After over 30 years I haven't been able to watch. I used to at least have it on whether I watched or not. I did that as a support to actors who I have loved for many years. When they brought JL to play Liza I tried to watch, but she is a bad joke. The story is bad & the casting is wrong. Nothing against the actress, but she doesn't fit the role.I love Amanda & Jake , but with Liza mixed in it is turing that story sour.Ryan & Erica.. Kissing your sons grannie is nasty! I can not stomach that match up. I do not want this show to end, I want it fixed, but i can not stomach it as it is now.

Today was a prime example of what is wrong with the show. David is broken hearted about the loss of his 4th? child, Amanda is broken hearted for giving away her child..not that I feel sorry for her after what she has done but still...

And Liza and Jake are doing these comedy routine scenes where Liza is pretending to be in labor with a baby while she will really to give birth to a pillow...and it's supposed to be funny? Jake just lied to his wife and he is lying to Colby ..and he and Liza are joking back and forth.

And then there is Ryan, Aidan and Erica spying on Annie as she has her psych eval. Yes I know she is mentally ill but who are they..the three stooges? Did you ever hear the concept of leaving it to the professionals? Ryan is now a policeman, detective, a lawyer, judge and a psychiatrist all rolled into one..he has in the last weeks told the cops, lawyers, judges, doctors what to do.. the man is a walking joke, not to mention a thief for stealing Cambius from Zach.

This is all just so warped and sick...and Pratt's idea of entertainment? Why is anyone allowed to write this?

It would be David's 4th. Leorna (sp?) ( named after Leo) died, Babe, the baby Krystal miscarried & now this baby of Amanda's. You'd think he would want to play daddy to Marrisa.

All the things you have said have made me incredibly sad.The show is full of unlikable characters which are made even more unlikable by the horrendous writing.I cannot find even the remotest interest in Jake and Amanda, this deplorable sl has ruined them. What they are doing to David is despicable. Is this all Pratt knows? the deplorable and despicable? Where are the compex characterizations, the romance? the friendships? How many children is one character supposed to lose? Is David so unworthy that he cannot have at least one child alive and well? Liza is almost not worth mentioning but the actress is so miscast, you cannot help it. I couldn't find any humor in her scenes today with Jake. It would have been fun if it was a real pregnancy and wasn't part of a very sick and distrubing sl.How long do the ratings need to be this bad before heads roll?

Amanda has seen the vile things David has done to almost everyone in Pine Valley for so many years, and was never punished for any of it. She felt helpless against his threats to take away her baby. I get what you are saying but as much as I have liked Amanda, I can't find much sympathy for her here. Like it or not, she was an adult, she slept with David and he is the father of the baby and she should have dealt with it. I can only boo hoo her choices to a point.. I get her fears, she was right to be afraid.. but IMO she had NO right to tell David his child died.... NO ONE has the right to lie to anyone about that...and then to throw it in his face that his child DIED and it was his fault..was just low. She can blame him for putting her in this situation but once she blamed him for the death of the baby...she went too far and my sympathy for her is gone...I don't really blame Amanda for this...I blame Pratt. His warped sense of right and wrong (on the show, not personally) is premeating the show and making me care little for any of the characters I usually love. I find no one to root for in this entire storyline. On another front, Melissa Claire Egan has always been one of my favorite actresses of the show and I can barely look at her right now..her character is being writen as a joke and a bad joke at that.Why am I not laughing?

Kathy, ITA about Annie..She is a cartoon....I guess we were supposed to enjoy that Adam/Erica/Ryannie scene the other day, but I just keep thinking, what a waste.... having Erica/Adam used like that...Reading the latest spoilers and seeing the show continue to fall apart, what is there to look forward too.Ryan is back too his sick, stalker, obsessed persona. No judge would allow it. The murder victim was her step father, she's a suspect as well. If she was a real attroney she would recuse herself from the case but it seems Pratt thinks fans won't notice these things or doesn't know about them.To me it seems a ploy on the part of Pratt to insert his personal favorite Jamie Luner into every storyline because of how horribly miscast she is and because she has not been well received, or received at all, by the fans in an effort to see where she fits in. So far,she doesn't belong anywhere. The writers should cut their loses and write her out.Kathy, I agree about Amanda. what she is doing is despicable. This type of behavior is what made me hate Bianca, a legacy character. I don't care how popular Jake and Amanda may become, this sl is killing them just as Zach as Bianca's baby's father killed the character of Bianca....and Jake 's involvment here should cause him to lose his license. Essentially for me, he's involved in baby blackmarketing. I won't even get started on the medical issues. Friday's show made a mockery of the fans and modern medicine. I want AMC fixed and that means finding a writer who understands the genre,respects the incredibly talented cast, history of the show and the integrity of the characters. This isn't Pratt.

I'm not in the medical field at all, and even I can see the horrible breach of medical ethics week after week on this show. I thought it was standard practice to have a medical adviser on board to keep it real? Probably not worth the money to producers who just don't give a damn. Cara, this must be very difficult for you to watch, when they go off the trail so often.

I'm going to be very cynical and ask if NuLiza will "give birth" to her baby today and still have more clothing on her than she did when she lounged around Zach's office drinking his alcohol and whining about how she might not get "her" baby. Realism disappeared from AMC a long time ago. Common sense and some kind of decency on the part of some of its residents would be nice, though. Liza's either a witch or a moron. Jake's insistence on going ahead with this plan makes him mean and arrogant. Tad's happy go lucky, but he's brain damaged, I think, and he gets terrible headaches, which makes me wonder if I'm supposed to like his new personality if it comes with a price.As for my favorite couple, Zendall, I wish the writing were better. I've watched and rewatched TK and AM's last two weeks of scenes, and they're doing a great job with a lame story, and AMC is not even scratching the surface of all the things wrong with their previous marriage. There's been no progress, except that there's less Ryan, and Kendall trusts Zach with her life. It's frustrating and sad. I wish the headwriter would learn from his many, many mistakes, just once.

Personally, I wish the HW from hell would just go...and take his pets with him...Frons, Pratt, Carruthers all need to be replaced..The worst recast in history of daytime needs to exit fast...JL should head back to CA and hope for a job on the new MP....Have UnLiza be Stuart's killer and reveal that Ryan was working with her to set up Zach... Kill two birds with one stone..Bring back Jack, Brook....Find a damn HW who can actually write a decent stroy...and a head of ABC with a brain...

I left the room and recorded to watch later but the parts i did watch made me want to punch someone for not paying attention to detail. Today with the stupid stuff going on with the show I was just irritated and annoyed at the moronic things happening. Liza asking colby to stay with her and not enough blood for a birth. Liza not all sweaty and flushed like a real birthing mother. the baby has clothes there how will they explain that away? Tad has a car seat in his car. Hello! Dumb Jake had them take him to the hospital so Tad cant help cover up all these blatant signs /clues that something is not right. Can Palmer come home already and fight with Adam like the good old days.

Is there any wonder why the Jack and J/E fans are tuning OUT in droves? We only had Jack being Kendall's lawyer and now they are taking that away too? For what reason? Did they say why he isn't her lawyer anymore? Now there is no reason to even read scoops. I am so done with this show. Pratt is the worst thing to ever happen to AMC and I am tired of being the fan bases that always gets screwed.
Ryan and Adam as Erica's love interests don't do it for me, She has no romantic chemistry with either one.

Oh and BTW, since Stuart is Liza's brother-in-law./stepfther, isn't that a conflict of interest? Pratt stinks

I have not tuned in for over 2 weeks and it sounds like I'm not missing anything except a huge train wreck of a show. I have a dvr, but why bother?? I will not give ratings to this crappy show until Ryan and fake Liza go....Are there any happy AMC fans left??
