Bold and Beautiful Recaps

Monday

Bridget and Owen angsted over her pregnancy test as, at Jackie M, Nick and Jackie talked about Owen's commitment to Jackie and how good he is for the company. Jackie also admitted she'd been wrong about Bridget and her constant Brooke cheerleading. Mother and son had a heart to heart about their marriages. In Nick's office, Bridget told Owen that the test is positive. She's pregnant! She started freaking out, and Owen tried to point out that there is a high probability her baby is Nick's. "This isn't some punishment for you cheating on your husband," he assured. Bridget disagreed, pointing out she'd lost three babies and fretting about how dangerous it was for her to carry to term. Owen refused to believe her baby could be his, noting he loves his wife. Bridget wanted to go tell Nick ASAP but Owen begged her to wait until they were sure of what to do. Later, Owen came home to find Jackie had set up a romantic dinner. As for Bridget, she arrived home to Nick waiting with lingerie (for her!) and wine. A guilt-stricken Bridget wasn't "feeling very sexy" and she rebuffed his amorous advances. She couldn't keep quiet anymore, insisting, "I have to tell you what happened!"

Donna came home to the mansion to find a somber Stephen waiting for her. She instantly realized something was wrong. Stephen explained that Beth's condition had worsened considerably on their cruise and she was a lot sicker than before. Eric came home, and then Beth emerged, shocking everyone with her haggard appearance. She reunited with Donna and Eric but was clearly befuddled. Beth showed them all her keepsake lace, which had photos of her family sewn into it. Beth thought she was still a caterer and had just done a party for Eric. Eric sweetly praised her skill. Donna couldn't hold back tears. Stephen then explained to Donna and Eric the details of Beth's deterioration, how she wanders off, fears water, etc. He admitted he needs help and Eric said he and Beth could move into the mansion. Touched, Donna hugged her hubby.

Tuesday

A guilt-racked Bridget got ready to tell Nick the truth as, back at their places, Owen and Jackie reaffirmed their love. Nick assured Bridget they could handle "whatever comes up" and kissed her passionately. He carried her to bed, where they made love. Afterwards, Bridget was all distant and sad...and she ended up telling Nick she's pregnant! She said she'd taken a home test and he was stunned. She apologized for missing her birth control pills and he told her not to apologize and suggested they take a breath and wrap their minds around the news. Then, Owen called Bridget to meet up with him as soon as possible. Owen flipped when Bridget revealed she'd told Nick she's pregnant. He urged her not to tell Nick the rest, noting she'd be making a huge mistake.

At the Forrester mansion, Stephen came downstairs after putting Beth to bed and then noted how unfair it was to Donna that Stephanie was staying in the guest house. On cue, Stephanie let herself in, calling to Eric about whether the martinis were mixed. Eric told Stephanie that Stephen and Beth were staying for a while. Awkward! Stephen explained the tragic circumstances and Donna started crying again. Beth came downstairs and when she saw Stephanie, the scene instantly grew tense. Stephen quickly took Beth for a walk and Stephanie voiced her concerns to Eric. Then, she and Donna argued, and Donna noted that every word that comes out of Steph's mouth is suspect. Stephanie insisted Eric would eventually come around. Donna begged Eric not to give in to Stephanie. Elsewhere on the property, Stephen asked Stephanie to leave. Then, Beth asked to speak to Stephanie alone. She, too, asked Stephanie to go, even starting to pack for her. Beth grew increasingly frantic, insisting she has to protect her girls.

Wednesday

In bed, Ridge caressed Brooke and teased her that they were off on a tropical island vacation. Brooke fantasized about turquoise waters and "making love" all day long. She quickly snapped out of it, however, when she began thinking about her parents, Donna, and Stephanie all living under the same roof. Ridge suggested playing hooky and lying in bed all day to take her mind off things, but Brooke insisted that she needed to go check on her mother. Ridge expressed his sympathy to Brooke about her mother's illness. Brooke worried that Stephanie's presence would upset Beth.

At the guest house, Stephanie told Pam that she felt sorry for Beth. Pam advised her sister not to let anything derail her plan to get Eric back. She was suspicious of the timing of Stephen and Beth's arrival. "Think about it, Steph. You move into the guest house, and then SUDDENLY the place is crawling with Logans?" she conjectured. "There's only one thing to do: fumigate!" she exclaimed. Stephanie let her sister's advice sink in, and left.

At the Forrester mansion, Katie and Donna fretted over their mother's condition. Katie wondered about the lace that her mother seemed to always be clutching. Stephen filled her in, explaining that it was a comfort item. Hope wanted to look at the lace, but Beth snatched it back violently. "Who are you?" she snapped. Hope was devastated that her grandmother didn't recognize her. Stephen pinpointed a bigger problem, however. "We have to keep Stephanie away from your mother!" he instructed his daughters, explaining how much of a toll the altercation the previous night had taken on Beth. On cue, Stephanie burst through the door. "Good, you're all here!" she said brightly. She announced that she had something to discuss with everyone. Brooke arrived just in time to hear Stephanie's attempt to persuade the group that Beth belonged in a facility where she could get professional help. Ridge burst in the door as everyone began to pile on Stephanie. "She wants to send our parents packing, Ridge," Katie announced. The Logan daughters all began speaking at once, begging Eric not to change his mind. Eric finally spoke up, saying that Beth would stay. Amidst all the chaos, Beth freaked out. She stood up and shook her lace-filled fist at Stephanie. "Shut up! You shut up!" she shrieked. Beth's episode illustrated Stephanie's point. She told Eric that things would just get worse if they did not seek medical care for Beth. Donna couldn't believe that Stephanie had so little compassion for her dying mother. "Just leave us in peace!" Donna hissed.

Ridge convinced Stephanie to go back to the guest house with him. The Logan family was relieved to see her go, and they led Beth up to her bedroom to rest. Donna sought comfort in Eric's arms. "It breaks my heart to see her like this!" she sobbed. She begged her husband to ask Stephanie to move out.

Back at the guest house, Stephanie and Pam worked on Ridge. "Donna is taking advantage of the situation!" Stephanie charged. Pam chimed in that the whole mess was distracting Eric from getting back together with Stephanie. The sisters discussed how frustrated they were that the Logan girls always used their sexuality to get the men that they wanted. Stephanie pointed out that Eric wasn't entirely blameless, since he fell for Donna's prancing-around-in-a-bikini act so quickly. Ridge escaped the girl talk and went back up to the main house to comfort his dad. He found Eric confused. "I feel for Donna and her family, but I don't want to hurt your mother, either," he confessed sadly.

Donna burst into the guest house to confront Stephanie. She begged Stephanie to back off, and to simply let their family be there for her mother. Stephanie countered that it was wrong for everyone to keep Beth at the Forrester home. She went even further, contending that Donna herself should get out of Eric's life.

Thursday

Donna urged Stephanie to move out of the guest house and give Beth some peace, but Stephanie refused, accusing Donna of putting Eric "right in the middle of this mess." She said Donna and her family were the ones who needed to leave. At the main house, Stephen and Brooke tried to keep Beth calm and assure her Stephanie would go. Downstairs, Ridge apologetically finished up a business call, noting he had to make a visit to Forrester International. Then, he and Eric discussed what's going on with Stephanie. Ridge said this was Eric and Stephanie's "moment." Back at the guest house, Donna brought up Stephanie's situation with Ann. Stephanie noted that, unlike Ann, Beth had years left to live. And she needed round-the-clock medical care. Stephanie refused to leave, insisting she's trying to think of what's best for everyone. Meanwhile, Eric agreed with Ridge that he's not being fair to Stephanie or Donna and went to see Stephanie. Upstairs, Donna checked in with Brooke, fearing that Eric was with her right now out of pity. Then, Donna sat with Beth, who initially mistook her for Brooke. Reduced to tears, Donna wept in Stephen's arms. At the guest house, Eric told Stephanie he'd always want her close to him and they hugged. Donna and Beth went out for a walk out by the pool and Beth got agitated while a teary Brooke told Ridge to come home from Europe as soon as he could. When Stephanie raved, assuming she and Eric were reuniting, he stopped her and asked her to move out. He loved Stephanie and wanted to run Forrester with her, but couldn't walk away from Donna!

Whip and Taylor cuddled in bed as Whip lauded the 2000-plus ways he loves her. When Whip mistakenly thought Shakespeare wrote "How Do I Love Thee," Taylor corrected him, noting it was Elizabeth Barrett Browning. He decided to stick to what he does best: kissing her! After some necking, they talked honeymoons and then moved on to talking about the drama over at Chez Forrester.

Friday

Stephanie surmised that Eric had chosen Donna and told him the Logans are taking advantage of kindness and generosity. Back at the main house, Beth was still bewildered and Donna and Brooke tried to assure her that Stephanie wasn't a problem for them. Stephen brought Beth a sandwich and tried to persuade her to let her ire at Stephanie go. In Malibu, Bill comforted Katie, who was mourning her mother's deterioration. "We only have the now, baby," he murmured, holding her close. Katie vented about how Stephanie was affecting Beth, just wanting her mother to have some peace. Back in L.A., Beth insisted Eric was too nice to fight Stephanie and it was up to her. Stephen and the girls tried to figure out how to keep Beth away from Stephanie. In the guest house, Eric and Stephanie went another round about her moving out and the state of his marriage. "If your future is with this woman, then you've got to tell me right now," charged Stephanie. Eric admitted he just didn't know. But he did love her. Stephanie called him a "little boy who wants to have his cake and eat it, too," and said she'd leave tonight.

Beth excused herself to go to the bathroom, reminding a worried Donna, "I am still your mother!" when she tried to follow her. Then, Eric came in and told Donna, Brooke and Stephen that he'd asked Stephanie to leave. Back at the beach house, Bill suggested they move Beth in with them, and Katie was relieved and moved. Bill valued being part of a family. The two of them kissed, sweetly, and Katie wondered how much time her mother had left. Meanwhile, Beth showed up at Stephanie's door to again warn her away from her daughters. Stephanie tried to walk her back to the main house, but Beth would have none of that. As Donna realized Beth had gone AWOL, Stephanie and Beth began to argue out by the pool. Stephanie got fed up, grabbed her keepsake lace and tossed it in the pool. Then, she walked away. Once she was gone, Beth reached for her lace...and fell in! Poor Beth began to drown! Brooke asked Stephanie if she'd seen her mom, as Donna looked out by the pool...and began screaming.
