Monday
At Forrester, as Taylor looked on, Ridge told Brooke that he'd been pushed too far. Brooke tried to reason with him about Katie picking Hope's campaign over Steffy's but Ridge felt like Thomas and Steffy were being "kicked to the sidelines." And if so, what was he doing here at the 'family' company? In Katie's office, Hope said she didn't want to be part of a vendetta against Steffy and the Forresters. Katie insisted she had no agenda. Hope reluctantly agreed to keep working and do a test shoot for Hope For the Future. Katie reminded Steffy that it was her job, as head of PR, to promote the line. Meanwhile, Ridge insisted to Brooke that Katie has an agenda. She was hurt by his reaction. He assured her that he loves Hope but for her to get this gig on the first day on the job was a bit much. Brooke urged him to at least take a look at the test shoot and give Hope a chance. Katie introduced Hope to Graham, her photographer. As they got set up, Brooke talked to Katie about the campaign shenanigans and worried what Hope was getting into. Meanwhile, Taylor praised Ridge for taking a strong position with Brooke and Steffy burst in to complain about Hope some more. Ridge said they'd find a way to deal with this: "My children are not going to be shut out!" he swore. As Graham praised Hope for a job well done, Brooke questioned Katie's motives. Katie kept swearing she was just trying to capture the youth market. "Taylor is making this a battle about daughter versus daughter," sighed Brooke. Alone with Ridge, Taylor insisted Brooke and Katie were biased. Ridge pointed out, "Any parent would be." Where did this leave Ridge? Trapped in the middle yet again! "You're in a no-win situation," sighed Taylor. "You just don't deserve it, Ridge." She comforted him with a hug.
At Jackie M, Whip reeled, realizing the photo shoot he'd set Sandy up with had led to her rape. But he was glad that his cousin was able to talk about it now. She cited Nick's help and support as the reason and Whip noted the light in her eyes. Sandy said she's healing, and sees more possibilities in life — like falling in love. When Whip wondered if she meant Nick, Sandy got defensive, reminding him that Nick is married and in love with Bridget. All she felt was gratitude! On cue, Nick walked in. They changed the subject to the rape investigation. Sandy wanted to find the perp and put him away so he couldn't ever hurt another woman. They talked about the party where Sandy had been attacked. It had been thrown by a photographer named Graham, who was now pretty famous in the industry. Nick looked up Graham as Sandy pointed out the guy likely wouldn't remember that night. Whip pointed out that calling the guy couldn't hurt. When Nick found Graham's Web site, his picture rattled Sandy. She flashed back to posing for a photo, but, shaken, insisted Graham couldn't possibly be her attacker. "I don't remember...I don't know..." she whispered.
Tuesday
Taylor and Ridge were upset to see Steffy pushed aside by Hope. Ridge didn't believe it was planned by Brooke and neither did Taylor. Taylor thought Katie might have something to do with the debacle. Eric and Thorne showed up. Taylor left and Ridge explained the situation. "The Logans strike again," Steffy said sarcastically. "It's all about Hope's line," she added, suggesting that Hope's idea was chosen because her last name is Logan. Ridge was clearly frustrated. Eric warned Ridge to be careful. "This could cause a huge strain on your relationship," he said. Brooke paid a visit to her husband, explaining that Katie really thought Hope's pics were fabulous. "Just give her a chance," she begged. "Please don't make this about the Forrestersagainst the Logans," she said. It was hard not to, replied Ridge, adding that Katie was treating the Forresters very badly. Brooke disagreed with Ridge's claim that Katie was pushing Steffy out of the company. "She's only giving Hope a fair shot. I only ask that you do the same," Brooke implored before leaving. Taylor returned to Ridge's office and reported back from her meeting with Stephanie. They agreed that they were very supportive parents.
Hope was very excited to see the proofs of her photo shoot. Katie tried to explain why she chose Hope over Steffy. Brooke made it clear that this situation puts a strain on her relationship with Ridge. The photos arrived and Katie showed them to Hope, Donna and Brooke. The pics were a big hit. Hope wished everyone was as excited as they were. Brooke explained that Ridge felt that Steffy was being pushed out.
Owen and Jackie smooched and talked about their dinner plans. Stephanie walked in on them to report that Forrester was working on a new project. Stephanie realized that Ridge was staying with the company for his children and their legacy. Taylor popped in and wanted a moment with Stephanie in private. "Brooke's at it again," Taylor said as she explained how Hope pushed Steffy's line out of consideration. A frustrated Taylor put the blame on the Logan sisters. "They are going to try to drive my children and grandchildren out of the company," Stephanie snapped. Stephanie couldn't believe that Brooke would choose her daughter over her husband.
When Hope brought Steffy a coffee, Steffy pointed out that an intern doesn't Come up with a line her first day. "You are a Logan, not an intern," Steffy said. "I want to work with you," Hope said. A chilly Steffy told Hope that she was very naive. Hope wondered if they were destined to continue the Logan/Forrester rivalry.
Stephanie charged into Brooke's office. Brooke said Taylor had no right to tell an outsider about the company's future plans. "Did you have to go after Steffy too?" Stephanie asked. "There's plenty of room here for everyone," Brooke tried to explain, insisting that this wasn't hurting her relationship. Stephanie warned Brooke that choosing her daughter over Ridge would result in one big mess.
Wednesday
Ridge arrived at Jackie M. to see his mother. He noted how peaceful it was at her office. "Because there are no Logans!" she giggled. Ridge remained stoic, saying that he had no choice but to stay at Forrester and fight for it. Stephanie disagreed, and offered him a chance to work with her at Jackie M. Ridge declined, saying that he wanted to help Steffy succeed at the company that bears her last name.
Meanwhile, at Forrester, Katie and Brooke discussed the latest developments. Katie was not happy that Taylor had spilled the secrets of their new line to the competition — Stephanie. Brooke agreed that Stephanie needed to stay out of their business — both professionally and privately. "There's only room for two in a marriage," she said emphatically.
In Katie's office, Bill flashed back to the stormy night that he had kissed Steffy. Justin interrupted his thoughts, and wondered what had Bill so distracted. "Steffy?" he guessed. Bill acknowledged that there was something about Steffy that got to him. "I don't want to be in a ten-mile radius when Ridge finds out his daughter has the hots for you," Justin retorted. Bill reassured him that he and Steffy were keeping things professional.
Steffy burst in to see Katie and confronted her about choosing Hope's campaign over hers. "Am I that big of a threat to you?" she asked. Katie claimed that Hope's campaign was innovative and solid, and that was why she was backing it. Steffy demanded that Katie not pretend her decision had anything to do with business. After leaving Katie's office, Steffy went straight to Bill to tattle that her campaign had been rejected. Katie followed her and told her husband that Steffy's campaign was stale, and that her decision was purely business. Katie explained the new campaign to Bill, who questioned her motives for changing course mid-stream. He announced that he was not sure he was ready to let the Hollywood Glamour line go. He asked Steffy to pitch her idea again. She did so in a sultry voice while locking eyes with Bill. Katie jumped in and pitched the Hope campaign to her husband and asked him to support her as CEO. Both women waited eagerly for an answer.
A young man arrived at Jackie M. looking for Sandy. Stephanie wondered how he got past security, but before he could answer, Sandy burst in and told him to "hold it right there." They hugged, and Sandy introduced him to Stephanie as her little brother, Oliver. They were very happy to see one another, as he had been out of town for a few months. He commented on how great she looked ... like her old self again. She revealed her growing baby bump, and he was stunned. He wondered who the father was, and Stephanie offered to get him a drink ... as the tale of her pregnancy was a complicated one. Sandy glowed as she described the new direction her life had taken. Oliver recalled the scrappy tomboy his sister was as a child. He told her how proud he was of her for doing something so selfless for another couple.
Back at Forrester, Ridge found Brooke in his office. He announced that he had had enough of Bill Spencer and threw his Spencer Publications coffee cup into the wall. Brooke winced as it smashed into pieces. The marrieds argued over Ridge's obsession with taking control of the company back. "I'll be damned if my dream is going to be stolen by Bill or your sister!" he snapped. Brooke insisted that she would never let anything come between them ever again. "Unfortunately, the battle lines are drawn, and it's your daughter against mine," Ridge grumbled. Brooke described her dream of everyone working closely together, but Ridge shot it down as impossible. "No matter how much you do the math, it's still your family versus mine," he said sadly.
Thursday
Brooke begged Ridge not to let this latest family/business conflict come between them. Ridge needed her support. Brooke said he had it, assuring him she'd do anything for him. They went back and forth over the Hope/Steffy issue and Katie's agenda and solved their arguments like they always do: by getting busy! In Katie's office, she made her position on Hope For the Future clear. Steffy turned to Bill, asking if he really wanted to place the company's future in the hands of a teenage girl. Bill seemed to agree with Steffy, but he then directed her to promote Hope's line, not her own! Steffy was horrified. Later, Bill caught her tearing up. At Brooke's, Katie told Donna that she's fighting for her company and her marriage. But she refused to keep feeling insecure about Steffy and her unsubtle plays for Bill. Back at Forrester, Steffy confided in Bill and suggested he put her in charge of the company and make her dad CEO. The company was "a part of our soul," she insisted. The very idea amused him. Meanwhile, post-coital Ridge worried to Brooke about Steffy. "I'm taking this company back," he swore. "By any means necessary."
At Taylor's, she caught Whip studying a photo of her and Ridge. She handed him some coffee and they chatted about her "roommate," Stephanie. Taylor admitted she'd enjoyed Whip's company these last few weeks. Whip checked to make sure no one would be home in a while and then suggested a "game," where he played doctor and she was the patient! "I'm going to be the psychiatrist," he elaborated, urging her to lay down on the couch. He adopted a silly accent and grabbed a pad of paper, asking her what she's feeling. She ended up being very honest, revealing how worried she is about Ridge and Steffy. She also kvetched about the Logans. Whip wondered if she was encouraged by the Brooke/Ridge division over their daughters, since she's still in love with Ridge. The evening came to an end with Whip telling Taylor that she deserves someone who really cares about her. They hugged and then he kissed her!
Friday
Brooke and Ridge smooched and were eager to get home. Brooke ruined the mood by telling him that her sisters were coming over for dinner. Ridge was upset. "I know the timing is not great," she said. "I can not break bread with Katie," he replied.
Brooke got home and found her sisters in the living room. Katie realized Ridge didn't want to have dinner with her. Donna suggested Brooke call Ridge and convince him to join them. It was awkward. "Could you please just try," she whispered in the phone. Ridge couldn't answer and stayed in his car. "I can't handle this. It can't go on this way," he said to himself. Brooke was disappointed that Ridge didn't join them. Katie wondered if they could get over this rift. "Ridge is trying," Brooke insisted. Brooke hinted that she thought Taylor was fanning the flames. Brooke added that all couples have challenges and didn't think Ridge would turn to Taylor help.
Stephanie popped in on Taylor. Taylor felt bad for Ridge and the pressure he was under. Stephanie told Taylor about her conversation with Brooke, warning her that she was putting her marriage in jeopardy. Ridge called Taylor explaining that he can't get out of his car. "I need you to help me make it stop," he said. Taylor tried to help him get past his anger toward Katie. He admitted to having violent thoughts. Taylor tried to explain what he was going through. "You could come here if you want," Taylor suggested. Ridge took her up on it. He said he was finally seeing things clearly and was grateful to have Taylor, such a calming presence in his life. Ridge declared he had made a mistake and his marriage was over again. Taylor said it made her upset when he said these things. Ridge took Taylor's face in his hands and started to kiss her.
Graham showed Hope the proofs of her photo shoot at the coffee house. Steffy walked in on them. "So Hope, you are calling meetings now?" she snarked. Hope explained that it was Graham's meeting. Steffy said that as head of PR, she had to make sure Hope for the Future would be a big success. Hope caught Oliver's eye and smiled. Graham had to run off and left the two young women together. Steffy liked all of the photos. Oliver came over to the table. Steffy wondered if he was coming on to them. He explained he was the temporary DJ and needed business to increase so he could keep the job.
