Monday
Stephanie continued to give Brooke advice, urging her to accept that her
time with Ridge is over. Brooke then said it was her turn to do the
talking! She pointed out she and Ridge love each other and have a son and
said he just needs time to heal. "Ridge and I are not over, we will never be
over," she claimed. "I'll handle it. Believe me." She said their love was
eternal and would never die and "knowing that, I'm at peace."
Owen guided new bride Jackie to a bed on the beach and they commenced with
their wedding night. Back in their hotel room, Nick raged to Bridget about
Jackie and Owen's nuptials. When the hotel employee brought by Owen's bills
and Nick spied the enormous bar bill, it only helped convince him Owen was
working his mom. He wanted to head back to LA and call his lawyers and
accountants ASAP, preventing Owen from touching Jackie's assets. Back on the
beach, the newlyweds cuddled. "Till death do us part," promised Owen before
another round of beach blanket bingo. Afterwards, Owen urged Jackie not to
break his heart. Nick ranted to one of his lawyers on the phone and then
Bridget bemoaned the shortness of their honeymoon. Nick agreed to table the
Jackie talk for a bit. "When we get back home, the honeymoon will keep
going," he promised, before carrying Bridget to bed.
Donna tried to comfort Eric as he stared at a chart of plunging sales
figures. Then, Thorne and Felicia came in to officially offer their
resignations from Forrester. When they tried to walk out, Donna stopped
them, beseeching them to try and "come together" and "think about your
father." When they couldn't, Eric gruffly wished them well with their new
lives. "As long as I have Ridge and Brooke and my wife, I will be fine," he
huffed. After they left, he was clearly devastated. In the worst timing,
Brooke appeared shortly thereafter, telling Eric she had to take a leave of
absence! She explained how she'd ended things with Ridge and needed time.
Tuesday
Brooke packed up her office, telling Katie things had to change and there
were too many memories at Forrester. She'd spent years there with Ridge and
couldn't just easily separate the two. At Forrester, Ridge told Thorne and
Felicia his marriage to Brooke was over and he was moving back in with
Taylor and the kids. They told him they were quitting. "Not now," he
pleaded, but they stood firm. Eric came in to tell the three of them Brooke
was leaving the company, too, and asked Ridge if ending the marriage was
really the best decision. "We need Brooke here," he implored. "You've got to
talk her into staying." In Brooke's office, she told Katie it was too late
to change her mind. "You can't throw in the towel...you love him!" Katie
reminded. Brooke noted it was more than Taylor and the drugs that had
destroyed the relationship, it was Rick, too, so "It's over for Ridge and
me." She then asked Katie to help Eric out with his Bill Spencer troubles.
She continued packing and got all misty with Ridge-related memories.
Naturally, that's when Ridge walked in to beg her to stay. In Eric's office,
he opened up to Donna about the sad state of Forrester but assured her it
wasn't her fault. She promised they'd get through this together. "You can't
leave Forrester," Ridge told Brooke. Brooke said they were at a crossroads
going in different directions. "It'd be so much easier to walk away if we
didn't love each other, but that's just not the case," she observed. The duo
talked about the tragedy of losing Phoebe before their wedding and Ridge's
inability to forgive Rick. "I want you to go live your life," Brooke sighed.
"We just can't be together." She reiterated that "this is goodbye," and
tried to walk out. Ridge clutched her in a desperate hug and she sobbed
before pulling away and bolting.
Over breakfast, Taylor and Stephanie marveled over Taylor's family with
Ridge getting a second chance. Taylor revealed she and Ridge weren't sharing
a bed, though, because she wanted to wait and let Ridge initiate things when
he was ready. "I'm trying to be careful," she said, noting Brooke could
easily want Ridge back. Stephanie claimed Brooke knows the marriage
is over. Taylor still wanted to tread carefully. Mid-debate, Thorne called
Stephanie to tell her Brooke was leaving Forrester. Taylor was stunned, but
Stephanie enthused. "I don't think she's going to interfere with your
happiness," she asserted.
Wednesday
At Taylor's, Thomas was hopeful for their family's future, but Taylor didn't
want him to get his hopes up. Out by the pool, a bikini-clad Steffy was
making preparations for a celebratory barbecue and Ridge told her about the
lousy state of Forrester. Steffy urged him to try and find a lasting
happiness with her, Thomas and Taylor. Later, she and Thomas put the
finishing touches on a romantic dinner for two for their parents and
presented it to the duo. Taylor took Thomas aside and insisted Ridge wasn't
ready, while Steffy told Ridge how great it was to have him home. "You guys
used to look at each other with so much love," she sighed of Ridge and
Taylor. Ridge hugged her and then asked the kids for time alone with their
mom. Taylor apologized for the awkward gesture but Ridge said they might as
well take advantage of the dinner. A very pleased Steffy and Thomas watched
their parents slow-dance from behind a potted plant.
At Jackie M, Nick was freaking out about Jackie and Owen's wedding photos
already hitting the magazines. "The press is definitely having a field day,"
Bridget noted, reading aloud about the "cougar" and "Mr. Jackie M." Right on
cue, a beaming Jackie (lei-ed and everything) floated in. Nick went on the
attack, blaming her nuptials on too many mai-tais. "Is that any way to talk
about your new stepfather?" interrupted Owen. "We're family now. Call me
'Dad!'" Nick didn't think that was funny. At all. Jackie kissed her new
hubby in a show of solidarity and got called into Nick's office for a
private haranguing for her efforts. Bridget harangued Owen for his impulsive
scheming as well! Jackie assured Nick she's in total control of everything
and Owen assured Bridget that he loves his wife and would be the "best damn
husband" he could be. Jackie wished Nick and Bridget happiness but wanted
the same for herself. She playfully tied her lei around Nick's head and
asked her son for a hug. Afterwards, she and Owen canoodled and her promised
her their marriage was "for keeps." Bridget related a similar sentiment to a
skeptical Nick and then sexily distracted him with her truly impressive
leather boot planted in the center of his chest.
Thursday
Ridge and Taylor enjoyed slow dancing and the kids left to let them continue to do so. They then settled in to try the romantic dinner. At Brooke's, she was all angsty and alone and Rick checked on her. He suggested he and Steffy transfer to Forrester International so Ridge wouldn't have to see him. Brooke dismissed that option, noting they couldn't change how Ridge feels about Rick. And anyway, Ridge had moved on to Taylor. "I'll be fine," she sighed, noting her and Ridge's love would never die. Back at Taylor's, shetold Ridge she loves him and misses him and they held hands. She didn't want to pressure him, but she also wasn't ready to call it a night. "Then we won't," shrugged Ridge. They cuddled on a pool-side chaise, chuckling over Steffy and Thomas' wanting them together and missing Phoebe. "I think she knew we needed each other," murmured Taylor. "Come home to me, Ridge." She kissed Ridge tenderly and things quickly got heated. Alone, Brooke misted up over photos of her and Ridge.
Eric hung up with a banker and Donna reassured him about the next day's fashion show, certain things would be okay. Pam and Stephanie walked in on them cuddling; Steph had some advice. She suggested Eric retire and take his trophy wife on a trip around the world and let Ridge run the business. Naturally, Eric didn't think that was wise. "I'm afraid that Forrester will fail," Stephanie said. "Forrester Creations is not doomed," insisted Eric. Out in the hall, Pam hoped Eric would listen to Stephanie, and take all the Logans with him. Donna asked Pam to order her a case of honey bears so she and Eric could celebrate after the fashion show. Stephanie, meanwhile, continued to claim that Ridge and Taylor would bring dignity to the company that Eric and Donna couldn't. "It's our children's legacy...it's time to step aside," she said. Eric stood firm and refused to step down. Outside, a cackling Pam ordered ten gallons of honey instead of a case of bears.
In Nick's bedroom, Bridget emerged wearing an extremely sexy animal print lingerie but when she growled, he got major cougar vibes and it reminded him of Jackie. She said he could help her take it off and guided him to doing exactly that. Too bad Nick's obsession with Owen put a major damper on things. Bridget was not pleased by how distracted he got.
Friday
Everyone at Forrester bustled around prepping for the fashion show. At Jackie M, Bridget and Stephanie planned to watch the fashion show as well. Steph told a shocked Bridget that Ridge had moved back in with Taylor. At the office, Ridge and Taylor beamed over spending the night together and the wonderful day ahead of them. Thomas and Steffy soon arrived, sure nothing could go wrong on a day like this. They hugged their dad as Taylor looked on, content. Back over at Jackie M, Clarke came over with munchies for the gang to enjoy while they watched Forrester's show. At Forrester, Bill flirted shamelessly with Katie, who wanted him to report the show fairly and warned him Eric would never sell to him. "You're even more beautiful when you're angry," Bill purred.
One of Eric's bankers talked to him and suggested he close down some shops. He refused! Near the stage, Rocco told Pam about how they were going to drop confetti on Donna during the showstopper. On cue, Donna walked up for some snark with Pammie! "You want your honey bear...you'll get your honey bear," Pam privately chortled. Donna then told Bill she was modeling the showstopper and assured him the show would be a success. Back stage, a hopeful Eric and Ridge hugged. At Jackie M, Owen set up the TV and Nick snarked about what would last longer: his marriage or his job. Thomas asked Rick about how Brooke was doing and then crowed about how Rick wouldn't last much longer at Forrester — or with Steffy. Across the room, Steffy told Marcus about her parents reuniting; Rick watched them hug. Donna greeted buyers and Jarrett while Eric gave the family and employees a rousing pep talk. Cue the show! (Complete with the Jackie M peanut gallery!) Eric opened saying that, like Mark Twain, "rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated." He introduced the "classic" line. The dresses were stunning! Pam snuck off to call Stephanie and tell her not to miss the finale. Ridge and Eric were thrilled, because it looked like they were back in business. The gang at Jackie M were surmising the same thing — with Bridget the only one pleased for Eric's triumph. But then it came time for Donna's showstopper, and Pam went up to the catwalk with a huge gallon tub. When confetti rained down on a white-clad Donna...so did a river of honey! Coated with glitter and honey, she looked ridiculous. It was an utter travesty for Forrester!
