Bold and Beautiful Recaps
B&B Week of December 20, 2010
Monday
Hope rushed up to Liam as he reeled from Bill's moving words about him. They shared a sweet kiss, and Hope urged him to "just be yourself" during his speech. Bill then introduced his heir to the world, with very splashy theatrics. Liam came out on stage a little overwhelmed by it all. He then took the microphone and talked about how lucky he is. "You have given me a whole new life," he praised of Bill, before they greeted the press. At the reception afterwards, Marcus, Katie, Donna and Justin remarked on Hope keeping a low profile. Then, Marcus asked Amber what she was doing lurking in a corner. "Just keeping my eyes open," she shrugged. Nearby, Liam offered to introduce Hope around, or to split from the party, but she waved him off to do his duty. He got dragged off by Bill's Spencerettes for some photos.
Bill gave Liam a pep talk and toasted to his success. Liam begrudgingly downed the champagne, saying, "I don't want to disappoint you, Dad." Meanwhile, Hope was back home, and Oliver came by to be supportive. It sort of backfired on him, since Hope came out of the chat more hopeful about Liam. After more shmoozing, Bill let an exhausted and tipsy Liam off the hook and allowed him to go home. Amber, sensing an opportunity, followed! Back at Spencer Publications, Bill and Katie celebrated the successful evening with some smooching. Liam, meanwhile, stumbled home, whacked his head, and passed out...and Amber let herself into his place! She curled up next to him, murmuring his name.
Tuesday
Liam awoke in bed with a killer headache...and a blonde! Dizzied and shocked, he mumbled, "Hope?" But the girl wasn't Hope — It was Amber. "This is not happening," he murmured, gingerly climbing out of bed and stumbling to a chair. He couldn't remember anything! "That's too bad. We had lots of fun," purred Amber. Liam couldn't figure out how he'd ended up naked and how he could've cheated on Hope. "I'm so disappointed in myself," he moaned, as a dressed Amber loomed over him. "You're out to get me!" he accused, blearily. He asked Amber not to tell Hope about any of this. He needed to be the one to do so. "My lips are sealed," she said, as Liam stumbled off to the bathroom to check his head. Alone, Amber beamed that her plan was already working: LA's most eligible bachelor thought that they'd made love. "This is such a disaster!" Liam declared when he came back into the room. Then, Hope called and the duo exchanged apologies for the night before. Hanging up, Liam was despondent that he'd screwed up his life. Amber let herself out, looking like the cat that ate the canary.
At her place, Brooke came downstairs calling Hope's name. Receiving no answer, she called Stephanie and admitted she's worried about Anthony, the kindly man she met in Skid Row. Stephanie said she'd ask Dayzee about Anthony, since she and Dayzee were meeting at Insomnia. Stephanie and Dayzee were puzzled to find Insomnia empty. CJ Garrison emerged, greeting them and telling them he was closing the joint! "I kind of figured it was time," he shrugged. Stephanie asked about Sally, and CJ smiled that, "Mom's definitely in Heaven" while on her globe-trotting adventures. The trio sat down for coffee and CJ admitted he hated having to sell. Stephanie eyed the place, a gleam in her eye. Back at Brooke's, she was still thinking about Anthony as Hope came in. Hope regretted walking out of Liam's debut bash and vented about the evening. As CJ went into the back to pack things up, Stephanie asked Dayzee about Anthony and Dayzee admitted things got tough for everyone around the holidays. Stephanie wondered if they could do something with Insomnia and create jobs for people. Was Dayzee interested in running the place? "Yes! Count me in!" she cried.
Wednesday
CJ handed the keys to Insomnia to Stephanie and they traded hugs before he wished Stephanie and Dayzee luck and made his exit. Later, Pam and Thomas helped Stephanie and Dayzee redecorate the café for Christmas and Marcus put up the new sign for "Dayzee's." Thomas suggested they have "suggested prices" on the menu, so people can just pay what they can. Dayzee and Stephanie outlined their plan for the place and how it would provide jobs for the homeless. "Every customer is going to be treated with dignity and respect," said Stephanie. When Pam pointed out they couldn't possibly open by Christmas, Stephanie revealed that the reason for all the sprucing up is that they're having Christmas dinner there as a family — with Dayzee's extended family. "We all have a lot of different gifts to share," she said, noting that she hopes anyone who walks in the door feels like "they have a little bit of heaven right in their hand."
At Brooke's, she and Katie talked about the holidays being a time to reflect and give thanks. Brooke admitted she still had everyone in Skid Row on her mind, particularly Anthony, who had been her "angel." He'd watched out for her and, "now I wonder who's watching out for him." Brooke checked in with Stephanie and Dayzee about Anthony and then decided to go downtown and look for him. "Skid Row isn't safe!" reminded Katie. Brooke spoke movingly about all the good people who existed amidst the drug dealers and dangerous elements and asked Katie to consider if she had to worry where her next meal was coming from. Katie decided to help Brooke out, suggesting that they could take some extra coats and blankets to the mission. Out and about in real Skid Row, Brooke and Katie searched for Anthony. "It's a hustle the whole livelong day," Brooke remembered Anthony saying. Brooke recognized someone from the Mission and asked after Anthony, with no luck. She and Katie kept looking. Eventually, Brooke heard Anthony's singing and it led them right to him!
Thursday
Stephanie explained to Eric, Thorne and Felicia that she had bought the coffee house from CJ and Dayzee was going to run the place. Stephanie and her family were decorating Insomnia, just renamed Dayzee's, with plans to welcome a crowd for Christmas dinner.
Brooke learned that Anthony had gotten into an argument with some guys and that's why his face was badly bruised. Katie and Brooke learned that his CDs had been stolen and his guitar had been damaged. "Not my best week," he said sadly. Katie said that her sister was determined to find him. Brooke begged him to let her take him somewhere. Ridge called and said that the family was meeting at Insomnia. Anthony wondered if they were taking about "my Dayzee." Brooke nodded. Brooke brought Anthony home and offered him some toiletries so he could take a shower. Anthony picked up Ridge's guitar. Katie came in with a stack of clothing. "You are so generous," he said. Brooke looked at Ridge's guitar and smiled.
Pam showed up with some treats at Dayzee's; she thought what Stephanie was doing was wonderful. Stephanie welcomed many of her friends from the Mission to Dayzee's. "It's a brand new start for all of us," she beamed. She added that she considered all of the guests members of her family. Ridge and Hope arrived as did Whip and Taylor, who were impressed with Stephanie's purchase of the coffee shop for Dayzee and her friends. Everyone enjoyed the holiday meal.... Whip caught Taylor under the mistletoe.... Dayzee was delighted when Anthony showed up with Brooke, but sad to see his guitar all damaged. Stephanie wanted a way to pay Anthony back for helping Brooke and immediately offered him a job. "God bless you," he said with a smile.
Stephanie thanked everyone for being there. "We've all been through a lot of difficulties ... but we are still here today in this moment," she said, then gave hugs and chatted with everyone. She was delighted to learn about the progress several of the Mission residents had made in repairing their lives.
