AMC Week of December 27, 2010
Monday
Kendall received a visit from Jack and Erica. Bianca and the girls arrived. Erica put the children to sleep as Kendall told Bianca about a dream she’d had that made her feel Zach’s presence. Kendall made a wish to find her way without Zach. Ian woke up and Kendall gave him his present from Zach.
At Krystal’s, the Martins and friends gathered. Amanda announced that she had invited Cara and Griffin to join them. Damon told Tad and Colby that he was going to apply to college. Colby seemed upset, noting that he was following in Liza’s footsteps, and excused herself. Griffin and Cara arrived and the group began to make tamales, a Castillo Christmas Eve tradition. Tad chatted with Griffin as Jake gave Amanda one of her presents. Tad made a speech; Griffin thanked everyone for including him and Cara.
The Hubbards surprised Jesse with a holiday celebration at the police station. Randi and Frankie pressed Mad to make a decision about the baby. Angie made a Christmas Eve speech, followed by Jesse’s toast to the crew. Mad fled after assuring Frankie that she was fine. Angie called Brot and Natalia out about being a couple. Jesse assured them that he wouldn’t transfer either of them.
Ryan played with the kids as Greenlee thought about Madison’s pregnancy. Ryan tried to get Greens to tell him what was wrong; she was saved by the doorbell. Annie arrived to see Emma. Greens, who couldn’t get visions of Mad out of her head, insisted that she had to leave.
Annie was upset that JR had to leave to go meet Marissa and AJ. He urged her to be patient. JR went home and met up with Marissa, AJ and Colby. Marissa gave JR his Christmas present: a petition for joint, rather than primary, custody. JR beamed. As JR and Marissa toasted to “us, and to our family,” an arriving Annie secretly watched. Marissa was once again evasive about the mysterious friend she had plans with. JR kissed Marissa on the cheek as an observing Annie fumed. After Marissa left, Annie revealed herself to JR and
Ryan brought Spike and Emma over to Kendall’s. Kendall gave Spike his gift from Zach (Zach’s Red Wings hat). Kendall told Erica that she wanted to open her own gift from Zach, but didn’t know if she could. With Erica’s help, she opened the present: Zach’s journal.
Madison slipped and fell on the ice. Ryan went home and wondered where Greenlee was.
Marissa went to see Scott. He told her he was through with being in jail.
Kendall was happy when Father Clarence showed up at her door.
Tuesday
Erica found Caleb alone at Wildwind. She counseled him on Asher, telling him about her troubled history with Kendall.
Kendall welcomed Father Clarence into her home. She tearfully begged him to bring Zach back to her. Clarence indicated to Kendall that Zach had left a message for her, then vanished. Kendall read Zach’s journal and had a realization. Erica stopped by and met Clarence. She found their meeting disconcerting (he hinted at her feelings for Caleb), but ultimately comforting.
Asher and Colby encountered each other in the Chandler living room. She tried to encourage him to be open to Caleb. Colby went to the hospital and after spying Caleb there, she phoned Asher and told him to come there. Asher and Caleb came face-to-face at the nursery. They ended up talking more about Asher’s birth. Colby then told Asher that Caleb had donated a lot of money to the neonatal unit. Asher told Colby what he had just learned (that Caleb had gone to visit him in the hospital when he was first born). Asher admitted that maybe he’d been wrong about his father. Meanwhile, Caleb spoke to Palmer’s portrait.
Jack went to Ryan’s bearing gifts. Meanwhile, Greenlee found Madison unconscious in the snow. Mad came to and Greens insisted on taking her to the hospital. Mad got a clean bill of health and thanked Greens for rescuing her. Mad admitted to Greens that she wants to keep the baby. Greens offered to help Madison start a new life in New York. She said yes. Greens went to Fusion and got stuck in the elevator. An arriving Kendall rescued her. The ladies enjoyed an emotional, teary reconciliation.
Mad told Frankie and Randi that she was keeping her baby. The trio observed Madison’s first sonogram.
Erica ran into Jack’s arms and told him that she loves him. Greens ran in, overjoyed, and offered even Erica a hug. She brought Kendall inside and the women announced that they were friends again. Kendall felt that an angel (Zach) had sent her to rescue Greenlee. Jack took Erica to the roof and they smooched.
Wednesday
Jake and Amanda's meal was interrupted when he was summoned back to work. Cara was also on duty. Jake and Cara worked together to save a car crash victim and reminisced about old times. Post-surgery, Jake told Cara that they probably shouldn't share the same shift in the future.
Tad and Natalia chatted at ConFusion. Brot came by; Tad left. Brot asked Nat to join him for breakfast. They made out. Nat assured Brot that she was ready to give their relationship a real shot.
Marissa and Scott got caught up at the prison. He wanted her to use her legal skills to secure his release. Scott was dubious when Marissa reported that JR had changed for the better. Marissa warned Scott that he needed a job before facing the parole board and the market was tough. Scott said he was ready to start from scratch.
Annie thought JR had gotten her flowers until she read the card and realized they were for Marissa. JR tried to soothe her hurt. JR brought the flowers to Krystal's and asked her to give them to Marissa. JR realized that Marissa had gone to visit Scott and pumped Krystal for details. JR was Scott's next jailhouse visitor. JR berated Scott for causing Chandler to lose Cortlandt and demanded to know what Scott was up to with Marissa. JR taunted Scott about Annie. Scott insisted that he no longer cared about JR, Annie or Chandler Enterprises.
Annie went to ConFusion to vent to Amanda about the flowers. Amanda expressed her own frustration about Cara. Jake showed up and whisked Amanda away. Amanda told Jake that she didn't want to let her insecurities about Cara get to her. Jake told Amanda he wanted to have another kid. When Jake went to take a shower, Amanda pretended to be Cara to call to check on Cara's immigration status.
Annie went back to the hotel room and found it filled to the rafters with flowers. JR told her that she had gone to see Scott. JR stressed that they needed to keep their relationship under wraps a little while longer and Annie said she couldn't keep sneaking around like this. JR again pleaded for her patience. When he left, she trashed some of the flowers.
Tad encountered Cara at Krystal's and she opened up about needing distance from Jake. She was tickled to learn that Tad and Krystal cohabitated despite their divorce. Tad agreed to join Cara for lunch.
Marissa returned to Krystal's and was pleased with the flowers from JR. She assured Krystal that she wasn't going to get sucked back into the Chandler men.
