Bold and Beautiful Recaps
B&B Week of February 14, 2011
Monday
Dayzee pulled away from Thomas' impulsive kiss and asked him why he'd done it. He said he got "caught up," because of the amazing things she'd done with the Insomnia Café, turning it into Dayzee's. Dayzee still didn't get it. Thomas lauded her for being caring and generous and kept looking at her with stars in his eyes. He apologized for the surprise smooch and got her to smile. "Marcus is a lucky guy!" he told her, promising to get her T-shirts designed ASAP.
At the hospital, all eyes were on Amber and her paternity test results.
Ramon opened them and read them: "Your son is the father of this baby," he regretfully told Bill. Amber smiled a triumphant smile as Bill demanded the test be run again. Volcanic, he put Justin and Katie on looking into a
second opinion. As for Hope, she flipped, shouting at Amber. Then, Brooke called Amber "an evil, manipulative person." Later, Amber and a celebratory Carl and Tawny came back to the trailer. Amber wasn't so jubilant. "I ruined a lot of lives today," she acknowledged, sadly. Tawny pointed out that there was one life she'd saved today: that of her child. "You stuck up for your baby today," she said. As Amber chowed down on chips, Tawny tried to get her to think of how the baby wouldn't want for anything. Team Spencer, meanwhile, came back to the beach house. Bill continued to rage, saying Amber "raped my son" and was now trying to bilk him. Hope and Liam sat by the window, sad and quiet, trying to process what the paternity test meant for them. Later, Bill took Liam outside and told him they'd "make this problem go away...by writing Amber a sizable check" so that she would "do the right thing." Did Liam want to be tied to "that skank" for the rest of his life? Liam didn't want to walk out on his own child. Inside, Brooke refused to let what happened to Rick happen to Hope. Alone, Hope and Liam couldn't wrap their heads around any of it. Then Brooke, with Bill and Katie in tow, came inside and told them that, in her mind, "there is only one thing that you can do."
Tuesday
At the Spencer beach house, Brooke urged Liam and Hope to "take a step back and reevaluate" their relationship. "You're telling me to break up with
Liam?" Hope surmised. Brooke admitted she sounded harsh, but she reminded
them all, "Where Amber goes, misery follows." Liam and Hope held each other,
rattled. At Tawny's trailer, she was dreaming of dollar signs while Amber
continued to wallow in guilt. "You've done enough!" she finally told her
mother, instructing her to pack her bags and leave. Amber assured Tawny
she'd be fine; everything would work out. Back at the beach house, Bill and
Brooke argued about Amber and their kids. Bill stormed off to deal with
Amber. Inside, Liam promised to do right by both Hope and his baby. He swore
Hope would be at the top of his priority list.
Bill came to Amber's trailer, asking what it would take to take care of this
problem. He wanted things "handled" (meaning an abortion). Amber wondered if
Liam knew Bill was doing this, and then she told him that she didn't care
what he offered, she wouldn't buckle. Bill said he wasn't making an offer,
he was telling her. Amber stood firm...at least until Bill backed her
into sitting in a chair. He warned her that all she stood to gain from his
family was "misery and stress." Back at Casa Spencer, Liam told Hope he had
nine months to figure out how to be a father. Right now he needed to focus
on holding on to Hope! He kissed and hugged her, and she clung to him
tightly. Outside, Katie and Brooke were talking when Nick called Katie about
a gorgeous house that his friend was selling. He'd thought of her and Bill,
so she left to go take a look at it. Bill and Amber, meanwhile, kept going
toe-to-toe. "You have no idea who you are screwing with!" Bill warned a smug
Amber.
Wednesday
Steffy came into Forrester Creations fresh from Paris! Hope ended up explaining the entire Liam/Amber situation to her. Steffy was baffled, noting Amber was "way out of her league" with Bill. Hope joked that Steffy could give Amber pointers on how to handle Bill. Steffy acknowledged that she and Bill were very similar, and they had similar goals when it came to protecting their families. "Knowing Bill the way I do, he's going to have the upper hand," Steffy asserted.
Bill offered Amber $500,000 to go away. When she kept taunting him, he almost rushed at her, but a phone call from Katie interrupted him. The house in the hills she was looking at was gorgeous and she wanted him to come see it ASAP. He told Katie he'd be there soon, and then issued Amber a heated warning. Later, Amber printed out a photo of Liam and Bill...and Brooke dropped by for a chat. Amber shrugged off what this situation had done to Hope. Brooke brought up the Rick situation again, and then warned Amber about going toe-to-toe with Bill. Out at the new house, Katie thanked Nick and then greeted Bill with a kiss. Bill promised her that he'd deal with Amber. Katie urged him to forget about Amber and enjoy the fresh, ocean air. Nick then talked to them about the house and the property, noting it was a secluded and a bit of a fixer-upper. Back at the trailer, Amber assured Brooke that she and her baby aren't going anywhere. Brooke sarcastically wished her luck and again warned her about Bill. Back at the new Malibu property, Katie noted how high up from the beach they were. Bill admired the plunge...and thought about Amber looking at the same view.
Thursday
At Forrester, Steffy reunited with her parents and Thomas. As they teased her about her adventures, she admitted she had her eye on someone. Then,
Brooke walked in, and the snarking began! When Steffy mentioned catching up
with Hope earlier, Brooke said she wanted to be the one to break all
of that news. She explained the whole paternity mess and they all worried
about the impact on Hope. Then, Thomas got a call from Dayzee and they
decided to meet up later at the coffeehouse. He came back into Ridge's
office and he and Steffy traded some sibling-y insults. Brooke, meanwhile,
was still worried about Hope and Liam.
Liam came by Amber's trailer to ask her "how the hell this happened."
Elsewhere, Rick, Oliver and Hope were doing a photo shoot. Since Hope wasn't
really feeling it, Rick asked Oliver to talk to Hope and get through to her.
Hope confided in Ollie about Amber's baby being Liam's. She wanted to wake
up and realize all of this was a bad dream...but she knew Liam wasn't going
to abandon his child. That meant Amber was going to be a part of her life!
Hope wondered why a guy couldn't love her without complications. Oliver
hugged her and comforted her...and urged her to cut Liam loose. Naturally,
he offered himself up as an alternative! "I think we deserve a second
chance," he said, kissing her. Back at the trailer, Liam asked Amber why
she'd climbed into bed with him. She claimed she was "lonely" and
"desperate." Liam boggled at the idea of someone being so lonely that they'd
break into an apartment and climb into bed with an unconscious person. Amber
skirted around the details, being defensive. Liam warned her that he wasn't
going to marry her. Amber insisted the only thing that was important was her
baby. Liam pointed out that Bill hadn't adopted him yet; he has no money of
his own, so that baby isn't a Spencer. It's a Cooper! They kept going a few
rounds, and Liam warned Amber to stay away from Hope. Watching her shiver
while they argued, Liam went to look for the heat. Amber was touched by his
concern, saying he was a really great guy. She went outside to go light the
pilot light...and when she struck a match, the entire trailer went kaboom!
Friday
The trailer exploded and Amber shouted Liam’s name, frantically. She quickly dialed 911 on her cell phone. At Spencer Publications, Katie discussed the
Malibu cliff house with Bill, raving about the view. The wheels were
definitely turning in Bill's mind as he noted Amber was "sick and
dangerous." He then admitted that his first instinct after the paternity
test results had come in had been to hug his son. Why hadn't he? Because he
was still new to these kinds of emotions. "I just don't know how to do
that," he said of hugging his kid. Katie urged him to reach out to Liam the
next time they saw each other. "There'll be plenty of time for the mushy
stuff, right?" mused Bill, before "practicing" on Katie by pulling her
close. Back at the trailer, Amber pulled Liam out of the smoke. Liam was
then rushed to the hospital, where Amber wept and paced. She called
Bill from Liam's phone and told him to get there. Bill and Katie hightailed
it! Amber explained the accident and what the doctors had said about Liam's
condition. An ashen Bill said he held Amber responsible for what happened.
Later, Dr. Montgomery emerged and updated Bill, saying they were hopeful
Liam would regain consciousness. Bill whispered Katie's name and seemed to
seesaw between tearing up and being furious. He stonily told Amber she could
go. Bill and Katie surmised that Amber had caused both the trailer
explosion and Liam's earlier concussion; Bill flat out accused Amber of
trying to kill his son. Then, he went in to see Liam. Katie urged Bill to
tell Liam what's in his heart. He did just that! "You need to wake up," he
told his son, trying to be all badass. That badassery fell by the wayside as
Bill crumbled to sentiment, to tears. "I really like being your dad," he
confessed, voice cracking. "I love you, son," he whispered, laying his head
on Liam's chest and crying. Then, Liam opened his eyes...
Brooke joked to Ridge about Hope and RJ only communicating via text and
Ridge texted her from his iPad to ask "Coming to bed soon?" They flirted and
then made love. Afterwards, Brooke still had her kids on the brain, and
Brooke admitted it's because she's a mom; it’s what she does. She and Ridge
talked about the whole Hope/Amber/Liam thing. "I think that Hope and Liam
will be over for good," said Brooke, regretfully. Ridge told her Hope
would be fine and they reveled in how blessed their family is. "Our kids are
happy and healthy and thriving," sighed Brooke. "The destiny we've always
talked about," Ridge agreed. They exchanged sugary sweet "I love you"s.
