Ridge spelled out to Brooke that he wanted Rick to stay "far away" from
Steffy if he stays in L.A. Ridge also requested that Rick stay out of his
way at work, and Brooke assured that Eric will find the right place for
their son at the office.
"We can't do this," Steffy panted as she broke away from mauling Rick but
they went right back to making out. They started tearing off each other's
clothes but before they could get any farther, Brooke and Ridge showed up on
the doorstep. Steffy hid in the other room and Rick let in his mom and
Ridge. Brooke explained that Ridge doesn't want Rick to move to Paris but
she stipulated that Rick must keep his distance from Steffy, who was
listening to the conversation from the bedroom. Rick expressed his gratitude
and heartfelt condolences about Phoebe. Ridge asked if Rick will stay away
from his family and he agreed, as we saw a tear truckle down Steffy's face.
"I'm calling off my divorce to Donna," Eric announced to Stephanie, who
warned that Donna will eventually end up with a younger man. They argued a
bit and Stephanie finally said, 'You win," but admitted that she is
completely done with Eric — even when he finds himself alone again. Eric
reminded how Steph trapped him into marriage and he wasn't going to be her
whipping boy anymore. She then said that Eric wasn't walking out on her
because she was leaving him. "You'll never be rid of me," Steph pointed out.
Donna was horrified to see Pam, who came in and explained she was in town
for a post-surgery check up. Donna was on edge as Pam apologized for "all
the terrible things I've done to you." She then gave a jumpy Donna a bikini
that she crocheted herself. Pam begged for forgiveness and wanted to stick
around in L.A. "No, no, no," Donna insisted even when Pam assured that she
was taking her medication. Donna then threw out Pam who predicted they would
be friends again.
Tuesday
Eric and Stephanie informed the Forrester clan that he was going to stay
married to Donna. Their kids were shocked. Felicia even began crying, but
Steph told her to get a hold of herself. Eric then announced that he's
appointing Ridge as CEO of Forrester. Ridge was thrilled and looked forward
to returning to work. Eric gave Rick a new office and let him keep his
position. Ridge and Rick were actually kind of civil as Rick congratulated
Ridge. Rick looked forward to starting a new life.... Stephanie thanked
Thorne for trying so hard to get her and Eric back together.
Meantime, Owen told Donna that he's happy for her. Donna then informed him
that Pam is back in town and showed her the bikini Pam had crocheted for
her. Owen wanted to call the authorities, but Donna wanted to concentrate on
the upcoming fashion show. Later, Eric helped her prepare and met Grace,
Donna's look-alike. Grace apologized for deceiving him into thinking Donna
was with Owen, but Eric told her she had nothing to be upset about. Eric
then asked Donna to model the showstopper — and loved the crocheted bikini.
Ridge and Brooke discussed their upcoming wedding plans. She stated that
they were meant to be together since they'd survived so much together. Ridge
was still worried about Steffy because he didn't want her falling into the
"wrong" hands.
Rick and Steffy met up and discussed their kiss. They agreed that they felt
safe when they were together and embraced. Steffy admitted that she's having
a difficult time getting over Phoebe's death, but felt secure when she was
with Rick. Rick stressed that they couldn't let anything happen between them
again.... but they kissed. Again.
Wednesday
Ridge and Brooke looked forward to getting married and ringing in the new
year together. Ridge said that he wanted to be the one to break the news to
Taylor.... Taylor sat in her bedroom and stared at a photo of Phoebe. Steffy
came to check on her mom. Taylor worried that Steffy wasn't handling her
grief over Phoebe's death well. Steffy flashed back to kissing Rick, but
assured her mother that Taylor had nothing to worry about. Soon, Ridge
stopped by and informed them that he and Brooke are still planning to get
married. Taylor feared that Ridge's problems with Rick would affect his and
Brooke's union, but Ridge was willing to forgive him eventually. Ridge
promised to be there for Taylor; they embraced as she cried over Phoebe....
Meanwhile, Brooke shared her plans with Rick. She was happy when Rick gave
them his blessing. Still, she sensed that something was bugging him; Rick
kept flashing back to when he and Steffy were going at it. Brooke stated
that things would be fine in their family, as long as he stayed away from
Taylor and Steffy. "Yeah..." a guilty Rick replied.
Stephanie was happy to see Pam back in town. Pam apologized for her crazy
behavior and explained that she was back in Los Angeles to make amends with
her sister and Donna. Pam was horrified to hear that Eric and Donna
reconciled.
Eric and Donna prepared for the fashion show. Donna enjoyed seeing Eric take
charge; he agreed that he felt fired up — and promised to let Donna
experience that for herself later in the evening. Donna didn't want to wear
Pam's bikini as the showstopper, but Eric insisted. Donna then told him that
Pam was back in town. Eric was alarmed, but promised to be there if Pam came
after her again.
Ridge returned to Brooke and told her that she's the love of his life. He
couldn't wait for 2008 to be over so they could get a fresh start....
Backstage at the fashion show, Rick ran into Steffy. They couldn't keep
their hands off each other and kissed.
Before the fashion show began, Eric surprised Donna with an elegant and
romantic dinner on the runway. They toasted their love, then kissed
passionately.
Thursday
Happy New Year! Recaps will resume Monday.
Friday
Backstage at the fashion show, Rick couldn't take his eyes off of Steffy, who was accompanied by Marcus. Meanwhile, a reporter approached Donna and Stephanie for a comment from "Mrs. Forrester" but Eric intervened and enthused that he was "invigorated" by his first line since his illness. After the journalist observed that it seemed that it was "out with the old and in with the new" with Eric's personal life, Steph suggested the nosy newsman get to his seat. Eric then gave a rousing speech to his employees and family that the swimwear line was "taking a risk" for Forrester Creations but encouraged everyone to "get out there and raise hell." After, Eric assured Stephanie that she wasn't being discarded and he was grateful for her being there. Steph remained a good sport by saying she was glad that he was alive and doing what he loves to do.
The fashion show began and Eric took the stage, where he introduced the new president. Rick came out and, as Steffy looked on adoringly, announced the "new" Forrester Creations. Models clad in surf wear strutted the runway but the designs only garnered lukewarm reactions. Donna began to panic to Owen that wearing Pamela's creations could make Eric a "laughingstock."
While sitting in the audience, Stephanie was surprised to see Pam sitting in another row, then admitted to Taylor that Eric seemed worried about how the fashion show was going. Taylor urged Stephanie to go backstage and comfort her ex. Steph did so and Eric appreciated her support. Owen approached and announced that Donna didn't want to wear the show-stopper, but Eric insisted that his wife do so. Owen went back to Donna and conveyed Eric's wishes to Donna who gave in.
Rick and Steffy became awkward when they bumped into each other backstage. Eric went back out and told the crowd that they would like the finale design which "came from the creative mind of my wife, Donna Forrester." Donna emerged on a surfboard and Pam was shocked to see it was her bikini being modeled. The crowd gave the show-stopper a standing ovation. After the fashion show, an angry Pam confronted Donna.
Ridge and Brooke slipped out of the fashion show and arrived at the beach for their secret wedding. Brooke was thrilled when she saw a huge heart with their names carved out in the sand.
