AMC Week of February 2, 2009
Monday
At ConFusion, JR told Colby that Amanda wants Ryan and Greenlee to adopt her
baby. JR noted that everything would be fine so long as Adam didn't learn of
the pregnancy. Adam overheard part of their conversation; they tried to
cover. An arriving Amanda asked to speak to JR privately. Across the room,
Adam roughed up Petey, mistakenly thinking from the comment he overheard
that Pete had gotten Colby pregnant. Colby broke it up while Amanda told JR
that Ryan and Greens had said no to the adoption. Adam deduced that Amanda
must be pregnant. Amanda was uneasy when she noticed Adam staring at her.
Colby told Pete that she misses him. Adam asked JR point-blank if Amanda was
carrying his child. JR confirmed it but ordered Adam to back off. "That's
Chandler blood!" reminded Adam, making it clear that he intended to stake a
claim on the kid. He also noted that it was tacky of JR to have impregnated
Babe's best friend. JR stormed off.
Tad freaked out when he discovered that Kathy is missing. Angie and Jesse
tried to keep him calm, with little success.... Krystal left a panicked
message for David. She went back to Tad's, where Angie informed her of
Kathy's disappearance. Angie thought David was responsible. Angie and
Krystal's exchange grew harsher as Krystal made a dig at how Angie allowed
Rebecca to move in with her and Jesse.
Amanda found Kathy wandering on the docks and brought her back to the yacht.
Kathy begged Amanda not to call Tad. She filled Amanda in on the bickering
she'd heard between Tad and Krystal. Amanda reassured Kathy of her daddy's
love. She threw her arms around Amanda. JR entered and Amanda told him that
she'd changed her mind about the baby: She wanted to keep it. He was
thrilled. David spied on them....
At the hospital, Kendall reeled from Bianca's revelation that Zach was the
sperm donor for Gaby. Zach told Reese and Binks to leave so that he could
speak to Kendall alone. Zach explained himself to Kendall and she claimed to
be happy that he gave his sperm to Binks.... David pressed Erica to help him
get custody of Little Adam.... Kendall was subtly dismayed to hear that
Binks and Reese and the baby were staying in Pine Valley for a while. When
David came to check on Kendall, Zach assured Reese, Bianca and Erica that
Kendall had taken the Gaby news well.... David counseled Kendall about
adjusting to having her brother's heart. He cut her off when Kendall asked
how Babe was.... Binks went in to see her sis. She asked Kendall to be Gaby's
godmother.... Tad attacked David, accusing him of having Kathy. David denied
the charge.... Erica spoke to Kendall about Gaby. Kendall didn't buy that La
Kane was okay with Zach having sired the baby and snapped, "Shut up, Mother,
and tell me what you really think." La Kane acknowledged her suspicions
about Reese. Kendall picked up on the fact that Erica thinks Reese has
designs on Zach. Zach entered with the boys. She couldn't believe how big
they'd gotten. She also asked to meet Gabrielle. Bianca brought in the baby
and Kendall pronounced her to be beautiful. But before long, her expression
darkened....
Back at the Martin house, Tad, Krystal, Jesse and Angie brainstormed about
what could have happened to Kathy. At Jesse's prodding, Tad and Krystal
realized that Kathy must have heard them arguing. They began trading blame
and accusations until Jesse ordered them to calm down.
Tuesday
On the yacht, Amanda stopped JR from phoning Tad, noting that she'd promised
the girl that she would wait. JR and Amanda discussed her decision to keep
the baby. David summoned Krystal to the waterfront. He told Krystal that
Kathy was on the yacht. Per David's suggestion, Krystal phoned JR and
pretended to be surprised when he said that he was with the "missing" child.
Krystal went to the yacht and threw her arms around Kathy. After they left,
JR continued to soothe Amanda's worries about becoming a mom, then broke the
bad news that Adam is aware of her pregnancy. Amanda flipped. She also
shared with JR that David remains convinced that he's the true father. JR
told Amanda to pack her things and move in with him.
At the Martin house, Jesse put pressure on the cops to locate Kathy. Tad
beat himself up for letting Kathy hear him say that Jenny was the most
important thing to him. Krystal called with the good news about Kathy. Angie
remained convinced that David was behind the girl's appearance, sending Tad
into a rage. When Krystal and Kathy showed up, Krystal took offense to Tad's
accusation that David was behind Kathy leaving. Kathy told her version of
the story, but Tad still wouldn't back down. Their argument quickly
escalated, with Krystal accusing Tad of regarding her as a poor substitute
for Dixie. Kathy screamed at them to stop fighting. Tad and Krystal calmed
down and apologized to the girl. Tad then extended an olive branch to
Krystal, noting that if she was truly off the pills, perhaps it was time to
discuss extending her rights where Jenny was concerned. When Krystal exited,
she was surprised by David, who proposed marriage to her.
Greenlee assured Ryan that she wanted to marry him despite her worry over
the constant drama in their lives. When Opal called, saying that she had
something to show Greens, Greenlee ignored Ryan's advice and said that they
would be right over. At Cortlandt Manor, Opal reported that there was
nothing but blue skies ahead for them. Greens shared the good news with
Pete, while Ryan took Opal aside to thank her. Turns out, he'd put Opal up
to lying to Greens about the cards now indicating that Ryan and Greenlee's
wedding day would be great. Opal remained worried.... Ryan and Greens came
home and celebrated in bed. Later, Ryan had a horrific nightmare about
Greens dying.... Opal confessed to Pete that she had lied and that if Ryan
and Greens wed, their new life will be over before it begins.
At Oak Haven, Aidan and Annie reviewed his instructions (for her never to
tell Sinclair that she killed Richie). When Sinclair came into Aidan's room,
he furthered the ruse of trying to get revenge on Ryan by making sure that
Annie remains locked up. Aidan tried to get Sinclair to admit to her vested
interest in Annie's case. In her room, Annie became disturbed while looking
at the pics of Richie's corpse. Aidan came in after Sinclair told him to get
Annie to cop to faking her condition. Sinclair listened through the vents as
Aidan, while pantomiming and otherwise trying to cue her to remain mum,
seemingly tried to get a confused Annie to confess to Richie's murder. As
Aidan reviewed the gory details of Richie's demise, Sinclair wept.
Wednesday
At Wildwind, David asked Krystal for an answer to his proposal. She kissed
him passionately, then told him that the answer is no. David was
disappointed. Krystal excused herself to go visit with Little A.
At the Chandler manse, JR informed Adam that Amanda is moving in and that
they are keeping the baby. Adam trash-talked Amanda but JR ordered Adam to
back off. When Krystal arrived and Adam probed her about David, Krystal told
him it was none of his business. When Adam divulged that Amanda is pregnant,
Krystal flashed back to David confessing that he'd slept with her.
At Fusion, Amanda told Greenlee that she decided to keep the baby.
Greens congratulated her, then panicked and called a company meeting about
the dire financial straits the company is in. Greens ordered Pete to hack
into Erica's computer. JR came by and Amanda told him to leave; she didn't
want to move into the mansion. While they discussed the matter, Amanda
doubled over in pain.
Jake visited Angie at the loft. Jesse overheard Jake saying that breaking
into Wildwind was his idea. Jesse demanded to speak to Jake alone. Jake
said he was going to take the fall for the Wildwind breaking-and-entering.
Jake and Frank agreed to work together to get the goods on David, provided
that Jake leave Angie out of it. After Jake left, Angie apologized to Jesse
for having been so hard on him and for lying to him.
At the Slaters', Zach excitedly prepared for Kendall's homecoming.
At the hospital, Erica came to visit Kendall, who was excited about
returning home to Zach and the boys. They chatted about Fusion, and about
how Erica and Greenlee had been getting along. David advised Kendall on how
to manage her health upon being dismissed from the hospital. Kendall reacted
badly when Erica noted how much time Zach had been spending at the casino,
"with Reese by his side," Kendall noted archly. When Zach showed up at the
hospital, Kendall's bed was empty and Zach flipped. Erica calmed Zach down
and Kendall returned, having received a clean bill of health from David.
"Take me home," Kendall grinned.
At the hospital, JR beat himself up to Randi for having pushed Amanda too
far. David overheard and asked JR what is wrong with Amanda. JR gave him
the brush-off, so he barged in on Frank's examination of Amanda. David
didn't stay long, much to Amanda's relief. Frank showed Amanda her baby's
heartbeat. "It's really real," Amanda marveled. Frank told Amanda that she
needs to reduce her stress, although he claimed to be powerless to keep
David away from her. Randi was by Amanda's side when Frank revealed that it
looked like the baby had been conceived in mid-November, meaning that David
was the daddy. "He can't know!" Amanda insisted. To spare the baby from the
fate of having David as a father, Frank doctored the results.... Krystal
came to the hospital and talked to David about Amanda's pregnancy.
Erica showed up at Fusion to discover Greenlee dismantling her office. The
ladies bickered. Adam stormed in, having heard about Fusion's dismal
financial outlook. Greenlee revealed to Adam that Fusion's numbers had
plunged, thanks to Erica. La Kane was upset that Greenlee hacked into her
computer. Adam demanded his investment back, then left. Greens and Erica's
argument continued. La Kane insisted that Greens not tell Kendall about the
financial mess.
Bianca, Miranda, Spike and Ian greeted Kendall when she and Zach came home.
They gave her a welcome-home gift (a Sleeping Beauty bracelet). When Reese
entered with Gabrielle, Zach took the baby, and Kendall struggled to keep it
together. Zach showed Kendall pictures of the stuff she'd missed. Reese,
Bianca and Gabby made themselves scarce, but Kendall remained distracted by
Reese.... Reese and Bianca snuggled with Gabby upstairs, but Reese seemed as
distracted by Kendall as Kendall did by Reese.... Kendall asked Zach what
he'd been doing since she was comatose. He said he had taken care of the
boys, worked, and visited with her. Kendall told Zach that she is tired. He
laid down beside her. Zach fell asleep easily, but Kendall's eyes fixed on a
photo of the family (minus her) in which Reese was gazing lovingly at Zach.
Jake sneaked into the hospital and stole some meds.
After her examination and Frank's computer handiwork, Amanda told JR and
David that JR was definitely the daddy. Alone with Amanda, David warned her
that he doesn't trust her or Frank, and that if the baby is his, he will
find out about it. In front of Krystal, David covered. "Poor kid's a
Chandler," he then assured Krystal.... Amanda told JR that she did want to
move in with him, after all.
Thursday
At the hospital, David goaded JR and Amanda, who had just decided to move in
together. JR left with Amanda, and Krystal confronted David about his
interest in Amanda. Krystal made him swear that the baby wasn't his. David
then demanded to know what Jake was doing at the hospital. Frank covered for
Jake by saying he was there to have lunch with him.
Greenlee paid a visit to the Slater house. Erica stormed in shortly
thereafter. Greens and Erica immediately began bickering about Fusion. Zach
threw them out after breaking the news that Babe had died in the tornado.
Krystal went by Tad's to check on Kathy. Tad left her there with Jenny to go
help Jesse with the David ploy.
Reese and Bianca started to make love but Reese pulled back. She said she
felt uncomfortable because of Kendall. Binks took offense, insisting that
Kendall was fine with everything. When Reese went downstairs, Kendall asked
to speak to her privately. Reese insisted to Kendall that she loves Bianca
and that Gabrielle is a symbol of their love. Their interaction was
ostensibly friendly, but Kendall seemed tense... Zach went upstairs to check
on Bianca and Gabrielle. Zach noted that Kendall's reaction to him being the
sperm donor was out of character. He came back downstairs and apologized to
Kendall for not having asked her permission to be the sperm donor. He
claimed that he had felt it was something he had to do because of what
Michael did to Bianca. Kendall suggested that he'd also done it to get back
at her for sleeping with Aidan.... Reese went back upstairs and made nice
with Binks.... Kendall told Zach that she didn't want Bianca and Reese in
her house. "Get rid of them," she said.
Angie tried to get Jesse to tell her how he intended "to make everything
normal." After assuring her that he wouldn't tell anyone about Jake having
helped her break into Wildwind, Jesse got her to leave, then let Jake in
through the window. Jake handed over the pills (the plan was to crush them
up, make new capsules out of them, and use them to frame David). Tad entered
and joined them in their conspiring. Pills in hand, he sneaked into
Wildwind. Krystal entered with Jenny and was shocked to find Tad there. He
feigned upset about her having brought Jenny to Wildwind, grabbed his
daughter and left. Jesse showed up with a warrant. Krystal insisted that
there was nothing there, but Jesse quickly found a pouch of pills in the
piano.
At Fusion, Erica ordered Pete to unpack her stuff. Greens ordered him to
keep it packed. On Pete's suggestion, they flipped a coin — which Pete then
swallowed. A catfight ensued between Erica and Greenlee using chairs as
weapons. Pete tried to intervene. Greens ended up unconscious on the floor.
"She's bleeding!" gasped Pete. "You killed her!"
At the manse, Adam continued to flip out over Chandler's financial woes. JR
entered and broke the news that Amanda was moving in. Adam demanded proof
that JR is the daddy and said that Amanda had to agree to sign the child
over. JR told Adam that he had no claim over the child. Amanda agreed to
talk to Adam alone. Adam made it clear that he intended to keep a close eye
on Amanda, who, he believed, was after JR's money. Adam was especially
curious to know how Amanda had money in the wake of the Bella disaster. When
he made a comment to that effect to JR, JR told him to get a life.... David
used the tunnels to accost Amanda in her bed. He warned Amanda that he would
expose her to JR unless she helped him get Little A.
Rebecca made Frank promise not to tell anyone what she had just learned:
She's dying. "The chemo isn't working," she confided. Frank said he
understood why she wanted to keep her condition a secret. She expressed her
gratitude. When Natalia showed up, on a high from training at the police
academy, Rebecca fibbed that she was on the mend. She fed the same lie to
Angie back at the loft. Rebecca announced that she was going to Denver for a
few days and insisted on going alone. Angie had a bad feeling when she said
good-bye to Rebecca, who thanked her for everything and made her promise to
take care of Natalia.
Friday
Krystal protested when Jesse confiscated a pouch of drugs from David's
piano, noting that Tad had just been in the house. David returned home and
Krystal covered for Tad. Jesse put David in handcuffs. Hayward insisted that
he speak with Jesse alone. Jesse offered to drop the charges if Jesse
reinstated Jake and Angie at the hospital. After Jesse left, David angrily
demanded that Krystal tell her who had been in the house. She blasted him
for hurting her friends and asked if, once he got Little Adam, he would stop
destroying people's lives. David swore that he would drop his quest for
Little A for her.... Jesse returned to the hospital with good news: Angie
and Jake had their jobs back and the charges against Angie had been dropped.
Reese noted to Bianca that Kendall seemed genuinely supportive of them.
Downstairs, Kendall reiterated to Zach that she didn't want Reese and Binks
living with them. Zach balked; Kendall insisted. While his wife was bathing
with the aid of a nurse, Zach broke the news to the women that it was time
for them to move out. Reese and Binks protested a bit on account of the fact
that their wedding was right around the corner, but capitulated when Zach
assured them that this was his decision, not Kendall's. Movers arrived
immediately.
At Fusion, where Erica had just knocked out Greenlee, La Kane summoned am
ambulance. Ryan entered as Greenlee came to. Ryan chastised Erica, who
called a truce with Greens. At the hospital, Ryan told Greenlee about the
vision he'd had of her lying in her own blood. Ryan insisted that the
visions were meaningless. He excused himself so that Frank could examine
Greens. Tad caught up with Ryan and reported that he had new info on
Sinclair.
Erica took Pete to task for hacking into her computer. She cautioned him
against his loyalty to Greenlee.
Sinclair continued to push Annie regarding Richie, but, mindful of Aidan's
instructions, she tried to resist admitting to killing her brother. Sinclair
slapped Annie when she said that Richie deserved to die. Sinclair came in to
see Aidan and complained about Annie's stonewalling. Aidan expressed
compassion for Sinclair's position. He then visited Annie; Sinclair spied as
Aidan hugged Annie and told her that Sinclair had obviously had a personal
relationship with Richie. An orderly pulled Aidan out of the room. In the
hallway, Sinclair reiterated to Aidan that she intended to get the truth out
of Annie. Ryan showed up at Oak Haven and demanded to see Sinclair. Aidan
surprised him with his presence. "What the hell are you doing here?" he
gasped.
Post-hospital, Greens paid a visit to Kendall. Greens told Kendall that they
needed to get Erica out of the company. Kendall told Greens that she wasn't
a fan of Reese's and vented about Zach siring Gabrielle. Greens said that
she'd picked up on Zach's connection to Reese, herself. Kendall reeled from
Greenlee's admission that Binks had suspected that something was going on
between Reese and Zach. Greens reassured Kendall that Zach would never cheat
on her.
Erica visited Zach, Reese and Bianca at their new suite at the casino, next
door to her own room. Alone with Zach, Erica pressed him to tell her the
real reason that Reese and Binks moved out. She insisted that she wanted
Reese and Bianca to be happy. After Erica left, Bianca called out Zach on
the fact that Kendall was jealous of Reese and Zach's closeness. After Zach
left, Reese told Bianca she knew that Kendall didn't want her around. Zach
returned home and Kendall wouldn't let him kiss her.
Back at Fusion, Erica and Greenlee resolved to work together for the same of
the company.
