B&B Week of April 7, 2008
Monday
An agitated Taylor emphasized that she needed to have Jack for a night. Rick entered and made the same plea for Taylor. Brooke was peeved that her son was choosing sides and Nick deemed Taylor's involvement with Rick was wrong.
Brooke threatened to call the cops and Nick finally ordered Brooke to "step aside" so Taylor could retrieve Jack. Brooke chastised Rick, but he pointed out that Taylor "just wants to spend a night with her son." Taylor trotted downstairs with Jack in her arms, then left with Rick. Brooke was upset;
Nick said she didn't have a right to get all worked up, then ordered her to leave. She reminded that for the rest of their lives they share a child together.
After Ridge told security via phone that Storm had been terminated, Bridget waltzed into his office and asked when he was going to marry her mom. Ridge said that Brooke's feelings were still divided between him and Nick. Bridget explained that if Ridge marries Brooke, then Bridget can move on with Nick. Ridge said he wanted to go into the situation with "my eyes wide open" and suggested that Bridget do the same with Nick. "I love that you care so much for me," she sighed.
Phoebe told Ashley that she wanted to get back together with Rick, but wanted to make sure first if Ms. Abbott was still interested in him. Ash assured she wasn't, then Phoebe mentioned that her dad didn't seem very happy with Brooke.
Taylor and Rick walked into her house with Jack and she was thrilled to have her son home. "I still can't believe the way you stood up to your mother," said an impressed Taylor. "I just can't tell you how thankful I am." Rick assured he would fight to help Taylor get permanent custody of Jack. "I really believe that we can have a wonderful life together," Rick declared
and kissed Taylor, who didn't resist.
Tuesday
The next morning, Rick checked in on Taylor, who was cradling Jack in her arms. "I want to spoil you," Rick insisted and they shared a kiss. While Taylor was out of the room, Nick called and Rick convinced him to let Jack stay with Taylor for a few more hours. Phoebe showed up and excitedly announced that Constantine wants her to join him on his tour.
Brooke complained to Ridge about Rick and Taylor. Ridge asked why Brooke was over at Nick's house and she defended that she was worried about Jack. Ridge promised that he would try to separate his feelings for Nick from Jack. "Thank you for understanding," Brooke cooed. Ridge worried that Rick and Taylor's relationship will devastate Phoebe. Brooke wanted to check on Jack and Ridge said he would go with her. They arrived at Taylor's house as Phoebe was sharing her Constantine news. She assured her dad that with spring break she wouldn't miss very much school. Phoebe then asked Rick if
it was okay for her to go and he said he didn't want to hold her back. After Phoebe scampered off, Brooke and Ridge angrily denounced Rick and Taylor's relationship. Brooke insisted on returning Jack to Nick herself but Rick stopped his mother. Taylor then declared, "I love your son, Brooke." However, a sickened Brooke vowed not "to let this happen."
Katie urged Nick to break up with Bridget because Katie felt he was using her niece for casual sex. He told her that his relationship with Bridget wasn't any of her business but added that he enjoyed the "no strings attached" arrangement. Nick said he was a man who acts on impulse and challenged Katie to act on her own crazy impulses. She then jumped on him and locked lips.
Wednesday
"You're a good kisser," Nick told Katie who began to freak out over
smooching him. Katie seethed that she will never follow her impulses "ever again!" She tried to dash out but knocked over a vase. Bridget arrived and noticed how flustered her aunt was but trotted upstairs for some intimate time with Nick. Once she was gone, Katie begged Nick not to mention their kiss to Bridget and urged him to go be with her. Nick admitted that his heart wasn't with Bridget anymore. "Things are moving too fast for me," he
groaned and said that Bridget deserved better. Katie left but lingered outside the door to listen to Bridget come downstairs and mack on Nick. He then tried to tell her that their relationship wasn't working for him and she became unglued. "I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for her!" Bridget screamed.
"I will not accept this!" Brooke screamed but Rick said his mom can't control other people's feelings. Ridge butted in about the harm their relationship would cause Phoebe but Rick asked them to recognize that Taylor has lost two — count 'em — husbands to Brooke. Ridge advised Brooke that they should leave and she reluctantly agreed. "You are making a terrible, terrible mistake," sobbed Brooke to her son. She hugged Rick and then gave
Taylor a dirty look. After they left, Taylor thanked Rick for standing up for her. He asked if she really meant it when she said she loves him and she affirmed that the sentiment was "straight from my heart."
Once Ridge and Brooke got back to Forrester, she couldn't shut up about Rick and Taylor. "Why is he lashing out at me like this?" she whined but Ridge assured that everything would "work out." He left for a meeting and Brooke left an urgent voicemail for Storm that she needs his help concerning Jack. She then charged back over to Taylor's house to remind her that she's not healthy enough to be alone with Jack and her "disgusting" relationship with Rick (who was now gone) is proof. "I'll never believe you're stable while
You're still involved with my son," Brooke charged. "See you in court." Brooke stormed out and Taylor broke down in tears over the threat.
Thursday
Katie listened in as Bridget questioned Nick about whether he was seeing another woman. Bridget concluded that the other woman was Brooke, but Nick
denied it. After, Bridget asked if Katie knew anything, but Katie wasn't sure how to answer her. He did assure her that Nick wasn't seeing Brooke. Later, a guilty Katie paid Nick a visit and said that she wants to tell Bridget that she and Nick kissed. Bridget overheard them talking and
realized something was going on.
Brooke was surprised that Ridge fired Storm because he thought Storm was dangerous. She offered to talk to Ridge, but Storm didn't want her to. Storm promised to help her protect baby Jack from Taylor, but advised her not to take the case to court. Instead, he suggested she again speak with Nick about how she wants to be in Jack's life.
Clutching an object in frustration, tearful Taylor called Rick and filled him on how Brooke threatened her, regarding Jack. Rick couldn't believe that Brooke really wanted custody of the child. Taylor thought that Brooke was retaliating against the idea of Rick and Taylor being together. Rick was all set to stand by Taylor, even if it meant going against his mother.
Friday
Bridget watched as Nick embraced an upset Katie. "What's going on here?" asked Bridget. Katie claimed she was telling Nick that she couldn't babysit for Jack anymore because she's getting too attached. Bridget wasn't Convinced, but Nick affirmed there's nothing else going on. Bridget then revealed that she's fine with taking their relationship slowly and just let things progress naturally. "I know you love me," Bridget declared and
still let Nick know how much she wanted him. Oh, and this was all said right in front of Katie (awkward much?). Jack started squawking and Bridget volunteered to check on him. After she was gone from the room, Katie became agitated and was sure that Bridget sensed something wrong. Bridget returned and could see that her aunt was worked up. It was Nick's turn to leave the
room and Bridget asked Katie what was bothering her. Katie admitted that she kissed Nick and told Bridget she was sorry. "Do you have feelings for him?" Bridget demanded.
Brooke confronted Ridge about firing her brother. "Storm is not okay, he's dangerous," Ridge insisted. Despite Brooke's assurances that Storm is getting help, Ridge rushed out, determined to warn Ashley about her sicko suitor. Meanwhile, Ashley seemed to be enjoying her dinner date and started ribbing Storm about skeletons in his closet. After he couldn't convince Ashley to dance, he left to pay the bill. (Hey, this ain't Denny's. Why didn't he give a credit card to the waiter?) While Ashley was alone, Ridge,
ever the wet blanket, showed up and warned her to stay away from Storm. When
she got mad about his interference, Ridge blabbed that Storm shot Stephanie, then advised Ashley not to let on that she knows. "Just cut things off without making him suspicious," Ridge urged and Ashley agreed. From afar, Storm observed Ridge huddling with Ashley and confronted Ridge at the elevator. Storm asked if Ridge told Ashley about the shooting; Ridge wouldn't answer. Storm returned to Ashley, where he menacingly glared at Ridge.
