Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of March 9, 2009

Monday

While walking in the parking lot, Rick's car exploded and he was knocked off his feet. Steffy ran to his side and helped him back to his office. A horrified Brooke was at the Sky Lounge with Ridge and witnessed the explosion. They ran to Rick's office, where he accused Ridge of making another attempt on his life. "You tried to kill me, you bastard!" Rick charged. Brooke and Steffy tried to calm him down but he was adamant about Ridge's guilt. Lt. Baker and his son Charlie walked in (they were in the building questioning Marcus when the car blew up) and Rick repeated that
Ridge tried to kill him. Brooke disagreed and insisted they need to find out who the real assailant is. After Ridge, Brooke and the cops left, Steffy continued to worry about Rick but he assured she wouldn't lose him. Yep, they kissed, then he advised her to stay away from him for the time being but she insisted that she didn't want them to be separated.

At Café Russe, Owen was drinking at the bar when Bridget approached him and and asked if he was having a bad day. He revealed that Rick fired him. "He's cleaning house and getting rid of all the people he doesn't like," Owen grumbled and also revealed that a lot of people aren't happy about Rick being president. Bridget said she might be able to help Owen get a job at
another fashion house. She then received a call about Rick's car and hurried off.

Pam, Thorne, Donna and Marcus were discussing Rick's car when a relieved Marcus said he has an airtight alibi of his whereabouts this time. Pam said that wasn't necessarily so because the bomb could've been on a timer. Thorne pointed out that the explosion hadn't been attributed to a bomb yet and a protective Donna growled at Pam not to accuse Marcus.

Brooke continued to fret about Rick while Ridge was still seething that Rick and Steffy had sex. Ridge was further peeved that Brooke didn't say anything to him after she revealed that Rick had admitted to her that he had sex with Steffy. "They're adults, sweetheart," Brooke reminded but Ridge said he didn't want Brooke to endure the pain of losing a child like he did. Meanwhile, Rick found a note in his office that said, "The end is near."

Tuesday

Donna was surprised when Pam revealed she had been hired back at Forrester Creations by Stephanie. Donna was disgusted and said Rick wouldn't stand for it. Steph arrived and said there was nothing Rick could do about Pam's employment status. Donna reminded that Eric put Rick in charge but Stephanie said she has doubts about Eric's state of mind. Pam declared that Rick is "the devil" and needed to be stopped. Donna pointed out that Pam had tried
to kill people before but Ms. Douglas insisted that was when she was not in her right mind. However, Donna announced her suspicions that Pam was still crazy.

Lt. Baker looked over the threatening note that Rick received and it was determined the letters cut out to comprise "The end is near" came from a surfer magazine. Baker called Owen down to the police station where he was confronted with the note. Baker announced that Owen is now the prime suspect and Knight offered to take a lie detector test. Baker seemed to believe Owen, then asked who else worked on the surf line and Owen answered Pam.
After Owen left, Baker found out that the same fiber was found on Rick's desk and in the note. The fiber was yarn, the same kind Pam used in her crocheting.

Brooke was distraught that Rick still blamed Ridge for the attempts on his life. Brooke insisted to Rick that Ridge didn't try to kill him. Of course, Rick disagreed and recounted all the evidence mounting against Ridge.

Ridge summoned Steffy to his office, where Taylor was waiting, too. When Steffy walked in, Ridge and Taylor pushed their daughter to stop seeing Rick because she was in danger. Steffy refused to "walk away from Rick." She suggested to her parents that "it's time to let go" of her and let her make her own decisions. Ridge and Taylor assured that they will be there for Steffy when her decisions don't work out. "We love you more than life and we
just want you to be happy," Ridge affirmed.

Baker showed up at Forrester Creations and Stephanie was shocked when she realized he thought Pam had tried to kill Rick.... Brooke and Rick were surprised when Steffy said that her father wasn't going to stand in the way of their relationship. Brooke asked Ridge if that was true.

Wednesday

Stephanie was upset that Lt. Baker seemed to suspect Pam of stalking Rick.
After the cop questioned Pam about the type of yarn she uses, he revealed
that it looked like the fiber found on the letter threatening Rick. Further
searching turned up plastic explosives in Pam's storage box and she was
arrested. Pam began to freak as she was being handcuffed so Stephanie had to
calm her down.

Rick, Steffy and Brooke asked Ridge if it's true that he was not going to
interfere in Rick and Steffy's relationship. He confirmed that he didn't
want to alienate his daughter any further. Rick called Ridge's gesture of
good faith "a charade." Brooke and Steffy asked Rick to have an open mind
but Ridge accused Rick of wanting to keep their conflict going.

Upon hearing that the police are at Forrester, Donna surmised to Marcus and
Katie that Pam was being arrested. They heard a commotion out in the hallway
and emerged from the office to investigate. An agitated Pam was screaming as
she was being led away by the police. "You crazy freak!" Donna yelled at
her. Ridge, Brooke, Rick and Steffy showed up and learned that Pam was being
brought in for trying to kill Rick. He became upset that Pam was his
assailant and she insisted that she never tried to hurt him. After she was
dragged away, Donna hoped they would lock Pam up and "throw away the key."
Meanwhile, Ridge and Rick exchanged not-very-genuine apologies for the
accusations they hurled before Pam's arrest.

At the police station, Pam continued to proclaim her innocence. Stephanie
ordered her sister not to answer any questions. Lt. Baker got the lab
results that Pam's yarn and the fibers that were uncovered on the letter
were a match. After Pam was officially booked, Stephanie asked her sister if
she went after Rick, since there's so much evidence against her. Pam came
unglued as she insisted that she isn't guilty.

Thursday

"I didn't do anything to Rick," sobbed Pam in Stephanie's arms. "This is a terrible mistake." Steph was finally convinced of her sister's innocence and they both wondered who could've framed Pam. She theorized that Donna and Marcus did this together and Stephanie vowed to uncover the truth.

Felicia was surprised when Rocco showed up at Forrester Creations. Thorne revealed that Rocco, who has been working for Forrester in Paris, had actually been in town for a few days. When Rocco bristled at the mention of Rick's name, Thorne revealed that Rick has been refusing to consider Rocco's request to transfer back to L.A. Thorne also explained to Felicia that he and Rocco were working on a project together.

At Forrester, Marcus encountered a smooching Rick and Steffy. "Excuse me, I thought this was a place of business," Marcus growled. Rick tried to make nice with him but Marcus said that he hoped that Steffy will one day open her eyes and see "the ass she's fallen for." After Marcus left, Rick was surprised to see Rocco in the hallway. Carner explained that Thorne approved his transfer back to L.A. for a project they're working on. "Its the bomb," Rocco said cryptically.

Donna left a note for Eric to join her in the steam room. Stephanie found the mushy missive and slipped into the steam room where Donna was luxuriating. Thinking Eric had come in she started cooing to her Honey Bear through the steam. Stephanie then dumped a pail of cold water on Donna and told her to come out for a talk. The ladies met in Eric's office, where Stephanie accused Donna of setting up Pam with Marcus. Donna stormed out, then Stephanie learned that Rick and Steffy were headed to the beach house.

Brooke praised Ridge for taking such a "huge step" in not fighting Rick and Steffy, but it was obvious that he still wasn't happy with the arrangement. Meanwhile, Rick and Steffy went to the beach house, where he had a romantic dinner of candlelight and wine ready. They didn't touch either as they started to make out on the sofa, but they were interrupted when Stephanie showed up. She explained that Steffy needed to leave at once because Pam is
not the assailant, so the real culprit is still out there. When Rick said Stephanie was as crazy as her sister, Steph slapped him — twice! Steffy refused to budge and Granny threatened Rick if anything happens to her granddaughter.

Friday

Stephanie convinced Taylor and Thomas that Pam isn't involved in "the craziness" with Rick. Steph warned that Steffy is in danger as long as the real assailant is out there. Taylor called Ridge (who was in bed with Brooke after just having sex) and asked him to come over right away. Ridge complied and once he arrived, Stephanie convinced him of Pam's innocence and added that they needed to drag Steffy away from Rick. Thomas agreed that Steffy could be harmed as long as she's hanging out with Rick. "I don't want to risk losing our daughter," Taylor fretted to Ridge.

Katie visited Brooke, who explained that Ridge was with Taylor at the moment. Katie asked if that bothered her and Brooke said no but she felt sorry for Taylor because she is so "vulnerable." After Katie left, Stephanie showed up to point out to Brooke that Rick is still in danger. Brooke refused to believe that Pam isn't Rick's attacker. Brooke pointed out that Stephanie doesn't have control over everybody any longer. After a frustrated Steph stormed out, Brooke happily flashbacked to her and Ridge's last wedding.

Stephanie's scary visit was a definite buzzkill for Steffy. Rick got her back in a romantic mood with kisses. "I wish every evening can be like this," Steffy purred. They sat down for a yummy supper but they were interrupted when Ridge, Taylor and Thomas
burst in and demanded that Steffy come up with them. "Please leave me alone," Steffy wailed and as Rick started to object, Thomas knocked him to the floor. Thomas and Ridge then grabbed Steffy and escorted her out, with Taylor following close behind. Rick was disoriented by the slug and couldn't stop them.

Rick showed up at his mom's house and told Brooke that Ridge and company kidnapped Steffy. "That family is insane," Rick spat. Meanwhile, the fleeing Forresters settled in at the Big Bear cabin, where Steffy complained about being "held captive." Taylor explained they are simply trying to protect Steffy. She went outside and Ridge followed. Thomas went to bed and Taylor noticed that fuzzy fibers from her son's sweater fell off; a sweater that Pam had crocheted for him. Taylor grew concerned as she recalled Stephanie's words that the incriminating fibers were connected to Rick's attacker.
