Oliver forbid Steffy from opening her mouth, saying she will hurt her dad. It's about justice, she replied. Steffy said she thinks about Phoebe every time she sees Hope being a model -- that should be her sister! It's because of the Logans that Phoebe is dead! Oliver wants to be friends. He will do whatever Steffy says if she will keep her mouth shut. Okay, here are her terms: 1) Brooke has to leave the company. 2) Hope has to go, too -- to college in Boston. 3) Oliver has to date Steffy. Those are her conditions. Forrester must be Logan-free in exchange for Steffy's silence.
Rick came in to offer his help to Hope for her photo shoot, now that Steffy has been removed from the line. They lamented Nick and Bridget's problems. Hope posed for a series of pictures. Steffy stuck her head in and asked to speak with Hope alone. Rick didn't think that was a good idea, but Hope said it's okay. Steffy made a cryptic comment to Hope about how this was all about to end.
Whip asked Bridget if he could help. She said she has to talk to Nick, and tried his number one more time. Nick stared at the phone while drinking alone on his boat. Whip advised Bridget to deal with Nick face-to-face. Bridget showed up on the boat and found Nick engaged in his "disgusting habit" of smoking cigars. Bridget misses Nick. They have to talk. Nick was silent. Bridget found a divorce document with his wedding ring lying on it. "Don't do this," she begged. Bridget knows she made a terrible mistake, but she won't give up on their marriage.
Brooke repeated to Ridge that she got carried away at Hope's party and thought he did too. He did, said Ridge. "It wasn't Oliver, it was me," said Ridge. A misunderstanding ensued. It turned out that Ridge was talking about being the one who secured Daddy Yankee for the party, not Oliver. Oh! Brooke rambled on about not wanting to cause a scandal and embarrass him… nobody is perfect… fate is interfering in their destiny…. there is something she has to tell him. Ridge got nervous -- what is it? Oliver interrupted to tell Mrs. Forrester he had to discuss something urgent with her. Ridge left. Oliver relayed Steffy's terms for keeping quiet. Brooke was appalled. "It's vintage blackmail," spit Oliver, refusing to give Hope up. "We have to accept Steffy's deal," decreed Brooke.
Tuesday
Bridget asked Nick to put the divorce papers away. She didn't believe everything they had was ruined by one mistake. Nick couldn't give up on them! Nick owed her this! The hell he did, retorted Nick. Happiness wasn't an option for him. Facts come before feelings, and he would never raise another man's child. Saying Owen would make a good father to her baby, he ordered, "Sign the papers." A tearful Bridget picked up the pen and signed. Then she removed her wedding ring and placed it on top of the papers. "Take care of yourself," said Nick.
Steffy told Hope that her modeling career demeans Phoebe's life. Why can't the Logans build their own lives? The name on the door is Forrester. "My mom married your dad," responded Hope. "Where else should I be?" It's not Hope's fault, snarked Steffy. Hope shouldn't even exist when you consider how she came into this world. "I'm sorry," said a clearly stung Hope. So am I, spit Steffy. Miss Simmons from the school in Boston called Hope to ask again if she would reconsider attending college there. Rick and Hope discussed how much the college wants her. Rick got a text from Amber, who was back in town.
Brooke and Oliver argued over whether to take Steffy's deal. Brooke said they have to take it to avoid hurting Hope. Oliver maintained that Hope will never believe he wants her to leave town. Why couldn't they just tell Ridge and Hope the truth? Because Steffy would plaster Hope's whole life story all over the Internet! Steffy entered. Can't we talk about this? pleaded Brooke. No, said Steffy. She's has had a front row seat to Brooke's depraved behavior her entire life -- she's done. It would be best for Hope to go to that "artsy college back east" and forget about Oliver. Either way, Hope would have to leave town. She could either do it proudly with a scholarship, or head down dying of embarrassment. "Do we have an agreement?" asked Steffy.
Jackie and Owen took a bath together. Jackie thanked Owen for giving her a life away from the one she had with only her son Nicky for so long. Bridget showed up with news of the divorce. Jackie invited Bridget to move in. Bridget was giving Owen the baby he wanted so badly; the one Jackie couldn't give him. They were about to become much more than a family....
Wednesday
Aggie helped Hope prepare dinner for Oliver at his home. Hope looked forward to doing something special for him. The ladies giggled about him having pork rinds in his pantry. Aggie stated that Oliver is lucky to have Hope, but Hope replied that she's the lucky one. Agnes asked Hope about her college plans, but Hope wasn't anxious to leave L.A.
Ridge flashbacked to Brooke promising not to be involved in any scandals. Stephanie interrupted his thoughts and noted that Steffy had said that something was going on with Brooke. Ridge implored his mom to leave his wife alone and wanted to keep the peace between Hope and Steffy. Steph, of course, blamed Brooke for the situation and Ridge kicked his mom out of his bedroom.
At Forrester, Steffy debated telling Ridge about Brooke and Oliver's tryst, but didn't want to hurt Ridge. Steffy believed that Hope would be better off in college instead of at the company and was determined to drive out the Logans. Brooke was willing to let Steffy take charge and leave, provided that Steffy left Hope alone and didn't make the young woman leave town. When Brooke called Hope Steffy's sister, Steffy snapped that her only sister was Phoebe and she'd died, thanks to Brooke's son. Brooke refused to force her daughter to leave, but Oliver was ready to accept the terms so that Hope wouldn't find out what they did. Steffy gave them until tomorrow and insisted that Hope leave for Boston. Stephanie soon entered and sensed the tension. Steph asked if Steffy had something on Brooke and Oliver; Steffy happily told her that Brooke and Hope were gone. Stephanie wanted the details, but was still pleased to see Brooke pay the price for whatever she did.
A shirtless Ridge lit candles and prepared for a romantic evening with Brooke. He was determined to work out their problems.... Oliver returned home and found Hope and her dinner waiting for him, while Brooke went home to her surprise from Ridge. Ridge kissed her passionately and asked if she had something she wanted to tell him.... Hope looked forward to spending time with Oliver, but he obviously wasn't into it. He admitted that his day had been "crazy." Hope shared that she got a call from the college in Boston and they'd begged her to accept the scholarship. She wasn't planning to accept it, though. Oliver urged her to go to Boston.... Ridge continued to press Brooke to share what's bothering her. She answered that she's leaving Forrester. Ridge was shocked and blamed Stephanie and Steffy. Brooke told him not to blame them. Ridge demanded that she tell him the truth behind her decision.
Thursday
Ridge was shocked by Brooke's announcement, that she's leaving Forrester. She explained that she has to do it. Ridge pressed her to know why. Brooke replied that he can now run the company with Steffy. Ridge wanted Brooke to stay at Forrester and suspected that Steffy and Stephanie have been pressuring her to get out. She admitted it and he couldn't understand why she was giving up. Brooke explained that with her around, there would never be peace in his family. "You belong at Forrester," he insisted. He asked her to look him in the eyes and say that she wanted to leave, but she couldn't do it. Brooke still insisted on leaving the company. "Just let me go," she whispered. Ridge thought that there was more to her story, but Brooke asked if they could stop talking about it. He acknowledged that she's been under a lot of stress since her mother's death and agreed to support her decision.
Meanwhile, Hope was surprised when Oliver urged her to go to college in Boston. "Sometimes life takes us in a different direction," he stated. Hope didn't understand why he wanted her to go and didn't want to be with her. He declared his love for her and said that he doesn't want to hold her back. Hope concluded that this had something to do with Steffy. He replied that he didn't want her to waste an opportunity and offered to take her to Boston. Hope wasn't pleased with the idea of being so far away from him, but he promised that he'd always love her. She promised to think about it.... At Forrester, Steffy informed Thomas that there is no more Hope For The Future campaign. Thomas wondered what his sister was up to. Steffy simply stated that she was getting the Logans out of Forrester. Later, Steffy called her dad and he informed her that Brooke is leaving the company. Steffy asked to speak with Brooke and reminded her that Hope has to be out, too.
On his boat, Nick sadly tied some knots for the anchor. Jackie interrupted him and he lamented that his marriage is over -- then warned that she soon could be going through the same thing. Jackie answered that she's not going to leave Owen and was going to work on her marriage. Nick was incredulous and predicted that Owen is going to leave her for Bridget. Meantime, at Owen's, Bridget came upon a shirtless and sweaty Owen working out. She said that she wanted some advice on her pregnancy ... from Jackie. Owen offered to look over a baby catalogue with her in Jackie's place. Owen asked what she's hoping for and Bridget said she'd like a girl. She became sad when she noted that she'd thought that she'd be going through all of this with Nick.... Nick warned Jackie that Owen was going to be a devoted father to Bridget's child and didn't think that Jackie and Owen had a chance. "Our love is real," Jackie shot back and didn't appreciate Nick urging Bridget to "Go for it" with Owen.... Owen asked Bridget how she really feels about him being the baby's father. She admitted that she hadn't told that many people the truth and is going through a difficult time with the loss of her marriage. Owen hugged her and promised that everything would work out.
Friday
Brooke and Ridge went to Forrester so she could announce her resignation. Ridge asked if she was really prepared to leave. "I have to," she said.
Meanwhile, Steffy cornered Oliver and asked if he dumped Hope. He asked her to drop it and wondered if him dating Steffy would really make her life better. "It's worth a shot," Steffy shrugged. Ollie warned that she could become bitter and angry like her grandmother. Steffy still insisted that he dump Hope and believed that Hope would find someone new in college. Stephanie joined Steffy and Steffy said that she was positive that Brooke was going to quit. "I want Forrester to be back the way it used to be," Steffy said. After, Eric, Rick, Steph, Thorne and Steffy joined Brooke and Ridge and Brooke announced that she's resigning. Everyone was shocked. Eric pleaded with her to just take some time off instead, but Brooke insisted on quitting for good. Steffy smiled to herself. After, Brooke took her belongings with her and ran into Steph and Steffy outside. Stephanie was ecstatic to see Brooke going. Stephanie believed that Steffy had something on Brooke. Still, she was grateful to have the company back in the Forresters' hands.
Hope stopped by Oliver's and said that she's going to go to Boston. She asked if he'd help her settle in and was determined to make their long-distance relationship work. Ollie promised that he'd be thinking of her and they kissed. Later, Oliver called Brooke and told her that Hope is leaving town. Brooke relayed the news to Steffy. Steffy was pleased that her blackmail against Brooke and Hope had worked and was proud to have freed the company of Logans. "Now my family is back in control," she crowed. "I'm sorry it had to be this way."
At Owen and Jackie's, Bridget joined them for breakfast. Jackie informed them that she saw Nick and that he was in bad shape. She then shared Nick's belief that Owen would leave her -- and that Nick is encouraging Bridget to be with Owen. Owen stated that he wants to be with Jackie and loves her. Jackie believed that Owen could be a good husband to her and a good father to Bridget's baby. After, Bridget cleaned up and Owen asked if he and Jackie were okay. "We're okay," she replied and insisted that she's secure in their marriage. Bridget looked on, uncomfortable, as they kissed. Later, Jackie left for work, leaving Owen and Bridget alone. He invited her to go to work with him, but she refused. He asked Bridget what was wrong and embraced her. She lamented being single and pregnant and complained that she's lonely. Owen reminded her that she has him and Jackie.
Brooke slowly walked away from the Forrester offices, flashing back to her memories there. Ridge joined her and she admitted that walking away was harder than she thought. "I had no choice," she sighed. Steffy and Stephanie watched the scene from above, satisfied that they'd gotten their way.
