AMC Week of November 29, 2010
Monday
Kendall fantasized about a happy Thanksgiving with Zach but was interrupted by Bianca's arrival. Kendall told Binks that she was staying strong for the boys.
Spike's Thanksgiving pageant had to be moved to ConFusion due to a power outage.
Madison tried to sneak out of Krystal's to avoid a run-in with Ryan but Emma spotted her. Ryan and Mad had an awkward conversation. Krystal broke the news to Tad that there was a crisis with the Thanksgiving turkey.
Greenlee and Liza went to see David at the police station. After spitting some harsh words at David, Greens went to ConFusion and Erica confirmed that she blames her for Zach's death. Tad and Krystal arrived, followed by Ryan and Emma. Greens told Ryan about her encounter with David. Kendall and the boys entered and Erica told Kendall that as per her wishes, they were going to make it a wonderful Thanksgiving for Spike and Ian. After the show, Kendall became overwhelmed. Erica blocked Greenlee's attempt to run after Kendall and followed her daughter herself. Erica did her best to console Kendall. Kendall told the boys they had to go home for a family meeting. With Bianca and Erica by her side, Kendall delivered the bad news to Spike about Daddy Zach. Kendall then insisted that Erica leave her alone with the kids.
After Liza's brief meeting with David, Damon came by to bring her some files. Jack paid an unauthorized visit to David. David goaded Jack, who physically attacked him. Jesse barged in to separate the men. After the kerfuffle, Jack went to see Greens at the penthouse. Ryan stepped outside to make sure that David was being transported to the prison. Ryan was unaware that David, who escaped from the transport van, was actually lurking nearby. Ryan spoke aloud to Zach, vowing to be there for his family. David revealed his presence to Ryan, sarcastically wishing him a happy Thanksgiving. David brandished a gun when Ryan ordered him to stay away from Greenlee. David told Ryan that he should have killed him when he had the chance and pointed his weapon at Ryan's chest. Downstairs, Jack and Greenlee shared a close moment. Greens asked Jack to go try to find Ryan. Ryan lunged at David and there was a struggle over the gun. A shot was fired in no particular direction and they continued to fight. Suddenly, David fell backwards — Erica had shot him in the back!
Tad made Jake steal a turkey with him. The Martins and Hubbards convened at Krystal's. Tad and Jake arrived with the poultry and everyone cheered. Tad made a heartfelt Thanksgiving toast. Damon ducked out to bring pie to Liza.
Tuesday
Jack arrived on the scene shortly after Erica shot David in the back. Jack summoned an ambulance, then grilled Erica about what had happened. She explained that she had followed David up to the roof and fired to stop David from pushing Ryan over the side of the building.
Greenlee opened the door to the penthouse and welcomed Opal inside. She went up to the roof and was stunned to find Erica, Jack, Ryan and a bleeding David. The cops arrived and Ryan and Erica gave their accounts. Ryan went downstairs to explain to Emma that David had been taken to the hospital. David arrived at the hospital and Jake prepared for surgery. Angie followed him into the OR and suggested bringing in Griffin to operate. Greenlee observed from the hall. Madison showed up at the penthouse and collapsed bleeding into Ryan's arms. He realized that she had been shot when the gun went off upstairs and rushed her to the hospital. Griffin showed up and Angie briefed him before the surgery. Jake had to get Greenlee's assent for Griffin to do the surgery. "Fine," she said. Greens was floored when Ryan arrived carrying Madison. Jake tended to her. Ryan assured Greens that they would be safe from David. Jake assisted Griffin in David's surgery.
At Wildwind, Bianca encouraged Caleb not to give up on Asher. Caleb consoled Binks, who was upset about Zach. Meanwhile, Erica was taken to the police station. Caleb and Bianca showed up. Jesse cleared the room (save for Jack) for Erica to give her statement. Erica insisted that she had nothing to hide.
JR and Colby chatted with Asher at the Chandler manse. AJ joined them as they discussed what they're grateful for. Opal showed up with Emma, looking for Annie. JR decided to take Emma and AJ to go find Annie. Asher pressed Colby for details about Adam; she wondered why he was so curious about her dad. Asher admitted that Caleb had hinted that Adam had something to do with his mom's death. JR and the kids caught up to Annie at Krystal's. Asher decided to go for a drive and got hauled into the police station for speeding. There, he had a gruff encounter with Caleb.
Wednesday
Bianca told Kendall about Erica shooting David.
Jack, Erica and Ryan were frantic to secure Erica's release. Jesse told Erica that she was under arrest for attempted murder. Liza arrived to tell Jack that his license had been suspended because of his assault on David, which rendered him unable to represent Erica. Kendall and Bianca went to see their mom.
Greenlee visited a comatose David and wondered aloud, “How could you do it?” Caleb got an update on David's condition from Griffin. Griffin overheard Greenlee saying that everyone would have been better off with David dead and warned her that David could probably hear her. Griffin told Greens that she would have to be responsible for David's medical decisions. Jake told Griffin that saving David was a waste of time. Griffin went to Krystal's and ran into Amanda. He advised Amanda to let go of her concerns about Cara. Griffin left and called Cara. Jake sat down with Amanda and she asked him about his time in the OR with Griffin.
Jack visited Caleb and asked him to represent Erica. He balked at first, then agreed to take her case. They went to see La Kane. At the courthouse, Caleb caught up with Marissa, who was still reeling from David's return. Jack and Erica showed up for her bail hearing. Caleb did a fantastic job of defending his client as he requested that Erica be released on her own recognizance. Liza didn't object. The judge ruled in Erica's favor.
Ryan went to see Madison, who was woozy and stunned to learn that she had taken a bullet. After Ryan left, Jake examined Mad and they talked about their experience with heartbreak. Ryan and Greenlee made out in the hallway, which an arriving Kendall spied. She was cold to them as she informed them of Erica's arrest. Kendall insisted on going to see David.
Thursday
At the hospital, Kendall lashed out at Greenlee for still caring about David, a charge that Greens denied. Kendall was morose when she came home. Bianca proposed that they plan a memorial service, but Kendall refused. Bianca took a call regarding the investigation into the plane crash and told Kendall that Zach's bag had been found in the wreckage.
Ryan tried to convince Greenlee to leave the hopsital as Frankie checked on David. Still comatose, David had flashbacks of Greenlee. Greenlee went to Kendall's house and refused to leave, making it clear that she intended to stick by Kendall whether she wanted her to or not. Kendall told Greenlee that she wanted the two of them to go to the site of Zach's plane crash. Greens said she would charter a plane right away. The women arrived in California. At the cave, Kendall told Greenlee to tell her everything she remembered about the last time she saw Zach. They went to the beach, then met with the men who had Zach's bag. Kendall wept as she rifled through its belongings. She told Greens that she felt responsible for Zach's death because she sent him to help Greenlee. Greens tried to impress upon Kendall that Zach's death was not her fault. Kendall told Greens that she needed to say good-bye. She went to the shore and sent a heartfelt "Always, only you" in the direction of the surf.
JR asked Annie to join him in D.C. that night to meet with the SEC. Annie left to pack. JR got a call from Scott in prison that he refused to accept. Annie brought Emma to Ryan's so that she could head out of town. Ryan and Emma consoled Spike, who remained upset over the loss of Daddy Zach. Ryan went to the hospital to berate David. Ryan and Frankie discussed their mutual hatred of David.
JR and Annie got to D.C. and she was jarred to realize that she'd been given the same room where she and JR had had sex for the first time. They reviewed plans for the meeting and Annie got an e-mail letting her know that her divorce papers from Scott had arrived. Annie noted that she was not as bothered as she had been when she got served with papers by Adam. JR forced himself to leave Annie's room despite his lust for her. Annie began to undress. When JR knocked, she answered the door and asked if he'd forgotten something. He grabbed her and they kissed passionately all the way to the bed.
Friday
In the D.C. hotel room, JR and Annie celebrated the fact that they could now make love without feeling ashamed of themselves by making love again. They were interrupted by a phone call from AJ, who had had a bad dream. After comforting AJ, JR hung up. Annie told JR that they should get ready for their meeting with the SEC. After the meeting, Annie expressed her concern that the idea that they could have a future together is just a pipe dream. JR didn't want to give up and was confident that he could "work on" Marissa and remind her of the man he used to be in order to get her to drop the custody suit so that he and Annie could be together. She was wary, but admitted that she wanted a future with JR. They returned to Pine Valley, where a giddy Annie caught up with Emma at Krystal's.
Colby and Asher realized they were the only ones at home. She tried not to salivate over his shirtless appearance. She told Asher that she didn't want things to be weird between them, reminding him that she has a boyfriend that he is friends with. After they parted, Asher had flashbacks about Colby. He walked into the living room to find her making out with Damon. After Asher left, Colby was upset to learn that Damon couldn't spend more time with her because he had to help Liza with something. An argument ensued over how little she got to see him because of his packed schedule. He talked her down.
At Wildwind, Bianca was upset with Caleb for resigning from Erica's case, but he assured her that he wasn't abandoning Erica. Marissa and Bianca tried to warm up Caleb's icy veneer and Binks asked him if he'd had any contact with Asher lately. Caleb said that Asher needed someone to hate, but Bianca encouraged him not to give up on the boy. Marissa got a tip that JR and Annie were in Washington and was annoyed with her estranged spouse. She left to go visit David. Bianca went to Krystal's and ran into Asher. She coaxed him into returning to Wildwind with her to work on her computer, promising him that Caleb wouldn't be there.
Liza faced a reporter at the hospital as Erica observed. Jack blocked Erica from confronting Liza, but Liza approached them and told Erica that she intended to prosecute her to the fullest extent of the law for shooting David. Erica was aghast, insisting that she had acted in defense of Ryan. Jack thought that he and Erica should go talk to Caleb about their options, but she wanted to put that on hold. She went alone to the roof where she had shot David. Caleb showed up and Erica told him that Liza was hell-bent on putting her on trial. Caleb asked Erica to walk him through what happened when she shot Hayward and when she mentioned making a plea bargain, he accused her of giving up. He told her that he wouldn't represent her if she caved in. Meanwhile, Jack went to ConFusion to ask Liza why she was going after Erica and reminded her that she was putting her reputation on the line. When Damon got to the courthouse, he asked Liza if she was really going to file charges against Erica. Erica arrived and Damon gave them some time alone. Erica appealed to Liza to speak to her woman to woman. Erica made it clear to Liza that she planned to play hardball.
Caleb returned home while Asher was finishing up on Bianca's computer. Caleb told Asher that he had taken care of his speeding ticket.
JR ran into Marissa at the hospital and prepared to put his plan in motion.
