AMC Week of November 15, 2010
Monday
Zach helped Greenlee and Ryan escape from the cops. They found a cave to hide in. Zach thought lovingly about Kendall and looked forward to his return home. Ryan wrapped Greenlee's ankle and prepared to go off in search of Nick solo so that she could rest. They ended up snuggling in front of a fire and discussing their love. Ryan told Greenlee that he couldn't wait anymore; they succumbed to their passion.
Asher and Caleb came face-to-face at Wildwind. Asher told Caleb about Palmer's letter and revealed the injury he'd sustained to his leg while trying to find Caleb on the mountaintop. Asher demanded to know if Caleb had killed Sonia. Before Caleb could answer, JR barged in to take Asher home. Caleb beseeched Asher not to trust JR but JR and Asher left together in a huff. Caleb sought wisdom from Palmer's portrait.
Annie told JR about her efforts to discredit Caleb in the press. A close moment ensued but Annie begged off on account of the custody battle. JR couldn't help himself and drew Annie into a steamy kiss. Post-buss, Colby came to talk to JR about Asher. Colby and Annie got into it. Colby stormed out; Annie was tickled. Colby found Asher at home in the parlor and she freaked when Asher said he was living there now.
Bianca visited Kendall. Kendall pressed Bianca for details on the state of her relationship with Reese. Bianca said that as much as she loved Reese, her soul mates (Erica and Kendall) were in Pine Valley. Zach and Kendall had an emotional, loving conversation on the phone and anticipated spending the holidays together as a family.
Tuesday
Ryan and Greenlee started to make love in the cave but she pulled back. He allayed her fears and they exchanged unofficial wedding vows, then succumbed to passion. Basking in the afterglow, Greens vowed never to take Ryan for granted again. Greens found a stone that looked like her old engagement ring; she took it as a sign.
Amanda literally bumped into a handsome stranger at the hospital. He was flirtatious; Amanda made it clear that she's married but he still offered to help fix her husband's car. Meanwhile, Jake told Frankie about the job offer from Doctors Without Borders that had come via his ex-wife, Cara.
Liza ran into Tad at Krystal's. Tad stonewalled Liza's efforts to get confirmation that Ryan and Greenlee had left town together. Opal approached and bickered with Liza. Opal began to experience chest pains, so Tad rushed her to the hospital. When they arrived, the mystery man with Amanda rushed to treat her. The guy confirmed that he is a doctor and introduced himself to Frankie as Griffin. Frankie thanked Griffin for the excellent care he had proffered to Opal. Amanda told Jake about the guy who had saved Opal's life and Jake decided to go thank him in person. Griffin told Tad and the gang that David was his mentor and was stunned when Frankie broke the news that David was dead. Jake went into Opal's room but Griffin was already gone; Opal sang his praises. Amanda spotted Griffin in the hallway and Jake approached him. When Jake turned around and saw Griffin, he punched him in the jaw.
Krystal came by Jack's with some grub. He told her about Greenlee's fugitive status. Liza came by and Krystal blasted Liza for bothering him. Liza stressed to Jack that if the jury returns before Greens was back in town, it would not be a good look for the accused. She got a call letting her know that the jury had reached a verdict. She advised Jack to make sure that Greens was home in time to hear the verdict read, then left. A riled-up Jack called Kendall to ask her to summon Greens home as soon as possible. Overwhelmed with stress and worry, Jack all but collapsed in Krystal's arms, then apologized for the intimacy of the moment. Krystal got a call from Tad updating her about Opal's condition.
Wednesday
Jake admitted to Tad that Griffin is the guy who stole his wife from him (meaning Cara, his ex). Jake rejoined Amanda and Griffin explained his reasons for being in town. Griffin went to check on Opal; Tad followed. Amanda asked Jake what was going on. Jake was evasive and defensive. Tad took Griffin aside after he examined Opal and told Tad that it wasn't his fault that Jake was still mad at him. He then saw Jake and told him that he and Cara weren't together anymore. Griffin went back to see Opal and opened up about his work as a heart surgeon. Amanda and Jake went to ConFusion and she again pressed him for details about his antagonism toward Griffin.
Krystal said goodnight to Jack, who remained sick with worry over Greenlee's well-being, and left the penthouse. Jack went to the courtroom and flashed back to the trial, berating himself for putting Greens on the stand. Krystal entered and tried to allay Jack's guilty conscience. Jack had a temper tantrum in the courtroom. He then realized that Krystal had purposely goaded him to get him to release his anger.
Greenlee told Ryan that she had no regrets. They then fetched Nick Pearson and begged him to come clean with them. Nick copped to accepting money from David to put the vial of poison into Ryan's pocket. He then refused to testify and made a break for it. Ryan got Nick's confession on tape; he and Greens celebrated. Ryan had swiped Nick's cell phone; Greens used it to call Jack, who said he would stall the reading of the verdict until her return. Ryan and Greenlee looked forward to returning home and coming out as a couple. Jack was hopeful that Liza would drop the charges after seeing the new evidence. He gave Krystal a celebratory hug.
Damon and a wiped-out Liza did some work at ConFusion. Damon told Liza that he didn't agree with Ryan, who thought Liza was destined to lose her soul even if she won the case. Liza noted the irony of having come to like Damon. Damon thought Colby would come around. Damon was concerned about Liza and insisted that she go to the hospital. Tad saw her there and they had a borderline warm moment. Liza got a clean bill of health. Damon told Tad that Liza has grown on him. Liza got word that there was new evidence in Greenlee's case. Tad heard and was pleased. He told Liza that he was sure she'd be fine even if she lost the case.
Thursday
JR welcomed Asher into life at the Chandler mansion. Colby spied Asher without his shirt on and was flustered.
Bianca gently pressed Caleb about his Thanksgiving plans and invited him to spend it with her family. Caleb went to Krystal's, where he gave Colby the locket with Sonia's picture to give to Asher. Colby went home and tried to pass along the locket; Asher was resistant at first, but accepted it with Colby's urging. Colby left after sharing a close moment in which Asher laid eyes on Sonia's picture (the first time he'd ever seen his mom's likeness). Asher went to Wildwind and questioned Caleb's motives for giving him the locket. Caleb defended himself and insisted that he did not kill Sonia. He slipped and brought Adam's name into the discussion of Sonia's death. Asher wanted to know more but Caleb remained tight-lipped.
Kendall told Annie that Zach was on his way to bring Ryan and Greenlee home. Annie was moved by Kendall's offer for her and Emma to spend Thanksgiving with the Slaters. Kendall said no when Annie asked if JR could come but changed her mind.
Greenlee and Ryan smooched in the cave, awaiting Zach's arrival. They agreed to come out as a couple as soon as they got back. Zach called and they went to meet him, but his plane exploded across the sky! They frantically called the Coast Guard. Simultaneously, Kendall felt a pain in her chest and couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. Ryan swam out into the water to try to find Zach while Greens prayed for Zach to be okay. Ryan returned to shore empty-handed. “Zach's gone,” he told Greens. He had to hold her back from diving into the water herself. Greens broke down sobbing in Ryan's arms.
Kendall and Annie told JR that he was welcome at Thanksgiving dinner. After Kendall left, JR and Annie agreed that they wanted a love like Zach and Kendall's one day. JR told Annie that he wanted to be with her. She tried to resist the urge to kiss him. They parted ways after agreeing to remain adult in their behavior.
Kendall went home and shared the Thanksgiving guest list with Bianca. Kendall proposed that Bianca invite Reese to dinner. Kendall continued to feel like something was wrong. “It's like this sudden chill,” she told Binks. Kendall called Reese and invited her to town for the holiday and urged Bianca not to give up on her marriage. Unaware of the accident, Kendall left a loving message for Zach.
Friday
Jack updated Erica about Greenlee and Ryan obtaining the evidence they had been searching for. Jack was worried that he couldn't reach his daughter. Erica told Jack that she wanted him to get their marriage license.
Greenlee remained shell-shocked in the wake of Zach's fatal plane crash. The coast guard arrived. Ryan broke the bad news to Greens that Nick Pearson's confession had been wiped out when Ryan went into the water. Greens insisted on going back to P.V. to be there for Kendall.
At the hospital, where Kendall was doing her community service, Bianca introduced Kendall to Griffin. Kendall felt some chest pains and Griffin and Binks insisted that she take a break. Kendall deflected Bianca's concern by shifting the topic of conversation to Reese. Kendall went home, played with Ian and left another message for Zach. She took a nap, hoping that Zach would kiss her awake. She dreamed that Zach was there with her.
Jake blew off Amanda's attempts to talk to him again about his animosity towards Griffin. Tad tried to grill Griffin about Cara. Amanda approached Griffin and invited him to lunch. At ConFusion, Amanda deduced that Griffin was the man that Cara left Jake for; Griffin said, "I guess you could say that." Tad summoned Jake to meet with him at Krystal's. Tad tried to get Jake to open up about how he truly felt about Griffin's appearance in town. Jake went to ConFusion and told Amanda that Greenlee's verdict was about to be read. Amanda went to call the sitter and Jake promised that he would be civil to Griffin. Griffin told Jake that he knew he had concealed from Amanda that Cara contacted him. Jake told him to mind his own business. Griffin left and Amanda told Jake that she knew why he hated Griffin. He snapped at her; Amanda told Jake that he could tell her everything.
A handcuffed Greenlee, along with Ryan, entered the courtroom, where Jack and Erica were waiting. Ryan broke the news that Zach was dead. Erica was devastated and couldn't even look at Greenlee. Erica said that she would be the one to tell Kendall. She and Ryan left to go to the Slater house. Jack consoled Greens, who told Jack that the evidence had been destroyed. Kendall woke up from her dream about Zach when there was a knock at her door. It was Erica and Ryan.
