I agree that Cane & Lily have been making me nauseous of late.I do have one question though: Even if Jill isn't Katherine's daughter, which I agree with all of you that she probably isn't, isn't Cane still a Chancellor because Phillip was his father? So does that entitle him to any of the Chancellor estate or not? Just curious to what you all think.

You know, that would make him the "Chancellor Bastard" which could really add some zest to the storyline. I forgot Phillip was his father, unless there is going to be ANOTHER DNA test that shows he isn't. Wasn't the first test saying he was not Jill's son and they had a 2nd test done. So now that I have my head around it, he could end up a nobody, and he is going to be the one that scammed everyone.........and there goes Neil in protect the Princess role again and quit messing with my I raised her daughter but not biological......Oh, then we could have more fun drama to watch. Whew, that was a lot of thinking all at one time.

Actually, the test came back and said Cain wasn't Jill's son. And then Amber insisted he was and begged that they do another test. Jill said no to another test that she didn't need another test, that she knew in her heart that he was her son. So in essence Cain is really the one who has fooled everyone, and I think that was his whole plan when he first came to town. And who ever he was talking to on the phone when he said, "I'm in." is in on it too. So it will be a doozy when it ALL comes out. Can't wait! Hurry up already,

Actually Cane did take the second test because he wanted to know the truth (this is when he appeared to be a descent guy). And the reason Chloe was able to pass off the baby as his was because the DNA test couldn't rule him out as the father (as stated a day after the baby was born), so that connects him to Billy (there DNA would be simular because of blood ties). But still that wont make him Catherines grandson if Jill is indeed not her daughter...Which would be less icky than saying "my grandmother was my fathers wife when my mother slept with him" There was a article in SOD awhile back that brought up the mystery phone call and the Head of Writing explained they were going down another avenue at one time but descided to go a different route.I am with all of you when I think of this character as a dud. He had so much appeal a year ago, now he is just this annoying arogant character....who suprisingly can run Fortune 500 companies with no education or back ground experience.

Hello DaisyDandy, welcome to the forum.I don't recall a second test being done, and that Jill said she didn't need one. Hmmm. Maybe Labner can clear this one up for us. She's our resident Y&R go to person for a lot of us, LOL. But if I'm wrong...I stand corrected. Also...they expect us to forget about that phone call?! Maybe they will use it for a later time as to not offend our intelligence.

When Catherines DNA test came back wrong, Amber made comment that DNA test can be wrong and made comment about Cane's failed 1st test and that it was the second DNA test that came back right.Also there is no way to explain the blood connection that Billy and Cane have which resulted in the DNA mess with Chloes baby. Only a sibbling/parent would have close enough DNA.

And yet they think us "in tuned" viewers will forget that little tiny phrase. They are gonna hook us again, and I can't wait for that. The Drama is going to be spectaular to watch again, don't you think?

All this DNA error prone results had me confused, until the other night when I was in the local CVS Pharmacy & saw a do it yourself DNA kit on the shelf, yep, you swab the mouth, put it in a baggie & mail it off, with a check for $128.00 to some lab for GUARANTEED results. Guess that's what they've been doing in GC & why all these tests are coming back screwed up.

Jesus Pete, that is like buying a pregnancy test from The Dollar store. Way too funny, but I think you are right, The do it yourself kit seems to be the best plot point yet, and really explains a lot for us.

Well I wasn't going to mention it, but the DNA do it yourself kits were on the same shelf as the PG test's. I guess it's called 1 stop shopping, are you pregger's & who's the daddy all at once.Seriously, Y+R & several other soaps have literally made a mockery of the DNA process by showing they can be manipulated by an unethical lab worker, but when I saw the "Identigene DNA Paternity Test Collection Kit" who claim they are the most reliable DNA source availalbe at CVS I figured that had to be it, GC folks just trying to save a couple $$

i am sooo tired of all this dna drama already. they tested jills, not a match, so um, excuse me writers.. but.. um.. she DOES have a son AND a grand daughter.. oh wait.. mac is coming back, sooooo, is that how they will solve this? do a dna on mac, and then it matches?

So back to the Austrailian Sleeping pill, as we have all digressed. What in the world is the rooting value for he and Lily? And who is she to be so holier than thou over everybody else. I think it should come out that she is infertal and can't carry a child because of her STD (that Kevin gave her I believe) unless she falls into bed with the mustache and his ramped up swimmers. Cane leaves her as he needs to have a "child" to love that isn't her, hee hee hee, and he goes back to being a bartender who had a lot more personality then, and we actually liked him then.
