All My Children Recaps

AMC Week of December 13, 2010

Monday

At ConFusion, Jack and Erica pondered executing their wedding by the end of the year. Erica bit her tongue about Greenlee and they toasted to the future. Greens observed them clinking glasses. After Jack left, Greens approached Erica and thanked her for saving Ryan's life. She asked Erica to help her with Kendall. Jack went to see Caleb to discuss Erica's case. He returned to ConFusion in time to hear Erica telling Greens that she wishes that Greenlee had never come back to town. A Jack/Erica argument ensued.

Madison paid a visit to Kendall. Greens left a voicemail apologizing for having come by earlier, which both women heard. Kendall observed that Madison seemed pale. She drove her to the hospital for the appointment Madison had with the ob/gyn. Randi saw Mad, who revealed that she is pregnant. Randi was stunned and agreed to wait with Mad until her appointment. Randi urged Mad to tell Ryan. Mad saw the doctor and learned she was 7 weeks along in her pregnancy.

Amanda confronted Griffin about Cara being in town. He was as evasive as possible, then went to the hospital, where he found Kendall in David's room. Caleb entered and defended Kendall to Griffin. Privately, Caleb questioned Kendall about what was going on; she confided that Griffin was right to not want her in David's room and described her near-smothering of David. Greenlee was David's next angry visitor. Erica asked Caleb what had happened with Kendall. Caleb told Erica that Kendall had tried to kill David.

Jake and Cara came face-to-face at the hospital. She told him that she had never meant to hurt him and revealed that she knew about Amanda and Trevor. She told Jake that she needed him at Doctors Without Borders. He took her to Krystal's to talk more privately. Amanda showed up, planted a kiss on Jake, and asked him to introduce her to his friend. Cara apologized for not having revealed her true identity to Amanda earlier. Cara beat a hasty retreat. She met up with Griffin in her hotel room. He was angry to hear that she had tried to recruit Jake to DWB. Meanwhile, Amanda questioned Jake about how it felt to see Cara again. Jake said it had been strange and surreal but was glad to have it behind him. Amanda got up; Jake had more flashbacks of Cara. Amanda returned to the table and Jake passionately kissed her.

Jack, who had been admonished by Erica for not reaching out to Kendall, went to visit the widow. He volunteered to take care of Christmas for the boys to take the load off her shoulders. She was grateful.

Tuesday

Cara had flashbacks to her romance with Jake, then ran into Tad, who made it clear that he wasn't pleased to see her. Tad had injured his hand; Cara tended to it. After Tad left, Cara flashed back to getting engaged to Jake. Cara went to the hospital and Griffin told her that she shouldn't be there. She insisted she was just there to see him and give him some food.

Amanda and Trevor met up with Jake at Krystal's. She questioned if he wanted to go back to Doctors Without Borders; he assured her that he did not. Jake went to the hospital and met up with Tad, who probed him for details about seeing Cara again. They caught a glimpse of Cara and Griffin playfully feeding each other. Jake was vexed, since Griffin had told him he wasn't in touch with Cara. Cara admitted to Griffin that being around Jake was harder than she thought it would be. He copped to being happy that she was there. Tad covertly swiped Griffin's bag and looked at his wallet. "You gotta be kidding me!" he exclaimed upon examining its contents.

Erica fretted to Caleb about Kendall's attempted smothering of David. She thanked him for his help with Kendall.

At Wildwind, Kendall told Bianca that she intends to go back to work. Rev. Ricky stopped by to discuss Miranda Center business. Kendall noted that she was filled with anger and hate for those who took Zach from her. He encouraged her to release her anger by breaking something. She broke a plate before exiting. Bianca was alone when Caleb returned home. They briefly discussed Kendall and Asher. Caleb made himself scarce because Asher was stopping by to work on Bianca's computer. Binks gave Asher a new coat for Christmas. Asher entered the room and had a more-pleasant-than-usual chat with Caleb.

Erica went to Kendall's to confront her about her attempt on David's life. Erica reminded Kendall that she needs to stay strong for the boys. After Jack stopped by, Bianca came to collect Kendall for a Christmas-tree-shopping excursion but she begged off. Erica went to ConFusion with Jack, who apologized to her for their earlier argument. Erica didn't tell Jack about Kendall trying to kill David.

Amanda paid a visit to Annie's "secret love nest," Annie was frustrated about JR and Marissa; Amanda was frustrated about Jake and Cara. Amanda went to ConFusion and made out with Jake.

Wednesday

Tad told Krystal that he was looking into Cara's reasons for being in town. Marissa and AJ came in and Marissa and Krystal talked about Marissa's plans to spend Christmas with AJ and JR. Krystal questioned JR's motives.

Madison ran into Angie and they talked about Angie's pregnancy. After some time at home with Ryan and their Christmas tree, Greenlee went to the hospital and talked to Angie, who assured Greens that David is in good medical hands. Angie had an ob/gyn appointment and copped to the doc that she was frightened about being unable to care for the baby due to her blindness. The doctor did her best to set Angie's mind at ease. Mad went to Ryan's and struggled to tell Ryan about her pregnancy. Greenlee returned and Mad covered her true reason for being there by announcing that she's quitting Fusion. Mad fled; Ryan took a Cambias call and Greens went into the hallway to tell Madison to stop coming around. She went to ConFusion, ordered a sparkling water, and resolved to figure out what to do on her own. Back at the penthouse, Greens and Ryan made love.

Annie was overjoyed when JR presented her with a jewelry box, but she was disappointed when it contained earrings, not a ring. He left to meet up with AJ and Marissa. Tad saw JR leaving the room and went to the mansion to confront him. JR blasted Tad for sticking his nose into his business. Tad warned JR not to hurt Marissa. Tad, Krystal, Marissa, AJ, Kathy, Jenny and JR had a good time setting up the Christmas tree. Back at the yacht club, Annie fantasized about JR proposing to her. She went to the manse and spied on a close moment between JR and Marissa. Tad nabbed her in the act and advised her to leave. Marissa asked JR what had brought about his change of demeanor. Tad took JR aside and told him he had caught Annie peeking in through the window. Annie went home and trashed her hotel room in a jealous rage. JR went to see Annie and told her that Tad had told her he'd seen her. He told Annie that it was just a matter of time before they could be a real couple. "You gotta trust me," he beseeched.

Thursday

At Krystal's, Amanda told Tad she's fretting about Cara's presence in town and asked him to dig around to figure out what's going on. Angie offered Griffin a fulltime position at the hospital. He turned it down, but offered to scrub in to some surgeries. After, Tad tried to get Griffin to open up about his past. He wanted to know why Griffin doesn't want to stay in Pine Valley and inquired about his relationship with Cara. Griffin made it clear that Cara doesn't stick around one place for too long, either, so they don't have anything to worry about. Tad did a search on Griffin's ties to Juarez, Mexico after digging through his wallet and found some interesting info.

Cara and Jake crossed paths in the hall. Awkwardness ensued. She apologized for hurting him and attempted to recruit him to come back to the field. He admitted that he still thinks about what they had together, adding that it wasn't for their time in the field, he wouldn't have discovered his passion for Pine Valley and Amanda. Cara said she's happy for him. Jake couldn't shake the feeling that Cara's insistence on recruiting him is really just about her not being able to move on. They bickered about Griffin. Tad entered to reveal that Griffin isn't Cara's lover; he's her brother! Tad explained that he saw an old photo of two small children in Griffin's wallet which helped give it away. Jake was shocked and outraged that his ex-wife had lied to him about everything. Cara admitted that she left him because she was too young and just wanted to escape.

At ConFusion, Madison admitted to Randi and Frankie that she didn't tell
Ryan about the baby because Greenlee showed up. She declared that the baby isn't any of his business anyway. She wanted to make the decision about whether to keep the baby on her own.

Ryan tried to cheer Greens up over dinner. They crossed paths with Kendall and the kids. Greens got a call and had to run. Ryan offered to help Kendall set up the house for the holidays for the boys. Kendall admitted that she's pained when she sees Ryan with Greenlee because it reminds her that she won't ever see her husband again. She also said doesn't want Greenlee around for Christmas and she wouldn't have anything to do with Ryan anymore either if it weren't for Spike.

Greens went to see David. Frankie said he might be trying to wake up. After Frankie left, Kendall told David that she'll never bee free of him because of what happened to Zach. She then saw his finger move and called for Frankie, who said that it doesn't mean anything. Greens urged David to be a better person if he does wake up. Greens returned home to tell Ryan what happened and admitted that she hopes David does wake up so Kendall will take everything out on him instead of her.

Griffin found Cara drunk at the bar and told him that Jake knows the truth. She then got a call from immigration, saying there was some issue with her paperwork, preventing her from skipping town right away. Jake was happy to see Amanda and they shared a kiss.

Friday

At Krystal's, Kendall made a call about the Miranda Center. Madison arrived and offered to help a harried Kendall by babysitting. "Why would you do that?" a surprised Kendall asked, but gratefully accepted. Later, Randi called Madison and reminded her that she was supposed to be at Fusion. Madison shared that she'd quit and Randi concluded that Mad was trying to avoid Greenlee. After, Madison mentioned Greenlee's meeting to Kendall and Kendall was annoyed that she hadn't been included. Kendall stormed out and asked Madison to watch her kids for a little longer.

Meanwhile, Greenlee confided to Ryan how she wished she could be there for Kendall, but Kendall wouldn't let her in. Ryan advised her to be patient and wait until Kendall is ready. Greens told Ryan how happy she is to have him in her life and they embraced. After, Ryan went to see Bianca and asked if she could help him resolve things between Kendall and Greenlee. Bianca thought that the ladies should work things out themselves, but agreed that Kendall needs her friends.

Jake and Amanda dined out. She wondered why he seemed to be distracted and suspected that Cara had something to do with it. He revealed that Griffin and Cara were never lovers and are brother and sister. He also told Amanda that Cara asked him to join Doctors Without Borders, but assured Amanda that he's not going to leave his family. Amanda pressed him and asked why Cara walked out of their marriage; Jake replied that Cara had said that she was too young..... Cara lamented to Griffin that there was a problem with her passport and she couldn't get on a plane until it was cleared up. She planned to drive to New York, but Griffin insisted that she stay with him for the holidays. When Griffin went to go check on a patient at the hospital, Cara asked if she could tag along so she'd have something to do.

At the Fusion meeting, Greenlee announced that she's back and in charge and ready to make some changes. "Is getting rid of me on of those changes?" asked Kendall, as she barged into the room. Greenlee explained that she didn't think Kendall was ready to deal with work and invited her to sit in on the meeting. This further angered Kendall and she accused Greens of not really wanting her there. Greenlee admitted that she doesn't want Kendall there because Kendall hasn't been acting like herself. Madison arrived and railed at Greenlee for attacking Kendall. Mad assured Kendall that the boys were being watched; Kendall then left. Madison and Greens faced off. "When the hell are you going to get out of my life?" Greenlee asked, reminding Madison that she'd quit. Mad headed out of the office and ran into Ryan. Ryan asked what was going on and Greenlee filled him in on her arguments with Madison and Kendall. She asked Randi if they could postpone the meeting. After, Greens found an old photo of her and Kendall and eyed it sadly. Later, one of the employees reported that Mad was in the bathroom vomiting.

At the hospital, Angie lamented to Tad and Opal that at this time of year there are usually too many patients and not enough doctors. Just then, Griffin and Cara entered and Griffin introduced his sister to everyone. Opal was cold to her, stating that Jake has moved on with his new wife. However, Tad shared that Cara had been the one to fix his hand. She then checked out Opal's medication and suspected that she was suffering from bad side effects. Cara suggested a different course of treatment, calling Opal "young" in the process and Opal softened toward her. Cara then asked Angie if she knew of a job opening outside of the hospital. Jake and Amanda arrived and realized that Cara hadn't left town. Cara apologized if her presence made things awkward. Jake told Angie to give Cara a job, insisting that he didn't want everyone going out of their way to make sure he isn't uncomfortable. Amanda was clearly not pleased, but Cara agreed to accept a position. Amanda insisted she was okay with Cara being at the hospital. "I trust you," she assured her hubby.... Angie and Cara informed Griffin that his sister is joining the team on a temporary basis. Griffin wasn't sure that it was a good idea, but Cara wanted to have something to do while she waited for the issue with her passport to clear up. Amanda later congratulated Cara and asked if they could be friends. Cara was touched when Amanda invited her out for a girls' lunch.... Tad asked Jake for the real reason why Jake encouraged Angie to hire Cara. Jake explained that he wanted Cara to be working in a safe environment. Griffin also accused Jake of having a hidden agenda when it came to Cara, but Jake denied it.

Kendall went to the hospital, looking for Griffin and asked if she could do more work with the Miranda Center to honor Zach's memory. "You and I are going to be joined at the hip," she announced. He argued that this was bigger than her trying to prove herself to other people and didn't want her getting in the way of his mission. "I am Zach's wife," she spat, demanding that Griffin answer to her from now on. Later, Madison returned to Kendall's place, where Kendall offered her new friend a job as the boys' nanny. Madison turned her down and Kendall felt badly for asking her to take care of Ryan's child. Madison squirmed and explained that things with Ryan are "complicated." Madison planned to leave Pine Valley -- indefinitely.

Greenlee and Ryan went to the hospital to visit David. Greenlee took a look at his chart, but Liza stopped her and announced that she's Hayward's new advocate.
