Amanda watched in horror as JR took a drink. JR told Amanda that he didn't "need" to drink and gave Amanda a drink too. A quickly
regressing JR began to come on to Amanda. JR wanted to go to a bar and dance but fell down. When Amanda went to help him up, he saw that she had the shell. JR got emotional about the shell and wondered why, if the shell was so magical, could it not save Babe? JR broke down in Amanda's arms as he blamed himself for Babe's death. Krystal called David when JR was asleep. Amanda told David how disgusted she was.

Krystal stormed up the stairs unaware of the fire starting downstairs. Outside, David began to write her a note and heard the fire alarm sound. He called for Krystal but she didn't answer so he called 911. Inside, Krystal heard David and started down the stairs but fell and was knocked unconscious. David broke in and dragged her out of the house. As he tried to wake her up he said, "I'm not going to lose you too!" Krystal started coughing and came to. The firefighters put out the fire and told Krystal that the living room was a little damaged. Krystal was horrified that she caused a fire in the house. David insisted that Krystal stay the night with him at Wildwind. At Wildwind, Krystal called Opal and told her everything was fine and that she was going to stay at Angie and Jesse's. David arrived with the presents from Krystal's house; luckily they hadn't burnt down. Krystal apologized to David for
losing it earlier. David told her that giving her the pills was just to
help her. Krystal lamented the fact that she almost died and left the
girls alone. Krystal wanted to go to sleep but was too nervous, so David offered her some more drugs. Krystal took the bait and took the milk. "One glass of laced milk," David joked. "Not funny," said Krystal. The two calmly talked about Babe and the clock struck midnight. David gave Krystal a gift — a locket with Babe's picture in it. The two embraced. David was thrilled when Amanda called to tell him that JR was officially drinking again.

Greenlee ignored the phone ringing. Ryan showed up at the door to
apologize about the video. Greenlee told Ryan she felt like it was her fault that the family in the video "didn't exist" anymore. Ryan
told Greens to close her eyes and block out everything not having to do with them being happy. Ryan disagreed with Greenlee's statement that it was their fault that Annie was in the hospital and said that nobody made her kill Richie and Di and stab Erica. Greenlee was concerned for Emma's happiness, but Ryan reminded her how much Emma loves her. Greenlee felt like she was stealing someone's family. Ryan promised Greenlee that they could be a family together. As Ryan pushed and pushed, Greenlee told him to stop; she didn't want to lose him again. Ryan told Greenlee that she wouldn't lose him again. Ryan kissed her and the two gave in to their passion, making love for the second time in one evening. "Thank you for making me believe again," Greenlee said. While laying with each other, Greenlee dozed off and had a terrible
nightmare about someone lying dead in a tub.

Aidan snuck into Annie's room once again. When she came to, she called him Aidan! He soon realized, though, that Annie still thought she was a little girl. Annie accused Aidan of being the "mean lady's" friend. Annie told Aidan that she missed her mommy and reminded him that her name was Emma. She wanted to take Aidan to see the penthouse — she knew where "daddy" kept his secret key — but Aidan told her that
she was safer in the hospital. Outside, Aidan kept his cover and told Dr. Sinclair that aliens had gotten into Annie's head. Dr. Sinclair went into Annie's room to talk about Aidan, but Annie didn't want to talk about it. Annie got agitated as Dr. Sinclair tried to tell her that she wasn't Emma. Annie went to grab the picture of Emma that Dr. Sinclair was holding and accidentally pushed Dr. Sinclair, who hit her head! Annie started to panic when Dr. Sinclair wouldn't wake up but then got an idea. Annie put on Dr. Sinclair's clothes and snuck out. As she ran off, Aidan saw her and tried to break out.

Annie arrived at the penthouse. "Is anybody home?" she asked. She went up to Emma's bedroom. Annie said, "Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite," as she fell asleep.
