Bold and Beautiful Recaps
B&B Week Of March 29, 2010
Monday
Whip and Taylor canoodled, beaming over their hasty engagement and even speedier wedding. Whip feared Steffy and Thomas's reaction, since they were such Taylor/Ridge cheerleaders. Taylor assured him that they'd be happy. She then suggested he move in with her after they're married. Whip pointed out that Stephanie, the world's biggest "Tridge" fan, lived there, too. And then he realized Taylor was yanking his chain about living there with Stephanie. She promised to talk to her pal about moving out. Then, Steffy and Thomas showed up and learned the big news. They were dumbstruck! Whip spoke movingly about wanting happiness for Taylor and the kids got on board and gave Whip their blessing. Taylor asked Steffy to be her maid of honor and Steffy was psyched to hear Whip was asking Oliver to stand up for him. Later, Whip and Taylor made up an invite list for the wedding and Whip urged her to include Ridge. Then, Stephanie came down for coffee and breakfast and Whip broke the wedding news. Stephanie had a non-reaction at first but then admitted she's delighted that Whip had given Taylor a "glow." She said she'd move out, but put Whip on notice: "This woman is very precious to me, so you'd better treat her that way." Once alone, Whip and Taylor cuddled.
A robe-clad Steffy called Oliver and flirted outrageously. Flustered but flattered Oliver, who was at Forrester, was grinning when he hung up the phone. Nearby, Hope smartly pitched her ideas for a Hope for the Future commercial to Brooke and Ridge. When Oliver interrupted, Hope was thrilled. Oliver and Ridge acquainted themselves and then Hope ran the music so her parents could judge. And, sure enough, they liked Oliver's track! Cue Forrester gaining a new employee! He hugged Hope, jubilant. Steffy showed up just in time to watch the duo being all adorable and cute through a crack in the door. Thomas caught her playing voyeur and accused her of having a thing for Oliver and wanting to get at Hope. Steffy insisted Oliver "needs a woman, not a teenager." And she'd make her move at Whip and Taylor's wedding!
Tuesday
Ridge, Eric and Brooke beamed about how much fun it was come to work now that Ridge is CEO. Taylor walked in to show off her ring and announce her engagement. Meanwhile, up on the Sky Lounge, Whip asked Oliver to be his best man. Oliver was a little freaked out by the prospect. "Complete idiots have done this before, even drunk!" assured Whip, sending his cousin off with a hug. Whip then called a guy named Beau about a surprise for Taylor. Elsewhere at Forrester, Hope told Steffy that Oliver had nabbed the Hope For the Future music gig. "Oh, so he's working for me now!" bubbled Steffy, before telling Hope about Taylor's wedding. In Ridge's office, everyone congratulated Taylor, who had one request: For Eric not to bring Donna, for Stephanie's sake. At the Sky Lounge, Donna didn't understand why Eric had accepted the invite to attend Taylor's wedding without her. She was further flummoxed when Stephanie walked up and Eric said Stephanie could live in the guest house while figuring things out. Downstairs, Steffy flirted with Oliver in front of Hope, pointing out that as the maid of honor, she was basically his wedding date. Brooke was a little apprehensive about the kids' potential romantic drama at the wedding and Taylor dismissed the concern ... clearly not realizing that her daughter was nearby throwing herself at Oliver. She even stuck her hand in his pocket to demonstrate pulling out the rings for the ceremony! Hope knew exactly what her stepsister was up to. Fortunately, so did Oliver. The young lovebirds kissed, forgetting Steffy's overtures. Meanwhile, Brooke continued to marvel about Taylor moving on, but Ridge didn't look so thrilled. And thinking about Ridge and Taylor's past gave Stephanie pause as well. She and Taylorthen had a heart-to-heart.
At Jackie M, Nick and Jackie talked about Bridget, worried about her. Nearby in Nick's office Owen and Bridget again discussed the awkwardness of their whole situation ... not realizing Aggie was listening at the door! Aggie then walked on in, saying that Whip had called a meeting in about 20 minutes. When everyone gathered, they tried to figure out what was going on. Was it about Aggie's place in the company? Jackie suggested Aggie could be Bridget's assistant. When Whip arrived, he promptly invited them to his wedding! Hugs and congratulations ensued. Bridget even sketched up some changes to an existing design to whip up a wedding dress! Then, when Jackie raved about marriage to Aggie, Bridget and Owen squirmed.
Wednesday
At Forrester, Pam couldn't resist teasing Donna about Stephanie moving into the guesthouse. She predicted that Eric and Stephanie would reconcile. After Pam left, a depressed Donna reached into her purse and tore into a bag of chips. She was startled when Hope entered. "Hey, Aunt Donna, what's wrong? You look miserable!" Hope commented. Donna and Hope commiserated with one another that their men were spending the day with the women that could threaten their relationships. Donna continued scarfing chips. One thing Hope said she was thankful for was that Ridge could never bounce back to Taylor again. She began going through boxes in an attempt to help her dad get organized in his new office. She came across an old photo album Taylor must have made for him long ago. Hope and Donna marveled at the memories contained in the book.
At Taylor's house, the florists were putting the finishing touches on the arrangements. Upstairs, Taylor answered her phone and was surprised to hear Whip on the other end. He begged her to come help him get dressed. Taylor refused, saying she wanted to follow tradition. She thanked him for the beautiful wedding gown he and Bridget had designed for her.
Out on the veranda, Steffy and Thomas were dressed and ready for the wedding. A tuxedo-clad Oliver arrived and Steffy leaped into his arms. She proclaimed that they made a hot couple, and predicted that their relationship would soon go beyond maid of honor-best man.
The wedding guests began arriving and Stephanie and Eric greeted everyone. Eric apologized to Jackie for "stealing" Stephanie away from the company. Jackie was in a happy wedding mood, though, and dismissed his concerns. She exclaimed that weddings made her happy, just as her own "solid" marriage to Owen. Bridget and Owen exchanged sheepish glances.
Ridge arrived for the nups. Stephanie appeared and comforted him. "It's a big day, isn't it, honey?" she asked. Ridge responded that he was happy for Taylor and the new direction her life was taking. Stephanie tried to goad Ridge into saying that he wished Taylor would not marry Whip. He didn't take the bait, though, which Brooke witnessed from the shadows. Brooke became wistful as she flashed back to all the times Stephanie had told her that Ridge would always end up with Taylor. Bridget comforted her mom, but Brooke remained a bit shaken. "This is a hard day for Ridge ... it's like the end of an era for him," she said sadly.
Back inside, Steffy congratulated her mother and gave her a big hug. "I haven't been this happy in a long, long time," Taylor admitted. Steffy said that although she had always longed for her mom and dad to reunite, she was very happy for her. After she left, Stephanie arrived and expressed her sadness that her former daughter-in-law would not be reuniting with Ridge. "Please just be happy for me — this is my wedding day!" Taylor implored.
Oliver made his way up to Steffy's bedroom, where Whip was getting dressed. He was discussing his best man duties with his cousin, when Agnes arrived. Whip was glad he could have family around him. Agnes and Oliver presented their grandfather's flask to him as a wedding gift, and Whip was touched. They left, and Ridge arrived. "You wanted to see me?" Ridge inquired. Whip explained that he wanted to make sure things between them were "cool" and that he would never try to replace Ridge as a father. Whip sensed that Ridge was having a hard time letting go of Taylor, and said that he understood, since Taylor was such a great lady.
Brooke found Whip out on the veranda. Whip teased her that she should be extra happy about Taylor being taken off the market. Brooke giggled and admitted she was.
Finally alone with her thoughts in her bedroom, Taylor flashed back to all her romantic memories with Ridge. She was startled by a knock on the door and was taken off guard to see Ridge. He tried to express his feelings, but got tongue-tied and instead swept her into a hug.
Downstairs, the wedding was about to begin and the pastor instructed all the guests to be seated. Eric and Stephanie sat together, and Ridge slipped in next to Brooke at the last second. Brooke wondered where he had been, but Ridge avoided answering, saying there was "something" he just had to do. The wedding began, and Steffy processed in. Taylor appeared, looking radiant in a strapless white gown with a powder blue sash. Whip beamed from ear to ear upon seeing his bride coming toward him. Taylor moved gracefully up the aisle and handed her bouquet to her daughter. Whip whispered that she was the most beautiful bride he had ever seen. The pastor began speaking about the beauty of marriage. Bridget and Owen both shifted uncomfortably next to their spouses. Steffy and Oliver exchanged smiles. When the pastor asked if anyone knew of any reason why the couple should not be married, Ridge stood up. "I'm not going to let this happen!" he announced. The guests gasped collectively, while Brooke and Taylor were both taken aback. Taylor's mouth hung open in shock.
Thursday
Ridge freaked everyone out when he stood up at Whip and Taylor's wedding and said he couldn't let this happen and had something to say! He spoke movingly about always loving Taylor and mentioned Phoebe...and basically gave Whip and Taylor his blessing! Brooke looked a little perturbed by the outpouring of emotion. Then, Agnes did a reading (the content of which made Bridget and Owen all uncomfortable) and Stephanie read Taylor's favorite poem by Emily Dickinson. Come "I do" time, Whip said his without reservation but Taylor paused. Everybody began to squirm and then she finally blurted out, "I will...I mean, I do!" Then they spoke from the heart and exchanged vows and rings. The, they were pronounced husband and wife and they kissed. Later, at the reception, Oliver cautioned Aggie about her obvious ogling of Nick and Taylor gently chided Ridge for his interruption. Then Oliver made his very funny best man toast and Steffy made her own speech. After that, Whip lauded Taylor to everyone, telling her that meeting her had been magical and he'd known she was the one. "You are the love of my life," he said, raising his glass. "Thank you for making me the happiest man on earth."
At Forrester, Donna confided in Hope about how she felt pushed out of the company and her own home. Tears were shed, and Hope tried to reassure Donna that Eric loves her. But Donna couldn't help but grouse about Eric and Stephanie bonding at the wedding. She even called Stephanie to tell her she can't move into the guest house!
Friday
Everybody clinked their glasses as newlyweds Whip and Taylor canoodled. Then, Eric walked up on Pam and Stephanie with their heads together,
wondering what they were talking about. Pam pulled out her Eric/Stephanie
pom-poms and commenced with the cheerleading. Nick and Bridget congratulated
Taylor as Agnes looked on. Jackie raved to Owen about their beach wedding,
and Aggie gave them the stink-eye, too. "Let it go, Aggie," urged Oliver.
Then, Steffy and Oliver presented the married duo for their first dance.
Whip had country artist Beau Davidson serenade his new bride while they took
a spin around the floor. Then, everybody took to the floor. Pam danced with
nephew Thomas and eyed a dancing Eric and Steph with hope! Later, Whip and
Taylor fed each other cake and made out some more and Aggie needled Bridget
under the guise of talking about renewing their friendship. Luckily, Oliver
stepped in. Nearby, Pam gave Whip a perishable present, joking that Taylor
should try it first and see what happens. Whip fist-bumped his ardent fan
and then stashed the gift under a table. LOL! As the party began to break
up, Taylor raised a toast to her kids and her new husband. Then newlyweds
commenced with their wedding night!
At the Forrester mansion, Donna and Hope continued their mopefest about
being left off the wedding invite list. Hope made a deal with Donna to not
think about what their guys were doing and let them have one night with the
enemy. On cue, Oliver called to check in with her. She wryly wondered how
many passes quarterback Steffy had thrown. Oliver reassured Hope, but the
second he got off the phone, impetuous Steffy planted a kiss on him! Back at
the mansion, Donna chowed down on snacks and Hope got a "wild idea." She
showed up at the wedding to catch up with Oliver...catching Steffy coming out in a bikini,
bent on seduction. Snark ensued...and then Steffy knocked Taylor and Whip's
wedding cake over right onto Hope! "Have fun, kids!" she drawled before
sauntering away. It didn't deter the kids in question, though. "Chocolate,
my favorite," cracked Oliver, kissing a giggling Hope.
Donna was stunned when Eric came home with Stephanie in tow! She pleaded
with Eric to be loyal to her and put the past in the past. She begged him to
ask Stephanie to go!
