down again."

Across town, Pam fussed over Stephen as he ran through the revenge scenario in his head: He plans to get the easily manipulated Pam to kill Stephanie! Stephen kissed Pam again. "You're a little devil, aren't you?" she stammered. "That I am," agreed Stephen.
