AMC Week of October 5, 2009
Monday
Jesse, Frankie and Randi discussed Madison's imminent trip to Oak Haven.
Meanwhile, Madison threatened Angie, who held her own. Madison's father
showed up looking for her. Frankie was baffled when Randi expressed some
sympathy for Madison. Jesse told Madison's dad, James, about Madison's
suicide attempt, which he didn't take very seriously. Frankie entered
Madison's room and she told him that before she had seen him with Randi, she
had never witnessed true love before. Madison wept that no one could ever
love her. James walked in and dissed Madison to Frankie. After his harsh
dressing down, Madison was devastated. In the hallway, Frankie chastised him
for berating his suicidal daughter. The Hubbards realized that they had to
move Madison to Oak Haven right away, before James ran interference. Angie
admitted to Jesse that she had been momentarily tempted to submit to
Madison's demand for pills. James returned with his attorney but Angie and
Jesse told him that they were too late — Madison was gone.... As they drove
to Oak Haven, Madison told Frankie that she wished she was someone that he
could like. Madison offered Frankie the key to her safety deposit box,
telling him that she wants him to have his life back. Just then, their car
got into an accident.
Tad blasted Krystal for having thrown herself at David. They debated whether
their relationship deserved a second chance; Tad was skeptical given
Krystal's past with David.
Liza and Jake tried to keep their cool when Bailey showed up at the yacht
club in search of Liza. Liza asked Jake to get Stuart out of there; he
complied. Liza approached Bailey, who was staring at Amanda and Trevor and
hoped that Trevor was hers. Bailey told a jumpy Liza that she can't stop
thinking about her son. David interrupted to ask why Liza's client was
staring at his son. Liza ushered Bailey upstairs, where the heartbroken girl
told Liza how her parents had forced her to give her son away. Liza told
Bailey that she knew her son's adoptive parents and that they love the baby
very much.... David and Amanda took Trevor back to Wildwind and continued to
bond over the baby. David pointed out that they needed to have the baby
christened.
Jake brought Stuart over to the Martin house. Tad was upset when Jake told
him about Bailey showing up to see Liza and even compared Jake to David. Tad
resolved to see to it that Liza did the right thing and stormed out. Tad
showed up as Bailey was telling Liza that she would never be able to forget
about her child. Liza told Bailey that she would talk to the adoptive
parents "and see what she could do." Jake, meanwhile, headed over to
Wildwind and asked if the offer still stood for him to spend time with his
family. David suggested that they go to the park; Jake replied that David
should take a walk while he and Amanda and the baby stayed behind.
Tuesday
Madison and Frankie got into a car accident. Frank came to and tended to Madison.
David left Wildwind to give Jake and Amanda some time together with Trevor. Jake apologized to Amanda for how he had been treating her. She made it clear that he had hurt her by not trusting her. They resolved to make their marriage work as Jake noted that they had love on their side. They raced upstairs and tore each other's clothes off, making love in Amanda's bedroom.
Madison's father, James, reacted badly to the news that Madison had already been taken to Oak Haven and threatened to speak to Angie's superior. Jesse and Angie then told Randi that Frankie had taken Madison to Oak Haven, which upset her; she worried what Frankie might do. Just then, Angie and David were paged to the ER and Madison was rushed in. Randi and Jesse were relieved that Frankie was okay. David thought he might have to operate.
James returned and blasted the Hubbards for his daughter's car accident. Frankie told Jesse and Randi that Madison had been handing him the key to the safety deposit box at the time of the accident. Jesse was concerned about getting the key out of the wreckage. Frankie assured Randi that he didn't doubt that Madison, not Randi, killed Henry. He then visited Madison, who had regained consciousness. She told him to get the tapes. Jesse listened as Madison confessed to Frank that she killed Randi. Frankie told Randi about the confession and she was thrilled.... Madison was taken into surgery.... Angie told Jesse that Madison's confession made her believe in the power of redemption.... The key was missing from the crash site. Jesse worried that someone else may have gotten to it first.
Tad implored Liza to do the right thing and put Stuart first. Liza was hopeful that if she was truthful with Bailey, Bailey would rescind her interest in reclaiming Stuart. Just as Liza was musing about how she was going to have to tell Colby the truth, Colby returned with the baby and chirped, "Tell me about what?" With difficulty, Liza broke the news to Colby that she had not given birth to Stuart. Colby was devastated over her mother's betrayal and terrified of losing Stuart to Bailey. Liza's sobbing self-defense failed to move Colby, who stormed out. Liza phoned Bailey and told her, "I think it's time you met your son." Tad followed Colby to the yacht club to apologize for having lied to her. He urged Colby to respect Liza's courage in coming clean. "I'm done," spat Colby.... Liza brought Stuart to the church and allowed Bailey to hold him. Liza revealed that she had adopted the baby and that it was best for Stuart to be raised by her. Bailey ran out.
David returned home and downed a drink, then sat down at the piano. Jake came downstairs and put a bill in David's empty drink "to thank him for his hospitality." He gave Amanda a passionate good-bye kiss.
Wednesday
JR told Colby that he didn't want her to move to Paris.... Liza went to the casino looking for Zach. Marissa entered and Liza told her that she and Colby had had a fight. Liza filled in Marissa about the fact that she isn't Stuart's biological mother.... Marissa joined JR and Colby and defended Liza to Colby. After Colby left, JR and Marissa talked about how having cancer had affected JR's relationships and whether he was willing to give his dad another chance. "It may be too late," sighed JR.
Adam was surprised that Annie had left the house. He told Scott that he believed that Annie was a changed (for the better) woman. He and Scott went to the casino to work on wedding plans.... Annie went to the penthouse. Ryan was unhappy with her presence but Emma was delighted to see her mom. Ryan challenged Annie about how she was going to break the news to Emma that Annie plans to marry Adam and to live in the house that terrifies her. Ryan insisted that Emma didn't kill Stuart.... While waiting for Annie, Adam sat
down with Liza and heard that she'd had an altercation with Colby. He and Scott then met with the wedding planner without Annie. Later, Colby came to see Liza and Liza told her that she had come clean with Bailey and let her spend time with Stuart. An attorney entered and served Liza with papers.
In the secret room, Kendall fantasized about making love to Zach. Downstairs, Erica was on her way out when the phone rang. It was Kendall and Zach pretended that she was calling from jail. Kendall spoke briefly to Erica and to Zach before hanging up. Erica and Zach discussed Annie and Ryan; Zach refused to work with Ryan to get the goods on Annie. After La Kane left, Aidan arrived with the DVD of Annie kissing Scott and JR. Zach turned it on and Kendall walked in, gasping that Annie was a skank. After Aidan left, Kendall asked Zach to promise her that everything would be okay. He offered that it would all be over by Thanksgiving.
Erica let herself into Ryan's, interrupting Ryan and Annie's argument over Emma. She planted a kiss on Ryan. Annie said that she would be back and let herself out. Ryan told Erica that he fears that Annie will make good on her threat to tell the cops that Emma killed Stuart.... Aidan approached Adam and Scott at the casino and made a snarky comment about Annie — and a telling comment to Scott about Annie's desirability. Annie rushed in and told Aidan that he wouldn't be invited to the wedding. Later, Adam tried not to panic when Annie went missing from the casino.... Annie had been kidnapped and was tied up to a chair with a bag over her head. The culprits? Zach, Aidan and Kendall.
Thursday
Liza and Colby were upset when Liza was served with papers by Bailey, who was petitioning for custody of Stuart. Colby tried to reassure Liza that she wouldn't lose the baby but Liza was unconvinced. Colby fought back tears. Marissa came by and Colby filled her in about Bailey's petition. Colby left and Marissa told Liza that she was there to apologize. Liza expressed her hopelessness about keeping Stuart, noting that Bailey had the law on her side. Marissa pointed out that the baby could have biological and adoptive parents without choosing between them.... At the Pine Cone, Bailey read up on parenting. Colby came by and not-so-subtly hinted to Bailey that she wouldn't be able to handle taking care of the baby. Bailey told her to leave. Liza then showed up and told Bailey that she wasn't going to fight her for custody of Stuart. "I want you to come live with us," said Liza. Bailey and Colby were both floored.
Ryan stressed to Erica that his priority is Emma, not Kendall, but Erica was determined to get Annie to confess. Ryan said that he wouldn't sacrifice Emma for Kendall.
Adam panicked when Annie went missing from the casino. Scott asked to see security footage of the casino to figure out what had happened. When they reviewed the footage, it looked like Annie had made a break for it. Adam blamed Scott for Annie's disappearance. Scott called Ryan to warn him that Annie was on the loose. Emma asked Ryan when her mommy was coming back. Ryan said he didn't know. Emma told Ryan that Annie had promised to take her to an island with dolphins; Ryan broke the news that Annie couldn't take Emma anywhere.
Annie had been kidnapped by Zach, Kendall and Aidan. "Leave her to me," said Aidan. Aidan revealed himself to Annie. A livid Annie insisted that Adam would find her; Aidan said that Adam thinks Annie bolted and won't come looking for her. Annie continued to insist that she wouldn't confess to Stuart's murder because she is innocent. Aidan interrogated Annie about her actions on the night of the murder. She told her version of events, which he wasn't buying. Annie started to crack but told Aidan that she couldn't reveal the truth. "If I tell you, I'll be left with nothing. Nothing!" Finally, Annie claimed that she would tell Aidan.
Zach sent Kendall upstairs when the doorbell rang. It was Erica, who warned Zach that Annie was willing to send Emma down the river to protect herself. Zach didn't buy it.
Back at the mansion, Adam was crushed over Annie's seeming disappearance. Jesse showed up, having been alerted by Adam. Jesse put out an APB for Annie. Jesse went to visit the Slater house and asked Zach and Kendall if they knew where Annie was. It was obvious to Jesse that Annie was in Zach's custody. Zach admitted it but made it clear that he is out of time to get a confession — and that he didn't care if Annie's confession was admissible in court or not... Erica stormed over to the Chandler manse and was furious when she found out that Annie had gone missing. As Erica ranted and raved, Stuart appeared to Adam, telling him, "You know what happened that night; you were there. You saw it all!" Adam realized that he had in fact been a witness.... Scott came over to the penthouse and Ryan told him that Annie is claiming that Emma is the killer. As Scott reeled from the news, Emma appeared, chirping, "I didn't do it, Daddy!"
Friday
David made arrangements for Trevor's christening. Amanda was surprised by the short notice. David correctly noted that she would want Jake to be the baby's godfather. Amanda advocated on Jake's behalf; David agreed to let her choose the godfather if Marissa could be the godmother. Amanda gave her consent. David suggested that it would mean more to Jake if David asked him to be the godfather. Marissa came over and Amanda asked her to be Trevor's godmother. David then informed Jake of the godfather situation. The group met back up at the church. Amanda told Jake that he would always be Trevor's father. After the ceremony, Jake opened up to Marissa about how much he feels like an outsider. Marissa urged him not to give up. Jake chatted with the priest and tried to fight back tears.... David and Amanda returned to Wildwind where he told her that he was certain that she would actually remain living there with him "forever."
Ryan and Scott discussed Annie's intention to pin Stuart's murder on Emma. Emma chirped that she didn't shoot anyone and asked why her mommy would say such a thing. Ryan tried to console her. Scott excused himself. Emma told Ryan that she needed to talk to her mommy before she could tell him what secret she is keeping.
Zach told Jesse that he wants to break Annie.... Annie claimed to be ready to tell Aidan the truth and said that she did kill Stuart. "Isn't that what you want to hear?" she then snapped.... Ryan called Jesse and told him about Emma's offer to tell the truth if she talked to Annie first. Jesse didn't
tell Ryan that he knew where Annie was but promised to keep him posted.... Annie told Aidan that she needed to tell Emma that it was okay to reveal their secret. Aidan came downstairs and consulted with Kendall, Zach and Jesse about the Emma situation. Jesse called Ryan and said that Annie was in his custody but was cagey about the details. Jesse said that he would let Zach explain it to him and handed his phone to Slater. Ryan initially refused Zach's request to allow a face-to-face meeting between Annie and Emma but ultimately relented. Kendall tried to assure Zach that he could
trust Ryan and begged him again to let her in. He swept her into a passionate kiss.... Annie regained consciousness in Ryan's penthouse.
Stuart's spirit appeared to Adam and told him that he had seen everything that had happened the night of the murder. Adam told Erica that he had seen Stuart. "I watched my brother die," gasped Adam. Adam recalled what he could but the details were spotty. Adam blamed himself for his brother's death. Erica tried to comfort him. When Scott came home, Erica told him about what had happened. Stuart appeared again to a napping Adam. Adam woke up and told Erica and Scott that he feels like Stuart is haunting him. He asked if there was any word about Annie; Scott said that he knew nothing new. Scott reported that Emma had overheard him and Ryan talking about Annie pinning the shooting on Emma. "I get the feeling that Emma really did see Annie kill
my father," said Scott. Adam refused to believe it.... Adam, Scott and Erica came to the penthouse, where no one believed Annie's version of events about Aidan having kidnapped her. The adults' arguing upset Emma, who ran out of the penthouse without them noticing. Adam went after her but Emma recoiled and ended up falling down a flight of stairs.
