"You have to know this was a horrible accident," Brooke desperately explained to Ridge while Stephanie urged her son to press charges against Rick. "He's the only to blame," Steph insisted to which Brooke vehemently disagreed. After Ridge was called away, the ladies continued their fight, with Brooke maintaining her son's innocence and Stephanie dissing Brooke's mothering skills for creating this tragedy. "You want to do the right thing
by Ridge, then you turn your son into the police," Steph huffed but Brooke countered that it's "not going to happen." Steph then ordered that Rick not only quit Forrester Creations but stay away from Phoeb'es funeral or "there will be consequences."
In front of Bridget, Rick beat himself up for Phoebe's passing. "You've got to let go of this guilt," Bridget advised. "You are not a bad person." Rick said he wasn't proud of his actions after Taylor left him but vowed to change his ways so his family can be proud of him again. After, Bridget went down to the morgue and said a tearful good-bye to Phoebe.
Taylor started blaming herself for driving Phoebe away by having a relationship with Rick. Steffy comforted her mother but Taylor insisted, "I failed her." Fearing for Taylor's emotional state, Steffy summoned Ridge. When he showed up, Steffy left the room and Taylor continued to fault herself for Phoebe's death. Ridge put the blame squarely on Rick but Taylor said what matters is that Phoebe is gone. Ridge then started claiming responsibility because he went full boor with planning his engagement party without thinking of anyone else's feelings. Ridge impressed that Taylor wasn't to blame for their daughter's demise. "I know you loved her with every ounce of your being," Ridge pointed out and Taylor recalled the very last moment she saw Phoebe. Ridge drew his ex into a comforting embrace.
Tuesday
Taylor's living room was set up for Phoebe's funeral service. "I don't know how I'm going to get through this," Taylor sobbed to herself as she looked at a photo of Phoebe surrounded by lit candles. Ridge, Thomas and Steffy arrived and were worried for Taylor's emotional state.
Donna entered Eric's office and was surprised to find him there. She conveyed her sympathies about Phoebe then hugged Eric. After he left, Donna gazed forlornly at Eric's framed photo. Meanwhile, Thorne was stunned when Grace, the model who he hired to pose as Donna, approached him for a job as a Forrester model. Thorne got upset and ordered Grace to leave at once, then headed out for Phoebe's funeral. Owen observed the curious exchange and approached Grace. He told her that she looked like someone he knows.
The funeral began and Steffy was the first to speak lovingly about her sister. "She was my closest friend," Steffy lamented. "She was the best part of me." Steffy broke down in tears and had to be escorted back to her seat by Thomas. Next, Eric remembered when a 4-year old Phoebe looked at one of his sketches and said, "You draw good, Grandpa." Stephanie then got up but had trouble trying to find the words to "say good-bye." Taylor read a scripture out loud, then sobbed how it's not right for "a parent to bury her
child" and lovingly touched Phoebe's photo. In his eulogy, Ridge offered his regrets that he couldn't protect his daughter but was thankful he got to spend the last moment of her life with her. He then clutched Phoebe's picture but didn't notice that Rick had quietly slipped in. A recording of Phoebe's singing was played as well as everyone recalled past memories. In an almost trance-like state, Rick approached her photo. "What the hell are you doing here?" Ridge demanded and ordered Brooke to remove her son. Rick broke down in tears and Brooke escorted him out as Ridge spat, "My daughter is dead because if you." After the service concluded, Brooke returned and as the family stood by, Stephanie urged Ridge not to "let that son of a bitch get away with it."
Wednesday
After Phoebe's funeral, Stephanie and Eric argued over her wanting Rick to go to jail for Phoebe's death.... Ridge asked Brooke why she didn't keep Rick away from the funeral. Brooke explained that Rick just wanted to pay his respects to Phoebe, but Ridge thought Rick was just putting on an act. Brooke believed that Rick was in mourning, but Ridge argued that Rick was just guilty. "Don't ask me to feel for Rick because I don't, and can't," Ridge choked out. Brooke promised to be there for Ridge, but he didn't know how she could help him. "I'm suffering right along with you," she said. Ridge then got a call from Steph, who invited him to come by her house. Brooke wanted to join him, but Ridge replied that Steph wanted to see him in private. Brooke knew that Stephanie wanted Rick in jail.
At Forrester, Owen suggested to Donna that they use Grace as a model for the surf line. Thorne entered and looked surprised to see the three of them there. Donna noticed the resemblance between her and Grace. After, Thorne took Grace outside and told her to go home and not return. However, Grace wanted to accept Owen's job. Thorne replied that she'd never work for Forrester. Grace asked if the "favor" she did for Thorne had something to do with Donna. Thorne offered to get Grace a position at Forrester International. Later, Owen asked Grace what was going on between her and Thorne.
Eric went to his computer and thought about Donna betraying him with Owen. Donna joined him and offered her condolences about Phoebe. She then declared her love for Eric and wished she could be with him. Eric stated that Donna has another life now. Donna replied that she has a life without him and without love, and begged him to tell her what's going on with him.
Stephanie admired a framed photo of Phoebe. Out loud, Steph muttered about how Rick was responsible for Phoebe's death. Meanwhile, Brooke continued to defend her son. Ridge assured Brooke that he would make sure Rick wasn't put behind bars. Brooke embraced him. Later, Ridge went to see Stephanie and
said that he's going to handle Rick. Stephanie still wanted to take Rick to the authorities. "If you don't do this, I don't know how you'll live with yourself for the rest of your life," she explained.
Thursday
Stephanie informed Ridge that the police couldn't move forward with bringing Rick to justice unless Ridge wanted it. "He has to be held accountable," Steph railed. Ridge expressed his hurt over losing a child, then pointed out that his mother knows that pain very well. Stephanie then remembered how her and Eric's handicapped daughter Angela died as a baby. She quickly snapped
out of that recollection to reason that the healing over Phoebe's death can only happen once Rick is arrested. "I'm angry at the whole damn world," Ridge declared but said that he wasn't going to bring charges against Rick because he wants to get past his rage. Of course Stephanie strongly disagreed with his decision. "If you let him get away with this, it will haunt you for the rest of your life," she reminded.
Donna was frustrated why Eric was holding his true emotions back from her but he angrily refused to discuss his real reasons for dumping her. His anger boiled over as he told her that he knew she was unfaithful but she insisted she has always been faithful to him. "This is over!" Eric insisted. She tearfully said she wanted to move back to San Francisco and he agreed to arrange for the private jet to take her there. Donna fled then wrote a good-bye note to Owen.
"What's going on between you and Thorne," Owen asked Grace who explained how Thorne had hired her to kiss a male model in Owen's office. She pointed out that the model resembled Owen, who put the pieces together of Thorne's plan. After Grace left, Owen confronted Thorne about his scheme. Thorne insisted
that Donna would've eventually cheated on Eric but Owen defended her. Thorne advised Owen to keep quiet or else "you'll never have her." Owen headed to Eric's office, and he wanted Knight to leave the building at once. Eric finally confessed to seeing Donna and Owen kissing via hidden camera. "It wasn't
us," Owen confessed. "Donna never stopped loving you."
Brooke urged Rick to make peace with himself but he wanted to talk to Phoebe's family. Brooke warned her son not to approach Stephanie and explained how Steph wanted to see Rick behind bars. Rick became upset by the prospect and Brooke revealed that Ridge most likely wouldn't call the cops but Stephanie was urging him to do so. After Rick left the room, Ridge came home and told Brooke that "I'm not going to pursue prosecuting Rick." A relieved Brooke broke down in tears and tearfully hugged Ridge.
Friday
Ridge told Brooke that while he isn't going to put Rick in jail, he doesn't want Rick around. He planned to send Rick to work in Paris, which Brooke wasn't thrilled with. Ridge believed that he'd be able to get his life back with Rick out of the picture, and implored Brooke to be the one to tell her son to get out of town.
Meanwhile, Rick stopped by the Forrester's house, but Stephanie wouldn't let him in. Rick noted that nothing he's done has come close to her level of abuse toward her family. "They're still alive and breathing," she sneered. Rick tried to explain himself, but Steph wouldn't let him speak. A fed-up Rick left, slamming the door. Later, Brooke asked Rick to step down as Forrester president and invited him to move to Paris. Rick was upset with this idea, but Brooke thought this would be the best for everyone. Rick was
furious that she was taking Ridge's side over his. Brooke begged him to go to Europe.
Donna sat on the Forrester jet waiting for it to take off. She ordered a beverage and contemplated what went wrong in her and Eric's relationship. Back home, Owen informed Eric that the people he'd seen kissing weren't Donna and Owen; they were look-alike models. Eric wondered who'd do this to him, and was shocked when he realized it was Thorne. Thorne argued that Eric would've caught Donna and Owen together, anyway. Eric went to track down Donna and planned to tell Stephanie what was going on. Thorne was furious with Owen for ruining his plan.... Donna was shocked when Eric joined her on board. He confessed that he had a camera installed in Owen's office to see if she'd give in to Owen. He explained how he thought he'd seen them getting it on, but he now knew they were look-alikes. Donna correctly guessed that
Thorne was the mastermind behind this. Eric apologized for losing faith in their relationship and begged for her forgiveness. "What do you want me to do, torture you for a few months?" she cracked. "Who do you think I am, Stephanie?" Eric promptly asked the flight attendant for privacy, and they declared their love for each other. "Be my wife again?" Eric asked. "Yes!" exclaimed Donna, and they kissed.
