B&B Week of May 19, 2008
Monday
Katie was being released from the hospital, but still needed round the clock care. She wanted to be transferred to a nursing facility but her doctor suggested she recuperate in familiar surroundings with "someone who makes your face light up every time he comes into the room." The doc suggested Katie move in with Nick, but Katie said she didn't want to be a burden to anyone.
As Bridget moved her belongings into Nick's house, she couldn't stop
thinking about Katie and her needs now that she was being released from the hospital. "I'm thinking that help should come from us, Nick" Bridget
suggested and Nick agreed. They rushed to the hospital in time to stop Katie from being wheeled out and invited her to come stay with them but she turned them down. Nick then jumped behind Katie's wheelchair and pushed her into the elevator with Bridget close behind. "Okay, you win," Katie smiled.
"You think I'm your mother?" Donna stammered to Marcus. He showed her a baby photo of himself as a baby and said it came with the name of Donna Logan. "Is it you?" he asked but she told him it was "ridiculous." Marcus
apologized for bothering her and left but it was obvious that his presence
affected her. Pam showed up with papers for Eric to sign and Donna accused her of sending Marcus. "I don't know what you're talking about," Pam huffed and left. Donna looked longingly at the baby photo that Marcus left behind and whispered, "No... it couldn't be."
As Stephanie unpacked at the beach house, Eric offered to go grocery
shopping for her. She turned him down but they started reminiscing about going to to the beach when their kids were young. Steph asked Eric if he was going to have more children but he said it wasn't a topic he discussed with Donna yet. "It's pretty apparent that I'm through with having kids, don't you think?" he posed but Stephanie worried that domestic bliss would be brief. "I know you're happy," she pointed out. "I just hope she doesn't disappoint you." Eric assured that his new wife wouldn't.
Tuesday
Nick and Bridget helped Katie get settled in. She felt bad for breaking in
on their peaceful evening but Nick revealed that Donna and Eric were coming over anyway. The newlyweds arrived and Donna was armed with an album of wedding photos for Katie to look over. After Nick assured Eric that he and Bridget were trying to figure out the next step in their relationship, Eric had to leave to for a conference call to Singapore. Donna opted to stay and while Nick and Bridget walked Eric out, Katie found the baby photo of Marcus that Donna hid in the album. "Who's this?" Katie asked and Donna abruptly snatched the snapshot out of her sister's hand. After some pressing from Katie, Donna broke down and confessed that she had a baby in high school. "This could be my son," she sobbed, then lamented that she sent Marcus away. Katie asked if Donna knew who the father is and Donna snapped that she did.
At Insomnia, Phoebe stared at a photo of her and Rick together. Marcus
showed up and asked if he could join her. She agreed and he noticed the
picture she was holding. Phoebe opened up about not wanting to get serious but now she's ready "He's the type of guy any girl would want to marry," Phoebe gushed. Meanwhile, Taylor came home to find a half-naked Rick waiting in her bed. He started to get frisky but she begged off until they talked to Phoebe, who was coming home the next day. "I want to make love with you but I can't," Taylor whined but Rick still maneuvered her into bed. As they were kissing passionately, Phoebe suddenly came into the room. "What are you doing?" she shrieked.
Wednesday
Donna refused to tell Katie who the father of her baby is. "It was a
difficult time," Donna cried and feared she would never see Marcus again.
She exacted a promise from Katie not to tell anyone else. Bridget came
downstairs to get Jack's bottle and Donna asked if she could help feed him.
Bridget agreed and Donna happily interacted with the tot before leaving.
I wasn't expecting you until tomorrow," a stunned Taylor said to Phoebe, who
accused her mom of seducing Rick. He corrected the misconception and she
became upset that Taylor and Rick were involved. They both tried to explain
to Phoebe how they fell in love with each other but she broke down in tears.
"Rick is barely older than Thomas," Phoebe pointed out but Rick begged
Phoebe to understand because he asked her mother to marry him. The teen
freaked out over the news and called Taylor "pathetic." Rick explained that
falling in love with Taylor was "beyond my control" but Phoebe sobbed at her
mom to tell Rick that it's over. Taylor ended the relationship and told Rick
to leave. He reluctantly did and Taylor apologized to her daughter.
Katie was looking at her scar when Nick came downstairs. "I hope you and
Bridget are going to be happy," Katie offered but Nick was concerned by her
emotional mood, realizing she was upset with her scar. Katiee insisted she
was fine but after a heart to heart talk, they held hands and shared a close
moment. From upstairs, Bridget called out for Nick and Katie urged him to
go.
Thursday
Donna agonized over never seeing Marcus again. Katie pointed out that
there's no proof that he is Donna's son and offered to do some digging.
After Donna left, Katie called the hospital where her sister gave birth, but couldn't get any details.
Ridge, Thorne and Felicia wanted to start their meeting at Forrester but
Eric insisted that they wait for Donna. Ridge pooh-poohed her usefulness
which peeved Eric and Brooke. Donna rushed in and apologized for being late. Ridge pointedly told Donna that she doesn't belong at Forrester because of the bad publicity she has caused. Thorne and Felicia jumped in on the attack and Eric ordered his kids to can their hostility toward his wife.
Eric was so angry that he abruptly ended the meeting. Once he and Donna were alone she offered to stay away; he refused to cave to his children's tantrums.
Ridge, Thorne, Felicia, Ashley and Brooke met to discuss Donna. Brooke was upset when Ridge said that Donna and Rick have worn out their welcome at Forrester. Ridge announced it was time for a new leader, but Brooke
announced, "You take a stand against my family, you take a stand against
me."
Donna was relieved when Marcus showed up at Forrester Creations. She asked if he had any proof, but he wanted to know if she ever had a kid. Before she could answer, Katie called and said she had some information. Donna said she would come right over, then told Marcus to meet her somewhere else. Donna rushed over to meet with Katie and Marcus showed up soon after. "Yes, I had a baby boy that I gave up for adoption," Donna admitted and Marcus handed her his original birth certificate, which identified him as Baby Logan. She
tearfully drew him into her arms.
Friday
Donna and Marcus reveled in their reunion. "It's like a miracle," she
sobbed. Marcus revealed how he had tracked down lots of Donna Logans during his search for her. Donna explained how hard it was to give him up after he was born and she promised never to let him go again. Marcus was surprised to hear that Donna had always thought of him and the mood changed dramatically
when he asked about his father. "I have no idea where he is right now,"
Donna said, then added how she never told the dad she was pregnant. Marcus
continued to get upset about being given away and wasn't appeased by Donna's reasons (you know, being a teen mom with no money, etc.). He angrily stormed out of the house as Donna tearfully begged for him to come back.
Much to Brooke's chagrin, Ridge, Thorne and Felicia proposed that their dad step down as long as he was married to Donna. Meanwhile, Eric complained to Stephanie about their children's negative attitude towards Donna. The brood walked in and once again launched their anti-Donna attack. Thorne worried about his dad having divided loyalties if he should start another family with his new wife. Eric assured there would be no more kids. "Does Donna seem like the maternal type to you?" Eric pointed out, then was surprised when his kids wanted him to retire so they could take control. Stephanie asked what would happen if Eric didn't leave the company and the kids threatened to quit, but Brooke promised to stay. Eric then made a dead that if Donna brought any shame to the company or family, he would step aside for Ridge to take over. "I trust my wife that much," Eric affirmed.
