At the hospital, Donna sat vigil at Eric's bedside. When Bridget came in, Donna claimed she couldn't sleep because she's too worried about him. Bridget surmised that Donna couldn't rest because she fired everyone at Forrester Creations. Donna stood by her decision, adding that she's just doing what's best for Eric's company. Donna tearfully plead for Eric to wake up.

Having slept in, Ridge and Brooke canoodled in bed and made plans to hop in the shower together before visiting Eric in the hospital. Ridge added that he enjoys being home to spend more time with her and the kids and admitted that he admires Donna's tenacity in attempt to protect Eric. Later, Ridge told Brooke to go to the office first to talk to Donna, adding that her presence might ensure that her sister won't run the entire company into the ground. Brooke vowed to do her best; Ridge lovingly thanked her for keeping him sane.

At Forrester Creations, Pam confronted Owen, who was rearranging things on Eric's desk for Donna's arrival (her first official day as a CEO). Pam scoffed when Owen tried to threaten her and advised her to cooperate with her new boss. Later, Owen welcomed Donna and continued to advise her on business affairs, reassuring her that she didn't go too far by firing Ridge. "How do you always know the right thing to say to me?" she asked and thanked him for his support. Owen worked his shallow charms, asking Donna to show him her beautiful smile; she couldn't resist. When Marcus arrived, he was concerned for Donna after he found out that someone had broken into the
house and trashed it. Owen explained that he had the alarm code changed, but didn't report the break-in to the police. When Donna departed for a meeting with her staff, Marcus called Owen out on trying to manipulate his mom. The duo exchanged some harsh words and Owen angrily admitted that he's "freaking crazy" about Donna, to which Marcus spat, "What? That's whack!"

Ridge arrived at the hospital where Bridget was taking Eric's vitals. There was no change in his condition. Bridget explained her shock and dismay at Donna's recent actions at Forrester Creations. Ridge sat down at Eric's bedside and gave a heartfelt plea for his father to come back because his family needs him.

Donna met with her staff, who said they were in shock about the sudden reorganization of the company. She tried her best to assuage their fears, saying it's only temporary and everything will be back on track when Eric returns. adding "Let's rock and roll!" Brooke showed up and told her sis that she's not really interested in helping her out with the company. Donna begged her to change her mind. After, Brooke hightailed it to the hospital and tried to comfort emotionally wrecked Bridget. After chatting with her
sis, Donna returned upstairs to find Marcus and Owen in the middle of their argument. Marcus demanded that Owen reveal the truth to her, so Owen admitted that he's got the hots for her. Marcus blasted Owen for trying to seduce a married woman. Owen and Donna stepped aside to talk it over. Owen confessed that he didn't expect much when he first came to L.A., but that she changed his outlook and her beauty makes everything else pale in comparison.
