AMC Week of November 12, 2007
Monday
In the chaos, Aidan was able to escape with Greenlee, but not before Ryan spotted them. Kendall told Zach she was concerned that Greenlee would retaliate. Jack and Erica continued to argue about the situation. Erica apologized, but Jack wasn't interested. He reminded her that her daughter was the reason this had happened. Erica said she would do her best not to badmouth Greenlee, and that she wanted to help him get through this. He didn't want her help, so she left to be with Kendall.
At the Wildwind stables, Greenlee expressed her gratitude to Aidan. Right before Julia walked in, she donned a disguise Aidan brought for her. Aidan and Greenlee explained the situation, and Julia agreed to keep their secret. She did warn Greenlee that life on the run was more difficult than she could imagine. Alone again, Greenlee and Aidan left the stables to head to Canada.
Julia went to the courthouse to find Jack. She told him that Greenlee was safe, and that she loves him, and wished she could get in touch with him. Jack was immensely relieved.
At The Comeback, JR ordered a drink and Amanda walked in just in time to see the bartender filling his glass. In his drunkenness, JR told Amanda that he'd slept with Babe, and asked her to marry him. Amanda was furious and poured him another drink before running out, hoping he'd drink himself to death.
Babe asked Richie what was wrong, and he confirmed that he had leukemia. He told her he'd come to Pine Valley to reconnect with Annie before he died. He also told her what Ryan had done to him, kidnapping him so they could find out if he was really sick, and about their scary landing without a pilot. Babe was shocked, and Richie asked her again for a date. She agreed to have lunch with him.
Ryan came home, and Annie could tell something was wrong. He told her that Aidan helped Greenlee escape, and that he knew and didn't tell anyone. He told her what Kendall and Zach had done.
Kendall and Zach went to the hospital and told Joe they wanted to take Ian home, because they wanted to be sure he was safe from Greenlee. Joe told them Ian wasn't ready to go home yet, but they could stay with him until Greenlee was caught. Kendall told Zach she thought she should confess what she'd done, which Zach was adamantly opposed to. Erica arrived and told Kendall about the commitment she had planned. Kendall was mad, realizing that was just another nail in Greenlee's coffin and another reason for her to come after them. Zach spoke with Josh alone, and sent him out to find Aidan and Greenlee. He suggested he have Hannah help him.
Tuesday
Zach ordered Hannah to find Greenlee, who was at that moment with Aidan, who vowed to prove her innocence. Hannah met Tad at The Comeback, where they played pool while she pumped him for info about Aidan. Tad caught on and played dumb. She asked if he'd saved someone he loved. He told her about saving the pregnant Dixie from the asylum where Adam sent her 20 years ago. At the cabin, Aidan insisted Greenlee go to Canada while he looked for the computer Kendall used to frame her. But he immediately returned and they embraced. Back at The Comeback, Hannah insisted she's not a romantic. When she saw an opening, she snagged Tad's Blackberry and got partial directions to Aidan's safe house, but Tad spotted her. Hannah confessed she works for Zach — and Adam! "I'm just a whore" she lamented, pointing out that Adam blackmailed her to go to work for Zach and help get Adam's money back from the inside. She wanted out, but then Adam would reveal that she had slept with Zach's father, Alexander Cambias Sr. — the man who murdered Dixie. Hannah decided not to tell Zach about Greenlee and Aidan because she felt another woman deserves at least a shot at happiness. Meanwhile, Greenlee thanked Aidan for rescuing her. He admitted he heard her the other night, and responded: "I love you, too." Then they made love on the couch.
Ava found JR passed out in the bushes at the boathouse. He complained that he had some financial bad luck, so he had a drink "one time." Elsewhere, Adam prepared for his breakfast date with Krystal, who arrived with Jenny in tow. Adam suggested hiring a nanny, but Krystal wasn't interested in dumping the kid and going to the presidential suite for some morning hanky-panky — Jenny will always come first. She said his playing nice with Jenny while masquerading as Stewart didn't convince her. She asked if he can he deal with Jenny calling Tad "Daddy"? She reminded him that he tried to sell Jenny, the embodiment of her cheating, and left to give him time to think. At the boathouse, JR insisted he would climb back on the wagon, but Ava scolded him for not thinking about his son. He reminded her of her psycho-murderer fiancé. As he stormed off he fell, and noticed that he stank of booze. Later, JR mulled attending an Alcohol Addiction Support Group meeting, but fled. Later, Tad ran into Krystal at home where she went earlier. She said, "breakfast," just as Adam appeared at the door.
Kendall dozed in the hospital room and dreamed she was being chased through the woods by an armed Greenlee. Greens shot Kendall, but the body turned into Greenlee. Kendall awakened in Zach's presence, shouting, "You made me do it!" She recounted her dream, worried that it meant Greenlee is planning something. Then she turned her anger on Zach, sniping at his need for control and blaming him for letting Greens escape. Just like the blackout, she claimed, "This is your fault!" Zach said the past is done, and insisted he will "fix" this, which set Kendall off. She called Spike and Ian "my children." He pointed out that they are "our children" and left. Later, he returned to make peace, but she wouldn't let it go. She recounted his litany of sins and blasted his controlling nature, making him explode and knock over a chair before storming out.
Wednesday
Adam told Tad he wanted to make peace so that he and Krystal could be together. Tad was not having any of it. He refused to ever have Jenny living under Adam's roof. Colby walked in and asked what was going on. Adam took her outside and told her he and Krystal were getting back together. Colby felt torn between her father and Tad, but Adam pointed out that Tad was the one forcing her to choose sides, not him. Inside, Tad laid into Krystal for giving Adam another chance after what he did to Jenny. When Adam and Colby came back inside Krystal told him she wouldn't go anywhere without Jenny. Adam asked if Colby would come home with him, but Colby said she was staying, and Adam left without another word.
Annie and Ryan were getting cozy at home when Ryan got a call from Tom Brennan, the man who claimed to have seen Richie kill a boy when they were younger. Ryan explained why he needed his help, but Tom got freaked and hung up. He called back minutes later and Ryan promised to protect him from Richie. Tom said he only called to warn Ryan that if he didn't play by Richie's rules then Richie would kill him too.
Lily told Zach about her date with Richie. He noticed Lily had a picture of a house on her laptop, and she explained it was called "Paradise." Zach got up to leave and told her he was going to find his wife, and "Paradise." Meanwhile, Richie was with Babe, who was clearly struggling with the idea that he was dying. They shared a kiss, but Babe insisted they needed to talk. She admitted that she'd slept with JR, but that it was a one-time thing. Richie wished he had someone to take comfort in. They kissed again, and then Richie got a message on his PDA that took him by surprise. He'd intercepted an e-mail from Tom to Ryan, in which Tom admitted that he'd seen Richie kill his friend.
Kendall vented to Erica about Zach. Erica warned her to remember how great Zach was, and how wonderful their relationship was. Kendall relented and called her husband, and when she didn't get an answer she worried Zach was ignoring her. Erica suggested they get something to eat and Kendall agreed after some hesitation. Moments after they left, Zach walked in looking for Kendall and was informed she'd just left. Kendall and Erica returned with their coffee, and a nurse let them know Zach had come in looking for Kendall, and then left. Kendall worried that things had gotten even worse. Meanwhile Zach drove away looking for the "Paradise" house.
Thursday
Greenlee and Aidan snuggled after making love. Greenlee told him she wanted to disappear together, but Aidan said he had to return home to prove her innocence. Greenlee feared if they separated they would never find each other again. Aidan went out to pick up some food, and when he got back he insisted she pack her things.
At The Comeback, Jonathan commented on Ava's new buttoned-up look, and told her she looked good no matter what. JR stumbled in and ordered a drink. As JR muttered to himself, Jack came in and grabbed him by his shirt, swearing to inflict pain on him for the crap he pulled with Greenlee. The bartender pulled them apart. JR pretended he had no idea what Jack was talking about, and Julia grabbed Jack just in time to stop him from punching JR in the face. She did her best to reassure Jack that Greenlee would be alright. Derek walked in with news for Jack: Aidan had been spotted. Jack thanked Julia and left with Derek. Jon and Ava mused over the scene that had played out right in front of them. Jonathan pointed out what a mess JR was, but got a call he had to take, interrupting their conversation. He excused himself and left. Ava immediately made her way over to JR, trying to see if he was okay. He blew up at her and stormed out. JR came across Amanda outside, who said she wasn't interested in fighting over his drinking. She'd even pour his drinks. He threw his arm around her and they left together.
Ryan told Annie he was sure Richie had something up his sleeve. Babe came over and laid into them both for the way they were treating Richie; she thought they looked like the crazy ones. Annie told Babe that she'd known Richie a lot longer and knew him much better. Babe wasn't convinced, and Ryan suggested she leave just as Jonathan called and told Ryan that someone had hacked into their e-mails: Richie. Babe, exasperated, left. Ryan rushed downstairs to meet Jon, so they could try to reach Tommy before Richie did. Meanwhile Richie was speeding down the road after hotwiring a car that he discovered was JR's when he found a picture of JR, Babe and Little Adam.
At the hospital, Kendall asked Josh if he'd seen Zach, and he said he hadn't seen him in hours. She explained that she'd fought with Zach about Greenlee, and that she had a feeling something bad was about to happen. She revealed that she, Zach and Erica had all concocted separate plans for revenge on Greenlee, none of them knowing about the others. Josh admitted he had taken part in Zach's plan. Then he left, promising to try to find Zach.
Zach pulled over and asked a local for directions to the Paradise house. She told him about the people who used to live there. She offered to show him the house, and they hopped in his car and headed that way. He told her all about Kendall as they drove. Kendall, meanwhile, visited Ian and Spike and told them the story of the beginning of her relationship with Zach. Both Kendall and Zach replayed memories of their relationship in their minds simultaneously as they spoke of their history. Zach and the local woman reached their destination, and found the house abandoned. She apologized, and they drove away. Josh came back with some tea for Kendall. He reported that he hadn't found Zach yet.
Aidan told Greenlee he'd been recognized, and insisted she leave on her own immediately on one of the bikes. She left, but not before they exchanged their first "I love you"s, and he promised to come for her as soon as he could. Moments later, Derek walked in with Jack following behind. Aidan claimed to have no idea where Greenlee was. Outside, unable to start the bike, Greenlee was forced to head out on foot. Later, driving alone after dropping off the local woman, Zach got a flat tire. As he stood on the side of the road checking it out, Richie came flying toward him and mowed him down just as Kendall, at the hospital, dropped her mug.
Friday
Realizing he'd hit something (or someone), Richie backed up and got out of the car to check it out. He checked Zach's pulse, and said he didn't think he was going to make it. As Richie took his money, Zach mumbled that he needed help. Richie agreed he couldn't leave him there and put him in JR's car. Before driving off, Richie placed the picture of JR, Babe and Little Adam under the tire of Zach's car. A little further down the road, he threw Zach from the moving car and drove off.
Jack demanded that Aidan tell him where Greenlee was. Derek came in and announced that security cameras caught a fireman throwing Greenlee over his shoulder and running off, and Derek knew it was Aidan. Aidan pointed out that he had barely investigated Kendall and Zach's stories. Jack asked Derek for time alone with Aidan to get some info from him. Derek agreed reluctantly. Aidan told Jack that Greenlee was in on her escape, and purposely fired Jack to keep his hands clean. He explained that she'd taken a motorcycle and was riding to Canada where his friends would take care of her until they found proof that Kendall had set her up. Derek came back in and asked for an explanation for the two motorcycles outside. Jack tried to distract him so Aidan could get away, but Derek caught them and had them both arrested for obstruction of justice.
Meanwhile, Greenlee was running through the woods. She paused to catch her breath, and thought back on how she got to where she was. Soon she was off running again, but tripped and rolled down a hill, right into Zach's body.
When she realized she couldn't wake him, she tried to call for help, but had no cell service. She promised to call from the next phone she came across, but she had to keep running, and left. She came across a house and decided she would go back and get Zach and leave him in the house.
Ryan and Jonathan flew down the road, racing to get to Tommy before Richie.
They talked about getting Richie arrested, and Ryan said it sounded like Tommy had hard proof. Jon suggested he make Richie disappear, but quickly explained he didn't mean kill him, just get him far away from Pine Valley. Ryan refused to stoop to Richie's level. Meanwhile, Richie strong-armed his way into Tommy's room. Panicked, Tommy claimed he was just stringing Ryan along to get some money out of him. He said he never saw anything, and he could make everything right. Richie picked up a file containing solid evidence against him. Tommy told him to take it — it was the only copy. He tried to run, but hit the dresser and ended up on the ground. Richie warned him to stay away from the Laverys and left with the file, but only after threatening a slow and painful death. Ryan and Jon showed up at Tommy's and found the place empty. Somebody had clearly left in a hurry. Elsewhere, Richie was burning Tommy's proof.
At the hospital, Kendall threw out her broken mug and apologized to the kids for being so frazzled. Erica walked in asking if she'd heard from Zach, and Kendall told her they hadn't and that she was getting worried. Lily came in and told them she knew where he was — he went to Paradise. She explained Paradise was a house in the country and he'd gone to check it out for Kendall. Immensely relieved, they asked Lily why she was so dressed up, and she told them her date, Richard, had stood her up. Lily pointed out that Zach should really be back by now, since realtors don't show houses that late and he'd left a while ago. She told Kendall the address and both Kendall and Erica left to go there.
Zach was waking up (but unable to see straight) just as Greenlee got back, and was able to stand and walk while leaning on her, though he was very clearly out of it, referring to Greens as "miss." They slowly made their way to the house. Meanwhile, Erica and Kendall talked about Greenlee as they drove. Kendall admitted the guilt she felt for betraying her. Just then they spotted Zach's car on the side of the road, but he was nowhere to be found. Kendall spotted blood on the ground and screamed for Zach. Off in the woods, Zach stopped Greenlee and said he thought he heard something. They began to walk again and with a gasp from Greenlee, they were gone.
