Monday
"I'm telling you the truth, I wouldn't lie to you," insisted Taylor as she
explained how Ridge and Brooke's marriage license was never filed properly
because Pam had messed up some of the details. Ridge was stunned as Taylor
revealed that Stephanie had known about this for a while but Taylor couldn't
keep quiet about it any longer. Taylor pointed out her and Ridge's shared
opinion about Rick and that Brooke continues to go against his feelings.
Ridge and Taylor bonded further over their hatred and disgust for Rick.
Ridge wondered if he and Brooke's relationship can survive if she keeps
siding with her son. "I just don't know if Brooke and I are going to be able
to make it," Ridge groaned. He then announced that he wasn't going to refile
the marriage license and didn't want Brooke to know. Taylor stepped in and
kissed him.
"You think I would actually hook up with you?" scoffed Donna to Bill.
"You're out of your mind." However, Bill stressed that a little cooperation
from Donna could help Eric. "You're my kind of woman," Bill noted. "You go
after what you want and get it." Donna professed her love for her husband
but Bill said it would only be a matter of time until he gets what he wants.
Donna asked what Bill's true agenda was for "Eric and me" but he just
flirted shamelessly with her some more then dismissed her when he got a
business call.
Steffy relayed to Rick how her dad wasn't impressed with Rick's homage to
Phoebe. Brooke entered and agreed that a relationship between her son and
Steffy would be just too "volatile." Rick objected to his mom's lack of
support but Brooke said she had to be worried about the state of her own
marriage. Steffy still called Rick's effort a beautiful tribute to her
sister but she said that they would need to keep their distance because of
Ridge's feelings. Brooke advised them to say goodbye to each other and left.
Rick tried to convince Steffy not to give up on their shot at happiness but
she said she couldn't turn her back on her dad. "We have to go our separate
ways," she insisted. Rick gave the engagement ring back and tenderly kissed
her.
Tuesday
Taylor tried to track down Stephanie to tell her that Ridge knows about his
invalid marriage. Meanwhile, Nick, Stephanie, Jackie, Bridget Owen and Clark
welcomed Bill to the Jackie M offices. Stephanie revealed she had two more
installments about Forrester Creations for Bill to publish. He then
described how he propositioned Donna when she ordered him to leave Forrester
Creations alone but she didn't take the bait. Nick seemed appalled by Bill's
methods but kept quiet. Stephanie received an urgent call from Taylor and
dashed away. While touring Jackie M, Bill flirted shamelessly with Bridget
and Jackie, ticking off Owen. After Bill left, Nick warned Owen to treat
Bridget with care. Owen countered that Nick needs to stop worrying about his
ex-wife.
Brooke assured Ridge that Rick and Steffy were going to keep their distance
from each other. Brooke praised Rick's tribute to Phoebe as "beautiful"
while Ridge called it "vile." Brooke refused to see her son as evil but
Ridge raged, "Your son is still manipulating you." He demanded that Brooke
promise that she will do everything in her power to prevent Rick and Steffy
from getting back together. Brooke agreed but commented that Ridge seemed to
be inferring that their marriage is over.
Stephanie met with Taylor who confessed that she blabbed to Ridge that he
wasn't legally married to Brooke. Taylor claimed she couldn't hold back any
longer because Ridge is so disillusioned with Brooke. Stephanie later met
with Ridge and he complained about her not telling him that he's still
single. Stephanie cautioned that the only way the craziness with Rick and
Steffy will stop if he married Taylor and presented a united front.
Nick couldn't stop thinking of his recent kiss with Bridget. She stormed in
and objected to him talking to Owen. He confessed that he couldn't ignore
what he feels for her. Bridget ordered him to leave her alone.
Brooke encountered Taylor and Brooke accused the shrink of using Rick and
Steffy to make a play for Ridge. Brooke insisted that Rick is no longer an
issue for her and Ridge. Taylor warned that when "you blow it," she'll be
there to pick up the pieces with Ridge.
Donna told Eric that she visited Bill and Eric wanted to know what they
spoke about. Donna dodged that questions by saying that they need to keep
out of Bill's way. Donna was annoyed when Eric called Bill and invited him
to dinner at the house. Bill accepted as he smugly looked at Stephanie's
latest articles.
Wednesday
Just as Katie descended the stairs, Nick stashed away his and Bridget's
wedding photo that he was staring at. After he left, Katie came across the
picture so she called Brooke over. Big sis was surprised when Katie
announced that she's leaving Nick. Katie explained that he isn't over his ex
and Bridget should have her life back if she wants it. After Brooke left,
Katie removed her engagement ring and began to write a letter to Nick.
Bridget left a letter of resignation on Nick's desk and she was surprised
when he suddenly appeared. He was taken aback that she is quitting and she
insisted it was time for her to move on. She then raged at him for kissing
her and that she needs to get over him. Nick confessed that he couldn't stop
thinking about what he had with Bridget but she suggested that, after two
marriages, they're just not meant to be together. Nock begged for another
chance but Owen interrupted them to take Bridget on their date. She gave
Nick a longing look then left with Owen. Jackie entered and observed her
son's sour mood. He got emotional as he admitted that he still loves
Bridget. "Help me get her back where she belongs," Nick asked his mom.
Donna was apparently nervous as she waited for Bill to show up for dinner.
Eric interrupted her distraction just as Bill arrived. They all started with
sipping champagne but the mood darkened when Bill presented an advance copy
of Eye On Fashion that featured a picture of Eric with the headline, "The
Downfall Of Forrester Creations." Eric was furious but Bill said he would
pull the issue if he got what he wanted. Bill then offered Eric $100 million
to buy Forrester. Bill admitted that the Logan girls were weakening
Forrester. Eric groused that Bill was no one 10 years ago until his father
gave him a chance. Bill pointed out that he was the one that built Spencer
Publications into the empire it is today. Eric ordered Bill to leave then
got called away for a business call. Alone with Donna, Bill reminded that
she could save Forrester Creations if she slept with him.
Thursday
Jackie urged Nick to go after Bridget before she gets "in over her head" with
Owen. "I know I can make her happy," Nick insisted and wanted to find
Bridget as soon as possible. He and Jackie headed to Owen’s place and on the
way she slipped about Owen being a wonderful lover. Nick asked how she would
know and Jackie covered by claiming it was just an assumption.
A depressed Katie was downing martinis at Caf Russe when Bill encountered
her. Thoroughly soused, she explained how she's a homewrecker and tried to
order another drink but the bartender cut her off. Bill offered to drive
Katie home and she said she really didn't have anywhere to go to now. She
then remembered she can bunk at her sister's and Bill said they would have
to go back to his hotel room so he can get his car keys. Once they got
there, Katie attacked his mini bar but Bill thought coffee was a better
option. She started to come on to him, then passed out on his bed. When Bill
couldn't rouse Katie, he looked down on her, contemplating his next move.
At Owen's place, he and Bridget started making out but she couldn't stop
thinking about Nick. She pulled away and explained how Nick kissed her but
insisted she wanted to be with Owen. They went resumed kissing but she got
emotional again. "I need you to make love to me," she pleaded with Owen, who
was more than willing to oblige. Things got back to being hot and heavy but
she couldn't block Nick out of her thoughts. "I can't do this," she
confessed and he admitted that he's hung up on someone else as well. Nick
stormed in and seeing them half naked, assumed he was too late. Bridget
admitted she couldn't stop thinking about Nick and they started kissing.
Jackie came in and asked Owen if he had sex with Bridget and he said they
couldn't follow through. Jackie was happy and started to passionately kiss
Owen. Nick saw them and asked his mother what's going on. She giggled that
he wasn't the only one to find someone special.
Friday
Nick and Bridget walked in on Jackie and Owen in a clinch. "Couldn't you
have taken up something like knitting or cards, something that grandmothers
do?" spat a disgusted Nick. Go home with Bridget, purred Jackie. Nick took
Mom's advice and while he was upstairs looking for Katie, Bridget found the
goodbye note Katie had left for him. "She's not coming back," Nick told
Bridget after he read it. "She knows that a life with you is what I wanted."
She loves him but can't trust him, sighed Bridget. "I'm so sorry I hurt you
so badly," said Nick, and promised to show her that he could be faithful.
"You know that no one loves you the way I do," Nick said, pulling Bridget
into an embrace. There will be days she'll need proof, warned Bridget. He'd
give her whatever she needed, replied Nick. They kissed, and Nick carried
her upstairs. "Don't break my heart again," said Bridget, before they did
what soap couples do in front of fireplaces.
Stephanie showed up at Eric's house to gloat. She's letting Bill Spencer
drive nails in Forrester's coffin, accused a livid Eric, who'd just gotten
word that two big boutiques wouldn't be carrying the fall line. Stephanie
was embarrassing herself with her blogs and letting Bill steal her
children's legacy, spat Eric.
At his place, Bill placed a blanket over a conked-out Katie. A woman stopped
by to drop off the purse Katie had left at Caf Russe. Bill retrieved
Katie's wallet, found Katie's driver's license and realized who was passed
out in his bed. A bemused Bill called Donna from Katie's phone, and told her
to get over there. Donna arrived to wake up her soused sister. Bill had been
a total gentleman, slurred Katie when Donna accused Bill of getting her
drunk. Katie threw up in the bathroom and soiled her shirt. As Donna got
ready to take her shirt off to give to Katie, Bill sat down to watch. She'd
just change in the bathroom, said Donna, but found it locked. Bill handed
her something else to give Katie to wear. Why did she marry Eric? asked
Bill. Because she loves him, answered Donna. He loves the Mona Lisa and
that's old too, smirked Bill. Donna thanked Bill for taking care of Katie.
When Bill leaned in to kiss Donna, she pulled away ... but not right away.
