Monday
Erica couldn't get Caleb on the phone; Jack observed that she was worried. Jack copped to being scared to put Greenlee on the stand. Erica took a call from an SEC contact about Cortlandt. She was heartened to hear positive news about their chances of getting Cortlandt back. She again tried to reach Caleb and learned that he had gone to the Chandler mansion. Jack told her that it was okay for her to go. At Wildwind, Caleb received a visit from Krystal. They realized that AJ was missing. Caleb wanted to throw JR in jail. Meanwhile, Asher took AJ to the Chandler offices and put him on the phone with JR, who said he'd be there soon. Colby encountered Asher and AJ and warned Asher that this wasn't going to end well. Asher defended JR. Krystal and Caleb went to the mansion to confront JR, who denied knowing AJ's whereabouts. Brot showed up to investigate. After he left, Caleb handcuffed JR to the fireplace so that he and Krystal could search for AJ. Back at the Chandler offices, Colby saw Asher's scar and tried to get him to open up to her about his childhood. Asher admitted that his father wasn't dead, but had left him, and that he had gotten the scar attempting to climb up the mountain to see him. Colby gasped as she deduced that Caleb is Asher's father. Asher confirmed it, and also that JR knows. Caleb and Krystal's search of the house failed to produce AJ. AJ called the mansion; Krystal answered. AJ told Krystal where he was; JR grimaced. Krystal and Caleb left JR in handcuffs. AJ begged Colby to let him see JR; she agreed to a brief trip to the mansion. Asher said he was going to stay behind to face his father.
Zach was worried about a noise outside; Kendall tried to arm him with a fire poker when he went to investigate. The culprit? Ryan, who had come by for a chat. Zach asked Ryan if he killed David. Ryan insisted that he couldn't remember. Ryan asked Zach to keep Kendall out of the whole mess. Ryan vowed to keep them posted on Greenlee and apologized for having gotten in the way of their togetherness. After he left, Zach and Kendall got romantic.
Greenlee went to the penthouse to see Ryan and found Madison packing up her belongings. Madison told Greens that she and Ryan had broken up. Mad and Greens had words over Ryan's willingness to sacrifice himself for Greenlee. Ryan showed up and asked Mad not to leave. Greens made her exit and went to the Slater house. After a short talk with Ryan, Mad left the penthouse. Ryan came by the house and told Greens that she had to leave with him right away. Kendall tried not to think about what Ryan and Greenlee were up to. Zach distracted her with some lovin'. Ryan brought Greenlee to the courthouse and gave her a pep talk. He also told her that he felt something more was going on with Nick Pearson and that it may be the key to proving her innocence. Greens asked Ryan if he had broken up with Madison because of her. Before he could answer, Tad called. Greens exited while Ryan got an update from Tad. Madison returned Ryan's key with a note.
Erica found JR in handcuffs at the mansion and demanded to know how he got there before agreeing to release him. JR told Erica that his situation was Caleb's handiwork. Erica took a call from a judge who was trying to reach JR. Erica put in a good word for Marissa before hanging up. Erica helped herself to a file about Caleb and read its contents over JR's protests. She was shocked to learn that Asher is Caleb's son. At that moment, Asher and Caleb came face-to-face at the Chandler offices.
Tuesday
Erica was astounded to read that Asher is Caleb's son. She bolted, leaving JR handcuffed to the fireplace. Annie found him and made him explain how he had ended up in shackles. She advised him not to pull another stunt like this with AJ, then freed him. Colby dropped by with AJ, much to JR and AJ's delight. Colby scowled at Annie and read JR the riot act for having Asher snatch the boy. She beseeched JR to fix things for AJ's sake. Colby tried and failed to reach Asher. JR told his sister that he knows she doesn't like Annie, but that Annie was his only friend.
Jake and Amanda lunched at Krystal's and reminisced about their courtship.
Caleb and Asher came face-to-face at the Chandler offices. Caleb demanded to know AJ's whereabouts. "Or what?" seethed Asher, implying that Caleb kills people who don't do as he says. Harsh words were exchanged and Caleb ended up accidentally shoving Asher down a staircase. Erica showed up and was horrified. They rushed the boy to the hospital. Jake tended to him. Erica told Caleb that there was something he needed to know: "Asher is your son." Caleb was disbelieving until Erica explained how she had found the file at JR's house. Fighting back tears, Caleb told Erica that Asher's mom had died when he was born and he gave the boy away, never thinking he'd see him again. He recounted the story of Sonia's death (Caleb delivered the baby). It was after Sonia's death that Caleb retreated to the mountaintop. Caleb broke down at the realization that his son was in the next room. Erica urged Caleb to go to Asher's side.
Krystal met up with Marissa at Wildwind and told Marissa that JR took AJ. Marissa was livid and felt that JR's actions proved that she was right to be suing for custody. Annie showed up and told Marissa that she took AJ. She wove a creative tale about how she came to take AJ to the Chandler offices. Marissa didn't buy it, but realized that she would not be able to prove that Annie was lying for JR. Marissa rushed to the mansion with a cop to collect AJ but JR surprised her with a court order granting JR custody until the trial. Colby told JR that she had to go to the hospital because Asher had been in an accident.
Annie joined Amanda at Krystal's. She told Amanda about what had happened with JR and AJ. Amanda called Annie out on her love for JR.
Wednesday
Today's episode was pre-empted due to the network's news coverage of President Obama's press conference.
Thursday
Zach told Kendall he ordered a big turkey for Thanksgiving; she was thrilled to be reunited with her man. Zach joked about sending Erica and the boys to Disneyland for a month so they could have some alone time.
Jackson warned Greenlee that Liza would be coming after her with everything she's got. Jack conceded that he admired Greenlee's courage to take the stand. She thanked her dad and said she had to run an errand. Greenlee visited Zach and Kendall. As the girls discussed what Greenlee found in Ryan's pocket after David's murder, Zach overheard their talk. The girls told Zach that they don't want Ryan to go to prison and are trying to protect him. Kendall begged Zach to keep quiet. He resented being pulled into the mess but agreed. The gals thanked him and hugged him. Zach then warned Greenlee that Liza was dangerous. Kendall assured her friend that she'd get through this. “Here we are again,” sighed Zach after Greens left. Kendall apologized for not telling Zach but stated that she couldn't deny help to a friend in need. “Any more secrets?” Zach asked. Kendall swore that she was keeping nothing else from him.
At the hospital, Colby worried that Asher might be paralyzed and feared that Caleb may have pushed him down the steps. JR was convinced of Caleb's guilt.... A conflicted Caleb expressed his surprise and guilt about Asher with Erica. She advised him not to revert to running from his problems. Erica advised Caleb to step up and stick it out with Asher. Afterward, Caleb ran into JR at the hospital and accused him of turning Asher against him. JR reminded that Caleb did a fine job of that all by himself. JR also noted the irony of his involvement in trying to take AJ away from his dad when his own son was conspiring against him. After JR left, Caleb spoke with a photo of Palmer and stated that Asher was better off without him. A doctor arrived and told Caleb that Asher would recover — and that the secret DNA test proved they were indeed father and son.
JR showed up at Annie's as Emma slept. JR told Annie about Asher's fall. Annie was shocked to learn Asher was Caleb's son. JR then thanked Annie for her help in getting AJ back. JR put Emma to bed and again expressed his gratitude. JR said he'd like to come back and visit. Annie replied that he was welcome any time.
Erica met with Jack, who was not looking forward to interrogating Greenlee. Erica told Jack that despite her feelings for Greenlee, Jack would always have her unconditional support. She then jumped up and said she realized there was something she could do to help and rushed out. Erica met with Greenlee, who was having a drink alone at ConFusion. Erica told Greenlee to give Jack a break, and admitted that she thought Greens killed David. Greenlee admitted that she was scared — and that she didn't do it. However, she heeded Erica's words. Greenlee then met with Jack to review her testimony.
Back at the hospital, Colby apologized to Asher for being hard on him. Damon arrived to comfort her. She filled Damon in on Asher's connection to Caleb. Damon resented Asher using them but Colby spoke in Asher's defense. Damon said he didn't want to fight. He suggested they go home but Colby insisted on being there when Asher woke up. Damon suggested a compromise by going to the cafeteria; she agreed. Afterward, Erica found Caleb watching over a sleeping Asher.
Friday
Kendall and Greenlee chatted on the phone before Greenlee went to court. Tad updated Ryan on some curious things he had uncovered with regards to Nick Pearson's finances — namely, that he had received a large sum of money into an offshore account on the day David died. Jack called Greens to the stand. She testified about what a devoted husband David had been but that she had wanted to end the marriage. Under cross-examination from Liza, who had evidence of Greenlee and Ryan's kiss, Greenlee admitted to still loving Ryan and to having wanted out of her marriage to David. When Jack took over for Liza, Greens again insisted that she didn't kill her husband. Liza made her damning closing statement. Jack did his best to redirect during his own final remarks. Ryan and Greenlee met in the hallway and he told her that he was going to go after Nick Person. Zach and Kendall showed up and with Kendall's support, Zach told Ryan that Greenlee had found the digitalis in Ryan's possession. Ryan was floored; Greens was furious. A call from Zach's lawyer summoned the Slaters away. Liza congratulated Jack on a job well done but was confident she would prevail. Back at the house, Kendall and Zach debated over whether Zach had done the right thing by spilling the beans and shared some happy moments. Zach got good news from his attorney: the sale of the casinos had gone through.
Greenlee filled in Ryan about how she had found the digitalis. Ryan was aghast — he was not wearing that jacket that night! "So you didn't have the drug in your pocket that night!" gasped Greenlee. "Someone is trying to set me up," realized Ryan. Tad showed up and told them that he had traced the money that had been funneled to Nick back to David.
At the hospital, Angie and Jesse awaited the amnio results and discussed whether they wanted to know the baby's sex (he did, she didn't). Angie and Jesse got good news: the amnio showed that their baby-to-be was perfectly healthy. They embraced. Jesse accidentally found out the sex of the baby by spying some papers. Jesse excused himself and told Amanda that he had just gotten good news — good news that was very complicated. Jesse was worried that he would blow the secret. Angie rejoined Jesse and they felt the baby kick, much to their joy.
Jake tried to conceal an email he'd just received from Amanda when his wife showed up at the hospital. Tad interrupted a make-out session between ther Martins. Tad filled them in on what was happening at the courthouse. Amanda asked Tad about Doctors Without Borders; he assured Amanda that Jake didn't want to go back to work for the organization. After she left, Jake told Tad that the job offer had come from Cara (Carolyn Finn, his ex-wife). Jake vented for a moment about the end of his marriage.
