JR pulled back from making love with Marissa after being overwhelmed with memories of Annie. JR swore to his wife that he doesn't still think of Annie.

Scott admitted to Annie that he stole the specs for technology that Palmer had developed for Cortlandt. Annie approved of him claiming the invention as his own. To prove that she was sincere in her interest in him, she took off her wedding ring. JR came downstairs and Annie exited. While Scott and JR bickered over whose leadership would be best for the company, Marissa dragged Annie to BJ's for a private chat, where she asked Annie to begin to consider the consequences of her actions to others. Annie told Marissa that she wasn't responsible for the problems in Marissa's marriage and stalked off. Annie returned home and saw JR with Scott's schematics. JR accused Annie of making a play for Scott to make him jealous or because she thought Scott was going to get rich. She accused him of still wanting her. Marissa privately observed how flustered he seemed.

Ryan told Jesse that Erica is innocent. Jesse wondered if Ryan was responsible, at which Ryan took offense. Ryan frantically tried to reach Erica.

David panicked that Erica's plane had taken off, since he had paid a technician to tamper with it in the hopes of keeping it grounded. He had to hang up when Greenlee entered. Greenlee went to Fusion, where Madison reported that Jesse was questioning Ryan about the Miranda embezzlement. Greens felt guilty. She called David at the hospital and learned that he'd lied to her about being headed straight for the hospital. She went home and confronted him. David came clean with Greens about disabling Erica's plane. Greens was horrified. He stopped her from calling for a rescue party, begging her to give him some more time to figure out their next move. Ryan showed up to discuss Erica.

Erica's plane made an emergency landing. Someone came aboard the wreckage to carry the injured pilot to safety. He returned to carry her to safety, as well. In the wilderness where the plane had crashed, Erica tried to get the man to talk to her. He finally snapped and revealed that the crash had destroyed his home. The man told Erica that no one was coming to rescue her. Erica told him who she was and he claimed never to have heard of her. Erica insisted to the man that he help her get down the mountain. The man told Erica that she couldn't stay at his nearby cabin. Erica told him that she would buy him a new house. He very reluctantly agreed to let her stay but refused to help her with her luggage for the long trek to his cabin. He threw two of her suitcases into the forest.
