AMC Week of August 11, 2008
Monday
Dre reunited with Cassie at the yacht club. Pete showed up to "keep tabs" on
Colby (stalking, in her phrasing). The teens chatted about who else might
have been culpable for Richie's death. Dre and Cassandra's bond deepened
while Petey continued to get nowhere in his quest for Colby's affections.
Jesse caught Tad sniffing for clues in Annie's car. Jesse decided to
unofficially allow Tad to continue his investigation. Tad sensed something
amiss with the car —namely, the missing lug wrench. The men wondered if it
could have been used as a murder weapon.
In Vegas, Greenlee popped the question to Aidan; he accepted and darted off
to find a justice of the peace.... Zach tried to rein in Kendall's desire to
get the goods on Annie.... Ryan and Annie decided on the spur of the moment
to renew their vows. They had to wait for another couple (Aidan and Greens,
unbeknownst to them) to finish their ceremony. Aidan and Greens's wedding
got underway with Babs and Foster as their witnesses. They were amazed and
thrilled when Annie, Ryan, Kendall and Zach materialized. Ryan concealed his
feelings for Greenlee as he watched her marry another man.
Amanda and Randi chatted at ConFusion and Amanda offered her a job as a
receptionist.... On orders from Erica, Carmen went to Fusion in search of a
new job and ended up chatting with Babe, who offered her a position....
Carmen ran into Randi and they obviously shared a past connection.
Tuesday
Krystal overheard Adam at the mansion barking at Barry on the phone. Krystal told Adam that she was there to say good-bye; he was crushed. She insisted she didn't love him anymore. "Liar!" he hissed. An emotional Krystal
reiterated that she was through with Adam.
At BJ's, Frank told Jake that Fletcher was demanding money in exchange for
Randi.
At the casino, Ryan tried to conceal his heartbreak as he, Annie, Zach,
Kendall, Ryan and Greenlee celebrated the Devanes' marriage. Kendall (who
observed Ryan's suffering) was preoccupied by Annie's behavior; Zach urged
her to drop it, then privately tried to question Annie about Richie. Annie
felt like things were looking up for her and Ryan, then was upset by a
vision of Richie at the gaming tables.... Ryan told Kendall to drop the
subject of him and Greenlee. Greens and Aidan were blissfully happy.
Randi and Carmen discussed their obviously tense past at ConFusion. The
exchange ended badly, with Randi telling Carm off and ordering her to leave
after Carmen noted that Randi was as cynical as ever on the subject of men.
Randi went to BJ's and planted a sweet kiss on Frankie's lips.
Wednesday
Jack and Erica discussed her relationship with Sam. He commented that he and
Erica didn't have a future; she asked if he'd met someone else. Jack replied
that he wanted Erica to see other men and that it was time for them both to
move on. Jack excused himself to take a call from Carmen and invited her out
that evening.
Randi showed up to her first day of work at Fusion. Amanda asked what was up
between Randi and Carmen but Randi remained tight-lipped. Amanda let Randi
know that she knows about her past as a hooker and promised not to tell the
other girls.
JR told Babe that he was going to take Fusion away from Kendall and
Greenlee. She made it clear that she didn't want him to take over the
company, then left for work. JR shared his desire to acquire Fusion with
Adam. The men strategized. JR told Adam not to tell Babe that they were
moving forward with the plan. Adam warned JR that they would have to play
dirty to win.
At home with Krystal, Tad picked up on his wife's frayed nerves. Krystal and
Tad had a heart-to-heart about Krystal's bond with Adam. Tad was worried to
hear about Colby's drinking. Krystal expressed her commitment to Tad and
they kissed tenderly. The duo snuggled with Jenny and expressed their
gratitude for each other. Kathy came downstairs and was displeased to see
Tad and Krystal kissing.
Carmen irked Adam with her concern about Colby's drinking and by pressing
him to improve his own behavior for his kids' sake. Colby took a shine to
Carmen, who was determined to help Adam improve his health. Carmen and Colby
danced and enjoyed each other's company.
Thursday
Erica came to see Sam in his hotel room to express her sympathy over the
media explosion over Dre's possible involvement in Richie's death. Erica and
Sam ended up in a passionate kiss but she pulled back before it got too hot
and heavy.
Frank and Cassandra met at BJ's for milkshakes. Cassie, who was very upset
about the whole Richie investigation, placed a call to her dad, Jacob, in
Paris..... Angie and Jesse talked about the Richie case and Angie hoped with
all her heart that this nightmare for her family would end soon.
Greenlee and Aidan's honeymoon got underway in Vegas and they blissfully
consummated their marriage. Greens was concerned about Aidan's reaction to
her desire to keep the surname Smythe, but he reacted well. Her fears
erased, the happy couple decided it was time to return home.... In Vegas,
Zach was unhappy about Kendall's preoccupation with Ryan and Greenlee and
Annie and made that known to his wife. He expressed his desire for her to
focus on their relationship.... Ryan and Annie shared some close moments in
their hotel room, which were marred, for her, by her continuing visions of
Richie.... The three couples converged in the casino, all intending to head
back to Pine Valley, and Zach suggested they all go together on the Cambias
jet.
Jake and Taylor bumped into each other on a jog near the beach. He corrected
her jogging form. Taylor was not as gung-ho about chatting with Jake as he
was about chatting with her, but she did reveal her name to him. Later, in
military uniform, she showed up at the Hubbards and shared a warm reunion
with Frankie.
Friday
The Slaters, Devanes and Laverys toasted Aidan and Greenlee's marriage
aboard the Cambias jet. When Greens dropped her wedding ring in the toilet,
Ryan rescued it. They chatted in the tight space of the jet restroom and she
opened up to Ryan about her fears about marriage to Aidan. The door got
stuck with Ryan and Greenlee trapped inside.... Kendall and Annie's
relationship remained strained aboard the plane.... Ryan and Greenlee's easy
chemistry was apparent to both Kendall and Annie; Annie remained plagued by
visions of Richie.... Annie covered when Kendall caught her talking to
herself.... Aidan got the door open but was far from thrilled to see how
well Ryan and Greenlee were getting along in such close quarters.
Carmen and Randi walked down memory lane at Myrtle's boutique, where they
used to love to window shop (they couldn't afford the merchandise). The duo
went to BJ's, where Carmen asked for dish on Randi's guy.
Frank introduced Taylor to his folks; they'd served in the same platoon. The
Hubbards were stunned when Taylor presented Frankie with the Purple Heart
he'd left behind in Iraq. Frank noted that he hadn't been able to save
everyone..... Angie wept to Jesse about how lucky they are that Frank came
back from Iraq alive.... Frank and Taylor caught up and he called her out on
her foot injury, which she insisted didn't need treatment. Taylor was eager
to be redeployed to Iraw. Randi strolled up in time to catch Frank and
Taylor in an embrace, which she misinterpreted the nature of.
Kathy returned home from camp and, at Krystal's request, Tad left so that
the ladies could have some time to bond. Kathy was rude to Krystal and
fantasized about teaming with Tad to get rid of her stepmom. Krystal
panicked when Kathy deliberately locked her out of the house as Jenny cried
inside. Tad returned and opened the door; Krystal rushed upstairs to tend to
the baby and Tad yelled at Kathy, who was playing with her dollhouse. Kathy
calmly explained that she'd locked Krystal out because she wants her to go
away.
