Monday
At Insomnia, Taylor spied Nick and Brooke chatting at a corner table. Brooke
was concerned about whether Taylor was capable of caring for baby Jack. Nick
defended Taylor's mothering skills. Taylor's eyes narrowed as she overheard
their conversation. Nick promised Brooke that everything would be fine, but
Brooke wasn't sure. After he left, Taylor approached Brooke and demanded
that Brooke stay away from her husband. Brooke tried to be understanding,
but Taylor didn't believe that Brooke was really concerned for her. "You are
disgusting!" Taylor yelled. "You ruined my life." Brooke's main concern was
Jack, but Taylor simply told her to go to hell. Brooke reminded her rival
that she'd given her a "gift" in regards to the baby. This infuriated Taylor
even more.
At Nick's, Jackie took care of Jack and wondered where Nick was. He soon
returned home just as Jackie put the baby to sleep. Nick asked where Taylor
was, but Jackie wasn't sure. Nick then revealed that Taylor had been
implanted with Brooke's egg, and Jack was Brooke's biological child. Jackie
was shocked, but was ultimately pleased that Brooke was the mother of Nick's
child. Meanwhile, baby Jack's mobile tinkled out a very familiar tune. Nick
insisted that his life is with Taylor, and not with Brooke. Jackie wondered
if Taylor could handle Brooke being the bio mother, and whether Taylor could
even be a good parent to Jack.
At Insomnia, Brooke was worried about how out of it Taylor seemed,
especially when Taylor referred to Jack as a "disaster." Taylor amended
herself, explaining that she meant the event was a disaster, but not the
baby himself. Brooke noted how blessed Taylor is to have such a beautiful
son; Taylor admitted that she's been having a difficult time moving past
everything. Taylor then blamed Bridget for causing all of her problems, and
insinuated that Brooke and her daughter plotted everything. Brooke denied
this and urged her to enjoy her life with Nick and Jack. "Get a grip and
take control of yourself," said Brooke. Taylor began panting hard and
clutching her chest; Brooke called for an ambulance. Taylor then collapsed.
Tuesday
After her fainting spell, Taylor insisted to Brooke that she was okay....
Ridge made arrangements for a romantic evening alone with Brooked and
awaited her arrival.... Jackie lectured Nick that if Taylor can’t take care
of her grandchild, then perhaps it’s time for Brooke to step in. Just then,
Taylor and Brooke entered the room and Brooke mentioned Taylor’s collapse.
Jackie and Nick were very concerned but Taylor brushed off its significance.
Once alone with Nick, Brooke told him that Taylor really wigged out and he
should keep a close eye on her. While chatting with Taylor, Jackie secretly
wondered whether Taylor would be a capable mother to the baby. She strongly
advised Taylor to take care of herself — for her sake and the sake of the
child. Nick wanted to talk but Taylor stated that she needed to lie down.
Brooke returned home to Ridge where he opened the wine. Brooke voiced her
concern for Taylor. When Ridge suggested it was stress, Brooke said, “No,
she is losing it. She had a meltdown.” Ridge said that Nick will make sure
Taylor gets all the help she needs. “Now, make an honest man out of me,” he
said with a kiss. Ridge insisted they look ahead to their next wedding and
their future together.
Jackie went straight to Nick to complain about Taylor. He said his hands
were tied. She then wondered aloud if Baby Jack needed Brooke to be his
mother. Jackie called Brooke her son’s true passion and begged him to pursue
Brooke and become the family that they should be. Nick pondered his mother’s
words.
Wednesday
Brooke couldn't stop thinking about Taylor's meltdown. "I'm really worried
about her," Brooke fretted to Ridge and suggested that they reach out to
Taylor, but he advised her to let Nick handle his own wife.
Jackie started harping about Brooke again to Nick. "She is your soul mate!"
Jackie declared. "You go to her before she marries Ridge and it's too late!"
Nick walked out on his mother's ravings and went upstairs to check on
Taylor. She felt bad for falling apart, but assured Nick that she wanted to
be a good mother. Nick urged his wife to stop beating up on herself and she
was "strong and capable." A buoyed Taylor vowed to get better and they had
sex.
Jackie rushed over to Brooke's house. "We need to talk about Jack," Jackie
announced and revealed that she knew that Jack was Brooke's biological
child. Jackie also blabbed that she was concerned for Jack because of
Taylor's emotional issues. "It's just a matter of time before she slips over
the edge," Jackie noted but Brooke was confident that Nick will protect his
son. Jackie explained that Brooke's place is with Nick, but Ms. Logan argued
her future is with Ridge. Jackie said she would be honored to have Brooke
for a daughter-in-law, unlike Stephanie.
Ridge confided in Ashley that Taylor had a horrible run-in with Brooke. He
feared for Taylor's ability to properly care of Jack. Ashley could see
Brooke's perspective and suggested that Ridge be patient. Ash then found it
ironic that Ridge dumped her to be with Brooke, but things weren't "going so
smoothly."
Nick called Brooke to let her know that Taylor was doing much better. Brooke
still worried about Jack and said she "ached" for the baby. "our little guy
is too important to me," Brooke stated. Meanwhile, Taylor eyed a bottle of
booze and became really tempted. She poured some in her coffee and lifted
the cup to her lips.
Thursday
Nick was surprised to find Taylor suddenly in a good mood. After he left,
she stared at her booze-laden cup of coffee. Even when she strapped Jack
into his stroller, the mug of tainted java kept calling out to her. Taylor
wasn't pleased when Brooke showed up unannounced and suggested they put
their rivalry behind them "once and for all" for Jack's sake. Taylor
resented Brooke's interference and became even more upset. Brooke then
smelled alcohol and sniffed Taylor's telltale coffee. "Have you been
drinking?" Brooke gasped, but Taylor claimed she didn't partake. When Brooke
left a voicemail for Nick that his wife was drinking again, Taylor became
emotional and screamed at Brooke to get out. After Brooke supposedly
departed, Taylor went into another room but Brooke slipped back in, grabbed
Jack and ran off. Taylor discovered her child was gone and became hysterical
when she saw Brooke drive off. "Come back here with my baby!" Taylor
screeched.
Donna and Katie were surprised when Storm walked into Brooke's house. He
explained that Dad was anxious to make amends with their mom and Storm felt
in the way. He said he would get counseling in L.A. but wanted to thank
Stephanie for his freedom. Once he learned she was in Chicago, Storm left to
get rest after his long flight back from Paris. Katie pushed her sister to
dump Eric before Stephanie returns. Eric called Donna and she asked him if
they could talk. They agreed to meet later at his hotel suite. After hanging
up, Katie offered to help Donna come up with a plan. Donna revealed that she
lied to Eric that she is a sex addict so Katie suggested that Eric catch
Donna with another man.
Jackie couldn't stop thinking about the state of Nick's marriage. When Nick
arrived, Jackie could see that her son was tense and upset but he said
everything is fine. Jackie predicted that Taylor would continue to be
haunted by Brooke's connection to Jack but Nick defended his wife.
Donna lured Jake to Eric's hotel room and started making out with him on the
sofa. "What the hell is going on here?" Eric demanded.
Friday
"Taylor is the woman I'm in love with," Nick impressed upon his mother but
Jackie continued with her broken-record routine that his destiny lied with
Brooke. They were interrupted when a flustered Brooke rushed in with Jack in
her arms. Nick asked what was going on and Brook explained that she smelled
booze in Taylor's coffee. Taylor burst in and calmly asked Jackie to take
Jack out. Once that was done, Taylor became unhinged and told Brooke that
Jack "is my baby. Do you hear me? My baby." Nick asked Taylor if she had
been drinking and she confessed that she was tempted but was able to stop
herself. A rattled Taylor blamed everything wrong in her life on Brooke and
told Nick to make her leave but he countered that his wife should be
thanking Brooke."You're taking her side?" whined an incredulous Taylor and
blasted Nick for not supporting his own wife. Brooke offered to help Taylor
cope but Mrs. Marone ordered her to "stay away from my family."
Jake made a hasty exit as Donna explained to Eric that she had no control
"over my desires." Eric was disappointed and Donna said he deserved someone
more classy than her. Eric surmised that their age difference was the cause
of her unrest but Donna tearfully insisted she was an uncontrollable sex
addict. "Goodbye, Eric," Donna sobbed. "I will always love you." Donna tried
to leave but Eric stopped her. He realized that she was deliberately trying
to sabotage their relationship and asked why. Donna didn't have an answer so
Eric took her in his arms and said there was nothing she could do and say
that he wouldn't forgive. Donna broke down in tears and they ended up in
bed.
Jackie called Bridget and asked her to come over to Spectra as soon as
possible. After Jackie hung up, she cooed to her grandson, "You should be
with your real mommy."
