Monday

Kendall and Erica brought Ian home. For a brief moment Kendall thought Myrtle was Zach, but realized it wasn't him and brought Ian over for an
introduction. Kendall promised Ian that his dad was trying his hardest to come home to them. Josh showed up at the door with balloons and presents,
saying he knew how Zach would want that day to go. He also said he would like to fill in for Zach until he came home. Erica called Jack and left him a message saying they were all waiting for him at Kendall's. She admitted to Myrtle that she and Jack were having problems. Kendall had a daydream in which Zach came home.

Tad, Jack, Hannah and Derek discussed Greenlee and Zach's disappearance over the Thanksgiving holiday. After a reminder from Julia that there
was a child in earshot, they stopped and everyone sat down. Joe said a prayer for their loved ones, and they went around the table saying what
they were thankful for. Adam said he was thankful for JR's year of sobriety. As everyone chowed down, Adam pulled JR aside and apologized for making that comment publicly. JR angrily blew him off. Jack got a call from Erica as he chatted with Opal. He ignored the call. Joe approached Jack with Greenlee's commitment papers, and told him Mary's signature had been forged: Erica was behind it. Derek got a call confirming that the blood
was a match for Zach, and as he looked at JR, said they had a suspect. Later, JR saw Derek talking with two cops outside and bolted, unnoticed.

Babe was incredulous that Ryan and Annie were trying to use her against Richie. Jonathan and Ava walked in, and, quickly realizing they had interrupted something, made their way out to the terrace. Outside, they discussed their
bad Thanksgiving memories, and the beginning of new, better holidays together. Jon asked what was going on with JR; he heard he was bugging her
at The Comeback the other day. Ava told him it was nothing, and they went back inside. Annie was unable to convince Babe, and Babe was about to leave when Emma convinced her to stay. Everyone played with Emma and Little Adam as
they waited for Richie.

Amanda informed her mother that it was Thanksgiving, and they sat down to
eat. Janet could barely remember anything, which was a side effect of her meds. Amanda
confided in her the problems she'd been having with JR. Janet suggested someone set Babe and JR straight. Amanda told her that she had already taken care of JR, but before she had a chance to tell her what she'd done, Janet grabbed her head and when she let go she'd completely forgotten the entire conversation, or that Amanda had even been there.

A man called down to Zach and Greenlee, and they told him they were trapped. They were unaware they were actually talking to Richie. Before "going for help," Richie, who was barely hanging on himself, confirmed that it was Zach Slater down there — the same man Kendall Hart Slater was desperately looking for. Greenlee panicked
when the man stopped responding to them. She and Zach sniped at each other, but before long Zach was barely hanging on to consciousness. Meanwhile, Richie found a large sheet of metal, and dragged it toward the hole. Greenlee was about to give Zach an aspirin when she heard activity overhead and assumed it was someone coming to rescue them. They both looked up as the
hole was covered, and Zach realized the man hadn't been there to save them. Meanwhile, Aidan returned to the cabin where he had last seen Greenlee and got to work on his laptop.

Tuesday

Erica went to Jack's to confront him about not showing up at Kendall's for Thanksgiving. He told her he never intended to. She asked if there were any leads on Greenlee, and if there was anything she could do. He told her she could leave. It was too little, too late; he knew she had tried to have Greenlee committed. He wouldn't be forgiving her this time. Erica insisted they couldn't live without each other and asked him to marry her. She said she wasn't the only one who made mistakes — she had lost custody of Bianca because of him. Jack accused her of never forgiving him for not lying on the stand for her, and she admitted that may be true, but she still loved him and wanted to spend her life with him. He reminded her they were divorced, and that was how it was going to stay. He had reached his limit with her. Jack looked her in the eye and told her he didn't love her anymore. With that, he left.

Babe told Annie she was glad Richie didn't show up, because she didn't want to be used against him. Her phone rang, and it was Joe, calling to let her know Richie was in the hospital. She and Annie rushed to the hospital, where Joe informed them Richie had caught pneumonia after staying out all night looking for Zach. Babe went in to see him and asked if there was anything she could do for him. He told her he would be fine because he needed more time with her. She told him to get some rest, and that she would send Annie in. After Babe left, Annie came in and Richie told her he was ready to confess, he was guilty of all the bad things she accused him of. She was right to send him to prison. He admitted he came to Pine Valley to hurt her. He had no regrets and he didn't want her forgiveness. He told her to look in his jacket pocket. She pulled out a vial, and he told her it would set them both free. With tears in his eyes, he asked her to give it to him. It would make his heart stop, and put them both out of their misery.

Ryan visited Ian, and told a grateful Kendall that Spike could spend the night with her. He did his best to calm her fears about Zach, and told her whatever happened with Greenlee wouldn't come between their friendship. Kendall told him she knew Zach couldn't be dead. The doorbell rang, and Kendall opened it to find Derek, who told her they found JR's car abandoned and that he definitely hit something with it, and that there was blood inside the car that matched the blood on the road by Zach's car. He also told her he hadn't been able to arrest JR before he ran. Kendall wanted to go out and hunt JR down herself, but Ryan subdued her. Derek vowed to find him, and left. Ryan insisted Zach would come home to her.

Greenlee began to panic, realizing that with the opening covered they were trapped in the bomb shelter with no way out. Zach tried to calm her, but in the end she wore herself out. He watched as she piled things on top of each other in an attempt to climb the wall toward the covered exit. She lost her grip and fell. After coming to, Greens began hyperventilating and begged Zach to do something, and he grabbed her face and kissed her. "What the hell was what?" she muttered. He pointed out that it had worked, but quickly she was back to hyperventilating. He told her to think of something calm and safe. She thought of Aidan, and that worked. She thanked Zach, and he collapsed. Tad found Aidan at the cabin and Aidan filled him in on Greenlee's situation. Tad went outside to do some snooping and Aidan thought back to making love to Greenlee. Tad came back in and Aidan raged, knocking things over, screaming about how he couldn't let another person he loved disappear. Tad suggested they get out of there. Aidan refused, and Tad told him to call the minute he found anything. Aidan headed out into the woods, where he found a piece of paper on the ground, which he pocketed. Next he found Greenlee's cell phone and began calling her name. Meanwhile, in the bomb shelter, Greenlee was trying to wake an unresponsive Zach.

Wednesday

Adam found JR at The Comeback, and when Adam told him he heard he was in trouble, JR admitted he didn't think there was anything Adam could do to get him out of it this time. He had no idea if he killed Zach. Adam told him he would give him an alibi; that he would swear JR spent the night with him. JR asked if Adam thought he was innocent or if he believed he killed Zach, to which Adam replied, "Frankly son, I don't give a damn." Adam said he was going to call Derek and JR would tell him that they were together. JR told him to go call.

Ryan arrived at the hospital and Babe angrily told him how sick Richie was.
Inside Richie's room, Annie slowly opened the vial. He begged her to do it, and she raised it to his lips, but stopped at the last minute, dumped the liquid down the sink, and threw the vial in the trash. Ryan and Babe came in as they argued, and Annie told them Richie had asked her to kill him. Babe didn't believe it, even when Ryan pulled the vial out of the garbage. Joe came in, and Ryan filled him in, and asked that they test the contents of the vial. Joe asked to speak to Richie alone, and Richie asked that Babe stay. After Ryan and Annie left, Joe told Richie he would have to report him. He left, and Babe laid into Richie. She couldn't believe he would give up. He pointed out that there was no hope, and she said he needed to make use of the time he had left and hold on to the right now. He asked her to come closer so he could touch his right now, and she embraced him. They were about to kiss when Joe talked in with a psychiatrist. In the hall, Annie admitted she had almost done what Richie asked. She told him Richie had admitted to everything, and that the reason he was in the hospital with pneumonia was because he was out all night looking for Zach. Ryan immediately said that was a lie, and Babe walked out and yelled at them for blaming Richie for things when he was on the brink of death. Ryan filled Babe in on JR: that he was drinking again, that a picture of JR, Babe and Little Adam had been found under Zach's car, and that Zach's blood was in JR's car. After calling the police station, Babe told Richie she had to leave — JR had been involved in a hit-and-run accident. He told her he understood, and after she left, he flashed back to hitting Zach and planting evidence to implicate JR. Back in the hall, Joe told Annie and Ryan that Richie may not make it through the night.

Aidan knocked at the door of a house in the woods and showed the man who answered a picture of Greenlee. The man claimed he hadn't seen her. Aidan pounded on the door again, and the man told him to get off his property.
Aidan kicked in the door and was greeted by a shotgun. He hid and was able to get the gun away from the man, who identified himself as Sylvester. Aidan asked about some boxes and Sylvester said there were his granddaddy's things, and that his grandaddy had moved there to prepare for the "end of times." He told Aidan there had been a "shifty fellow" with light eyes on his property. Aidan searched the house and found nothing. He said goodbye to Sylvester and left. Sylvester found a tube with a radiation-warning symbol on it that fell out of a box Aidan knocked over. He picked it up and tossed it on the bed.

Greenlee begged Zach not to die and leave her there alone. Finally he woke up and began talking about a light. Greenlee begged him not to walk toward the light, not realizing he was thinking of the headlights of the car that hit him. Zach demanded she tell him what she did with his wife. Greenlee got angry and exclaimed that Kendall was the one who did something to her. He started smiling at her, and told her he loved her. He thought she was Kendall. A moment later he asked where Kendall had gone, and got up to look for her. He collapsed on the ground, unconscious again. In an effort to wake him up, she pretended to be Kendall. It worked and he told her how much he missed her. "Kendall" told him to get stronger for her, and to listen to Greenlee because she was very smart. They exchanged "I love you"s. He went in and out as Greenlee willed Aidan to find her. As Zach mumbled to "Kendall," Greenlee asked what "they" should do about Greenlee when they got home. Zach said they would do nothing. They did what they had to do and he would do it again. Greenlee got what she deserved. Somewhere in the woods above them Aidan continued to prowl the woods.

Down at the police station, Adam told Derek JR had been with him all night, but JR admitted the truth. He had no idea where he'd been. Derek arrested him.

Thursday

At the NEW BEGINNINGS studio, Erica tried to explain to Lily why Jack was
mad at her. She told her that she had asked her to come down there to help
her do something very special for Jack. Meanwhile, Aidan and Jack mapped out
Greenlee's possible trail, and wondered whether Sylvester had seen her. Jack
worried they wouldn't find her in time. He got a call from Lily, who was
asked where the family photo albums were. He told her where they were and
asked why she wanted them. She told him she didn't; that Erica wanted them
for her show and hung up. Lily told Erica she would go get the pictures.

Krystal got the newspaper and showed Tad the news about JR — he'd been
arrested.

On the phone, Kendall confirmed Spike's surgery. She turned on the TV and a
newscaster was talking about Zach and saying that the longer someone was
missing the less likely they were to survive. After shutting off the TV, she
talked to Spike and Ian, who she said were calm because they knew Zach was
coming home. She put them down for a nap, and turned on New Beginnings.
Erica was interviewing a woman who had lost her whole family. Erica pointed
out that writing a book had helped her get through a hard time, and the
woman agreed that being creative helps. Kendall had a meltdown and screamed
about making potholders in order to forget about Zach.

In the bomb shelter, Greenlee watched Zach and thought about what he said
about her getting exactly what she deserved. She limped over to him and woke
him. She pretended to be Kendall again. As Kendall, she told Zach that
Greenlee had saved his life, and asked why he wasn't grateful. Zach told
"Kendall” he didn't want to talk about Greenlee anymore. "Kendall" insisted
that Greenlee was very sorry for what she had done to Spike, but Zach only
muttered that he would kill anyone who tried to mess with his family.
"Kendall" said she missed her best friend, and told him Greenlee was
suffering. Nothing she said was getting through to him. He mumbled that he
couldn't believe Kendall wanted to confess at the trial. Realizing he was
talking to Greenlee, he told her Kendall hadn't confessed because he
wouldn't let her.

Babe arrived at the police station and ran into Ava and Amanda. JR already
had a visitor: Tad. Tad told JR he was proud that he had taken
responsibility for what might have been his fault. He pointed out that there
was no proof he had truly done it though. JR admitted he didn't remember
anything, but said that his track record didn't speak well for him. Tad
left, and saw the girls on the way out. He told them he thought a piece of
the story was missing. He asked if Amanda had seen him that night, and she
said she hadn't. Ava said she had seen him later and he seemed out of it.
Babe went to see JR next. He told her she always deserved better than him,
and asked her to make sure Little A grew up to be a good boy if she ended up
having to raise him herself. Next, Amanda went in and asked if he truly
didn't remember anything as she flashed back to leaving The Comeback with
him the night of the accident. He confirmed he had a complete black out.
Finally, Ava came in. He yelled at her, but she told him she was there
because she didn't think he did it. She saw him afterward at The Comeback,
he was wearing the same clothes as he was wearing before he left earlier
that night and he had no blood on him anywhere, and yet there was blood in
his car. She left after saying she was going to prove she was right. Krystal
walked into the police station and Babe asked her what she was supposed to
tell Little A. Krystal told her she needs to be smarter than her mother,
and stay away from bad boys — Richie and JR.

Back at the office, Tad asked Aidan if he'd made any progress. Tad pointed
out that Zach's car was only 2 miles from Greenlee's path. He thought it was
possible that their disappearances were connected. Tad thought they needed
to investigate the mystery man Sylvester had talked about, and he had an
idea for getting Sylvester to cooperate with them. They headed to
Sylvester's, where they were greeted at the door with a shotgun. Tad offered
to buy the property. They warned him that soon the FBI and the police would
be prowling his property soon for the two missing people. Tad said he would
have to leave right away, and Sylvester accepted the money.

Jack showed up at the studio, annoyed that Erica was planning something
regarding Greenlee. Jack asked her not to do whatever she was planning, and
asked for the photos back. He warned her if she did anything to further ruin
Greenlee's reputation, he would make her regret it. On that note, Erica went
back on air, and showed a picture of Zach and another of Greenlee, and asked
that people look for them, and call with any information they had, so they
could come home safely. After they wrapped, Jack told her she had only made
matters worse, and made Greenlee a bigger target.

Amanda brought Fusion work over to Kendall's Kendall thanked her for picking
up the slack. They talked about Zach, and Amanda told Kendall that she
believes JR when he says he doesn't remember anything. Kendall told her about
watching Erica's show, and scoffed at the idea that painting helps people get through
hard times. She immediately apologized, remembering that Janet paints.
Amanda said it was fine, and agreed that creative endeavors were helpful to
her mother and other people at the insane asylum. Kendall realized that
putting together the spring lookbook with Greenlee helped distract her.
Amanda said they did a beautiful job, and Kendall agreed.

Friday

Jack and Erica continued to argue. Erica wondered why he always assumed the worst about her. Jack suggested if she wanted to help, she could have her daughter come in and confess on air. He told her how hard it was to wonder if Greenlee was even still alive. She suggested they work together to bring Greenlee back, and Jack pointed that she would only end up in a jail cell if she came back (thanks to Kendall) and furthermore, there was no "they." Erica continued not to believe this, and Jack walked out. She picked up her cell and called Kendall, who didn't answer.

Ryan and Annie arrived at the hospital where Babe was already in with Richie. Another visitor approached: Walter. Annie couldn't believe he knew about Richie's leukemia and hadn't told her, and he said Richie hadn't wanted him to. Walter walked away from them to greet Dr. Chambers. Ryan told Annie he was Richie's prison shrink. Ryan approached them, and asked why he would come there. He said Richie was worth it and asked that he leave him and Walter alone. In his room, Richie asked Babe how JR was, and she explained he'd been arrested for the hit and run of Zach Slater. She explained the evidence against him and the fact that JR couldn't remember anything. She turned to leave when Julia came in to check on him. Before she could leave, Walter walked in. He told Babe that Richie had told her what a good friend she was to him. A doctor came in and told them Richie was recovering from the pneumonia. He needed time alone to examine him, so Babe and Walter left. Out in the hall, Ryan asked Julia why Richie's prison psychiatrist had been called, and Julia told him it wasn't the hospital's doing. An unseen Dr. Chambers looked around suspiciously and left. Jack walked in and asked Julia to pull Greenlee's records to help with Aidan's investigation. Julia told him it could take a while, but that she'd meet him at ConFusion (where he was due for a meeting) and bring them; he could buy her a drink. Emma walked in with Corrina (who was babysitting her), and asked a tearful Walter why he was so sad. Annie walked over and Emma asked her mother if she knew the sad man. Annie said he was Uncle Richie's daddy, to which Emma replied, "Then he's your daddy too." Annie told her she was right, and Emma looked at Walter and said, "Then you're my grandpa," with a big smile. Annie told her she was right, and introduced Walter to Emma. Walter smiled at "my granddaughter" Emma told him she always wanted a grandpa. Ryan called the prison and asked for Dr. Chambers, and was told he was out for the day for something very urgent.

Kendall tried to write but couldn't focus, and called Derek to see if he'd heard anything from, or about, Zach. He told her no, and asked her not to worry. After getting off the phone, she chatted to her babies' photos, and told them she was writing as a form of creative therapy. She tried to get back to work, but the doorbell rang. It was a delivery — from Zach. She opened it and saw that he had ordered it before he went missing. It was a charm bracelet he had made for her. After setting up Zach's picture next to the boys' pictures in front of her, Kendall came up with a title: Charm. Erica called, but Kendall ignored it. She wrote away, and before too long Erica was pounding on the door, and when Kendall didn't answer, she let herself in. Erica told her she was worried about her, but Kendall quickly realized she'd had another fight with Jack. Erica said her visit had nothing to do with Jack. Kendall insisted all she wanted was some peace and quiet so she could relax. Erica was incredulous: "Who are you and what have you done with my daughter? We do not sit in the house and wait for things to happen." She grabbed Kendall's arm and told her they would find Kendall themselves.

Greenlee told Zach it was all his fault they were stuck there. If he had let Kendall confess, she never would have had to escape. She explained he had been delirious and she'd played along and pretended to be Kendall. Her anger subsided for a moment as she realized Kendall had been willing to give up her future to take back what she had done to her, so she still cared. They noticed something up above their heads, and Zach got up to investigate. It was some kind of ladder. Zach set up a rope to climb to the ladder and helped Greenlee make her way up. Once she reached the ladder she was on her own.

Richie was alone again in his room when Dr. Chambers walked in through a back door. He told Richie that when he heard that he might not make it, he had to come and see for himself. He pointed out that him dying of pneumonia was not part of their deal.
