Bold and Beautiful Recaps

B&B Week of December 17, 2007

Monday

As the storm raged on, Brooke insisted to Storm that she doesn't believe her
brother could attempt to kill someone. She stated that she knows he has a
rocky relationship with their dad but he'd never keep their father jailed
for a crime he didn't commit. "I promise you. Justice will be done," Storm
cryptically assured. Despite her words, Brooke looked a little uncertain on
the matter. After Storm left, Brooke pulled out the picture of the hand with
the gun — and the school ring that both the Logan men share.

Ridge visited a recovering Stephanie, who lamented that she can't just sit
idly by while she loses everything. Ridge assured his mother that he knows
she didn't intentionally set out to hurt Brooke.
After Ridge left, Steph picked up a holiday memento of Eric's and reminisced
about Christmases past with her husband.

Eric assured a nervous Donna that he was not losing interest in her. He
claimed their love's right on track. Donna gave Eric a surprise — a tabletop
Christmas tree. However, she didn't get the response she'd hoped for. Eric
told Donna he's happy to be starting new holiday traditions with her. A
tearful Donna told Eric that he was where she finds peace and she treasures
having him in her life.

Brooke went to the police station to see Charlie and told the detective she
needed to see the surveillance footage and refused to leave until he
accommodated her. He complied. Brooke asked Charlie if they could zoom in on
the hand in the photo. "What if someone is setting him up?" she wondered to
the detective about Stephen. Charlie was skeptical and stated that Storm
had submitted new evidence indicating the hand in the photo undeniably
matches Stephen's. Charlie said he understood that it's hard to accept the
truth about someone you love. Brooke replied that she actually could believe
an attempted killer is in the family. As she left the police station, Storm
lurked in the waiting area, sitting in a chair with a newspaper in
front of his face.

Tuesday

Brooke reeled from the possibility that Storm could've been the shooter.
"Could you have hated our father that much?" Brooke asked herself. "There
has to be another explanation." Katie showed up and Kate revealed her
suspicion that their brother shot Stephanie (as lightning flashed, a
menacing Storm lurked outside). Katie was incredulous, so Brooke showed her
sister Storm's yearbook and how he sported the same ring as their dad.
"Storm would never take the law into his own hands," Katie pointed out. This
is crazy." Brooke said they had no choice but to confront Storm but Katie
didn't advised against it. Storm entered and asked what his sisters were
talking about. Brooke admitted that she told Katie about his class ring that
he wore around his neck. Brooke then asked Storm to put on the ring and hold
up his hand in the same position as in the photo but an upset Katie told her
sister to stop. "Did you shoot Stephanie?" Brooke asked.

Donna fondly recalled to Eric how Storm stepped in as head of the household
after their father left. Donna then decided Eric needed a "good dose of
Christmas cheer" and scampered into the other room. Ridge showed up and
voiced his concern about Stephanie's mood. Eric asked Ridge to stay behind
and tell Donna that he went to check on Stephanie. After Eric left, Ridge
took a seat and Donna came out dressed in a sexy Santa outfit. "Well... ho,
ho, ho," Ridge cracked, then he couldn't help voicing his doubt about Eric
and Donna's relationship.

Stephanie tried to decorate the Christmas tree but quit in frustration.
"What the hell am I doing this for?" she mumbled. Eric arrived and said he
was concerned about Stephanie doing all the holiday preparations on her own.
Eric was stunned when two men showed up and dragged the tree out. Stephanie
explained that she was officially canceling Christmas. "It's not what you
really want," Eric pointed out. "You love Christmas." However, Steph
suggested that Eric take the family up to the Big Bear cabin to celebrate
and escorted him out the door.

Wednesday

Felicia was alarmed when her mother announced that she won't host Christmas. "I just don't have it in me to do it this year," Stephanie
lamented. "I want to be alone." Felicia tried to change her mind, but to no
avail. Stephanie then visited Stephen in jail and urged him to confess.
"You're crazy," Stephen declared. Steph said she would ask the D.A. to make
a plea bargain if Stephen would just admit he shot her. He refused and
professed his trust in Storm proving his innocence. Stephanie then
threatened to put Stephen in the "worst penitentiary in the state."

"Tell me the truth," Brooke asked Storm. At first, he tried stonewalling,
then revealed how Stephen blamed Storm for allowing Brooke's rape to happen.
He started to seethe about how Stephen swooped in and suddenly appointed himself
family protector, a mantle Storm had nobly assumed for years. "He was
taking you away from me and I couldn't let that happen," Storm babbled, then
admitted, "I did it." He crumpled to the sofa and explained how he couldn't
tolerate the pain Stephanie had caused his sisters plus Stephen's
interference. He recounted how he was the one who turned on Jake's video
camera, then, knowing Stephanie was supposed to meet Eric in the showroom,
put on his class ring (similar to Stephen's) and shot her. He banked on Jake
eventually finding the video footage. Both Brooke and Katie were devastated
by the confession. "Please tell me you're making this up," Katie begged, but
Storm couldn't. When Brooke pointed out that their father is in jail for a
crime he didn't commit, Storm said Stephen deserves to stay there. Storm then urged them to stay mum. "I earned your
loyalty ... now it's time for you to return the favor," Storm declared.

Thursday

Storm tried to argue that Stephen should stay in jail and nobody needs to
ever know who the real shooter is. When Brooke balked, Storm reminded his
sisters of the years of his devotion to the family and begged them to "stand
behind me." Katie suggested that maybe they could wait for the outcome of
their father's trial, but Brooke urged Storm to do the right thing. "You have
to go to Dad and tell him the truth," she impressed.

Stephanie showed up at Eric's hotel room in search of her husband, she found
Donna instead. After revealing that Eric was out, Donna invited Stephanie in
and tried to make peace, La Forrester wasn't having it. Donna then
chastised Stephanie for canceling Christmas and trying to make Eric feel
guilty. Steph insisted she made her decision because she wasn't in the mood
to celebrate. "If you continue to try and win Eric back, I promise you this
could get very ugly," Donna warned. Stephanie gave her a smug smile, then
left. Eric returned and Donna related her confrontation with Stephanie.
Donna admitted that she felt insecure with his and Stephanie's long history
together. "Are you truly committed to me, Eric?" Donna asked

Brooke, Storm and Katie met with their dad in jail. Katie broke down in
tears and apologized for not believing he was innocent. Stephen assured that
everything would be okay because he knew Storm would prove he didn't shoot
Stephanie. "You're the man I should've been, Storm," Stephen proclaimed and
pulled his son into a loving hug. Of course, Storm was overwhelmed with
guilt and Brooke announced that there was a new development. After some
prodding, Storm showed his class ring, which Stephen assumed was his ring
until he saw a different year on it. "It's my ring," Storm confessed. "I
shot Stephanie Forrester. I set you up."

Friday

"I don't want you to doubt what we have," Eric assured Donna. Ridge showed
up and asked his dad to come home just for Christmas. "Unless you have a
problem with that Donna?" Ridge asked. Feeling cornered, Donna said that all
she wants is for Eric to be happy and she was all for him spending the
holidays with his family. "Have a wonderful time," she purred and Ridge
reluctantly offered his thanks. After Ridge left, Eric gave Donna a stuffed
bear with a blingy bracelet. He then revealed that he was going to ask
Stephanie for a divorce after Christmas and give Donna an engagement ring.
He was then worried that because of their age difference that she could end
up breaking his heart but Donna promised she would never hurt him.

Stephen became upset over Storm's confession. "You despise me," Stephen
acknowledged but became angry at himself for turning Storm against him. "You
were more of a father to my girls then I ever was." Storm was surprised by
his dad's self-recrimination. A great relief washed over Storm and he
confessed to his sisters that he was the one that ordered their dad to leave
all those years ago. "This is my mess," Stephen declared and said that he
was going to confess that he shot Stephanie to keep Storm out of jail. Storm
and the girls tried to reason with him, but Stephen insisted that his mind
was made up. "You're going to be safe and I'm going to make sure of it,"
Stephen promised his son and they hugged.
