Monday

Richie called Annie, but got the answering machine. He muttered to himself that if she wanted to play games he had a few games of his own.

Ryan told "Kendall" that this was the best day of his life, and Annie's eyes opened wide at the sound of Kendall's name. "Did you just call me Kendall?" Ryan seemed equally as shocked, but tried to laugh it off. Annie cooled off after calling Ryan by her 7th grade boyfriend's name. After making love, Ryan asked if she was ready to take things to the next level: to try to make a baby. She told him she would love to have a baby with him someday. Annie called home and checked in on the kids. Corrina told her that Richie had been leaving a bunch of messages. Annie told him not to tell him they were out of town. After Corrina left the room, Richie came in and looked down at a sleeping Emma. He told her that since her mom didn't want to help him, she would have to step up and do it. Meanwhile, Annie was thinking about his request to be a donor. Richie was telling Emma he was taking her to Mexico, and was about to pick her up when his cell phone rang. It was Annie, saying she would be tested to see if she could be his donor. Richie walked out of Emma's room saying "sorry" over his shoulder.

Joe and Julia checked in on Quentin, and Joe told him help was on the way. Julia came back in later, and Quentin was getting ready to leave. She tried to stop him, but he collapsed. After getting him back in bed, Joe and Julia treated him as he began to seize. They feared he may have a contagious disease, and realized he was running out of time. They put him in isolation, and told him they had a specialist on the way.

Tad excitedly embraced Angie after she approached him from behind. She told him Joe had called her to consult on a case. He asked about Cassandra, who she said was in Europe with Jacob. He then introduced Angie to Krystal, and told Krystal about Jesse. Meanwhile, Adam collapsed right after Zach was pulled away from him. Colby ran out and brought Krystal, Tad and Angie in. Angie checked on Adam, but Adam was only concerned that they were letting Zach leave. Colby thanked Angie for helping her father. Angie introduced herself, and told Colby that she had known her mother in high school. Angie called Joe, who asked her to come to the hospital immediately. Tad offered her a ride, and they left. Krystal asked Dre to take Colby for a walk, and then asked Adam what he'd done to make Zach attack him. She told Adam that she didn't believe he really knew where Kate was. Adam told her he did know, but that the deal was off the table now, and she left. Colby asked Dre if they were ever going to talk about their kiss. Dre told her that he understood that it happened because Sean hurt her, but it was cool and he thought she was beautiful. Colby got Adam and told him she was taking him home, but made it clear she was not happy with him.

Kendall told Aidan and Greenlee that she hadn't been able to catch up with Zach; he disappeared. Greenlee promised she'd get herself home, and Aidan left with Kendall to help find Zach. Later, unable to find him, Kendall said she hadn't seen him like this since the day he disappeared into the bomb shelter for a month. Aidan called Greenlee to check on her, and when she didn't answer, he asked if they could stop by her place. Elsewhere, Greenlee came across Zach and said casually, "I thought I might find you here." She sat down to chat with him.

On the ride to the hospital, Angie spoke with Julia and told her what preparations to make for her arrival. Angie told Tad she was sorry she didn't come home for Dixie's funeral; if she had known she would have been there. He knew she would have, so no apology was necessary. Tad asked about Frankie, and Angie said he was always mysterious about his plans. At the hospital, Julia told Quentin about the specialist that was on the way — Dr. Hubbard. Joe greeted Angie as she came in, and Krystal joined Tad. Angie turned to go into Quentin's room, and Joe tried to stop her — "Before you go in I have something to tell you" — but it was too late. Angie entered the room and shouted, "Oh my God!" upon seeing Quentin. Crying, she hugged him, saying, "Frankie, it's really you."

Aidan and Kendall arrived at Greenlee's where they got a message from Greens saying she thought she knew where Zach went...but she didn't share where that was. Meanwhile, Zach was confiding in Greenlee. Eventually, they stood up to leave, but Greens doubled over in pain. She admitted that this wasn't the first time she'd had these pains, and she was scared it was something serious. At Greenlee's, Kendall suggested to Aidan that something happened between Zach and Greenlee in the bunker.

Tuesday

Aidan told Kendall there was no way Zach and Greenlee slept together. He thought it was Kendall's guilt talking. Kendall said that what happened between them was physical and it was because they thought they'd lost the people they loved. What was going on between Zach and Greenlee, however, was emotional. Aidan wondered if Kendall was worried that her and Greenlee's history of going after each other's boyfriends was repeating itself. Kendall told him that wasn't the point. Aidan refused to believe her theory. He told her they were going for a walk.

Zach assured Greenlee he wasn't going to let anything happen to her. They talked about missing the simplicity of the bomb shelter. Zach wanted her to go to the hospital, but she refused. She agreed to let him take her home after giving him a hug.

Adam asked Colby why she was so quiet. He tried to explain that the party didn't go as planned. She reminded him that she was a part of both his family and Tad and Krystal's, but when he pulled stunts like this, he made the Martins look better. She picked up her things, and Adam asked if she was spending the night. She told him she was, she knew where her home was.

Krystal thought back on Adam's offer and made a call. Joe told Tad the patient was Frankie Hubbard, and Tad filled him in on the events of Adam's little party. They ended up talking about Kate. In Frankie's room, Angie gave her son a hard time for leaving her in the dark about his whereabouts for so long. She asked questions about his conditions and he began to seize. When he stopped breathing, Angie performed a tracheotomy and was able to stabilize him. She thanked Julia for her help, and Julia formally introduced herself. Julia filled her in on everything she knew about Frankie's case. Angie told her to compare Frankie's blood work to any other patient that had been in Pine Valley Hospital in the last 10 years for similarities. Later, Julia brought back a few files, only one unsolved: Greenlee Smythe. Before leaving, Julia and Angie talked about motherhood, and Julia showed her a picture of Kathy before saying goodnight. Then Angie went back to Frankie's room and promised she was going to make him better.

Krystal arrived at JR's and made him promise not to tell anyone what she was about to tell him. He agreed. She told him about the deal Adam offered her that night, and said she thought there was some truth to it. She wanted him to pretend that he forgave Adam, so they could figure out what he knew.
She admitted she hadn't told Tad. She worried Tad would attack Adam, and then Adam would never tell them. JR agreed to do it.

Back at her apartment, Greenlee told Zach she was feeling better already.
Kendall and Aidan walked out of the elevator and Kendall thanked Aidan for calming her down, and apologized for her behavior. Zach opened Greenlee's front door as Kendall embraced Aidan: "Hey, what's going on here?" Kendall laid into him and Greenlee who appeared behind him. Greens managed to calm her down, and Kendall and Zach went home. Greenlee and Aidan sat down on the couch, and Aidan asked if Greenlee was alright. She lied and told him she was. She then thought better of it, and admitted she'd been lying to him about how she'd been feeling. She told him for that night she just wanted to go to bed with him, but she would get checked out first thing in the morning.

Krystal met Tad at the hospital and gave him a big hug. She told him she had a feeling it was going to be a really good year. Meanwhile, JR called Adam and told him he wanted to talk about a truce. Colby rushed in and whispered for him to be nice. JR said he would stop by the next day. After hanging up, Adam told Colby he thought her brother might be ready to come home.

Kendall told Zach she wanted them to be as close as they'd always been; she was feeling left out lately. She wanted to know what that night had really been about. He said he had just been an ass, and he didn't want to fight. They kissed.

Wednesday

Jack visited Erica as she prepared for her show, saying he wanted to talk to her. Erica jumped in with a favor to ask — could he fill in for the guest she just found out was missing? He said no at first, but she managed to sucker him into it. On air, Jack talked about the hard time their family had just gone through, and how their relationship was going. They ended the show by saying they were still friends. Once the cameras were off, Jack told her he was late for a meeting, so he no longer had time to discuss what he'd come there to talk about in the first place. Erica suggested they talk over dinner, and left before Jack had a chance to say no.

Angie called Cassandra and updated her on Frankie. When he woke up, he told her about an emergency tracheotomy he'd done in the field, and that the man had died anyway. Angie told him he was not going to die. Later, she met with Greenlee, and asked her about her symptoms. She told her about Frankie, her son, and brought Greens and Aidan in to see him. Aidan recognized him as Quentin.
Greenlee thanked him for helping save her life. Frankie pointed out that Aidan was the reason he was in the hospital for treatment in the first place, so he saved his life. Greenlee told Angie about the bomb shelter, and Angie said she wanted to check out the area. Angie started talking about the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and Greenlee began to panic and left the room. Aidan asked Frankie, soldier to soldier, how bad it was. "Bad. real bad." Later, Angie said that Greenlee's exam results showed she was in surprisingly good shape. Greens wanted to go to Fusion, but Angie insisted that she check in to the hospital. Reluctantly, Greenlee agreed. A nurse started to check her in, but left her alone for a minute and Greenlee bailed.

At Fusion, Kendall, Babe and Amanda worked. Kendall got nervous when she noticed her manuscript was missing. Meanwhile, at home, Greenlee was on the phone with someone from Hyperion, saying she wanted to be there when Kendall realized her book was being published. Aidan came out of the shower, and voiced his sadness that it was Zach who was able to convince her to go to the hospital, not him. In the end, he was just happy she was going, and he agreed to take her there. Back at Fusion, Kendall reminisced about Simone when she found a drawing of hers. They were discussing models when Ava walked in, and Ava was perturbed to find out she would have to share the catwalk with other models during the fashion show. They turned on the TV as Jack and Erica came on NEW BEGINNINGS. The ladies started talking about relationships, and the conversation turned to what Amanda did to JR, and eventually to Kendall's old relationships with Ryan and Aidan. Kendall quickly turned the conversation back to business, but soon they were interrupted by a woman who announced she was there to talk to the author of their new romance novel: Charm, by Kendall Hart. Kendall denied she was an author. The woman from Hyperion read a sexy excerpt from the book, and Kendall quickly cut her off and claimed it was a journal entry from when her husband was missing. The woman told her she thought she would be thanking her friend Greenlee for sending in the manuscript. Kendall asked if there was a way to stop the book from being released, and the woman told her she would have to make a decision soon. As she left, Greenlee rushed in, asking if she missed it. Kendall asked everyone else to leave, and told Greenlee she'd like to smack her with the book.

Ryan visited Zach at the casino. Ryan said he wanted to start a charity, and he wanted Zach to match his contribution. Zach thanked him for saving Kendall, and told him anything he had was his. Ryan expanded his idea — he wanted to spend the next three months in Africa. He'd talked to Jamie Martin who was there, and even though they weren't doctors they could help fund-raise and organize. Zach wondered if Annie was going to be okay with living in Africa. He tried to point out that it wasn't realistic for both their families to go, and declined Ryan's offer. This led to a little argument. Zach tried to calm him down, and asked if Ryan was feeling alright. He suggested Ryan slow down. He understood that Ryan was grateful for his life, but he couldn't change the world overnight. Ryan seemed to accept this, and left after a quick hug. Alone, Ryan paused in the casino, even after an employee directed him to an exit.

Annie and Richie went to the hospital for Annie's test. Before she would submit to it, Annie wanted Richie to sign a confession of all his sins. Richie thought she would use the confession to send him back to jail, but Annie said she wouldn't, as long as he stayed away from her. It was her insurance that he would never bother her again. When he didn't agree to sign, she started to leave, but he called after her to stop.

Aidan called Zach and told him that he and Kendall needed to come down and have their blood tested to see if they have what Greenlee and Quentin (a.k.a.
Frankie) have. In Frankie's room, Angie vowed to figure out what was making her son sick.

Thursday

At the hospital, Julia asked Zach about his blood test results. He told her he was clean, with no sign of whatever Greenlee and Frankie had. Julia told him she was heading out to hunt Greenlee down. Zach asked where he could find Dr. Hubbard. Julia replied she was at the last place he would want to go.

Aidan showed Angie the location of the bomb shelter. He told her he couldn't have saved Zach and Greenlee without Frankie's help. Angie warned him they were running out of time. She asked about the man who owned the property originally, and suggested Aidan find him. Aidan thought they needed to consider what was underground, and Zach came up behind them saying he may be able to help them with that. He mentioned Greenlee's snake bite, but Angie said that couldn't be the problem for two reasons: the venom would already be out of her system, and Frankie hadn't been bitten. Aidan got a call about Sylvester and left Angie and Zach alone for a few minutes. Zach formally introduced himself. He spotted a root that looked familiar, and they decided to bring it back with them. When Aidan came back, he told them that Sylvester hadn't been found yet. Then he showed Angie where Frankie had been camping; she was devastated. As they tried to make her feel better, Aidan got another call with news that shocked him. After getting off the phone with another doctor, Angie filled Aidan and Zach in. Sylvester had died of asphyxiation — his throat closed. Similar to what had almost happened to Frankie. Angie pointed out that Greenlee said she had been having trouble swallowing.

Josh met with Ryan, who thought he was there on Zach's wishes to make sure he hadn't lost it. Josh told him he admired what he wanted to do. Ryan told him how supportive Annie was. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Richie signed the confession. Annie said there was one more thing — she wanted to know what he planned to do with his life if he lived. Richie didn't think he could change. After Annie went in, her cell phone rang, and Richie picked it up, greeting Ryan. He rushed to the hospital and burst into Annie's room just as the nurse finished a test, demanding that they stop. Annie insisted she was there of her own free will, and Richie confirmed she was there to save his life.

Tad, Krystal and Jenny enjoyed the outdoors. He asked if Babe was okay about JR moving in across the street, but he wondered why JR hadn't unpacked. Everything was still boxed up. Krystal suggested maybe JR took a hint and found another place to live. Tad brought up the previous evening, and wondered what Adam's motives could have been. Krystal flashed back to her conversation with Adam about Kate. She lied and said that Adam thought she'd come running back once he had Chandler back, but she let him know her home was with Tad. They shared a kiss. Meanwhile, Babe walked into JR's empty condo with a look of shock. She questioned a mover, who told her the obvious, that he was moving, and that she could ask him where herself. When he was done, she left sadly.

Adam greeted JR, and JR immediately told him he wanted to move home. Adam wanted to know why. JR threw out several reasons, none of which Adam seemed to buy. JR threatened to leave, and Adam caved and welcomed him home. Adam packed up all the alcohol, to respect JR's sobriety, and told him how happy he was to have his family back. JR asked how he got Chandler back, and Adam shared the story with him. He asked Adam to promise that they would have no more secrets between them. He wanted to talk about Tad — he needed to know that Adam didn't have any agendas regarding his family. He brought up Dixie, then Kate. Adam said perhaps Kate was better off where she was...wherever that was. When it was clear Adam wouldn't be revealing anything, JR excused himself to check on the movers. Adam said he would get the housekeeper to do it, and left. JR's eyes landed on the picture that covered the safe. He removed the picture, but soon replaced it. He got a call from Krystal, and he told her he was in. Krystal warned him to be careful, and told him Tad was asking questions about his living situation. He told her to tell him it was typical JR, he was sure Tad would buy it. After he got off the phone, Adam came back in and told him he was glad he was home. JR said it was where he needed to be.

Greenlee admitted she should have checked with Kendall before she submitted her manuscript. Kendall railed at her, but Greenlee just cracked up. She had a hard time feeling bad for Kendall, the successful author. Kendall suddenly realized she was right. They celebrated with margaritas, and Kendall apologized for overreacting. Greenlee told Kendall about her time in the bomb shelter eating a snake, then drinking the liquid from a plant Zach had found. Zach had let her have all of it. Then she read her favorite portion from Kendall's book, the same sexy scene the Hyperion representative had read earlier. Kendall briefly looked uncomfortable, but soon they were joking around. Julia walked in interrupting, and told Greenlee it was time for her to go back to the hospital. Kendall got concerned, and Greenlee denied feeling bad. Just as they convinced her to go, Greenlee began struggling to breathe.

Friday

Annie explained to Ryan that she felt she needed to get tested to see if she was a match for Richie's bone marrow. Ryan wanted to know why Annie hadn't told him. He didn't understand why she would want to prolong the life of a man who was torturing her. Richie tried to explain that they had worked that out, but Ryan grabbed him and threw him up against the wall. Annie begged Ryan to let him go, and security burst into the room. Ryan released him and seemed as confused by his reaction as Annie was. He apologized, and Richie told the security guard he didn't need the police. Richie thanked Annie, and left. Annie told Ryan she wanted him to go back to the doctor. He was reluctant, but in the end, he agreed. They left the hospital, and walked through the park. She apologized for not telling him about being tested, but pulled out the signed confession to show him. She told him Richie had agreed to leave town once this is over. Ryan was proud of her. He walked away to get another hot dog, and Annie called Joe and left a message asking him to call her, because she was worried about Ryan.

Babe and Amanda sat down at ConFusion, and Babe got right down to business.
Amanda hoped they could talk about something other than work. Babe again gave her a hard time about what she did to JR. Amanda told her how much she hated them not being friends, but reminded her how nice it was to have money. Babe softened a little at the idea of Adam having to pay her, and agreed that Kendall had been right when she said none of them had the right to pass judgment. They called a truce. Amanda admitted that JR had really hurt her, and said that in the end she realized he was truly in love with Babe. She asked Babe if she still had feelings for JR. As Babe tried to deny that she did, Richie walked in and Amanda said she should prove it. He approached them, and Amanda excused herself. Babe tried to go with her, but Amanda stopped her, and Babe was stuck. Richie told Babe that Annie got tested earlier. Babe was happy to hear it. Richie tried to convince her to stay and have dinner with him. Finally she agreed. As they sat down, he told her about Ryan's freak out, but mostly he talked about how Annie had asked what he would do with his life if he got a chance to live. He told Babe the idea of living was almost scarier than dying.

Angie explained to Aidan and Zach that all of Sylvester's organs had been attacked by an unknown agent, and his system shut down. Aidan tried calling Greenlee. Meanwhile, paramedics arrived at Fusion. Kendall picked up Greenlee's phone and told Aidan to meet them at the hospital. Aidan, Zach and Angie arrived at PVH as Greenlee was being rushed in. Zach pulled Kendall aside and told her she had to get a blood test because Sylvester was dead, and he had the same symptoms as Greenlee and Frankie. After she took the tests, he mentioned the root and left, saying he had to go check on something.

Opal came to visit Frankie. She insisted Angie wasn't going to let anything happen to him. She gave him a picture of his parents from when they were younger. Joe came in and told her that her time was up and Frankie needed to rest. Before she left, she set up the picture next to his bed, and told him his father was watching him from up above. After she left, a nurse brought Joe Frankie's latest test results. They showed his lungs and kidneys were being attacked. Joe asked the nurse where Angie was. Meanwhile, Angie worked on Greenlee. She finished up, and met Kendall in the hall. Angie reported that Greenlee was breathing on her own, and Kendall went in to see her. Aidan told Greens she had to fight. Angie asked Julia for Sylvester's files, and asked if they'd heard form the CDC yet. Julia said she'd been in contact with them, but there was no information yet. Joe told Julia they were running out of options, and suggested Kendall call Jackson. He told Aidan they needed to start getting blood donations. Greenlee asked Angie if she was dying. Angie said that wasn't going to happen if she had anything to do with it. Outside Greenlee's room, Aidan brought Angie a cup of coffee. He went into Greenlee's room to watch her sleep. Kendall joined him and told him she couldn't reach Jack.

Erica met with Jack and flirted away. She asked him to consider coming back on the show. He said absolutely not, so she asked what he wanted to speak to her about. He pulled out an envelope and handed it to her. "Oh that," she scoffed. Jackson pointed out that it could get her in a lot of trouble. She made a call to a man named Warren, but she was unable to reach him. Jackson told her that it looked suspicious that she had purchased hundreds of shares of stocks purchased the day before the company was sold. She said she would get Warren on it first thing in the morning. Jackson pointed out that when the government demanded to see you, it was "something." Erica changed the subject and asked who was "lighting his fire" these days. She noted Julia didn't seem very "fiery" to her. Jackson noted she was the only one who thought he was dating Julia. He asked if she was dating anyone. She said she was out all the time, but it was so boring. After dinner, Jack asked Erica if he could give her a ride home, but she said she had a car waiting. He kissed her goodbye on the lips. After she left, he picked up the phone and noticed Kendall's call. He checked the message, and rushed to the hospital.

Julia came in to Greenlee's room as she woke up and told her, Kendall and Aidan that Zach may have found a link between Greenlee and Frankie — the root. Everyone got a little freaked out when members of the CDC showed up outside of her room. The test results came back, and the root proved to be extremely toxic. Angie thought there was a good chance it was what killed Sylvester, but she hoped they would be able to use the root to create an antidote. The clock was ticking, and they would have to work fast. Meanwhile, a man walked into Frankie's room. A very much alive Jesse appeared and tentatively touched his sleeping son's leg.
