Monday

"Goodbye, Dad," Ridge sobbed after he turned off Eric's ventilator. A
horrified Brooke entered and asked him what he was doing, but hospital
personnel rushed in and rehooked the patient. Ridge ordered them to stop, but
the doctor charged, "You're not empowered to make that decision." Ridge told
Brooke to have the family gather at Eric's office.

Katie bonded with Marcus as he shot hoops and he rhapsodized how Donna
"makes me feel loved." Katie was surprised when Marcus revealed that he has
the hots for Steffy. "I wish you all the luck in the world with that," Katie
offered then worried if she would be able to ge past Owen to see Donna.
Marcus explained that Owen was now gone.

At Forrester Creations, Ridge explained to his siblings and Donna that their
father is on a ventilator and he tried to unplug it. Donna became unglued
and attacked Ridge. Everyone raged at Ridge for his actions, but he defended
himself. "It's what Dad wants, I know it is," he insisted. Bridget then
explained that Eric was deprived of oxygen after his heart attack. "If he
wakes up, he's not going to be the man we know and love," she said tearfully
and Ridge asked everyone to side with him so they could end Eric's misery
but Donna strongly objected. Bridget pointed out that Donna is in charge of
making decisions about Eric's fate and she wanted to give her husband a
chance to recover. Ridge continued to state his case to give Eric "a
dignified ending to an extraordinary life." Bridget agreed with Ridge, then
Felicia, Rick and Thorne came around. "I will not give up on my husband!"
Donna announced. Everyone left the room so Ridge and Donna could be alone.
Ridge then urged Donna to set the man she loves free and Donna started to
sign the paper to authorize Eric to be removed from the ventilator. Owen
entered the room and asked what was going on. Donna sobbed that she was
going to have Eric unplugged and he could tell she didn't want to. "Don't
let them push you around," he advised. "If you feel there's hope for Eric
you should give him a chance."

Tuesday

Ridge ordered Owen to leave, but he refused. Owen pointed out to Donna that
she has Eric's power of attorney so she could be his advocate. Does she
really want to end is life? "Eric needs more time and we're going to give it
to him," Donna insisted to Ridge. Owen noted that the family is emotionally
spent so it's not the time to make such a life-or-death decision. Donna
then presented Ridge with information she found about comatose patients who
miraculously recovered. "Help him to fight to come back to us," Donna
pleaded. Ridge broke down and regretted turning off Eric's ventilator, but
Donna assured that, "everything is going to be okay."

After worrying about their families, Marcus asked Steffy if she wanted to go
out after work and "chill." She knew of the "perfect place" for their next
date but said it would be a surprise.

Brooke came back to Eric's office to find Ridge there alone. She asked if
Donna signed the order to have Eric removed from the ventilator. "No one's
signing anything," Ridge groaned and started criticizing himself for almost
killing "my own father." Brooke drew him into a comforting embrace as he
conceded that maybe he was hallucinating when he heard Eric's voice. Ridge
was thankful that Donna was able to change his mind.

Owen escorted Donna home, but when he tried to leave, she asked him to stay.
She thanked him for coming back and admitted, "I don't know what I would do
without you." Donna then tearfully recalled how she used to dance with Eric
in the living room so Owen put music on and danced with Donna. She asked him
to help her "keep hope alive" and Owen promised to stick around until Eric
was back on his feet. "God, I'm attracted to you," Owen whispered, but Donna
insisted that he had to respect her marriage. He assured he wouldn't cross
the line.

Wednesday

Beth found Katie's prenatal vitamins, but assumed that Brooke was pregnant.
When Beth started to get overly excited, Katie had to confess that Brooke
wasn't the one who is with child. A shocked Beth looked at her daughter and
gasped, "You? You're pregnant?" Katie confirmed it and Beth correctly
assumed that Nick is the father. Seeing her daughter was distressed, Beth
hugged Katie and assured that everything would be okay.

Bridget asked Taylor if she would consider making Katie Jack's godmother. "I
already asked Ashley Abbott," admitted Taylor, but added that the offer was a
while ago and Ash may even assume it's no longer on the table. Bridget then
continued to stump for Katie and Taylor finally gave in. Bridget rushed over
to Brooke's house and asked her aunt to be Jack's godmother. "You'll be like
a mother to Nick's son," Bridget pointed out but she was shocked when Katie
turned down the offer.

Marcus was peeved to see that Owen had returned and ordered him to leave.
Owen insisted he wanted to be a friend to Donna and revealed that he stopped
her from pulling the plug on Eric. Marcus then found Ridge and reamed him
for trying to railroad Donna into signing Eric's death warrant. Ridge
explained that he regretted that decisio, but ordered Marcus to end his
"flirtation" with Steffy.

Steffy rented one of the private cabanas at Bikini Beach, but was surprised
when Rick showed up. He explained he was touring the new cabanas and she
claimed she was just doing the same. However, an attendant showed up and
said, "I see your date has arrived." Busted, Steffy admitted that this was a
setup she planned for Marcus and, oh, she is in love. Rick promised not to
say anything to Taylor. After he left, Marcus arrived and announced he had
to let her go because of Ridge's disapproval. Steffy begged Marcus not to
give in to her dad's demands and they started making out.

Thursday

Steffy led Marcus to the big, comfy, romantic bed in the cabana, where they
exchanged smoldering stares until she purred, "I want you." The crazy kids
started smooching, but Marcus pulled away. "What kind of future do we really
have?" he posed. Steffy declared she wanted Marcus and he admitted he is in
love with her, to which she said ditto! That got them to kissing again, then
they finally fell back onto the bed.

Katie claimed she couldn't be Jack's godmother because she didn't know how
much longer she would be around. Bridget insisted that Katie was still "the
perfect choice" which only upset her further. Bridget pressed to know what
was really bothering Katie so Beth jumped in and said her daughter needed
time to think about the request. After Bridget departed, Katie fell into her
mother's arms. "How could I do this to Bridget," she sobbed. After Beth left
the room, Katie became hysterical with guilt.

Nick found himself obsessing about both Bridget and Katie. Bridget's arrival
interrupted his frenzied thoughts and she revealed that Katie didn't want to
be Jack's godmother. Bridget then requested that Nick change Katie's mind.
"I can't get through to Katie any better than you," he declared, but finally
agreed. Nick headed over to Brooke's house, where he consoled a rattled
Katie. She then marveled how their baby has defied all odds to exist. "I
can't regret it," she admitted and tearfully hugged Nick.

Friday

Nick wrapped his arms around Katie and gazed into her eyes. They both admitted to their mutual, albeit guilt-ridden, desire. Tears streamed down her face as he professed his love. Of course, she brought up that one little problem: Bridget. Nick admitted that his bride is special to him. (We're sure she'll be thrilled to hear it!) Katie begged Nick to promise he won't say anything to Bridget, at least until they know the baby is going to survivie. More weeping ensued.

Brooke found Ridge moping in his former office. He griped that though she was correct about what's right for Eric, she's "dead wrong" about what's right for the company. Talk turned to Steffy and Marcus. "I can tell you what they better not be doing," he said. Cut to the young pair getting hot and heavy on a chaise. As Ridge complained that they don't know Marcus well and that he might be after the family fortune, Marcus took a break from smooching to ponder how he can win Ridge's approval. Well, at least Brooke is ready to cut her nephew some slack. She gently reminded Ridge of last summer's debacle with Rick and Phoebe, which culminated with Ridge getting violent with her son and hard feelings all around. Some kissing and cooing lightened Ridge's mood, but he insisted that if Marcus didn't break things off with Steffy as Ridge had told him to do, the young man would be in trouble.

Back on the chaise of seduction, Steffy and Marcus professed their love and kissed.
