Monday
Sam came to see Erica and gave her the good news that the cops were dropping
all the charges against Dre. He reported that he and Dre were going to
travel the state campaigning together and invited Erica to come. She turned
him down, noting that she needed to stay and get her life back together.
Later, Erica fantasized about Jack calling and saying he wanted her back. In
her reverie, she blasted him for having taken Carmen to bed.
Kendall walked in on Zach and his goons roughing up Josh. She refused to
leave when Zach ordered her to go home. Zach explained that Josh had stolen
20 million dollars from the company. Kendall defended her brother, certain
there must be some misunderstanding. A call from Paris confirmed to Zach
that no one had hacked into Josh's computer. With no other recourse, Josh
confessed to his crime. Kendall was crushed. Zach made it clear that paying
back the money wouldn't be sufficient recompense. As Zach's heavies led him
away, Josh begged Kendall to stop Zach from having him killed. She asked her
hubby if he planned to hurt her brother. Zach said he was going to make Josh
disappear. Kendall then created a distraction by pepper-spraying the goons
and screamed, "Run, Josh!" He bolted. Zach sent his minions after him.
Kendall warned Zach that if he hurt Josh, they were finished. An
understandably panicked Josh showed up at Erica's door and told her that if
Zach found him, he was a dead man.
Greenlee and Aidan made up after their argument over Ryan. He assured her
that they were going to be okay. Aidan apologized for having acted like
Kendall, issuing her ultimatums. Greens tried to explain to Aidan how
significant Ryan is to her. She told her husband that she was more in love
with him (Aidan) than ever.
Ryan came to the mansion in a hurry; Annie reported that Emma had had a
nightmare about never seeing Ryan again. Annie's soft approach to Ryan
confused him, considering that earlier in the evening she had told him she
didn't want him anywhere near Emma. She apologized for having said such
things and got her hopes up about the possibility of a reconciliation until
he dashed them by saying that she was right to have left him. "I don't love
you," he said. She smacked him and reminded him that Greenlee wants Aidan,
not him. She told Ryan that he disgusted her and that Greenlee couldn't give
him what she could (children).
Angie was crushed when Frankie got papers ordering him back to Iraq. They
were called to the hospital due to a bus crash. Jake picked up on Angie's
distress; she filled him in on the army's summons. Jake knew of a way that
reservists can apply to postpone their redeployments and told Angie about
it. When he asked Frank if he'd consider it, Frank said no.
Pete came to the mansion to check on Colby. Colby reminded Pete that she
doesn't have feelings for him and sent him on his way. An exiting Pete ran
into Annie, who, with the help of the voice of dead Richie, executed a new
scheme to help her win back Ryan and to help Pete get Colby. Annie fell into
Pete's arms on purpose to make her arms bruise. Pete pretended he could hear
Opal calling him and bolted. Annie told "Richie" that she needs to kill
Greenlee.
Tuesday
Visions of Richie taunted Annie, who was plotting to off Greenlee. Annie and
"Richie" debated how she should go about executing her scheme. Pete returned
to the mansion and his jaw dropped as he ogled a skinny-dipping Annie. Annie
emerged from the pool, put on her robe and listened to a stammering Pete try
to explain his presence. Annie chatted Pete up about Colby with an eye
toward getting him to be an ally. She removed Pete's glasses and told him he
looked very handsome without them. "Good luck with Colby," she said, taking
her leave. He thanked her and put his glasses back on. When Annie returned
to her room, Richie mocked her for her chat with Pete. "It's all part of the
plan," Annie calmly explained, saying that she wanted Ryan to cry in her
arms when Greenlee died.
Kendall warned Zach not to hurt her brother or else. He refused to back down
despite the case Kendall made in Josh's defense. "I don't give seconds
chances," seethed Zach. Zach was upset with his team's inability to track
down Josh.
Josh told Erica that Zach was after him but lied about the reason why. He
swore to La Kane that he hadn't stolen any money. When Josh said he wanted
to leave town, Erica tried to dissuade him. Kendall met up with her brother
after Erica promised to take care of Zach. Josh and Kendall argued and he
cried as he explained that he felt like a freak show. Kendall was upset to
hear that her brother didn't feel their family's love. Kendall summoned
Ryan, who was in the middle of a motorcycle ride. She told Ryan that she
needed him to help her make Josh disappear.... Erica arrived to see Zach,
who wasn't amenable to Erica's pleas on her son's behalf. Erica and Zach
returned to the yacht club and Kendall and Ryan said they were too late:
Josh was gone. Ryan said that he would be responsible for paying Zach back.
Angie begged Frank to reconsider going back to Iraq. Frank said he had no
other choice. Jesse arrived at the hospital and Angie delivered the news.
Angie blamed Frank's desire to re-enlist on Jesse's decision to go back to
the force and stormed off. When Angie calmed down, Jesse, thinking of
telling his mysterious caller that they needed to meet, noted that there are
things about his past that he hasn't told her. "Tell me now," she suggested.
Jesse spoke of his time in the psychiatric hospital; Angie told him to take
the time he needed to deal with his memories, and then come back to her.
Jesse promised that if Frank went back to active duty, he would be right by
her side.
In her room on the yacht, Taylor thought back to a romantic massage she
received from a lover. The reverie was interrupted by the sound of an
explosion in her memory. Frank came to inform Taylor about his deployment;
she called him a lucky bastard and threw her arms around her. Taylor was
aghast at Frank's lack of enthusiasm for returning to Iraq. Taylor made an
impassioned speech to Frank about his duty. "Suck it up," she suggested,
reminding him that it's an honor to serve.
Wednesday
Babe and JR discussed the apparent turn-around in Adam. JR said he didn't
trust his dad; Babe replied that she didn't blame him..... Adam insisted to
JR that Colby hadn't been drinking at the launch party and had merely
suffered a 24-hour bug.... Pete came to see Adam at the mansion and Pete
wanted to know what he next step was for his Bella-tainting concoction,
Blast. Adam told him their deal was off. Pete threatened to reveal to Colby
that Adam drugged her, forcing Adam to reconsider ("pure Cooney," he sniffed
of Pete's tactics).
Kendall went to see Zach at his office. Zach remained livid over Kendall
helping Josh escape his wrath. After learning that Ryan was now working for
Zach, Kendall went to Fusion and confided in Greenlee about her marital
woes. Ryan told Zach about ending his marriage to Annie. After Zach gave
Ryan his first assignment (to fire whomever let Josh's embezzlement slip
through the cracks), Ryan received a restraining order from Annie.
Annie dreamed about poisoning Greenlee.... Babe and Annie came to work. Babe
told Annie that Adam keeps a gun in the parlor. Babe noticed the bruises on
Annie's arms and Annie claimed that Ryan was responsible. Kendall refused to
believe it. Richie's apparition urged Annie to be proactive about getting
rid of Greenlee and Annie got an idea when Greens described her plans for
the evening (watching a horror movie alone)..... Kendall went back to the
casino and tried to get through to Zach, who was resentful of all the drama
she created in their lives and was upset that his focus on her problems had
cost him so much at work. Kendall tabled the matter by forcefully seducing
her.
Tad and Krystal went to see a family counselor about Kathy's troubles. Tad
jumped to Kathy's defense, but Krystal pointed out that Jenny could end up
getting hurt as a consequence of Kathy's actions. After the session, Tad was
questioning his skills as a parent, but Krystal told him he was a great dad
and assured them that they and their daughters would get through this
crisis.
Babe and JR kicked off a romantic evening together. JR saw Pete and Adam
together (Adam was informing Pete of when the next shipment of Bella was
arriving and Pete was asking for instructions on how much tainting to do)
and demanded to know what the powwow was about.... Annie secretly snatched
Adam's gun from the parlor. Pete almost caught her, so Annie buttered him
up, then went to check on a snoozing Emma. Later, she sneaked out of the
mansion and crept into Greenlee's place via the fire escape while Greens
watched her scary flick. Tad stopped by looking for Aidan, momentarily
interrupting Annie's murder plot. With prodding from Richie's ghost, Annie
was poised to pull the trigger until she collapsed in terrible pain.... Ryan
barged into the mansion and demanded to see Annie. Ryan was stunned when
Babe accused him of having roughed Annie up. Adam tried to throw Ryan out.
Ryan refused to be kept from Emma and brushed past JR, Pete, Babe and Adam.
Thursday
After their romp in Zach's office, Kendall assumed their hard times are
over, but Zach was still angry about her going to Ryan for help. Kendall
promised to be more honest with her husband and left to spend time with the
kids. But as she was running out, Erica rushed in and said she needs to
speak with Kendall but Zach cannot know that she's there. Erica asked if
there's any way she can get in touch with Josh, but Kendall insisted that no
one can know where Josh is. When Kendall recommended they act like Josh no
longer exists, Erica said it's not that easy.
Annie shakily pointed a gun at an unsuspecting Greenlee but couldn't bring
herself to shoot. Suddenly, she slumped down in agony, clutching her
abdomen. Greenlee turned when she heard a thud but then went back to
watching her horror movie. Annie sneaked away unseen, but knocked a potted
plant over. Greenlee saw the overturned plant and thought someone had broken
in, so she called Jake.
As Adam's guards tried to haul out Ryan, Adam reminded Lavery that he is
breaking Annie's restraining order. Ryan insisted that he's never hurt Annie
and was not the cause of her bruises. Adam and JR argued that Annie has
never been any trouble to them and they do not think she lied about her
injuries, but Ryan warned them that this isn't the first time Annie's lied
to get her way. Unable to reason with Adam and JR, Ryan stormed upstairs to
her room. Annie miraculously returned to the bedroom by the time Ryan opened
the door. Babe, Adam and JR took Emma downstairs for ice cream, leaving Ryan
and Annie to discuss their differences. Suddenly, Annie was hit with another
pain and doubled over. Ryan carried her downstairs, insisting that they go
to the hospital.
After Jake checked out Greenlee's apartment, she was embarrassed and certain
she had overreacted. Greenlee changed the subject and asked about his fling
with Amanda. Jake was happy to report that he and Amanda have an
uncomplicated, drama-free relationship. Married life is incredible, Greenlee
told him, mentioning that she and Aidan did have their first fight as
newlyweds. When Jake asked if it was about Ryan, she lied that it was about
a broken wedding gift. Jake received a panicked call from Ryan and said
they'd better get to the hospital.
As Annie was wheeled in to the ER, she pleaded, "Do whatever you need to do.
I can't lose this baby." After explaining her symptoms to the doctor, she
instructed Ryan to leave her alone. In the waiting room, Greenlee and Ryan
watched coverage of 9-11 remembrance for a moment and recognized that their
problems are so much smaller. But Ryan wanted Greenlee to know that he had
nothing to do with Annie's bruises and she promised to trust him.
Pete listened as Adam defended him to JR, noting that Petey's a better
influence on Colby than her "hit-and-run cronies." He also commended Babe on
her keen business sense regarding Bella. But once JR was out of the room,
Pete congratulated Adam on successfully scamming his son, noting that JR has
no idea Adam's going to snag Fusion from him. Adam said if Colby is actually
interested in Pete, then Adam might agree not to interfere but warned Pete
against the deceitful nature of women. JR, meanwhile, hinted to Babe that
his dad is up to something. Later, they read Emma a good-night story
together and shared a sweet moment after she fell asleep.
At ConFusion, Erica sought Jack's help but their conversation was
interrupted when Carmen showed up for a date with Jack. Carmen sensed
Erica's stress level and asked if there's anything she can do. Erica left
them to their date and headed over to Adam's, but he wouldn't even let her
in.
Zach called Kendall but Rachel was still watching the kids. Rachel said
Kendall asked her to stay while Kendall checked on someone in the hospital.
Kendall arrived at the hospital and jumped to the conclusion that Annie was
creating more drama and Zach followed, while Annie had her sonogram and
feared she was losing the baby.
Friday
At ConFusion, Tad grilled Jake about the nature of his relationship with
Taylor. Jake denied that there was anything going on between them and told
Tad that he is seeing Amanda. Jake excused himself; Jesse met up with Tad
but quickly departed after a mysterious call (for the station, he said).
On the yacht, Amanda asked Taylor point-blank if she was interested in Jake.
Taylor said Jake is interesting but that is it. The ladies bonded as
Amanda set a romantic table for Jake. Amanda forgot a critical component to
the dinner she was preparing so raced out to the store, leaving Taylor in
charge of finishing the set-up. She put on some music, lit some candles and
fantasized about sharing a slow dance with her beloved Brot. Jake walked in
and his eyes met Taylor's.
At the Hubbards' loft, Angie and Frank got into it over Frank's decision to
return to Iraq. She tried to persuade him to fake a condition in order to
avoid redeployment but he refused to entertain the idea. A weeping Angie
maintained that Frank going back into the services would kill her. Angie
went to Fusion to talk to Randi about Frank and Randi reeled from the news
that Frank had been called back to Iraq. Randi then met up with Frank and
pleaded with him to reconsider reenlisting. Frank noted that he had many
important reasons to stay, Randi included, but that he couldn't skirt his
responsibilities to the army. She proposed that they run away. "I'm
serious," she said. "I won't let you go."
Angie met up with Tad at ConFusion and he explained why Jesse was absent.
Jesse's phone rang and Angie answered; it was another hang-up, sparking
Tad's suspicions. Angie fretted that someone might be after her husband.
At the hospital, Annie and Ryan had a calm discussion about the recent heat
between them (the restraining order she filed, the way he barged into her
room). Ryan, Greenlee, Kendall and Zach convened in the hallway, where Ryan
updated them on Annie's condition. Richie appeared to Annie and praised how
perfectly her plan was going, riling her up. Kendall and Greenlee squabbled
over Kendall's conviction that Ryan needs to leave Annie for good. Kendall
crept in to see Annie, who told her to leave. Kendall refused and tried to
force Annie to admit that she was faking her health problems in an effort to
"beat" Kendall and Greenlee. She collapsed in pain again, which Kendall
initially scoffed up, but ultimately screamed for help.... Zach took Ryan
aside for coffee and a chat. Ryan expressed his fear that he didn't deserve
to be a dad but Zach reassured him that he's a great father.... Ryan and
Zach ran into Annie's room when Kendall summoned medical attention for
Annie. The doctor confirmed to Annie that she had miscarried.... Zach
scolded Kendall for accusing Annie of faking. Greenlee was the next to come
down on Kendall for her behavior. Kendall countered that Greens wanted Ryan
with Annie to protect her own marriage to Aidan. "Admit it!" she barked.
Aidan arrived just as Kendall was hissing that up against Ryan, Aidan
wouldn't stand a chance.... Annie broke down crying in Ryan's arms. "What
did Kendall say to you?" he hissed. "It's not her fault," wept Annie. "It's
mine. I did this. All of it." She told him that she had done horrible things
and kept them a secret. "But now I need to tell you everything," she sighed.
