Another DAYS Exit: Sorel Out, Too
By SOD Posted: Jun 2, 2011
Louise Sorel (Vivian), who returned to Salem in 2009, is the second actor to get cut in the major shakeups in Salem. She talked to TV Guide's Michael Logan about the news: www.tvguide.com.

Best wishes to Louise Sorel as she leaves Days. I enjoyed watching her performance when she was trapped in the tomb. Vivian deserved it! (LOL!) But good acting.
My Mom is not a fan of soaps in general, but even she watched the scenes involving Vivian being trapped in the tomb. Mom felt sorry for Vivian! (Mom didn't know of the evil Viv had done. Even after I told her what Viv had done, Mom still felt sorry for her!)
From what Ken Corday said in the Soap Opera Digest interview, right now there are characters that are just not working for the show. I could understand that in the case of Vivian. For what ever reason, the writers (not the new ones) didn't really create a "place" for Vivian other than revenge. That only goes so far.
The nice thing about Days is that cast members who are written off the show or elect to leave, often have the opportunity to come back. I do hope if at some point in the future Louise Sorel has the opportunity to return, she will.
glad to see this character exit the show. Best of luck, Louise. Hope there is a new and exciting opportunty ahead.
I love Louise Sorel (Vivian) on Days, she brings the comedy to the show while concurrently bring the evil out of Stefeno, Brady, Nicole, and Maggie.
Sad to see Louise go especially since Quinn is her son. Love Quinn and am hoping he sticks around. I'm really upset with what Ken is doing to the show.
