AMC Week of March 22, 2010
Monday
Adam and David played cat and mouse in the attic, as David tended to Adam and warned him that Annie might end up killing him (with his weak heart). When Adam came downstairs, Brooke told him that she'd poured out all of his liquor because he needs to take better care of his heart.... Annie blurted out to JR that she's his donor. An angry JR didn't believe it. Scott arrived and summoned help when JR got too worked up. Scott called Adam to update him and Adam left for the hospital. Annie returned home and got into a verbal altercation with Brooke (namely, over Annie's belief that Brooke's presence was ruining her marriage and Brooke's belief that Annie doesn't really love Adam).... At the hospital, Adam confirmed to JR that Annie did save JR's life. To Colby, Scott and JR, Adam argued that JR should be thanking Annie, not crucifying her. JR was upset with Adam for allowing Annie to be the donor. After Adam left, JR assured Colby that he would take care of Annie. Adam returned home and blasted Annie for telling JR the truth about her being the donor. Adam called Annie's bluff when she started to pack a bag to leave him.
David tried to get in touch with Greenlee but couldn't track her down. David turned on the TV and found out that Greenlee had been arrested for aiding and abetting a fugitive.
Angie confronted Damon about the pills again. He denied it. Once alone, he popped some of the meds. She went to the police station and updated Jesse on JR's progress. She opined to Jesse that Damon needs to know the truth about his paternity.
Tad broke up with Liza. She played dirty and threw their ancient past back in his face. After she left, Tad told Jake about the break-up and then confided in him about the shocking truth he had learned (that he is Damon's dad). Jake told Tad that he thinks he's taking his anger at Hillary out on Liza. Meanwhile, Liza went to ConFusion to drown her sorrows. Damon arrived in search of a cocktail of his own. Liza checked out his fake ID and pocketed it. Damon helped himself to some of Liza's alcoholic drink. They ended up sharing some laughs — but Tad was not amused when he walked in.
Tuesday
Angie came to the Martin house looking for Tad. She warned Krystal that Damon is a "ticking time bomb." She filled Krystal in on the pill situation.
Greenlee and Ryan protested Jesse having arrested Greenlee to sniff out David. Jack arrived to plead Greenlee's case to Jesse. Jesse released her. Greens returned to Fusion and was surprised by David's presence. He told her that he had no choice but to turn himself in.
Damon continued to sneak drinks from Liza. Tad entered and dragged Liza away to chastise her for having been so irresponsible. Tad then forcibly led Damon out of the bar back to the house. The ladies tended to Damon. Liza arrived to apologize. Tad asked her to leave. Damon collapsed as Angie broke the news that Damon had taken pills. Tad pleaded with Angie not to report him and slipped and called Damon his son. Because Damon was disoriented, Tad was able to gloss it over. Angie told a grateful Tad that she wouldn't run a drug test on Damon. Tad gave Damon a stern talking-to.
Brot and Natalia went to the casino. Randi and Madison were also there because of the upcoming Fusion photo shoot. Nat told Randi about Greenlee's arrest. She passed the news along to Madison, who bolted. Brot suggested to Natalia that she become a model; she took offense and stormed out. Brot followed her back to the station, where they made amends. Madison reported to Randi that Greenlee was free. When Ryan returned, Madison chatted with him about the Greenlee situation. Randi hissed at Madison that she knows Madison wants to sink her claws into Ryan. Madison told Ryan that she was going on a date with Craig, her first in a long while. After she left, Randi approached Ryan and told him that she had to warn him about Madison. At the police station, Brot suggested that Natalia go to Fusion's model search as a means of getting close to Greenlee and figuring out David's whereabouts. Nat protested but Jesse liked the idea and told Natalia that she was fired (to make the idea of her trying out as a model more believable).
JR detailed his plan to Colby to kill Annie with kindness. Marissa entered and JR told her that when he got released the next day, they were going to move back into the mansion. JR told Marissa about Annie being his donor. Once alone again with her brother, Colby questioned him as to why he wasn't filling his wife in on his plan to befriend Annie. JR said that he didn't want to worry Marissa.
Annie and Adam fought over JR and Brooke. Adam reassured Annie of his love. Annie asked him to prove it by getting rid of Brooke. JR phoned Adam with the news that he was coming home. When he relayed the info to Annie, she stormed over to Fusion, where she bumped into Liza. She told Liza that she needs an attorney and asked, "What can I get if Adam leaves me?" Greenlee showed up at the mansion with a large crate. Inside? David.
Wednesday
Jesse faux-fired Natalia to set up her undercover gig as a Fusion model, which Jesse and Brot hoped would enable her to figure out David's whereabouts. Natalia tried to keep her calm as Brot and Jesse selected the outfit she should wear to the casting call. Jesse was confident that Natalia would be happy about this when she made detective.
Annie consulted with Liza about the possibility of divorce. Liza advised Annie to leave Adam before he left her.
Randi warned Ryan not to get involved with Madison. Ryan defended Madison on the grounds that everyone deserves a second chance. Craig and Madison went to ConFusion for their date. Ryan said hi to them before approaching Liza. They had a nice chat but he rejected her offer to go home with her, citing his love for Greenlee. Craig and Madison ended their date early and she went to the casino, where she encountered Ryan again. Madison claimed not to remember that Ryan had said he was going back to the casino that night.
Adam grumbled when Greenlee brought David back to the mansion. Adam refused to harbor David but said he wouldn't report David to the authorities until sunrise. David and Greenlee bolted when Brooke arrived. They chatted about Annie's jealousy toward Brooke. Brooke offered to help with Annie, then made herself scarce when Annie returned home. Adam told Annie that he needed his rest and went upstairs to bed solo after apologizing to her for their earlier squabble. Annie surprised Adam in his bedroom. Because Adam's heart couldn't “handle a roll in the hay,” as David had put it, he resisted Annie's advances. Annie went to sleep and woke up to find that Adam wasn't in the bed with her. He had gone downstairs, where Brooke joined him and Adam reiterated how happy he was to have her back in town. Annie came downstairs in time to see Brooke and Adam together.
In the attic, David tried to get Greenlee to accept that it was over. He refused to tell her whether he was going back on the run or turning himself in. He said good-bye and locked her in the attic alone. Liza bumped into David in the park. She became upset when he mentioned Tad. Greenlee found the key and released herself from the attic as David urged Liza to take his case, pointing out that it would both irk Tad and increase her odds of becoming district attorney. Liza agreed to sleep on it.
Thursday
At the hospital, Jake tried to soothe Amanda's nerves about her modeling audition. When she showed off her outfit for the try-out, a passing hospital staffer was distracted enough to drop his tray.
Annie was suspicious of Adam after catching him with Brooke in the living room in the middle of the night. Annie told Adam that she had seen him with Brooke. Another squabble ensued. Annie beseeched Adam to understand that she's scared at the prospect of losing him but he remained short-tempered.
Brooke, Colby and Marissa chatted with JR in his hospital room. Brooke told JR that she wanted to write an article on him. JR agreed and claimed to Brooke that his hatred for Annie had softened. Once alone with her hubby, Marissa asked him what he was really up to. JR didn't let her in on his scheme and later reiterated to Colby that he has found the perfect way to bring down Annie. AJ arrived and JR left the hospital with his son and Marissa. Back at the house, Colby overheard Annie leaving a message for Liza regarding the divorce papers, which she told Liza to draw up.
At the casino, Greenlee and Madison prepped for the model casting. Ryan made sure that Greens was taken care of. When Erica and Randi entered, Greenlee fumed. Ryan tried to referee between Erica and Greenlee. When Amanda arrived, Erica greeted her warmly and told her that she was hired on the spot — for her own line, not Greenlee's. Amanda happily accepted. Natalia showed up and told Randi that she'd been fired. Greens approached, assuming that Nat was there to spy on her. Greens told her to leave but Randi offered to intervene. Greenlee was livid when Amanda told her that Erica had hired her. Randi showed Natalia's pictures to Greens, who was impressed. Greenlee told Natalia that she doesn't trust her but will allow her to audition, then vented to Ryan about Erica nabbing Amanda for her campaign. Greens admitted to Ryan that her back is bothering her but refused to take a break.
Liza screamed when she found David sitting in her living room. David again asked Liza to be his lawyer. David hid — and eavesdropped — when Tad showed up to apologize. When Tad referred to Damon as his son, David's eyes widened. Liza showed Tad out as quickly as possible. David confirmed to Liza that he had overheard the news about Damon. Tad went home and told Jake about Damon's pill-popping. He also told Jake that contrary to what Jake had assumed, he hadn't at all broken Liza's heart. Back at the loft, Liza told David that she would take his case. She said she would be able to get him acquitted since she was the one who brought him down. Her first move was to tell him he had to turn himself in.... Amanda and Jake went to B.J.'s for a celebratory meal.
Erica returned to Fusion, where Jack awaited her to chastise her for taking Amanda out from under Greenlee. Erica didn't think that she'd done anything wrong. Jack told Erica that he had shut down his Paris office and would be working exclusively out of Pine Valley. Jack said that Greenlee wasn't the only reason he was staying.
Brooke told Adam and Annie about the article Tempo is going to do on JR. Annie was flattered to learn that Brooke planned to profile her and put her on the cover. Annie was perturbed by Adam's show of gratitude to Brooke. A Tempo photographer was on hand when JR returned home with Marissa and AJ in tow. JR asked Annie for a hug; she complied.
Friday
Amanda and Jake were at lunch when she received her modeling contract from Erica by messenger. They left to go speak to Erica about the job. Jake and Amanda walked in on a serious conversation between Jack and Erica, as Jack admitted Erica was one reason he was staying in town — but also agreed they had a lot of obstacles between them, like Greenlee. Jake and Amanda wanted to discuss the contract with Erica, who promised it was more than fair. Amanda happily signed the contract and told Erica, "I want it all!"
On JR's arrival at the Chandler mansion, Annie, suspicious of JR's motives, agreed to hug him. Adam seemed perturbed with Scott. Brooke came up with the idea to do a live video of JR, Adam, and Annie to go along with the Tempo print story. JR used the video to explain the hostile history between himself and Annie, and then praised her for her actions, claiming he would never forget what she did for him. Immediately, people began commenting on the video, calling Annie a hero. Adam had a change of heart and apologized for the argument he and Annie had earlier.
Liza told David she would represent him only if he turned himself in. When she tried to call Jesse, David stopped her. They were interrupted by a call from Colby, who discovered Annie was a client of Liza's. Colby wanted to talk to her mother, but Liza, who was harboring a fugitive, agreed to meet her at BJ's instead of her home. Liza left a voicemail for Annie about the divorce papers, not knowing that Colby had stolen Annie's phone. Colby tried to get information out of Liza, but Liza gave up very little. While Liza took a call, Colby looked through her briefcase for the divorce papers. Liza told Colby that perhaps her wish of getting rid of Annie would come true.
After Colby returned to the mansion, she tried to tell JR about the divorce proceedings, but Brooke pulled him away before she could. Then after she making sure Adam stayed downstairs, Annie tried to get the truth out of Colby. The doorbell rang. Annie, worried, asked Colby what she had done. Colby replied, "Annie, you're gone." An unsuspecting Adam answered the door and was served with the divorce papers.
At the photo shoot in the casino, Greenlee and Ryan had a heart-to-heart. Ryan reminded Greenlee that this is her second chance, and there are people in Pine Valley who want her to succeed. Greenlee received a call from David urging her to leave Pine Valley. As he was on the phone with Greenlee, Liza came in and yelled, ripped the phone from his hands, and hung up. Greenlee recognized Liza's voice and quickly left the shoot. Natalia told Ryan she suspected Greenlee had received a call from David before leaving, and it could possibly have something to do with Liza.
David, angry over Liza's plan to use Greenlee to secure his freedom, fired Liza. As David opened the door to leave, Greenlee was standing on the other side. She was relieved to see David, but her relief soon vanished as Ryan arrived shortly after her — to see David standing there.
