Bold and Beautiful Recaps
B&B Week of June 28, 2010
Monday
On the roof, Steffy confronted Oliver about his tryst with Brooke at Hope's graduation party. He continued to deny it even after Steffy mentioned that Brooke was wearing Hope's necklace and Ridge and Oliver had matching jackets that night. She asked Oliver if perhaps Brooke had used him, just as she's used so many men in the past. Oliver did his best to conceal the truth and warned Steffy to drop it.
Ridge and Brooke met in the steam room and made love. Before he left, Brooke assured him that her heart is his and his alone.
At Forrester, Bill, Katie and Donna sat down to a meeting with Stephanie and Eric. Stephanie offered to overlook the fact that Stephen tried to kill her and caused her sister Pam excessive pain; she would plead for leniency in Stephen's case…as long as Donna gave up her quest for her half of Eric's shares of Forrester. Eric insisted he knew nothing of the deal when Bill suggested that Eric would have the most to gain from the offer. Katie and Donna considered the offer to save their father, but Bill said no. Donna could be giving up her shares for no reason at all; there was no guarantee that Stephanie's plea for leniency would actually result in a lighter sentence for Stephen. Eric called Bill out on caring more about his business than his wife's family. Donna needed time to think.
After Steffy left, Oliver texted Brooke and told her that someone was onto them. Brooke was shocked to find out that Steffy knew as she was not even at the party. Oliver nervously told her that Steffy had had a source at the party. Brooke stressed to Oliver that Steffy could never find out the truth.
Steffy asked Ridge how chaperoning Hope's party went. Ridge made it clear that he had arrived at the party alone. Steffy asked if he had any time to dance with his wife or sneak out to the terrace for some fun. Ridge insisted that they were chaperoning a house full of kids and never had the time for such a thing. Steffy looked over the footage of the party, confirming her theory that Ridge was not the man on the terrace with Brooke. "You're mine, Brooke," she smiled to herself "I own you."
Tuesday
Bill, Katie and Donna visited Stephen in prison. The girls laid out Stephanie's offer. Bill was against accepting the deal — Stephen's actions won't be erased by "six-gun Sally" asking for leniency for him. Stephen agreed — he wants Stephanie and the Forresters to pay. They left. Stephen asked to go back to his cell. Not yet. "Surprised to see me?" asked Pam. Pam said that even thought he hurt her, their time together was the most incredible she has ever had. Stephen assured Pam that in the end he did care about her. He sees her for the person she really is. Stephen noted that Pam was wearing her pearls again, her "collar of submission." Yes, she had them restrung. Stephen said he was "sorrier than he could ever say" for what he did to her.
Brooke assured Oliver that no one saw them have sex at Hope's party - Steffy is just yanking his chain. Steffy would have gone straight to Ridge if she had proof. Oliver laid out Steffy's threats, and Brooke suddenly got nervous that Steffy might go to Stephanie with her suspicions. "Mrs. Forrester," worried Oliver, "you seem a little freaked out." Brooke recounted how Hope is the product of her worst scandal, and this could ruin everything. Oliver agreed: "It's not like I took a bite out of your sandwich." Ridge entered, wondering if they were rehashing the details of the party. Um, yes. Ridge thanked Oliver for making that night special for Hope and her mom. "You really nailed it," he praised. Alone, Brooke urged Oliver to put Steffy off the scent "One crazy night… one stupid mistake. How it could cost us," rued Brooke.
Steffy watched the video of Hope's party, saying aloud that she knows Oliver hooked up with Brooke. Ridge entered. Steffy remarked that it must have been hard to tell who from who that night with all those masks. "Dad, I have something to tell you..." Stephanie interrupted to tell them she struck a deal with the Logans that she would ask for leniency for Stephen in exchange for Donna not going after Eric's share of the company. Steffy pulled her grandmother aside and said she has something on Brooke that could bring her down for good, but needed to confirm it first. Steffy showed the video to Marcus, asking if those were the two people he saw making love. Yes, but Marcus was sorry he ever said anything. Brooke is his aunt! That guy in the hooded jacket is Ridge. What Steffy was thinking was insane. Let it go. Steffy got an idea and went to ask Ridge about the hood on his jacket. Ridge hates hoods, he would never wear one, said Ridge. Ah-ha! Alone, Steffy vowed to tell the world what Brooke did to her daughter.
Wednesday
Steffy found Oliver kissing Hope. "That's how you get into trouble," she taunted him. Hope agreed that they are sickeningly in love and left. Steffy warned Oliver that it will break Hope's heart to find out what is going on between Oliver and Hope's mom. Oliver insisted again there is nothing between him and Mrs. Forrester. Stop calling her that! That makes it more creepy! Steffy outlined her evidence, asserting Ridge wasn't wearing a hood the night of the party. Just admit it: Brooke lead him outside. "It wasn't like that!" blurted Oliver. "It's true!" exulted Steffy. Oliver begged Steffy to think about Ridge and how this will hurt him. No way — Steffy is going to Stephanie with this. "It's time to put an end to Brooke and her amoral behavior." Oliver explained that the mask-sex was just a case of mistaken identity, outlining the necklace, matching leather jackets, etc. They got mixed up, and Brooke is mortified. "It was an accident!" cried Oliver. "Don't tell anyone about this!"
Ridge asked Brooke what is going on with her. She hedged. He asked if she was upset about Stephanie's plan to offer leniency to Stephen in exchange for Donna dropping the lawsuit. What? asked Brooke. Ridge updated Brooke on Stephanie's plan, but said something else is going on. There is. Brooke is worried that Steffy is out to get her — Stephanie has a "mini-clone" doing her dirty work. Steffy will never forgive Brooke for taking Ridge away from her. Brooke never meant to make Steffy's life miserable. "Whose life is miserable?" asked Hope. Brooke shared her fears, but Hope assured Brooke that "Steffy has nothing on us." Hope left. Brooke admitted she lets her heart guide her and sometimes that gets her into trouble.
Pam lamented that Stephen just used her to get to Stephanie. "How could you have done that?" Stephen admitted he had no right to do that to Pam. Did Stephen ever have any real feelings for her? Not in the beginning, but now he is not sure. Stephen is very glad Pam came to see him. They discussed Pam's baking skills and he praised her for her warm personality and caretaking abilities. Stephen said they will never know if they could have been a couple since he is in prison now. Stephen doesn't expect forgiveness, but seeing Pam's face makes him feel less alone. Pam softened and said she will make a batch of lemon bars tonight.
Thursday
Amber turned up at a Cabana Boy photo shoot in L.A. "You got my message!" exulted Whip. Whip introduced Amber to a partially-clad Jackie and Owen. Amber praised the shoot as "hot," saying Jackie is a lucky lady to have Owen as her cabana boy. Whip pointed out what a success Amber's Ambrosia line was at Forrester back in the day. Jackie admitted they need some design help, because things are not functioning as they should be right now (i.e. Nick and Bridget). Would Amber like to come work for them? Amber got emotional, saying Sally Spectra was the last person who believed in her. Whip said he knows Amber's confidence isn't what it should be right now, but Jackie M is just the place for her to regain it. Jackie liked to think the M stand for misfit. "We're a family here," smiled Jackie. It feels like I'll fit right in, said Amber. Except for Bridget, who has always had a problem with Amber... Jackie said it's her company and Amber is welcome. They embraced.
Oliver begged Steffy not to open her mouth about his mask-sex with Brooke. Steffy refused. Oliver left. Hope came looking for Oliver. He's probably with your mom, said Steffy quietly. "Are you okay?" asked Hope. They reminisced about the time they flew kites at the beach with Phoebe and Thomas. They felt like sisters then. "I'm sorry, Hope," said Steffy cryptically.
Oliver gave Brooke the bad news that Steffy knows about their mask-sex. Why did he admit it? she cried. Steffy talked to her dad and knows Ridge was not at the party for the song Brooke and Oliver danced to, Pose. Oliver said he begged Steffy not to say anything. Brooke fretted about what the truth will do to Hope, especially because of the circumstances of Hope's birth. "I have to stop Steffy," vowed Brooke. "Good luck, Mrs. Forrester," said Oliver.
Hope found Oliver, wondering why Steffy would have said he was with her mom. Oliver rattled on about how lucky he is to have a girl like Hope, and he doesn't want to lose her. You never will, Hope assured him.
Brooke called Steffy to her office and asked what she plans to do. Tell the world what kind of woman Brooke Logan really is, retorted Steffy. "I don't understand how a daughter of Ridge's can be so incredibly cruel," lamented Brooke. Steffy chastised Brooke for having sex with her daughter's boyfriend, adding that even if it had been Ridge it would still have been inappropriate at a graduation party. "It was an accident," repeated Brooke. "Only YOU could have that kind of accident," snarked Steffy. Is Steffy's need for revenge so great that she would hurt her own father? Protecting Brooke is not what's best for her father, replied Steffy. Steffy asserted that Brooke would have just been a passing phase in Ridge's life if she hadn't worked her sexual magic on him. The breakup of Steffy's family was not Brooke's fault, asserted Brooke. We all made mistakes. This will be the biggest mistake of all if Steffy opens her mouth and devastates Ridge and Hope. "I am begging you," implored Brooke. "Please don't do this!"
Friday
Brooke begged Steffy not to hurt Hope and Ridge with the truth. "It's me you want to hurt," said Brooke, offering to leave Forrester in exchange for Steffy's silence. Stephanie called, demanding to know what Steffy has on Brooke. All in due time. Brooke warned Steffy that Stephanie will turn this into a major scandal and it will hurt Forrester. Too bad, sneered Steffy. Ridge and Hope deserve to know the truth. Brooke said she's sorry to see that Steffy is as cruel and heartless as her namesake.
Oliver and Hope made out. Hope couldn't get over how things have changed with Steffy. All she does is apologize now! Wouldn't it be something if Steffy really was sorry for the terrible things she's done? "That would be something all right," replied Oliver. Hope found Brooke to talk about the "project" Brooke and Oliver are clearly working on. "Project?" stammered Brooke. Yes, that must be what it is. Hope felt bad that Brooke isn't an owner of Forrester anymore and hoped the project showed everyone how talented she is. "You've been the perfect mom," gushed Hope. Brooke hoped her daughter always feels that way.
Amber started designing as Jackie and Owen looked on. Owen left, prompting Jackie to say he is much more than just her Cabana Boy. They have weathered many obstacles, said Jackie. Amber pried, but Jackie put her off. Jackie asked Amber about her own checkered romantic past, but it was Amber's turn to demur. Jackie explained that Bridget's pregnancy is high-risk so she has to be careful. "I can't wait to work with Nick!" enthused Amber. Amber asked how Jackie hooked up with Owen. Jackie replied that she literally parasailed into his life. Jackie added that she'd never let Owen go.
Bridget and Owen discussed whether Nick will ever forgive her. Owen pointed to Jackie forgiving him as a hopeful sign. Nick wouldn't return Bridget's calls. "I broke his heart," she rued. Owen asked to feel Bridget's stomach. "It's crazy to think there's a little surfer dude in there," he said, adding that the baby's first word will be "Cowabunga!" It's good to laugh again, smiled Bridget. Amber stumbled onto their little domestic scene and looked surprised.
Steffy met with Oliver and told him the truth has to come out: "Brooke has to be stopped." Ridge commented to Brooke that he knows his mother and daughter are going after her. They are just dwelling on the past. Steffy has to realize that Brooke has changed — she is no longer a walking scandal waiting to explode in his life, said Ridge. Brooke responded that she would never knowingly hurt Ridge — but something happened with Oliver. "This damn jacket," she said, touching the jacket Ridge wore that night. One of the things Ridge has always loved about Brooke is her spontaneity, listed Brooke. The lights, the mistaken identity, the music… Ridge was going to have to forgive her one more time. "I thought it was you," she cried, "but it was Oliver!"
