All My Children Recaps

AMC Week of August 23, 2010

Monday

In the park, David demanded to know what was wrong with Angie's eyes. He realized that she was completely blind. With no other options, she told him about her condition. Jesse showed up and Angie told him that David knew about her eyes. David offered to put the Hubbards in touch with an optic surgeon he knows, then noted that her career at the hospital and as a doctor is over. After threatening Angie, David left. Jesse comforted Angie, who told him that David couldn't touch what really mattered (e.g., their love). Angie's vision returned.

Ryan and Madison enjoyed brunch at Krystal's. Meanwhile, Greenlee answered the door when Scott showed up at Ryan's penthouse. Ryan showed up and Scott informed Ryan and Greens that he and Annie were getting married that day. After Scott left, Ryan asked Greenlee what she was really doing at his place. Greens claimed that she had simply wanted to update Ryan on how things were going with David. Ryan didn't think it was a good idea when Greens offered to go with him to meet with the plane mechanic.

JR asked Annie one more time if marrying Scott is really what she wants. She made it clear that she was going through with the wedding, then went upstairs to convince Emma that she was truly happy. Scott dropped by and Emma was happy to hear that Ryan was coming over. Meanwhile, JR asked Marissa to come to the cottage with him. She agreed, albeit with reservations. There, Marissa's guilty conscience overwhelmed her and she wept as she confessed, "I slept with Scott." JR reeled.

At the Chandler manse, Ryan gave Emma a pre-wedding pep talk and wished Annie well. Scott saw Annie and told her how beautiful she looked. With the justice of the peace, they began the ceremony. Scott caught a glimpse of a photo of JR and Adam and told Annie that he wanted to change the venue. Scott arranged for their wedding to take place in the park.

David went home and told Greenlee about Angie. Greens's sympathy for Angie didn't sit well with David. Greens urged David to take the high road. He told her that he wanted to believe that she had faith in him. He apologized for having "felt compelled" to blackmail her to keep her in their marriage.

Ryan went to Maryland to get the goods on the mechanic. Madison followed him, much to his surprise.

Tuesday

Ryan tried to get Madison to leave when she followed him to his meeting with the mechanic. Madison tried to convince Ryan that his mission was too dangerous, then blurted out that she loves him. He assured her that she had nothing to feel embarrassed about.

David kissed Greenlee and asked her if she had felt anything for him. "I'm trying," she replied.

Crushed when Marissa confessed to sleeping with Scott, JR told Marissa to get out of his way so that he could confront Scott. She insisted that Scott wasn't to blame; it was her fault. Marissa felt that it was time to face the fact that their marriage was over. JR left; Marissa broke down in tears and accidentally called David instead of Krystal. He told her to stay put until he got there. David rushed out, leaving Greenlee in the hotel room alone. She raced to see Ryan, who was floored by her sudden arrival. Ryan sent Madison home with a kiss. Greens asked Ryan if things were serious between him and Madison. Ryan said that it was becoming so. Greens went to leave, then reported to Ryan that she had seen the mechanic in the hallway and he had run upon catching sight of her. Ryan took off after him but managed only to get his license plate number. When Ryan came back into the room, he had a splitting headache. Madison, meanwhile, went to the penthouse to prepare dinner for Ryan. After parting ways with Greenlee, who was worried that the mechanic would tattle on her to David, Ryan returned home, where he was pleased to see Madison. They kissed.

Scott and Annie exchanged words of love as they prepared to swap vows. Emma joined them and after some family photos, the ceremony got underway. Meanwhile, JR charged into the mansion looking for Scott and found AJ instead. AJ told him that the wedding had been moved to the park. Annie paused the ceremony to find flowers for Emma. She was stunned when JR showed up and beseeched her not to marry Scott. Annie was unmoved by JR telling her that his marriage was over. "Scott's not the man you think he is," cautioned JR. Scott strolled up and told Annie that she deserved to hear the truth from him. Scott admitted that he had slept with Marissa. JR promptly decked him.

David got to the cottage and insisted on staying to console Marissa. David had the realization that it was too late for him to be a father to Marissa. He drove Marissa home and then left at her request. He went back to the yacht club, where he was met by Greens. He told Greens that he'd left because Marissa was in crisis but that she'd rejected him.... Marissa broke the news to an upset AJ that she was moving out again.

Wednesday

Zach and Kendall met at the yacht club for coffee. Zach told Kendall that their acquaintance Art had made an offer on their house. Kendall was on board. She left to go see Opal; Liza entered and she and Zach caught up. Liza fibbed to Zach that she and Tad were still together.

At the Martin house, Damon told Asher that he'd driven Tad's new car into a pole. Tad entered and Asher claimed responsibility for the damage to the vehicle. Damon was grateful to Asher, who was evasive when Damon asked him about his relationship with his own father. Tad went to the yacht club and was happy to see Zach. Tad told Zach that he and Liza were broken up. When Liza returned from the ladies' room, Zach asked her why she'd lied. She copped to the fib but accused Zach of running away from his problems on the boat.

A weepy Marissa told Krystal that she had come clean with JR about Scott. An arriving Colby was shocked when she heard Marissa say that her marriage was over for good. Marissa tried to make Colby understand, then told a disbelieving Krystal that there was nothing between her and Scott. Kendall arrived at Krystal's and caught up with Opal. Opal urged Kendall to talk Zach into staying in Pine Valley. Later, at Wildwind, Bianca made a similar plea. Bianca got Kendall to admit that she wanted to stay in town. Zach overheard Kendall telling Bianca how much she misses being home and worries that the boys will resent not growing up somewhere permanent. Zach revealed his presence and Kendall was alarmed.

At the park, JR punched Scott as Annie reeled from Scott's revelation that he'd slept with Annie. JR urged Annie not to marry Scott; Scott begged Annie to understand that he'd made a terrible mistake but loved her. Annie asked to talk to JR alone, so Scott reluctantly left. Annie reminded JR that she had been on the verge of marrying Scott and asked him what, exactly, he was offering her. He told her that he wanted to figure out what they had and asked her to leave town with him. Scott ran into Marissa, who was unsurprised but hurt to find out that JR had already gone to Annie. She left; Annie approached Scott and told him that she loves him, not JR. After an emotional talk, Annie told Scott that she was going through with the wedding. JR watched from nearby. Annie made Scott promise her that she could trust him from that point on. Scott, in turn, asked Annie to be his full partner. They accepted one another's terms. The justice of the peace arrived and pronounced them man and wife as Emma cheered.

Colby ran into Asher again at the park and he cheered her up by appreciating her gossip about Annie's Chandler-bed-hopping and brother-killing. Damon arrived and Colby offered Asher a room at the yacht club, which he accepted. Colby and Damon went back to Tad's, where Colby assured Tad that Asher is a stand-up guy.

At the yacht club, Asher read a note that contained the mysterious words, "One day you'll find yourselves reunited with the family you lost."

Thursday

Kendall tried to backtrack when Zach overheard her saying that she worried about depriving the boys by travelling the world instead of making a home in Pine Valley. Binks excused herself as Zach told Kendall that he'd been selfish for not thinking about what he was making her give up. Bianca, Kendall and Zach went to Fusion and Zach saw his wife light up to be back at the office. The Fusion staffers gathered to send Kendall off with a toast. Kendall became emotional and rushed out; Zach followed her. They went back to Wildwind and met with the colleague of Zach's who wanted to buy their house. After listening to the lout's plans for her home, Kendall blurted out that he couldn't have it. Zach supported her, then told her that they weren't selling the house and that they were moving back to P.V. after a few more weeks on the boat. She was elated.

Tad got a message from Liza about Damon's final adoption papers. Krystal asked Tad if he could help Caleb with something. Krystal introduced Caleb to Tad, and explained that Caleb was trying to get the goods on David for causing the plane crash. Tad was dubious that they could find anything incriminating enough to nail David. Tad told Caleb about David's torment of Dixie. Tad agreed to help Caleb get David out of the hospital. Krystal invited Caleb to a home-cooked meal at her place; he accepted. At the house, Krystal told Caleb that she didn't believe he's truly a loner. They bonded over beer and conversation.

David left an angry message for the plane mechanic. Meanwhile, Madison overheard Greenlee telling Ryan that she sometimes wished she could kill David. Ryan excused himself to take a call from Emma. Madison opened up to Greens about her own disastrous marriage. Greens mused that Madison probably felt relieved when Henry died. When Ryan reentered the room, Greens said she had to go home to David. Madison beseeched her to reconsider and pledged her help. Greens said she was annoyed by Madison's kindness because she wanted to hate her. Mad invited Greens to stay for dinner and went to check on the chicken. Ryan admitted to Greens that he hates her being with David as much as she hates him being with Madison. A beckon from Madison from the other room interrupted a close moment between the exes.

David sat down at Liza's table at the yacht club over her protests. David told Liza about the missing plane mechanic and harangued her for waiting for Tad. David vented about what JR had done to Marissa. "I miss Colby," sighed Liza. David put a comforting hand on Liza's. David excused himself when Tad arrived. Tad quickly realized that Liza had tricked him into coming; nothing was wrong with the papers. She begged him not to leave. In the background, David grumbled that Liza was only manipulating Tad because she loved him, sufficiently bothering Tad to the point that he left. Liza told David that she appreciated his support. Liza offered to speak to Marissa on David's behalf.

Tad was surprised to find Caleb at his place. He questioned Krystal as to whether it was a date; she said no.

Friday

David presented Greenlee with tickets to a fund-raiser hosted by Caleb for the Miranda Center.

Colby stopped by the Martin house, where Damon and Asher were playing video games. Colby bought Damon a new cell phone. She left to buy breakfast; Damon told Asher how odd it feels to not be able to afford to give things to his girlfriend, who lavishes gifts on him. Damon called Krystal's to inquire about a job working at Caleb's party. Damon trashed his ADHD pills, a decision that Asher questioned. After Asher made his case, Damon popped a pill.

Spike and Madison played blocks at Ryan's. Ryan told Kendall that he was hopeful that things might get serious between him and Madison. After Spike and Kendall left, Ryan and Madison made love for the first time.

Liza met with Iris at the yacht club and told her that she wants the now-vacant D.A. job. Liza went to Krystal's, where David had just left another message for an unresponsive Marissa. Colby came to Krystal's and David gave her tickets to the party, telling her that they were a peace offering from Liza. Colby was appreciative and Liza thanked David for helping her with her daughter. Colby returned home and told Damon about Liza's gift. He said he couldn't go because he's working at the party. Damon suggested that Asher accompany Colby; they agreed to the plan. Asher went to the yacht club, where he mysteriously had a tuxedo....

Kendall asked Greenlee to join her for coffee at the yacht club. She told Kendall that she and Zach were moving back to town. The women talked about Madison and Ryan. Greens insisted that she couldn't focus on Ryan right now. Kendall went to Krystal's and spied Liza and David through the window. David supplied Liza with more "evidence" against Greenlee; Kendall saw Liza handing David the key to her office. Kendall then encountered Liza and asked if she could buy Liza a drink. Liza was suspicious, but accepted.

After Madison and Ryan had sex, there was a knock on the door; Ryan assumed it was Kendall, but it was Greenlee. The awkward moment was broken by a call from Randi, telling Madison that her client meeting had been moved up. Madison dashed out after Greens updated Ryan on the David situation and Ryan urged Greens to get away from her hubby ASAP. Ryan and Greens got into a slight argument but recommitted to their friendship.
