Monday

Greenlee asked for Ryan; David said that he wasn't there and broke the news that she'd been asleep for nearly a year. She was stunned when David revealed that he had let everyone think that she was dead. He explained how he had saved Greens's life. Suddenly, she realized that she couldn't feel her legs. He gently explained that the surgery to restore her ability to walk could kill her but that it was her decision to make. "Or you can call Ryan right now and discuss it with him," he said. She opted against phoning him but stared at David's cell phone after he left. David returned and Greens said that she couldn't go back to Ryan until she had regained the use of her legs. "Cure me, David. Please," she said. She told him that if she didn't make it, she didn't want anyone to know that she had survived the motorcycle crash. David pointed out that even if she walked again, things might never be the same between her and Ryan. She pooh-poohed his words.

Chaos erupted at the Chandler mansion when a helicopter landed on the grounds. Adam opened the door and was thrilled to see Hayley and Mateo. Annie introduced herself to Hayley as her new stepmom. After catching up with everyone, Hayley and Mateo revealed that they were there on business, as the Atlantic Press had named Pine Valley the best town in America and she was shooting a documentary. Annie was dismayed that Hayley's return was delaying the renewal of her vows with Adam. The ceremony resumed and during it, Hayley and Mateo chatted with Scott about Adam's new wife. After Adam and Annie were pronounced husband and wife again, Hayley went outside to talk to Ryan and was stunned to deduce that Ryan is dating Erica. After Ryan left, Hayley assured Erica that her documentary wasn't gossipy and asked her if she was living with Ryan. Annie told Scott that she wanted to use Hayley's documentary to rehabilitate her reputation. Hayley told Adam that she would try to keep her mouth shut regarding Annie. Hayley told her dad that they had had to send Max to a boarding school because of his rebellious behavior. Once alone with Annie, though, Hayley made her dislike for her patently obvious. Annie complained to Adam about Hayley; he assured her that she had nothing to worry about. Hayley sat down to interview her dad and stepmom. Mateo, Scott and Colby watched as Annie sang Adam's praises on-camera. Hayley grilled Annie about her various and sundry crimes; Adam defended her.

At the courthouse, James told Liza that Madison had threatened him. Madison showed up and informed Frank that she had to try to save his family. She explained to Frank that she had gotten all the evidence she needed from James's place. They went into the courtroom and when James saw the files in Madison's possession, he pleaded guilty over Liza's objections and publicly apologized for his actions. Madison told Frank, Jesse and Angie how she had blackmailed James into pleading guilty. Angie took Madison back home with her and Madison thanked Frankie for believing in her. Frank left to update Randi on the situation and Angie assured Madison that the worst was behind them and that they would help her get the help she needed.

Ryan and Erica went back to the penthouse and discussed the custody case; she did her best to assure him that they would triumph. Ryan told Erica that he wanted to make sure that their relationship would be okay regardless of the battle ahead. Ryan toasted to Erica; she returned the favor.

Tuesday

Hayley introduced her documentary about Pine Valley, which had been named the Best Town In America. The first segment, "My Home," featured Adam talking about how he came to town. "I put Pine Valley on the map," he claimed. Erica made a similar comment in her interview. Ruth, Joe and Tad also spoke, and Tad recounted how he came to be adopted by the Martins. Brooke also spoke about her early days in the community. Krystal talked about putting down her roots in P.V., as did Ryan and Jesse and Angie. JR talked about meeting Babe. Brot talked about finding a home in P.V. after Iraq. Opal spoke of her love for the residents, "well, most of them." Palmer noted that despite Opal's denials, he knows she loves him. David vowed to take his last breath in P.V. Jake spoke of following in his dad's footsteps. Zach and Kendall spoke about how Pine Valley had changed them. Erica credited Mona with keeping her strong.

In the second section, "Love and Marriage in Pine Valley," Erica copped to her 10 marriages, Adam to his 13. Zach and Kendall talked about their wedding on the boat and contemplated having a big wedding someday. Opal gushed about the beautiful weddings in the town's history. Maria talked about her wedding to Edmund. Nina recalled her wedding to Cliff at Cortlandt Manor. Jack recalled Greenlee's ability to make a grand entrance. Marissa and JR talked about falling in love. Scott said that he wasn't even dating anyone. Greg spoke of how he and Jenny had been meant to be. Angie reflected on her life with Jesse. Frankie and Randi snuggled. Natalia talked about being single in town. Adam struggled to get his wives in proper chronological order. Krystal laughed that she had been single until coming to P.V., and since then has been married three times. Tad refused to cop to his interest in Liza. Liza said "never say never" with regards to finding love again. Annie talked about how she and Adam fell in love (and deliberately laid it on thick). Amanda and Jake spoke of their unlikely romance. Erica had no trouble putting her hubbies in chronological order. Ryan hinted that maybe he already had fallen in love again.

The third section was titled "Pine Valley: Family Friendly." Maria and Mateo talked about their crowded household growing up. "I miss it," admitted Mateo. Ryan said that he had blocked out most of his childhood and hadn't wanted children but, as Emma ran in and jumped on her daddy's lap, he beamed that he couldn't imagine his life without them. Palmer called Adam a rattlesnake who eats his young. Colby speculated about what she might major in in college, like family therapy or circus management. JR showed off Little Adam to Hayley. Erica compared Bianca to Mona and Kendall to herself. Bianca and Kendall talked about the joys and challenges of having Erica as a mom. "Almost everything I am, I owe to her," said Bianca. Tad said that his kids were his pride and joy. Amanda spoke fondly of Janet. Jake praised his parents and the rest of the Martins. David said that his kids would never know just how much he's done for them. Frankie talked about being reunited with his father. Randi said that she had never known what a family was until she was part of the Hubbard clan. Scott talked about being adopted into the Chandler family.

Section four, "Loss," dealt with the deaths of loved ones. Erica recalled her relationship with Myrtle. "I still talk to Dixie all the time," said Tad. "I miss her so," said Palmer of Dixie. Opal and Greg spoke about Jenny. Brooke spoke of Laura dying at the hands of a drunk driver. Krystal talked about losing Babe. Hayley comforted JR when he got choked up about Babe's demise. David pontificated about how much people love to hate him. Ryan talked about how full of life Greenlee had been. Mateo and Maria both got emotional about their dead sister, Julia. Adam spoke lovingly of the late Stuart and had to cut the interview short. Hayley embraced her father.

In the section on leaving Pine Valley, Lily detailed the ways to travel away from the city. Everyone agreed that even after leaving, the pull to their hometown was strong, that P.V. still felt like home. Brooke winked that if she were to move back, someone would have to warn Erica. "Brooke who?" was Erica's response. The next section? "Hope." Jake and Jesse and Angie talked about the wreckage in the wake of the tornado. Krystal and David told the story of how Babe died in the storm. Ruth and Joe talked about the 1994 tornado that decimated their home. Bianca predicted that having been born in the storm, Gabrielle might one day become the strongest Kane woman of them all.

In the conclusion of the documentary, Hayley said that she felt Pine Valley deserved the title "The Best Town in America." Tad said that he was a P.V. lifer. Jake smiled that he had everything he needed in the town. Liza said that coming home wasn't always easy. "My family is here, my future is here," said JR, snuggling with Marissa and Little Adam. Adam and Annie bussed for the camera. Frank and Randi joined Jesse and Angie for a family cuddle. Erica said that "everyone who lives here feels a connection. You don't have to be related. You don't even have to like each other ... Pine Valley is like a home with a lot of rooms." As the episode drew to a close, Show Creator Agnes Nixon read the show's opening poem: "The great and the least/The weak and the strong/The rich and the poor/In sickness and health/In joy and sorrow/In tragedy and triumph/You are All My Children."

Wednesday

Jake reported to Tad that the compound David is supposedly taking is the real deal. Liza interrupted their lunch at ConFusion with a restraining order barring her and Tad from Gloucester. She blamed Tad for hurting her career with this setback and said she wants out of their investigation into David's misdeeds. Jake, however, was not willing to back down.

At the hospital, David griped to Amanda and Angie that Hayley's makeup artists didn't make him look very good on-screen. Angie noted that he looked rather lively, and David accused her of trying to make it sound like he's not really sick. Amanda watched with glee as Angie knocked him down a peg with a dig about his management skills, then confronted him about his business in Gloucester. He apologized for lying and insisted that it was to get the not-yet-approved drug he's taking. David then went to consult with a doctor about Greenlee's procedure, while Madison confided in Angie about her troubling history with men. Angie suggested she see a shrink.

At ConFusion, Tad asked his brother to promise not to go snooping around Gloucester without giving him a heads up. Amanda arrived and berated Jake for his obsession with exposing David. If he doesn't stop, she threatened, she'll leave him. Tad met Liza at her place for Chinese food, and she admitted she can't stay mad at him for long. Pretty soon, they were kissing.

Opal caught up with Erica after the airing of the WAVE special and sensed that Erica regrets something she said. Erica admitted that she did say she was counting on falling in love again, and wasn't sure how Ryan would feel about that, considering they'd agreed to take things slow. Just as Erica received a copy of the documentary, Ryan got one as well. Opal wanted to watch the DVD with Erica, but she wanted to watch it alone. Erica was about to put on the DVD when Ryan arrived and asked if she was up for some company. They nervously watched themselves openly discussing their love lives, and both smiled as they realized what they said was pretty much in sync. "Now what?" Erica asked, and he answered with a kiss. His phone rang, but he ignored it and they resumed kissing.

In Gloucester, Gayle tended to Greenlee, who quietly rambled on about needing to get "home." She fell back to sleep and dreamed that she went to see her father and Erica answered the door, dropping a mug at the sight of her. She imagined Jack telling her that Erica helped him get through the difficult year following her "death." Erica pointed her to a doorway, where she happily reunited with Zach and Kendall and expressed her confidence about seeing Ryan again. Greenlee dreamed that she came face to face with Ryan, but David woke her up to introduce her to Dr. Clayton. Just as Greenlee challenged David to tell her Ryan isn't wishing at that moment that she's alive, Ryan was kissing Erica.

Thursday

Tad and Liza continued to smooch. Later, a freaked out Bailey arrived to ask Liza for her help after Damon got fired (and arrested). Liza left to tend to the mess, while Bailey stayed behind with baby Stuart. Tad lectured her about being grateful for Liza's unwavering support. Bailey admitted she's struggling with the reality of being a teen mom and doesn't expect Liza to help her financially, but just came by tonight because she misses Liza as a cool friend. Meanwhile, Opal was taken aback when she knocked on Erica's door and realized she'd interrupted La Kane's own make out session with Ryan. After she left, Erica and Ryan both pointed out how their intimate moments keep getting interrupted and suggested they just wait. Ryan departed, even though both of them were still hot and bothered by each other.

In Gloucester, David fibbed to Greenlee's inquiry regarding all the residents of Pine Valley. He told her that Ryan is focusing on his kids and kept mum about everyone moving on with their lives in her absence. Greens was eager to get the surgery so she could be reunited with her loved ones. He promised to keep mum about her condition upon his return to PV and assured her that he'd be back to retrieve her before she knew it. He left her room to chat with Dr. Clayton and urged him to let Greens keep her little fantasy world because it's helping to keep her alive. Later, Greens explained to Dr. Clayton that she's willing to do whatever it takes to get her old life back and that she's ready for surgery. Meanwhile, at ConFusion, Amanda basically gave Jake an ultimatum regarding David and was upset that he doesn't have any sympathy for her son's dying father. Jake called David's bluff about his health and called Amanda out for falling into David's trap. They bickered and Amanda left, miffed that Jake's still going to Gloucester.

At the police station, Liza came to Damon's rescue and questioned his intentions with Bailey. Liza bailed him out, got his charges dropped and they both returned home, where Tad bristled at Damon's promise to change his ways. Liza shared a sweet moment with Stuart and Bailey before Tad stepped in to tell Liza that the teens need to split. Liza realized he was right.

Ryan was back at home and couldn't get his mind off of Erica. He flashed back to the moments they shared that sparked their romantic feelings for each other. Erica, meanwhile, did the same as she put on her DVD and ordered room service for one. Later, Erica was surprised when Ryan entered with her room service. He admitted that he couldn't stop thinking about her at home and it led him back to her place; she confessed the same. They couldn't wait any longer and started to undress.

David returned to PV and was surprised to see Amanda was at the house and had been crying. He claimed that things didn't go well at the hospital and he's decided to go to Malaysia for special treatment for a while to help manage his pain, instead of traveling to Gloucester. She asked him if he wanted her and little Trevor to go with him. "More than anything," he grinned but said it was a bad idea and played his cards by gaining more sympathy from Amanda regarding his condition. David said good-bye to Trevor.
Meanwhile, Jake went to go borrow a suitcase from Tad and saw Krystal who warned him about jeopardizing his marriage to Amanda just to stick it to David, citing her own relationship with Tad. Opal urged Jake not to travel, saying she has a bad feeling about it.

Back in Gloucester, Greenlee grilled Gayle about her feelings for David. Gayle, in turn, tried to tell Greens that people move on with their lives but always carry the past with them. She also pointed out that David likes to play the hero. Later, Greens had another dream of reuniting with Ryan, who was shocked by her appearance, said he never gave up on her and pulled her into a passionate hug. Meanwhile, back in PV, Ryan and Erica did some serious post-coital cuddling.

Friday

Liza and Tad woke up after having fallen asleep on the couch together. Liza assured him she's not distracted by the visit by Bailey and Stuart and needs to focus on Emma's custody case. Tad helped her do research on Judge Robinson, who they discovered Adam gave money to, and hoped that exposing him would help the case. Liza gave Tad a passionate kiss before rushing out. Marissa was at a loss.

Marissa was browsing some brochures for a romantic Brazilian vacation when JR entered. He spied them and was upset that their trip had to be postponed because of his treatment. Later, they met with JR's doc, who urged him to finally begin chemo again but he wanted to put it off so he and Marissa could enjoy a vacation first. Tad urged JR to reconsider. Tad worried that JR wouldn't go through with a second round of treatment at all. When Marissa came home, JR was already packing. He was happy the doc gave him to okay to travel. Marissa refused to go or to help him avoid reality; JR admitted he's scared.

Erica and Ryan woke up in bed together. They worried about what other people would think and agreed to keep quiet about their affair, then got excited about the prospect of sneaking around together. Later, Ryan got dressed and left to prep for court. Opal stopped by to see Erica, who fibbed about sleeping with Ryan, but Opal could sense a sexy energy. Erica continued to deny anything had happened. Opal was miffed that Erica wasn't 'fessing up and suggested that La Kane and Ryan could really make a relationship (and even marriage) work.

At the Chandler manse, Colby and Annie tangled over Colby's wardrobe for court. Adam entered and chided his daughter for back-talking to his wife. The teen shot back that Annie was going to just ditch Adam when she got Emma back, adding that she doesn't trust "evil" Annie. Meanwhile, Scott called Annie out on being spooked by Colby and scared that she may very well lose Emma for good this time. At Adam's urging, Colby apologized to Annie and agreed to change and support Annie in court. Later, Colby put on a happy face but then secretly threatened to expose Scott's relationship with Annie to Adam.

Liza met up with Ryan to say that they got a new judge, who sides with the mother in 90 percent of her cases. She suggested Emma testify to help his case, but Ryan reminded her that they've gone that route before and Emma was put in foster care. Later, at the courthouse, Adam and Annie were shocked about Robinson removing himself from the case. Annie fretted that they wouldn't stand a chance now.

Opal teased Tad about hooking up with Liza. He insisted there's nothing serious between them. Meanwhile, Ryan took to the stand and emotionally pleaded his case about keeping Emma. Next up, Annie explained to the judge that she was sick but always had love for her daughter. The judge then announced she's ready to make her decision.
