B&B Week of April 21, 2008
Monday
Stephanie held a memorial service for Tiny in her backyard with Eric and
Thorne in attendance. Pamela showed up in black and sobbed over her loss.
Stephanie tried to console he sister, but Pam ran off in tears. Donna showed up with flowers in hand which rankled Stephanie and Thorne. Pam returned and was enraged to find Donna, who tried to offer her condolences. Pam stormed
away with Stephanie and Thorne in pursuit. Donna revealed her fears to Eric that Pam may seek revenge against her. "I'm just worried," Donna cried. Later, she was alone with Pam and tried to apologize. "You killed my baby," Pam insisted.
In the courtroom, Brooke urged Nick to convince the judge to cut Taylor out
of Jack's life for now. Just outside, Taylor acknowledged to Rick that she
didn't give him an answer to his proposal but he understood that she needed to concentrate on the custody hearing. They entered the courtroom and were upset to see Brooke present. When Rick asked what his mother was doing there, Brooke protested, "I need to protect both my sons." The hearing was convened and Nick testified that custodial rights should be restored to his ex-wife. When it looked like everything was going in Taylor's favor, a horrified Brooke burst out that she was Jack's biological mother and
demanded to be heard. Taylor objected but the judge allowed Brooke to speak. As proof that Taylor was still "unhinged," Brooke tattled that Taylor was romantically involved with Rick. "She's a sick, sick woman," Brooke wept. Rick stood up and announced that he and Taylor "are engaged to be married." Yep, Brooke was not amused and Taylor didn't refute his claim. Brooke asked if her son and Taylor were sleeping together and he didn't answer, which only made her think they were. The judge then called a recess. Taylor and Brooke exchanged poisoned stares.
Tuesday
While waiting for the judge to return with his decision, Brooke was certain
that Rick and Taylor's relationship would sink her chances of getting
custody of Jack. The hearing was reconvened and the judge shocked Brooke by stating that Rick seems to be a stabilizing force in Taylor's life. The judge then awarded full custody to Taylor and ordered Nick to return Jack to her that day. Nick seemed at peace with the decision but you-know-who wasn't. After court was adjourned, Taylor thanked Nick for speaking out in her support. Nick departed and Brooke confronted Taylor. "You've got custody
of Jack, now you can let Rick go," Brooke pointed out but Taylor said she
truly cared for Rick. Brooke urged Taylor to break it off with Rick but he
appeared and angrily told Taylor not to listen to his mom.
Ashley wasn't happy to find Storm waiting in her lab. He then presented her with expensive earrings. "I can't accept these," Ash said but Storm said he saw "potential between us." Sensing her aloofness, he suspected that Ridge
tainted her attitude towards him but Ashley pretended not to know what Storm meant. "You wouldn't lie to me Ashley?" he asked but she was left off the hook when Katie called Storm and asked her brother to come to Nick's right away to complete some legal papers.
Storm arrived at Nick's place, where he found out that Taylor regained
custody of Jack. Katie asked her brother to drawn up visitation papers for Nick, then revealed that their nephew was engaged to Taylor. Katie could tell Storm was bothered and he explained that Ridge was trying to ruin a possible romance with Ashley. Nick appeared on the stairs, unseen and
overheard Storm and Ashley discussing what he did that could send him to jail.
Wednesday
In the courtroom, Taylor hugged Rick and happily headed out to retrieve
Jack. Before leaving, Taylor advised Brooke, "Think about your own family,
get your priorities straight." Brooke slammed her designer purse in disgust
and cursed. She went home and whined to Ridge that Taylor got custody of Jack. Brooke was worried that she would be cut out of the baby's life then announced that Taylor and Nick were now engaged. Ridge assured that Taylor won't risk her relationship with Phoebe by marrying Rick, but Brooke wasn't so sure.
Nick asked Katie if Storm shot Stephanie. Katie admitted it
was true but begged Nick not to say anything. They were interrupted when
Taylor showed up to get Jack. The exes shared a positive conversation and hugged. "I'm so sorry it ended like this," Taylor sighed. Katie brought down Jack and handed him to a thrilled Taylor. After she left, an angry Nick told Katie that he was worried about Ashley being around Storm. Katie insisted that Stephanie has given her brother a second chance.
Ashley was startled when Storm came through her open patio door. She got
jittery and tried to get him to leave but he announced he was "a flawed
man." Storm then admitted that he was the one who shot Stephanie but noticed that Ashley didn't seem that surprised by the confession. He realized that Ridge had already told Ashley. "I really hate when people lie to me," he said menacingly.
Rick greeted Taylor when she came home with Jack. She thanked Rick for all his help and he was just glad to be a part of her life. Rick then got down
on one knee and presented Taylor with an engagement ring. She reminded that she needed to talk to her children — especially Phoebe — about what she needs to do.
Thursday
Ridge, Thorne and Felicia gathered at the Forrester house and wondered why
their mother called a family meeting. Stephanie showed up and told her kids
that she is ready to move on with her life sans Eric. Steph then shocked them with the news that she is stepping down from Forrester Creations and is planning to suggest that Eric and Donna get married in the family home. Ridge, Thorne and Felicia assumed their mom was plotting something but she assured she isn't and they all vehemently refused to attend the wedding. Eric came in and overheard Stephanie urge her kids to unite as a family and be there for their dad. Another shocker came when Stephanie said she wanted to sell her share of the house to Eric. He asked if she was sure and she confirmed she had made up her mind.
Katie told Nick that Ashley would be lucky to have a man like Storm in her
life. Nick didn't agree and posed how would Storm react if Ashley dumped
him. Katie defended that her bother isn't violent, then decided to go talk
with Ashley.
"I'm not a violent man," Storm professed to a frightened Ashley then he also admitted that he is falling in love with her. She grew increasingly
uncomfortable and Storm explained how the rage he felt toward his dad and Stephanie led him to commit such a violent act. He then took out a gun and Ashley freaked out. "Is this the man you think I am?" he asked incredulously as Ashley cowered from him. She started to calm down when he talked tenderly about his sisters and how he never wanted to lose his self control again. From the front porch, Katie could see Storm with the gun and burst through the front door. "Put the gun down!" she screamed and tried to grab it. The firearm went off and Storm was horrified when his sister fell to the floor with a bloody chest wound.
Friday
Katie laid on the floor, clinging to life. Ashley called 911 as Storm tended to his sister. The paramedics arrived and Storm boarded the ambulance with them. As the siren screamed, Katie eyes fluttered open and Storm tried to assure her that everything would be okay.
Brooke told Donna about Storm crushing on Ashley but Ridge was doing his best to discourage it. Both sisters wished Ridge could understand what a good man Storm really is. "He would never hurt anybody ever again," Brooke affirmed.
Elsewhere, Nick didn't share Bridget's enthusiasm for her uncle's budding romance. "He's trouble," Nick declared. Bridget was baffled by Nick's attitude toward Storm but the hospital called her with the news that Katie was being rushed to the hospital, Bridget and Nick rushed to ask Storm what happened. All he can could says was that he shot "my baby sister." Bridget called Brooke and informed her that Katie was in the hospital but didn't reveal Storm's role. After Bridget ran off to check on Katie's condition, Storm was shocked when Nick said he knew that Storm shot Stephanie.
An emotional Ashley summoned Ridge and when he rushed over, she explained what happened. "He didn't mean for it to happen," Ashley sobbed. Ridge didn't care if Katie getting hurt was an accident, it's time that Storm is held accountable.
Brooke and Donna arrive and frantically asked why Katie is hurt. Storm admitted that Katie got shot because of him. They stared in disbelief as he recounted how she caught him with a gun and thinking he was going to shoot someone — again — grabbed it. They were interrupted by a grim-faced Bridget who explained that Katie is being kept alive by life-support. Brooke, with tears in her eyes, insisted that a miracle could happen. "If we could find a heart, we could get a transplant," said a tentative Bridget, who pointed out that the odds of finding one were slim. Her mom ordered her to go make it happen. Bridget rushed out.
Donna and Brooke flanked their sister's bed and spoke lovingly to her. Brooke urged Donna not to lose faith. Out in the hall, Dr. Brauer overheard Bridget on the phone trying to find a heart. Dr. Brayer told her to be realistic, but Bridget didn't want to hear it. Back in the room, Brooke begged an unconscious Katie to keep fighting. "I love you so much," she sobbed. Nick quietly assured Brooke: "She knows ... She knows." Bridget returned and Nick asked if they had found a donor. "Please tell us there is hope," pleaded Nick. Bridget's face said it all. They all burst into sad tears.
