Monday

In fake Paris, Nick tried to convince deadbeat Beth to come home to Katie.
"It's your job," he said of her role as a mother. "She needs you." Beth got
all prickly at Nick lecturing her and said she'd just be in the way if she
visited. Beth was, naturally, confused about why Katie is living with Nick
and Bridget and he's not with Brooke. (LOL!) Nick explained that issue and
kept convincing her to come home. "This is my home," Beth said, stiffly.
Nick kept hacking away at her, until she agreed. "Pack a bag. I'll handle
everything else," he said. Ensconcing Beth on his plane, he forced her to
call Katie and say she was coming home. Brooke picked up the call, delighted
to hear the news. Beth? Not so delighted to give it. She was visibly
uncomfortable as Nick talked about how much her girls would appreciate her
visit.

In L.A. Brooke, Donna, and Katie had a powwow about Marcus. Donna insisted
all the Forresters would be charmed by him. Elsewhere, outside an obscenely
poorly lit beachhouse, Steffy and Marcus nearly kissed. She was definitely
charmed! But still suspicious, she warned him that lies come out. Marcus
said he just wanted time to get to know Donna before all the big drama.
Marcus' aunties, meanwhile, were all doom and gloom about Eric finding out
about him in the wrong way. "Thank you both for worrying," sighed Donna.
Then, they discussed Beth and her reluctance to visit L.A. "She was cold,"
shuddered Katie of Beth blowing her off. "Family drama is just family
drama," cracked Steffy, noting she'd hoped Marcus was a corporate spy.
Brooke assured Katie that she had her sisters; she wasn't alone. Katie
worried that Beth blamed her for Storm's death. Marcus and Steffy bonded
over their mommy issues, sitting out by the fire, and Phoebe overheard the
Big Secret.

Tuesday

Shirtless, muscle-bound Marcus challenged Steffy to a game of HORSE.
Flirtation ensued, though Marcus was wary of hanging out right there on Forrester territory under Ridge's nose. After whipping Steffy's butt in HORSE, Marcus admitted everything was going to change when Ridge learned the truth.

Ridge, Felicia and Thorne kvetched about Donna approving a major marketing campaign featuring her and Eric and they questioned Marcus and Donna's connection. Phoebe, who was listening to the complaints, remembered Steffy spilling Marcus' secret. Donna, meanwhile, told Eric she really needed to talk to him tonight. Ridge rhapsodized about the good ol' days and getting Eric to "take the blinders off." Guilt-ridden Phoebe shared what she knew: "Donna is Marcus' mother." Ridge practically salivated with glee and got his investigator on the case. "Dad deserves so much better than a wife who would hide something this big from him!" he exclaimed.

Nick arrived home with Stephen, who Donna greeted with a hug. Following him in? Beth! Donna hugged her, too, and then everyone praised Nick for bringing her to Los Angeles. Nick took Stephen upstairs as Donna talked to Beth about Storm's death. Katie and Stephen reunited joyfully. Not so joyful was Beth, who remained silent as Donna hoped Beth's history with Eric wouldn't affect Donna's current relationship with him. Donna also brought up being pregnant years ago, and how Beth had helped her through it. She also admitted her son was back. "I don't know what to say!" gasped Beth. But enough about Donna — she finally asked why Beth had been away so long. Beth claimed jet lag so she wouldn't have to answer.

Katie got dressed, missing her Laker pajamas, and wished her mom (a fellow Lakers fan) was there, too. "Where's she been? Where's my mother?" demanded Katie — as Beth appeared. Cue more hugs, apologies, and lots of "I love you"s.

Wednesday

Katie was all aglow reuniting with Beth, and then things got serious as they discussed Storm's death and her surgery. Downstairs, Brooke fawned all over Nick for his heroic gesture. She even hugged him, simpering about what he'd done for Katie. In Katie's room, Beth noted she should've been here and the family had a bittersweet moment. As Brooke reunited with Mom (and talked about surviving her attack last year), it was Stephen's turn to thank St. Nick of the Holy Jet. The girls all laughed and enjoyed being with their mother. Katie asked Beth not to leave again. Beth excused herself, clearly freaked, and ordered a flight to Paris.

At Forrester, Ridge shared the news about Marcus with Thorne and Felicia, who were giddy with joy about Donna keeping a secret from Eric. "Out she'll go!" crowed Ridge. Elsewhere, Eric lectured Marcus about changing some shipping and receiving logs, noting the old way they did things was just fine. Ouch! This only fueled Marcus' fear that Eric wouldn't accept him. Meanwhile, Jared, a press contact, alerted Ridge, Thorne, and Felicia to how Donna was ruining the company's rep. It was time to "deliver Dad a very large wake-up call." Ridge's PI soon arrived to confirm that Marcus is Donna's son. Armed with proof, the kids were determined to tell Eric the truth. Down in shipping, Steffy stood by as Eric apologized to Marcus and admitted he'd liked Marcus' "revised system." Relieved, Marcus and Steffy hugged. Hold that relief, though. Ridge went to Eric and said they needed to have a meeting — sans Donna. As Eric and Ridge argued, Marcus overheard. Ridge cattily told Marcus to prepare for a shipment leaving tonight — for Texas. Rattled Marcus left Donna a heads-up voicemail.

Thursday

At Forrester, Ridge reiterated to Marcus that there were possibly TWO upcoming shipments to Texas. (Ouch!) Marcus asked a baffled Steffy if she'd let his secret slip. "I think he knows," Marcus theorized before leaving Donna another message. He flashed back on Donna freaking out over the Forresters finding out and wondered if he should leave to get Ridge off Donna's back. "I don't want you to go," cried Steffy. Meanwhile, Ridge told Stephanie the news and said his issue was not Marcus but the secret Donna kept. Stephanie wanted Eric to realize the Forresters were his family, not the Logans. "And you, Mother; don't ever forget that," said Ridge. Later, Donna finally showed up at Forrester and she assured Marcus he wasn't going anywhere. She'd introduce Eric to her son. Tonight. Upstairs, Felicia and Thorne arrived for the "moment of truth." "Let's get this over with," growled Eric, decrying a "Donna bashing session." After a few minutes of dramatic setup and kvetching, Ridge finally lowered the boom: "Marcus is Donna's son." Eric laughed, thinking it was a joke. But when Donna and Marcus appeared in the doorway, it was no laughing matter. She confirmed Ridge's assertion and begged for Eric's understanding.

Beth made her flight plans as her daughters raved about her visit. Katie already felt better. "Wittle Katie just needed her Mommy," teased Brooke. Downstairs, Nick questioned Stephen about Beth's life in Paris but Stephen didn't know much. They couldn't figure out why Beth had to be dragged home. As the Logan sibs gushed about Beth's grandkids and a party on the beach, Beth eavesdropped and looked haunted. "Nothing is more important than family," sighed Katie to Beth. Later, Beth was downstairs (closer to the door!) as Donna praised how she'd raised her girls. As soon as she had a minute alone, Beth checked in about her flight — and Brooke overheard. In Katie's room, she told Nick she was "extremely grateful" for how he'd taken care of her and urged him to focus on Bridget. Furious Brooke lashed out at her mother for trying to skip town, noting that Katie, her youngest, was still sick. "How can you do this?" she scolded.

Friday

Down in the bowels of shipping and receiving, Phoebe warned Steffy that seeing Marcus was a bad idea, and revealed she'd overheard their talk at the beach. Horrified Steffy realized Phoebe had narced to Ridge and bolted upstairs. After sussing out the office confrontation (see below), Steffy argued to her dad that Donna giving up a baby wasn't some kind of scandal and that the "witch hunt" was wrong. "I feel for him," she said of Marcus. "I'm concerned about you," Ridge answered, warning, "Stay away from Donna's son."

In the office, Eric reeled from Donna's confession. "There are certain things that you tell a husband before you marry him," he murmured, and Donna admitted she'd waited too long and asked him not to hold it against her. She explained her teen pregnancy and the adoption, and Marcus explained how he'd tracked her down. Ridge, Thorne and Felicia wondered why she'd been lying and snarked about her credibility. Steffy interrupted and vouched for Marcus. "Where the hell is your loyalty?" Ridge scolded, as the family turned on her. "Donna is a good person," Marcus insisted, passionately asking Eric to do the right thing by his mom. Eric told Donna she was "foolish" for not coming to him, but he understood! His kids had been "lurking," waiting for scandal. "You are not a scandal," he told Marcus, telling Donna she didn't have to explain herself to Thorne or the others. Eric and Donna reaffirmed their faith in each other. As Ridge got riled, Eric cracked, "Oh, I'm sorry, Ridge. You're disappointed?" Ridge and his snotty sibs walked out. Chagrined by his kids' attitude, Eric apologized for the culture of fear and said Marcus could stop calling him "Sir," and start calling him "Eric."(Mind you, he also defended his kids, saying they were just trying to protect him.) Marcus assured him that from this day forward, Marcus had his back, too.

Katie mused to Stephen that Beth seemed distant while, downstairs, Brooke blasted Beth for trying to flee. When Stephen investigated the raised voices, Brooke clued him in. He asked to speak to Beth alone and warned her that walking out on the family was irrevocable: "I should know," he noted. "Oh, Stephen, you're forgiven," she sighed, as he hoped that she would stick around and strengthen their connection. Still, she refused to tell him what was up with her. Upstairs, Brooke told Katie about Beth's flight and she came down to confront her mom. "Were you gonna say goodbye?" she demanded. "So if I kick off, will you come to my funeral?" She figured Beth blamed her for Storm's death. "That's the only explanation for this!" she declared. Beth denied it, so Katie asked Beth to come with her to Storm's grave. "Next visit," hedged Beth, upsetting Katie further. As Katie railed, Beth finally said she wasn't Katie's mom. "I am not the mother you remember," Beth finally admitted. "I had a stroke. A series of them." Her doctors thought it was the "onset of dementia." She didn't want to be a burden, so she begged Katie to let her go.
