Well when Brad was killed off, the show made it clear that they had two fan favorites they were looking at for the departure, and it was a tough decision.

They chose Brad over the other fan favorite, because they felt they had more story to tell with that character. I always assumed the other character was also male, and from what they said similar to Brad.

My feeling was that it was Paul Williams who also was a favorite, but didn't have a lot of family ties to Genoa City, and had a little more story left with Nikki.

For whatever reason, my feeling is that Paul could be the one.

And as you said Nikki is the other, and it makes sense because she's said in many interviews that her and Eric Braeden don't even talk between scenes....so I gather one or both isn't easy to work with.

But, if it is a girl who they refer to, could it be Judith Chapman's Gloria who we are hearing rumors about already? I almost wanted to say Jill since her will with Cane and Billy going to war would create story, but she re-signed.

I am thinking it is Melody Thomas Scott on the first issue.. with HER being the "legacy" character.. and the show wanted her out since she wouldnt take a pay cut, but the network, KNEW her STAR power, so they may have interviened so to speak.. Just MY take on the issue... and as for the second one, who apparently should be gone any day now.. well.. I am wondering under two options...Being that old "heather" scipts were recently used for a casting call, wonder if its Vail Bloom......I read there is still some talk about her contract status....so maybe she is the "bitc* " the article spoke of.....other scenario is Judith Chapman.. with it "rumored" robin matson entering the show, this would be the ONLY role I could see her taking over.....she DOES do a good "campy" job at doing "camp".......and who knows.. maybe Judith aka gloworm is hard to work with.......just look at all the "tension" from almost everyone she works with.. stuff like that, no matter HOW professional, has to spill over at some point.......just my take on it...

Hummm.... I'm thinking you are right as Nikki being the one saved. If they are using Heather scripts, it is most likely not Heather who is getting killed off. They just want to recast her so they have an actress with chops who can recover and stand up when Adam is revealed, and who can handle law cases without blaming Newmans. Since we know that the killer is Mary Jane (Adam is much to enmeshed in multiple storyline to kill him off) it has to be someone she comes into contact with AND would seem to her a barrier to Jack - which eliminates Jill and Gloria, all the Winters, and the Chipmunk quartet because they have nothing to do with Jack at the moment.That leaves Paul, Jack, Ashley, Sharon, Phyllis, Nick ... and Mac. J/A/S/P/N are to involved in the "who's your daddy" storyline, so we can eliminate them, although they might be the real target that is "missed" while the other person takes the fall. Which leaves Paul, and Mac. Paul is a possibility, but he really needs to realize it's Patty first - and there hasn't really been any indication that he's clued in yet. And with Billy revealing Victor bringing MJ to town this week, they really need Paul around for the big reveal.Which leaves Mac, whose character was once a "beloved" one with fans, but whose existence really hasn't done anything but chase after Billy since they brought her back. Other than that, she's not had any relationship other than "recrap filler" to other characters.So while we could get a "guess who, big brother?" before being killed, my guess is that it's Mac who gets the axe.

If GloWorm is tough to work with, it's spilling over to a couple stars with some serious bling i.e. emmy's. The list includes Michael, Kevin, and Jack. That can't be good....though I've never heard of issues with Judith. She seems really lovely doesn't she Nymphie64?

I'm doing a rain dance and praying it will be Mac. Maybe MJ can pull out those extensions that were intended to look like Farrah Fawcett's famed hairdo, but are driving me nuts!

The reason we all know Nikki will still be there is the word "legacy" player, and the fact that she was in contract negotiations.However, notice that say said "beloved" character, and NOT integral character. It isn't anyone who is currently embroiled in a heavy storyline. It has to be someone who's not invested heavily into any storyline, but will work as the catalyst to move a storyline along. There are three characters that fit that description - Abby (who is already non-existent), Colleen and Mac. Colleen really hasn't been around that much, but Mac fills other characters in on what's going on without really having a story of her own. That's why I think it's Mac.

I haven't seen Lauren on screen in over a month......There's been too much Mac and not enough of the people that we really like to watch....the only time you see Michael is when someone needs a lawyer....I just feel like TPTB dropped the ball by not showing Lauren at all during this whole Summer "ordeal"......

i love that.. and THAT theory would truly work.. being that this week should be about the time zappato makes his exit. it fits on all levels.. damn them for causing this "needless drama'all over a dog......shessh! Sunny, you give me way too much credit....and I was beginning to think that the Zappato info might not be correct. It seems like it has been a long time since that info had been mentioned. I have to say I am an animal lover and Zappato's death will probably hit me pretty hard. However, at least now the Kitster (Kitty) will not be alone in that great animal kingdom in the sky.
