AMC Week of October 8, 2007
Monday
Annie tried to contain her panic when she saw Emma in Richie's arms. Richie
identified himself to Emma as the little girl's uncle. Babe was confused by
the attitude people had toward "Wes." Tad explains the man's true
identity. Babe had a hard time believing what she was hearing. By the time
she went back outside to fetch Wes and prove her point, he was gone. Annie
now had Emma, but Tad confirmed that they had lost sight of Richie. Adam
and JR both came down on Babe for allowing Little Adam to cavort with an
ex-con. Greenlee and Annie both worry when they are unable to reach Aidan or
Ryan. Annie told Lt. Perry that she had gone to the cabin with the kids and
Richie by choice; he hadn't kidnapped them. Annie stressed to Babe that Wes
had only been using Babe to get to her. Adam consoled Krystal, which
attracted Tad's attention. JR, meanwhile, used his bond with Little Adam to
intensify Greenlee's pangs for a child of her own. Colby speculated to Babe
that Richie, not Annie, was telling the truth.
Kendall reeled when Zach disclosed that Hannah had asked him to impregnate
her. Kendall believed Zach when he assured her that he did not fulfill her
request. Josh, meanwhile, confronted Hannah, demanding to know the real
reason she took off. Hannah weaved a story to Josh about how she had been
obsessed with Zach, then phoned her secret ally and requested a meeting....
Kendall turned down Zach's offer to fire Hannah. Josh then informed Zach
that Hannah is definitely up to something, something more than she's letting
on, and volunteered to keep an eye on her.... Hannah met with her ally:
Adam. Hannah told him she needed more time to track down the money Zach
extorted from him. Adam hissed that she'd better hurry up, making reference
to the secret of hers that he is protecting.
Ryan and Aidan used force to drag Richie to the pump house. There, Richie
denied their allegations about him stalking Annie and attacking Aidan on the
beach. Richie insisted that Annie was setting him up to look like a psycho.
Aidan asked for a few minutes alone with Richie so that he could use his
Special Ops training to try and extract a confession. Back at The Comeback,
Lt. Perry got word that Aidan and Ryan were spotted an hour ago at the
Pine Cone. Ryan called Annie and gave her a pared-down version of what he'd
been up to. Annie reported to Lt. Perry that Ryan was with Richie, but she
didn't know where. Tad and Lt. Perry deduced that they had taken Richie to
the pump house.... Ryan went back into the pump house and was alarmed by
what he saw: Richie standing on a chair with a noose around his neck. Ryan
ordered Aidan to get Richie down from the chair just as the cops arrived.
Richie took advantage of the opportunity to kick the chair out from under
him, making it look as though the men were trying to murder him. Ryan and
Aidan sprang to action to stop him from dying."

Tuesday
At the Montgomery manse, Ava walked in on Lily preparing a list of things
Ava will need for her wedding. Ava told Lily she hadn't accepted Jonathan's
proposal, but Lily was sure she soon would. Ava said she didn't want to hurt
Lily and pointed out that Lily still loves Jon, which Lily denied. Ava
fantasized about winning an acting award, but the reverie dissolved into a
nightmare in which she was harried and pregnant.
At ConFusion, Amanda gave Jonathan a tough time about his imminent nuptials.
Jon insisted that marrying Ava won't harm Lily and told Amanda to back off.
The police, with Annie in tow, burst into the pump house right after Richie
kicked away the chair underneath him to make it look as though Ryan and
Aidan were hanging him. Aidan claimed responsibility as Lt. Perry tried to
revive Richie; Ryan barked that Richie had done this to himself. Lt. Perry
arrested Ryan and Aidan. At the police station, Ryan and Aidan explained
that they had been trying to extract a confession from Richie. Greenlee
showed up and thanked Annie for calling her. Greens and Annie commiserated
over how Richie had made himself look like the victim and Ryan and Aidan
look like the villains. Jack got a report from Lt. Perry about the charges
against Ryan and Aidan. The ice between Greenlee and Annie thawed a bit when
Annie noted that unlike her brother, Greenlee has a conscience.... Jack got
the skinny on the Richie situation from Aidan and Ryan.... Annie told
Greenlee that she, Annie, was the only one who could stop Richie.... Ryan
and Aidan were led to their cell.
At the hospital, Julia tended to Richie. Babe arrived, having been tipped
off by Julia that Richie was hospitalized. Babe berated Richie for having
been dishonest with her. Rich gave his version of events, in which Annie,
and not he, was the guilty party. She had a tough time swallowing his
account. As Richie made his case, his dad, Walter, showed up and embraced
him. When Annie showed up, a screaming Walter demanded that she leave. "You
disgust me!" he barked.
Wednesday
At the police station, Greenlee visited Aidan and Ryan and had to explain
Annie's absence to Ryan. Ryan beseeched Greenlee to go get Annie away from
Richie. Aidan made Ryan promise to call off the surveillance on Greenlee and
he agreed (for real this time). After Greenlee left, Zach entered and Ryan
sought his advice on getting Richie to disappear for good.
That should be everything except for GH and B&B. Yay!
At the hospital, Kendall got the skinny from Annie on Ryan's arrest and the
threat Richie poses. Kendall offered to help Annie with Richie and
distracted the guard outside of his room so that Annie could slip inside.
Harsh words were exchanged as Annie demanded to know what she had to do to
get Richie to leave her family alone and get out of town. He refused to make
a deal.... Greens showed up and when Kendall was on the icy side, it didn't
escape Greens's notice. Kendall surprised Greens by saying they take their
reconciliation to the next level. The women then tried to soothe a
distressed Annie, who headed to the police station to tell Ryan about her
botched attempt to make a deal with Richie. Lt. Perry then showed up to take
Ryan and Aidan to their arraignment.... Kendall redoubled her resolve to get
revenge on Greenlee after having horrible flashbacks to the day of the
accident.... Aidan, Annie, Greenlee and Ryan were on guard when Richie
showed up at the arraignment and said he was there to make things
right.
Jonathan and Ava met up at The Comeback. When photographers showed up at
Ava's behest, she accepted his proposal (with a tattoo that said "Yes").
Once the paparazzi had finished with Ava, she rejoined Jon and picked up on
his discomfort with the public display she'd arranged. Jon assured her that
he wasn't having doubts.... Krystal introduced new pal Hannah to Adam but
when she caught the tail end of their private discussion, she called them
out on already being acquainted. They denied being co-conspirators and once
Krystal was out of earshot, Hannah assured Adam that she was making progress
on the Zach front.
JR joined Amanda in bed on the yacht. She confronted him about the file
she'd found among his belongings marked Slater. He swore her to secrecy
before revealing that Zach was investing in his network and that they were
planning a scheme that just may make people feel sorry for Greenlee. They
then hit the sheets. JR reeled from Amanda's revelation that Ava and
Jon are altar-bound and went to The Comeback to tell Ava she can't marry
Jonathan if she wants to do business with him.
Thursday
In the courtroom, Richie announced to Ryan, Jack, Jonathan, Annie, Greenlee,
Zach and Aidan that he was there to tell his side of the story. Richie said
that Ryan and Aidan should go free; they hadn't done anything wrong. Richie
claimed that he put the noose around his own neck. Ryan and Aidan were
suspicious of Richie's motives, but he succeeded in having the charges
dropped. Greenlee and Zach both offered their support to Annie. Ryan
confronted Richie and the men made it clear that they would not back down
from each other, with Richie insisting on not leaving town.... Jack
congratulated Jon on his engagement....
At the Slater house, Kendall explained her plan to frame Greenlee to Spike
and wrote more letters "from Greenlee to Spike." Her conscience manifested
itself in the form of an imaginary Greenlee, but Kendall did her best to
ignore it/her. Zach returned home as Kendall was angrily talking out loud
(to herself, it seemed) and tentatively queried, "Kendall?"
Outside of The Comeback, Ava celebrated JR's news (he'd gotten funding for
their online network). JR warned Ava that she stood to ruin everything by
marrying Jonathan and laughed at her "yes" tattoo. JR and Ava frolicked
together and ended up in a passionate kiss; Ava broke away, but only
briefly. As they went at it, Greenlee and Aidan sat down for a drink. Aidan
invited Greenlee to join him on his next investigating mission but she
worried about the effect on her reconciliation with Kendall of leaving
town.... Ava ran off after tearing herself away from JR. Once she and JR had
gotten themselves dusted off, Jon rejoined Ava and took her away to
celebrate Ryan's release.
Friday
Annie, tired of fighting, invited Richie over for dinner while Ryan was away. Although he was impressed by her cooking skills, he threatened to take seven years away from her life like she did to him. Annie told him there was no way he could do that and warned that Ryan was a loose cannon right now and could be capable of anything. Richie said he wasn't scared of Ryan and tried to leave, but Annie said she wasn't through with him yet. She showed him photos of Emma and Ryan and begged him not to ruin their perfect life. Richie reminded her that he was doing this for their mom, just as Ryan walked in and was furious that Annie had endangered herself by letting Richie come over.
Kendall assured Zach that she would deal with "this whole thing with Greenlee" her way, before they snuggled up on the sofa and looked forward to life getting back to normal. She was worried about Spike going through cochlear implant surgery; he soothed her fears and stopped her from obsessing about how it's all Greenlee's fault. Kendall assured Zach that she was fine before he headed out to the office. She promised to stop talking to the wall, but quickly pulled out her laptop and got back to Greenlee-blogging.
Greenlee got a little skittish when Aidan mentioned digging up skeletons in Richie's past, but she insisted she was only concerned for his safety. He sincerely thanked her for convincing Jack to take his case, then gave her a kiss. Greenlee thanked him for being the one who believed in her after the accident. "It was my pleasure," he told her. Aidan and Greenlee discussed taking a trip together when Kendall called and asked Greenlee if she could come over. Greenlee mentioned that she was going out of town, but they could meet up when she returns. Kendall feigned disappointment, then apologized for pushing the "friendship." Greenlee said it was fine and promised to call when she got back, but her guilt soon got the better of her and she decided to stick around town. Kendall was happy to hear that her manipulation worked when Greenlee called back to set up a meeting. "I really want this," Greenlee smiled to Aidan.
Adam approached JR, who boasted that his business is "skyrocketing" before mentioning Ava. Adam reminded his son that Ava's fianc has killed people. Upon spotting JR when she walked in with Jonathan, Ava asked for a private table, but Jon wanted to show off his bride-to-be. When they sat down, Ava told Jonathan that he deserves to be with someone better than her, someone nice like Lily. He didn't want to hear it, and assured her that he couldn't wait to start a life with her. Jon could see that something was wrong and it wasn't just cold feet. She said it had to do with her and JR. She admitted that JR raised the money for the network. Jon said they would find a way to deal with JR together. Ava remarked to Jon that she'd never been in love like this and if she ever made him unhappy, she would just kill herself. They started kissing.
Meanwhile, JR told Adam that Ava's got something special and Jon doesn't deserve to marry her. JR goaded Adam into admitting that he still loves Krystal and asked just how he plans to win Krystal's heart again. Adam turned the spotlight back on JR and warned his son to not get involved with someone who could get in the way of his dreams. Adam left and Zach took his place at JR's table.
Ryan pulled a gun on Richie and despite Annie's pleas, claimed it was the "only way." She went to grab the gun and was shot accidentally in the stomach. She looked at Ryan in disbelief as she crumpled to the ground.
