Ridge and Eric made frantic calls about the Forrester jet disappearance as Stephanie brought them more coffee. Stephanie reassured Ridge that Thomas and Brooke will be okay. Then, Hope, Steffy and Taylor filtered in. Ridge broke the news about the jet going down. Taylor and Steffy insisted on accompanying Ridge to the Fiji area to search. Bill stared wistfully at his and Katie's wedding photo and opened up to Justin about what was going on. He noted that Katie isn't answering his calls. Then, a frantic Steffy called him about the crash and begged for his help! Bill offered them his jet, so they could leave ASAP! As Ridge gently told RJ that he had to leave for a while, Steffy burst in to tell them all they could leave right away. Bill left Katie another message, telling her what's going on and asking her to come to the airport. Eric assured Hope that they'd called Stephen and gave her a comforting hug. Ridge and Taylor headed to Bill's jet, where Bill was leaving Katie more voicemail. Steffy didn't want to wait for Katie. She wanted to leave now! Back at the Forrester mansion, Katie and Donna arrived and Stephanie, Eric and Hope shared the bad news. Katie hurriedly checked her messages and realized she could've been on the plane. Aboard the Spencer jet, everyone's nerves were shot! Ridge held Taylor in his arms as she wept.
Elsewhere, Thomas and Brooke had washed up on a sandy beach. Thomas woke first and crawled to Brooke. Thomas helped Brooke stand and walk. They limped to a cave. Thomas left Brooke there as he went off to look for help and play manly hunter/gatherer. Night fell and Brooke began to worry. Thomas returned, telling her "it's just us." The two of them drew together...cold, alone and scared.

Brooke and Thomas awoke in the cave, having survived the night. Brooke couldn't get Ridge and her children off her mind. Thomas went looking for food, joking about pancakes and "oj." Thomas brought Brooke back a shell with some water he'd collected and decided to go out looking for more water. "Brooke, we're gonna make it," he promised. Later, Brooke emerged from the cave, limping about. She found some berries and jubilantly called for Thomas, who warned her not to eat them, as they could be dangerous. Brooke was freaked out, so he calmed her down, again assuring her they'd get through this.
On the Spencer jet, Steffy, Taylor, Bill and Ridge prepared for landing. Ridge checked on RJ, learning Stephanie was keeping him busy so he wouldn't see the news. The captain updated everyone, talking about what awaited them below. "Phoebe's watching over him. I can feel it," Steffy assured Taylor. Minutes later, they landed. Ridge was frantic and Bill urged him to "try and take it easy." Then, Bill finally got through to Katie, who was waiting with Hope and Donna. Bill said he could get a charter plane to bring Katie, Donna and Stephen to them, but Katie wanted to stay with the kids and support them. "Thank you so much. I love you," she wept. "I love you, too," said Bill, before hanging up...which Steffy heard! At the Forrester mansion, Katie and Donna tried to comfort Hope, and then Liam came by. Hope ran into his arms. Liam told her everything he knew about the search from his dad and assured her that she is safe and loved. They kissed.
On the jet, the head of local search and rescue, Manassa, had discouraging news. There was no sign of survivors and smaller bits of wreckage had drifted out to sea. Bill and Ridge refused to give up. Ridge paced back and forth wondering where the rescue helicopter was.

In the cave, Thomas brought back driftwood to make a fire. He and Brooke didn't have luck finding any water, and Brooke was worried about whether anyone was looking for them. As Thomas worked on the fire, Brooke looked longingly at the berries she'd picked. Tom again reminded her she couldn't have them. After some effort, he managed to get a fire going. Brooke noted he looks just like his father did at that age and has a similar sense of humor. She reminisced about being lost in Barbados and Ridge saving her — complete with a flashback! "Ridge is going to find us and bring us home," she swore. As they warmed themselves by the fire, Brooke asked Thomas why he'd kissed her and he waxed poetic about her energy and her light. Brooke got all weepy about missing Ridge and the kids but promised she wouldn't lose faith. Later, Brooke was desperate for water. When Thomas left her to look around again, she flashed back on marrying Ridge and begged him not to give up on her.
On the Spencer jet, Bill made more angry calls and assured Taylor he was doing everything he could to get Thomas back safely. Ridge came in and told them all he'd had no sign of Brooke and Thomas. "We haven't even made a dent in the search grid," he sighed. He revealed that he'd hired a fishing boat to go out looking on his own. Taylor and Steffy wanted to go out with him, but he told Steffy to stay behind with Bill. Taylor and Ridge met a Captain Waisea on his boat, wanting to get out in the ocean ASAP. While they were out, they got a radio message about finding a male body...and were relieved but saddened to realize it was a man in his 40s, likely one of the pilots. Ridge assured Taylor that Brooke and Thomas are out there and alive. He wouldn't give up!

Ridge and Taylor updated Eric and Stephanie from the parked jet, as Steffy napped. Katie and Bill also exchanged updates, with Bill assuring Katie he'd have Brooke and Thomas with him when he got home. Ridge and Taylor went back out to search, while Bill told Steffy to stay and help him. At Jackie M, Whip told Nick, Owen and Jackie what was going on. Nick revealed that the plane went down near his old shipping lanes. He knew those waters and could help. He pulled out a map and got to navigating. Back at the Forrester mansion, Dayzee showed up and immediately wept on Stephanie's shoulder. Later, they sat on the steps and Dayzee picked at one of Pam's lemon bars as she admitted how she feels about Thomas. On the jet, Steffy felt like they weren't getting anywhere. Bill planned to use satellite imagery and enlisted the help of some high-up U.S. general! On Captain Waisea's boat, Ridge directed him to go back towards where the pilot's body was found. Nick called them, looking to get in contact with Manasa and the rescue team. He told them he was pretty sure Brooke and Thomas had floated in the opposite direction. Meanwhile, Bill was able to use his pull to get some things done, and he and Steffy shared a tight hug.
Brooke awoke in the cave, all curled up next to Thomas. He woke up slowly, cracking, "Anybody feel like getting rescued today?" Later, he came back with a shell of water, nobly telling Brooke to have it all. He then peeled off his shirt so Brooke could put it on instead of her tattered dress. She really wanted to eat the berries they'd found the night before, but he again cautioned her against it. Brooke was certain Ridge would find them; she insisted she'd heard Ridge tell her to hold on. Brooke and Thomas each went searching for food and a desperate Brooke couldn't help herself: She ate some berries! Elsewhere, Thomas leaned against a rock all shirtless and broody and thought of Dayzee. Brooke chowed down, eating more berries. Thomas found her joyfully gorging, and she offered him some.

Brooke extended her hand to Thomas, offering him berries she'd found on the island. She assured him they're not poisonous; she'd been eating them and she's perfectly fine. Thomas finally ate one berry and then continued eating berry after berry, picking more from the bush. Clearly affected by the fruit, they played along the shore and saw a rainbow stretch across the sky.
Ridge and Taylor were aboard their own search boat, communicating with Nick via telephone. Nick assured Taylor that they will find her son.
Eric, Stephanie, Dayzee, Donna, Pam, Katie Stephen waited for news at the Forrester house. Hope arrived asking for news and informed the family that RJ has no idea something happened to his mom. Stephanie remained confident and stayed strong for her family. Dayzee felt like an outsider at such a personal family event, but Stephanie reminded her that Brooke is often an outsider to the family, as well. She then admitted to Dayzee that even though Brooke drives her crazy, she's become a part of her heart. Donna and Eric exchanged words of support.
Steffy and Bill used some "friends in high places" to make use of military satellites. A grateful Ridge advised they take Nick's advice and use the satellite imaging on the islands south of the crash site, the opposite direction the search party went. Steffy grew frustrated looking over island after island, but Bill declared it is up to them to bring Thomas and Brooke home. While Bill comforted Steffy and Steffy showered him with praise and gratitude, they missed satellite footage of Thomas and Brooke running across the beach.
Still under the effect of the berries, Thomas and Brooke found a cave. Colorful flowers bloomed before their eyes. They saw an oasis in the middle of the cave. Their tattered clothing was transformed into new clean sarongs. They played in a waterfall amazed by the light that appeared when they brought their hands together. Beneath the waterfall, Thomas held Brooke in his arms.
