Jake informed Zach, Greenlee and Bianca that there had been complications during Kendall's surgery and that she was unresponsive following a seizure. Zach was furious and distraught. Zach came into the OR and tried to talk Kendall back to life. Zach blamed Jake for Kendall's situation.

In Natalia's hospital room, Frank railed at Jesse for lying to him and Angie about his other family. Jesse struggled to explain himself but Frank remained livid. Nat said that no one was trying to take Jesse away from Angie and Frank. Nat explained that she was in town because of her mom, who was in a bad way. Frank sarcastically suggested that they work out a schedule for sharing Jesse. An angry Frank left (against Angie's advice, as she wanted him to get his hand looked at) and ran into Taylor. Meanwhile,
Angie asked Jesse for the name of Natalia's mother and told him that what hurts the most is that he told his other family that he loved them — and then left them. Jesse said that he loved his daughter by Rebecca but that Rebecca had always known that he loved Angie. He was then called away on a police emergency; a dazed Angie walked back over to Natalia.

Bianca fretted about Kendall's condition and blamed herself (since Kendall had prioritized protecting Binks during the storm). Greens cradled the baby and assured Binks that Kendall would be fine. Greens thanked Bianca for letting her hold the baby; she was moved when Binks said, "Greenlee, you're family." Zach came back and told the ladies that Kendall wasn't waking up and that Jake was responsible. Binks defended him but Zach wouldn't hear
it. Joe entered with the news that Erica was okay. Zach blasted Joe for Jake's irresponsibility and threatened to take down the hospital. He quit his rant when Spike and Ian entered. A nurse told Zach that Kendall had been moved to another room; Zach and Bianca left to go see her and Greens stayed behind with the newborn. Aidan caught up with Greenlee and was surprised to learn that Bianca had had another baby. Aidan asked where Ryan was; Greens explained that he was with Annie. She broke the news to Aidan that Kendall
may be in a coma. He consoled her.

Bianca visited with Kendall, telling her about her partner, Reese. She then serenaded Kendall. Frank and Zach entered with bad news: The emergency vehicle transporting Erica to the hospital had been in an accident.

Taylor found a pensive Jake in a darkened stairwell. He opened up to her about how the surgery had gone awry. Taylor went to grab some coffee.

At the Chandler manse, Colby, Adam, Pete, Emma and Ryan wondered where Erica had run off to. Annie was still frantic with worry about Emma and Adam said that the stalker had clearly been living beneath the tunnel. When Adam heard about Babe's bleak prognosis, he bolted for the hospital. Pete stayed behind with Colby. Annie told Ryan that they needed to go to the police about Emma. After looking over the stalker's belongings, Ryan thought he knew why Emma had been snatched.

A weeping JR cradled Babe's dead body in his arms at the hospital chapel. David showed up and JR met his gaze. "She's dead," he cried. "No!" bellowed David, who tried to revive his daughter. Tad and Krystal rushed in and Tad pulled David away from Babe's body, which Krystal then cradled in her arms. Devastated, JR and Krystal kissed Babe good-bye (and JR apologized for his
shortcomings) before her body was wheeled away.... Ryan attacked David, demanding to know where Emma was. He decked David despite his denials about having taken the girl. Joe intervened: "Babe just died." "JR killed Babe," David spat. "That's enough!" Tad barked. David refused to back down, telling
everyone that they could all go to hell. "And I hope I send you there," he said. Krystal and JR were shell-shocked as they sorted through Babe's belongings in her room. Tad was informed by a nurse that someone had taken her body from the morgue. The culprit? David, who took the body outside and cradled it, apologizing to her for not having saved her from JR. He vowed to
make everyone pay for what they had done to her.... Adam got to the hospital and heard about the ambulance accident. Bianca joined him in the hallway as a body was wheeled in; both Bianca and Adam thought it might be Erica's.

Ryan and Annie told Jesse about David; he promised to take seriously the notion that David could be behind Emma's disappearance. Annie checked her voicemail and there was a message from Emma saying, "Hi, Mommy, I'm home!"
Ryan and Annie raced to the penthouse, where they found a threatening note: "Don't go to the police or your child will die."

Jesse returned to Natalia's side and Angie glimpsed them from the hallway.

Zach confronted Joe and Jake in the stairwell. In his rage, Zach
accidentally pushed a returning Taylor down the stairs.
